IT IS A GRATE GAME BUT ON OF THE MISSOSION HAS YOU DELIVER AND A PACKAGE TO THE TOWER BUT THE CREATE DOES NOT FIT IN THE DOOR WITCH MADE ME RAGE QUITE. I WAS A THAT DOOR OF LIKE 15 MIN AND MADE NO PROPGRESS
the recent negative reviews are kinda dumb since the game is getting much deeper and better. though right now it is very buggy i give it a good review i might change it to a bad one if it doesn´t become stable but else good work.
Been watching the development since Itch.io, very very happy to see how far its come and incredibly excited for the future!
Buggy Mess. cant get past the tutorial. Tells me to wait for a customer to come in. Customer Requests a Shovel. Cool Easy Peasy. Game tells me to put ingots on anvil after heating. Done. Select Blueprint. Done. Hammer ingots turns into dagger blade when I selected shovel head. Refuses to make with ingots on the anvil. Order fails from time expiring. Wtf
I'm beginning to think the developers do not think anything through or test concepts out. You have to some how fit a massive job create through a small door when delivering creates. The horse glitches in just about everything you do with it. When this game first came out, none of this was an issue that remember. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME
Controls are absolutely horrendous and at times make the game unplayable
Very fun, love seeing continous development!
fun for all the little kiddos
This will certainly be one of the greatest blacksmithing games in the year 2062
Very promising first look into what you've been working on, I'm very proud of what you've been able to achieve as a solo dev. Keep up the amazing work and ill keep on playing!!
The game is not as seen in the photos and videos. if you want an out dated and no longer supported version of the game this is it but if you want it to be updated you have to go to an unstable version which is completely different. i loved the original version of the game: the game play, the simple graphics, and overall the simplicity of the game but to get that i need to play a version that is no where near finished never will be finished and just tends to crash and lose saves
The game in the pictures is not the game you are buying. seems the dev is in the middle of experimenting with a totally different direction of what we originally got. the model, story and most of the mechanics of the itch.io version are gone. the game i funded is now a husk of it's former self. it still has somewhat of a charm but it has lost it's arcadey feel and it's goofy repetitive grind that had funny blocky peeps asking for long pole hammers and now feels like it's trying to be a bit more serious.
do not for the love of god look at the stores photos. they are now not what the game is all about.
Good game, only problem I have is crashing and then losing progress due to not saving the game yet
i played a very nice early version of this game and remember having lots of fun.
years have passed and i was happy the game wasn't dead/on ice anymore.
so i tried the new patch open minded and .... got disappointed to say the least
idk what happened, but the complete overhaul of the game is not fun anymore...
the tutorial is really bad now and the game feels so much jankier
i didn't even get to try the mining part (if it even is there anymore?) which i was really excited about.
but in the end i didn't even care for it after getting stuck for the n-th time and having to reload and redoing the tutorial steps again
note to future me:
if you have an itch to play a nice indie blacksmithing game,
read the recent reviews first, before wasting time on this again
this community sucks more dick than the game, and it barely works 90% of the time. I come back every few years, and some critical bug plagues the game, from ur tools getting permanently removed from your inventory, or your hard earned and crafted products getting eaten by a weird clipping bug with the deconstructer (through a wall), poor optimization, and the smelters just not working for like 3 years straight, it isn't the developer's fault at all no, it was an unfortunate time to make an unreal 4 game right as 5 was coming out.
Their discord and any stragglers I found that played this game were just generally out of touch and bigoted. The 2 admins of the discord are rude as shit and are complete morons that don't know how to make a community grow and thrive. They value patrons over long time members, there's no rules channel, and the modding support actively carries the game with multiplayer...
all in all, buy, but do NOT partake in this community, it is nothing but out touch people of their time...
This game is fun in its current state, but I wouldn't buy it just yet. The game has been in the process of being rebuilt for over a year now. I'd wait for the remake of the game to come to the stable branch, which should happen soon, since the first build of the remake just was released.
The new Unstable version(Read the update log) is pretty good, I have some issues though, the new branch has kinda lost the original charm, don't get me wrong i do enjoy it, but it has really shifted to a new game. Some bugs I've noticed is that when it rains the game lags so hard that I'm averaging around 12-15 FPS, the inventory system is quite clunky, and to be honest, the weapons are plain, the handle is a straight rod, pommels are just cylinders, and the hilt is just two pipes stuck together. Unlike the old version in which there were more beautifully crafted handles and hilts. Now, I have only played for a few hours so I may be wrong on most stuff, except the bugs, and don't get me wrong, this game is fun and has a lot to do, the only thing left i have that I am not a fan of is the tutorial, it is kind of a drag. However all things considered, this game is worth it and is quite fun, I'd say 7/10 would recommend.
I have had this game for awhile and its always been one of my more cozy games when i wanna relax and just do something simple. At first i was worried as the game had not seen an ACTUAL update in over like 2-3 years. We had only seen screenshots and sparatic news posts of an update that was (at the time) potentially coming. That update came out today. And I have to say im impressed and think it was well worth the wait. I highly reccomend anyone buy this game. My hopes are that its only up from here.
Several small bugs that affect gameplay a little but overall it is mostly functional. My biggest complaint is the tower where yo make deliveries to. Very hard to get the boxes Through the door.
We got some REAL potential here can't wait! <3
This is a good game for those who want to play a game about being a blacksmith
I want to like this game, it has a really fun loop, but as how it is, the game is riddled with several bugs and frequent crashes, it kills my experience, I'll mantain a dislike unless the game fixes these issues.
This game is a bug filled mess. Even for $10 its to much. Materials are to spread out. You cant fight back against enemies you just die in one hit. This game Seven years ago was so much better despite being smaller in scope. Im so disappointed in this current state of game.
i wont lie so far i have NOT had a good time on this game BUT i feel like this will go places so i'ma sit on it for a bit play it from time to time and hope and pray that this game will get a full release unlike some other games that will just stay in early access and use that as an a excuse as to why the game is buggy but i do feel like this game is worth the purchase.
ive played the itch.io version a LOAD and it was kinda fun in a mind numbing kinda way, but it dosent seem like the paid version is much differant, and on top of that the UI is bugged AF, i have to wait 2 min irl (no, sleeping dosent make it faster) eatch time i order a part....why? its so unnecesary and the tutorial got bugged so hard that it wouldent register the 3 ingots on the anvil, no matter what i did it just wouldent work so i gave up, i expected there to be a lot more in the years its been from the free release but i was very wrong
ITS SUPER GOOD
I really came optimistic and open-minded to this one (despite the horrible graphics), but unfortunately the game just isn't fun and boring. Crafting system is ridiculous - a customer asks for a pickaxe for which I don't have a blueprint. Traversing the map is tedious.
It is a nice game to chill on
fun chill little game
Lot's of potential in this! Will make a full-ish review when it releases!
Extremely disappointed, tutorial is by far the worst I have ever seen in any game. Smithing does not work, the customer in the tutorial is "supposed to" give unlimited time for first order, but over 4 separate saves it does not work. Absolute waste of almost 3 hours of my life. Snapping does not work for ingots on the anvil majority of the time, and neighter does the work bench. Roughly works about 20% and 40% of the time for each one
Ever since i purchased the game, I've enjoyed every step its development it has so much potential in it and what is to still come in the future. I absolutely love this game! I'll gladly wait for the full release even it it take more then ten years.
Fun bit of game. Frustrating that it crashes a bunch. There are also numerous amounts of bugs. I try to send feedback reports and surprise it crashes the game lol. Sometimes you buy things like schematic books and you go to open them and they disappear and cook pots etc. Hope they fix it because when it works its a fun little game with alot of thought put into it.
good simulator
this game was cool but when it was a concespet. but its way to lagy to play any more. im sorry to the dev but untill you optimize this game this will stay negitive.
I loved this game when it first released on UE4, but since moving to UE5 the game is no longer fun. It crashes randomly when unboxing items, moving weapons, attaching parts, there is no autosave so your progress is lost. And the developer has increased the time it takes to level and progress into fun schematics meaning that lost progress makes me not want to re-do it every time it crashes.
When the game first came out, I could play for hours with no issues, the mines worked for collecting ore, the smelter worked and the anvil actually felt like hammering, the new UE5 minigames feel lifeless and boring. Click when the bar enters the green zone is just not fun engaging gameplay, especially when half the time the green zone doesnt even register. The trees no longer show progress when cutting them down, making me second guess if i was doing anything at all until it suddenly fell over, while still showing "96%" health.
My advice, scrap the UE5 work and go back to the alpha build in UE4 and expand that. Or at least make it available for those of us who want to play more than 5 minutes at a time without a crash.
In my opinion once the dev. finishes this game it well be a top seller in indie games.
It's clear that this has either been abandoned or the devs are very slow at developing it. Too many game breaking bugs to count, especially when your ingots refuse to attach to the anvil so you can't create anything. This game needs help.
nice
I really want to love the game but I just cant. It runs poorly, the tutorial glitches out a lot, the skill point system requires you to find Muhammad and good luck with that, items disappear often, cant make a shovel because the game just wont tell you how to even though 1 of 3 customers will want one made, very little help from the game explaining anything really. In the state it is in I just cant recommend it. I played a year or so ago and tried it again today and its just not there yet. Please make this game better please it has so much potential.
no multiplayer
A Disappointing Journey Through Unfulfilled Potential
I really wanted to like this game, but unfortunately, it has been a frustrating experience. Despite glimpses of its intended charm, the overall gameplay is too problematic to overlook.
I purchased the game in 2019, hopeful about its potential. Even now, it still shows promise. However, the game feels abandoned, with no support or significant updates. Released in 2017, it remains in early access as of 2024, plagued by numerous bugs.
The game seems designed for VR, yet playing with a mouse and keyboard is cumbersome. The controls require you to click, hold, and drag items, which often results in glitches or items falling off their intended spots.
Audio issues are also prevalent, with sound levels fluctuating unexpectedly. Items frequently glitch, and core gameplay elements that should be polished by now remain unfinished.
Despite being labeled as an early access game, seven years have passed with little to show for it. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this game to anyone.
The game is fun but it crashes every few hours so save a lot.
