Has potential but, is undergoing some major bugs that make it unplayable.
Fun little game with nice aesthetics. Takes about 3h to finish. Some of the writing needs to be spell/grammar checked. I had no issues with crashing/bugs. Even though it is still in early access and apparently abandoned, for under 5€ it is worth the price.
This Early Access game is trying to blend stealth, cyberpunk and Hotline Miami-ish gameplay. It's unpolished and unfinished, which is a real shame.
Furthermore, Steam really should look at curating the store page, since it seems the game will never be finished. I like to support indie developers' projects, but Geeksos is a prime example of why I won't risk more than $5 on an Early Access. After this experience I'm less likely to even waste my pocket change on Early Access ever again.
Not recommended and should be pruned from the Steam store since it's abandonware.
Geeksos is actually a really fun little game to play.
It may be a little rough around the edges but it's still decent enough to play through.

- Levels are pretty short and repetitive
- Most of the achievements just need to complete a level or buy an upgrade
This game is a steaming, hot pile of garbage. Don't waste your time or money. It started poorly and will never be finished.
Terrible grammar, no idea as to what is going on, lack of stealth.
It's fun to play for a bit, but that's it. It could do well with a bit more work.
Fun little game, especially for the price. If you've got a cyberpunk itch and enjoy Hotline Miami, this is for you.

The game is a top down shooter (similar style of Hotline Miami) limited ammo and "resources" and score system for augmentation of the player.
Pros:
It's fun? Yes a lot. If you do enjoy top down shooters with a limited ammo economy in a "cyberpunk" world the game is really fun.
Cons:
Is full of bugs/crash/freezes? Yes. (I experienced the freezes then CtD a lot randomly)
Conclusion:
Do I suggest an incomplete game that is "technically" abandoned because low sales? No avoid it.
Geeksos is a really cool game, it`s simple but looks pretty good, works well and it`s really fun to play, it tooks almost 4 hours to get the 100% achievements. Great job!

Funny setting and a large number of mechanics you can play with. This small game delivers more than enough content for its price.
It's so, so close to Cyberpunk Hotline Miami.
The combat mechanics are just slightly too clunky to feel truly rewarding.
The guns feel a little too underwhelming to feel worth using, especially when the 2nd level punching augment let's you take down guards with ease for only like 1,300 currency (And the first mission gives you like 3k for completing.) I literally beat the whole campaign in just over an hour only punching.
Besides that, I've noticed there's a lot of invisible geometry in the levels, preventing me from properly getting into cover at times, plus I've been shot through the frames of doors a couple of times. Also, on the subject of doors, it's very difficult to see whether some doors are open or closed, especially when they don't face the camera, meaning you're going to run into a lot of closed doors. Plus they autoclose, meaning if you open a door, back away slightly to get a better angle, there's a good chance it'll shut in your face.
The enemy AI is pretty gimmicky too. While I'm sure it's intentional at least to some degree, but I was able to bait enemies through walls much further away than seemed appropriate. It's all too easy to just sprint near a wall outside a door, wait till the enemy comes out, and just punch him. Same goes for enemies located deep within a level, wherein I just sprint near one of the outside walls, wait till they make their way through the level outside to me, and just cheese 'em.
The bottom line is this game isn't outright the worst, especially for only a few bucks, but ignoring the price the game just isn't super fun or rewarding, it's just kind of a thing that exists. However if they tightened up the combat a bit, maybe reworked some mechanics, it totally could be good.
Game plays like a simplified version of the modern Deus Ex games (Human Revolution et al), but from an isometric perspective, and with writing that's aiming for tongue-in-cheek rather than so serious it's main source of humor is being serious to a point of farce. That's not an original concept, I've seen a few games go for a similar model... but I'd actually say this one does it considerably better than any others I've seen... which is saying a lot since this project likely had less resources to work with than most and honestly it's competition tackled the concept well enough that it's a high bar to exceed.
"Simplified" is a key word, expect to see a lot of trappings of Deus Ex (and similar games), but don't expect the complexity, depth, or sophistication of their AAA iteration equivalents... that's really fine with me though, it's simply a lighter game and so it has lighter mechanics, which also fits with the lighter price tag. I went back to check my reciept before writing this, make sure I didn't pay like 20 bucks or something that'd make it more a so-so value, but it was actually far cheaper than I'd been expected... it's really quite a steal at it's humble price tag. It may or may not fill the hours a 60 dollar game does, but it's a lot of bang for your buck as a game that's quite a lot of fun for potentially a decent number of hours for less than 1/10 the price. Ultimately, route planning and character customization is not super deep, but present enough it helps keep decent core gameplay interesting.
The Isometric approach feels more conducive to stealth than over the shoulder or 1st person, though that amounts to "easier" which may not be what some people want, in all fairness. That said, the settings menu has a difficulty slider that offers a pretty good gamut, so whether you want a steep challenge or are a casual that doesn't like doing too many reloads, the game has you covered. I rather enjoyed the puzzle-like nature of stealth in the game (as someone who is commonly "meh" about stealth in games), and you've the option of going more run and gun if that's more your comfort zone... the core concept of "Choose an approach and build for it" is present and functions well (arguably better, since in actual Deus Ex Human Revolutions, "Pure combat" builds were brutally and obtusely difficult in much of the game and there were portions where "pure stealth" was deeply sub-optimal).
The game is even pretty good aesthetically, which I confess was a bit of a surprise for me... the blocky polygons (usually very much not my thing, I'd prefer 2d pixeljunk art) felt very charming, giving me extremely nostalgic vibes of Final Fantasy VII (likely intentional, but that's just speculation on my part), while the music was shockingly funky/catchy.
I sort of doubt this game would crack my top ten that I've played in the last year or so in terms of how many minutes of enjoyment it will give me or their intensity, but then it's also a lot cheaper than most of what that top ten list will end up being. If you've never played Deus Ex, well, you may enjoy that more instead (and it's probably quite cheap by now itself), but as an homage/love letter to the genre, this is more for gamers that are already a fan of games like this and looking for another solid entry in the genre... If that's the case, this is an excellent title on a pound-for-pound basis to a point I'd call it a must have. It's also by no means a bad way to just kill a few hours... I had more fun with it than I would buying a movie ticket, for half the price, and I'd wager far longer than 2 hours before I'm done with it.
Please for the love of god improve the stealth mechanics.
Add something like a stealth takedown, and fix the ammo economy
guns have horrendous spread, even if my aim is on point only 30% of the bullets shot will hit the enemy with the pistol, assault rifle and smg.
enemies are too tanky, lower the health of both the player and the enemies or stealth is literrally impossible.
Overall, the controls feel like trying to swim through mud.
However, the developers are clearly invested in this game, and I would like you (the reader) to keep in mind that the current build of the game (the build from 19/04/2019) is subject to change.
Therefore I will still recommend this game out of optimism for its future.
So, I took some drugs and murdered a bunch of corporate game developers in slow motion. I think, I'm ready to fix gaming industry.
Gameplay changes with your equipment and augmentations. At first I played with shotgun, lots of health, medkit and I just storm most of the rooms. Right now I bought datajack and now enemy turret is my new friend. Also, I found Mario hat and few other secrets. Pretty cool.
Very fun and brutal. I like it.
