Сочетание метроидвании с нелинейным исследованием и игровым процессом. В Recompile игрокам придётся исследовать, сражаться, взламывать и выживать. Откройте для себя множество секретов древнего цифрового ландшафта и приготовьтесь изменить конфигурацию всей системы.
Весь сюжет происходит в рамках одной секунды реального времени.
Исследуйте древние цифровые руины Мейнфрейма и откройте для себя разные способности перемещения, которые помогут вам на пути к истинному разуму.
В игре есть несколько концовок, которые зависят от ваших решений. Вы можете чинить системы, восстанавливать потерянные данные, взламывать или уничтожать врагов, попутно раскрывая правду о Гипервизоре и первоначальном предназначении Мейнфрейма.
Обитатели Мейнфрейма чудны и разнообразны, и многие из них по своей природе враждебны. В вашем распоряжении будет полный набор мощного оружия и способностей, которые помогут выживать, защищаться и разрушать.
Многие элементы окружения — запертые двери, силовые поля, лифты и даже генераторы врагов — активируются при помощи сложной системы взаимосвязанных логических ворот.
Никакого жёстко заданного кода. Все элементы системны и полностью пригодны для использования.
Логические ворота можно свободно инвертировать в разные стороны, чтобы безопасно обходить головоломки и опасные препятствия. Вы можете взломать даже самих обитателей Мейнфрейма и изменить их код, чтобы заставить подчиняться вашим командам.
Сюжет затрагивает множество тем: «Есть ли у машин чувства?», «Какова природа выбора?» и многие другие.
Жизнь и смерть. Хаос и предопределённость. Чувства и разум. Интеллект существует во многих формах. В этом умирающем мире нужно исследовать все возможности. Учитывать и уважать все точки зрения. Только так мы сможем выжить.

I thought it was good. Loved the environment, platforming and music.
Some things it needs:
- UI to help guide the user
- locks to prevent the user from advancing until they get the upgrades required to continue
- remove upgrade UI from map when already taken or show a different icon
- show location names BEFORE crossing portal
- maybe fast travel
This game has to be one of my favorite games. like ever. best part, its not even close. but there are some bad things, and some good things.

Even with the bad stuff, the graphics and story make up for it in my mind. i know some people are more for the metroidvania, and some want to just enjoy the graphics and stroy. (im the 2nd) but i would totally recomend it.

Really cool game!! Absolutely recommended!
This game has so much potential. It could be really good, but it falls short on 3 major fronts, that most people will just put the game down and not finish it.
1) Unskippable dialogue.
If more of the dialogue was shown and it could be sped up, that would be ideal. Instead, the player has to wait for it to be drawn on screen, which wouldn't be too annoying if it was clearer when dialogue would end. There were so many times where I would think the dialogue was over, but it would just keep going on and on. Then when it would end, if I had just gotten to a new area, I would regain control, move forward a little bit, and then an unskippable "cutscene" would play showing the whole area.
People want to move around and not have to deal with unskippable things like this. Every once in a while is fine, but it felt like it happened way too often. I was interested in the story and the dialogue, but the way it was done in game is not to my liking. It felt too intrusive.
2) Which path to take in game.
The pathing in the game is fine, but it could be better. If you don't get the slow-mo upgrade early on, then having to face some of the bosses without it is going to be painful. The developers should have had the pathing be such that the player would "choose" a path so that they can get key upgrades first.
3) Unable to teleport to locations.
Why can't I teleport to a gate that I've already visited? If I need to do any backtracking, which I did near the end trying to figure out what else I needed to do, it makes it so annoying have to basically redo each level again.

There are other things that the developer could improve on quality of life wise, like showing on the map what items have already been gotten, but I don't want to be too hard on the game. It had a lot of potential and could have been so much better, in fact it still can be so much better if at least #1 and 3 are patched into the game. #2 would be a bit harder, but I digress.
Would I recommend this game?....Maybe. The story is interesting, the art style is great, the upgrades are cool, plays great on the steam deck. It's not a bad game, but it's shortcomings are so glaring that it detracts from everything the game does well.
I have a soft spot for this game, if I'm being honest. If you want a nice little take on the internals of an AI, all while being a metroidvania, play it. They really killed it with the art direction and music.
Fun, albeit short, metroidvania style game with an interesting plot. Very enjoyable IMHO
This was a surprisingly fun adventure. I finished this in 12 hours. If you dislike or find 3D platformers challenging then this game is not for you. Early game is challenging and direction is pretty open until you figure out that you need certain unlocks to progress. The level design is fun and really reflects the inner themes. The bosses are fairly challenging without cheesing. overall I very much enjoyed this game. The game does not hold your hand on where you need to go. Recompile ability was pretty useless IMO and elevators are a bit too slow for me. Replayability is non-existent but I feel this is not a bad thing. Fall damage is a bit difficult to feel out at first. Pretty lights hehehe.
