This game is great. I wish there was a quicksave option like mobile has. Life gets in the way and it sucks to lose progress when similar games such as story of seasons and the mobile version of this game have a quicksave option. Here's hoping it gets implemented for pc/steam deck. Thanks for all your hard work!

Played this game on and off for months, always starting a new save. I now have a perfected save, 3 more achievements to complete, but I don't like the mini-game and for joja membership, maybe i'll pick it back up again in the future. Tons of fun but it does get repetitive later if you do not care for farm aesthetics. If you liked harvest moon back in gba then you'd surely love this one!

I found this game really enjoyable, but I don’t think I’ve played enough to give a proper review just yet. I’m kind of on the fence about it.

This game is top tier level cozy. The soundtrack is AMAZING. The new updates that was done are just as good as the original content. The story line, little quirks, combat, fishing, and exploration is all leveled appropriately. The further i get into the game the more i enjoy the game which says a lot to me. There was a lot of care that went into creating this game.

Very fun sandbox farming game, even better due to its robust modding scene. I do not like recommending a game based on its mods, because I think a good game should be able to stand on its own, which stardew valley very much can, and does! But if you're thinking of buying it, it's modding scene is great.

Its so addicting I LOVE IT. Just be prepared that you will be consumed and the time will fly. You have many options to choose from. Farming, mining, building, animal care, collecting, fishing, finding love. Also this game has co-op so its absolute banger to play with your partner. Many challenges and quest to complete. Overall just awesome game.

If you haven't played Stardew Valley yet, do yourself a favor and download it now.
It is a solid game, with rich story and lore, and many game elements that allow you to make it your own. Don't care for farming, but love fishing? Play a fishing-heavy play-through. Not much on combat? Focus on other aspects of the game.
Then, in addition, this game has a deep modding community that really let's this game become yours. Not to mention the fandom community, playability with a controller, a thriving Youtube fanbase, and ongoing support from its developer, Concerned Ape.

This game has a lot of charm. Just like the Dev, I always wanted a good sequel to Harvest Moon, and this game surpasses any attempt ever made to bring that to reality. Not only that, but he's still updating and adding content after all these years. No additional DLC's either, just continually making the game even better.

We love you Concerned Ape! You give us hope for the future of gaming. Your integrity and commitment is an inspiration!

Stardew Valley is such an amazing game with so much love, character, and hard work put into it. Thank you Concerned Ape for everything you have done and continue to do for this game. You didnt have to go above and beyond the way that you did, but you did, and the effort absolutely does not go unnoticed. I know Im far from the only person whos bought Stardew on multiple platforms, and will continue to look out for and be supporting future projects (cough, Haunted Chocolatier, cough). I wish every video game developer cared for its games and its fans to the same degree. Thank you so much.

Just finished a perfection run with a good friend, this also being my first proper playthrough.
It took us an entire real life year to finish, but man, it was worth.

What a great game this is, I will for sure look into playing Stardew Valley Expanded on my own time!

Over 400 hours of fun and relax. This is the one game that you'll always return to no matter what. It's like meditation to me after all the crazy stuff happening around. Highly recommend this game. Waiting for the next update in ... years :)))

One of the most amazing and relaxing games I've ever played. Its straight up a better version of harvest moon that i was addicted to as a kid. I couldn't be happier with this game and i hope it keeps getting updated with new things.

I'm definetly not the only one who says this about this game but it is one of my favorite games ever. Made me discover farm sims and how fun they can be. Love the story, characters, songs and graphics. Always my go to game and have ALOT of hours in it but it was worth it. Definetly recommend to everyone.

If you haven't played Stardew yet, than you probably should! Such a good game with so much to discover and explore, from different seasons changing, to discovering the towns people, fishing, farming, collecting, fighting in the mines, unlocking secrets, and much more! I originally didn't want to play it at first due to pixel art graphics but I finally pushed past that and I am so glad I did as it now a game that is an absolute favorite and I own on PC and on my Nintendo switches. I have put so many hours into this game decorating my farms, and other areas of the map, exploring the mines and challenging myself to see how many levels I can get before I pass out. So much to do so little time!

Stardew Valley is an incredible game and absolutely deserves every ounce of praise that it gets. It is a modern-day classic.

That said, I offer a warning for a certain type of person. Stardew Valley is intended to be slow-paced, cozy, and quiet. There aren’t a lot of optimization options for the gameplay, deeply engaging combat, or NPCs with a sort of incredible depth. It’s a game you’re wholly intended to detach from the real world and just soak in the cozy vibes presented. If, like me, you struggle with that, you’ll find yourself frustrated as you grind through day after day for the next pay off some 4-12 in-game days away just to repeat the process again. If interacting with a small community and just tending to your farm doesn’t vibe well enough with you, it genuinely might be worth a second guess.

I don’t regret the 100 hours I’ve put into the game, but I never got past year 1 because of that itch of “there has to be a better way to do this” that I simply couldn’t shake.

If you want a game where you can sit back and relax, this is your game. I've been playing Stardew for years now, and this game keeps giving with every update, not even including mods that only make it better the more you add.

As someone who’s generally not into farm-based games with dating sim elements, like Harvest Moon or even Animal Crossing, the fact that I like Stardew Valley so much was a huge surprise to me.

On the surface, it seems like an indie version of games like Harvest Moon, where you micromanage a farm, talk to villagers, pursue a love interest, and so on. I mostly got this game because people hyped it up, and I had some online friends playing it. For some reason, unlike many others I’ve tried in this genre, this one just blew me away.

I think I can pin down a few reasons why I like this game more than other farming sims, especially as someone who loves single-player games with actual plot and goals.

The fact that the game gives you a clear goal right from the start—building up your farm well enough to impress your dying Grandpa within two in-game years—is great motivation. I’m generally not into games that don’t have some kind of end goal beyond your personal ambitions. What’s nice is that you can ignore this goal and do whatever you want, but for people like me, having an actual single-player end goal adds a lot of motivation to keep playing.

This is an indie game made with a ton of love and care, and it shows in the surprising amount of detail. The way ConcernedApe crafted each character, with their own side quests, romantic dialogue, and daily schedules, is impressive. I actually found most of the romantic interests pretty interesting. The fact that whichever player character you choose is bisexual is a huge plus—it lets people roleplay their own interests without being limited by gender-based restrictions like in Harvest Moon.

One thing that really hit for me personally was the 2D Legend of Zelda-style dungeon mode. Farming slimes, leveling up combat abilities, and collecting resources in the mines were easily the most fun parts of the “grinding” in this game. It made the game stand out from the usual farm sims.

Even the core farming elements—like chopping trees, fishing, planting crops, and taking care of your pet—were addicting and fun.

What really pushed me to fully complete the main story, though, was the co-op feature. In most farming games with multiplayer, it’s usually just a casual “visit each other’s island” thing, like in Animal Crossing. But in Stardew Valley, you and another player can fully share a farm, split the chores, and work together to complete tasks. This made the goal of finishing everything by Year Two feel way less stressful and way more fun.

For example, I focused more on monster hunting, chopping wood, and fishing, while my friend preferred farming, planting, and interacting with villagers. We worked as a team to tackle all the necessary tasks and pursue our own love interests—mine was Abigail, by the way.

Overall, I can totally see why this is one of the most popular farming simulation games out there. It feels like a true modern refinement of Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing, with a ton of options for players. It balances giving a clear single-player goal for those who want structure while also catering to players who just want to do their own thing. The addition of Zelda-style dungeon crawling, co-op, and the freedom to be bisexual all come together to make this game an absolute gem.

Dammit... I'm hooked, lol. This is fun, and I find the characters are very relatable. Also can't believe this entire game was made by one person, which is amazing. OHHH YURRRR!

This is the best game I've ever played. Stardew Valley is such a beautiful and immersive game with countless things to do. The gameplay (and music) is fun and relaxing making it the perfect game for anyone to play.

How can one not love this game? The game is relaxing and cute, easy to pick up, and even after hundreds of hours game time across platforms over the years, the game does neither loose its charm nor does it become boring. The characters are well developed and divers, and there are so many easter eggs and little treasures hidden throughout the game!

The best part about this game?
It's a really great game to play with your friends or family :) Whether your group of Millennial friends gets all nostalgic about the beauty of getting together for a good old LAN session, or you are looking for a quality game to play with your kids/parents/grandparents, give it a go!

The downside?
If you lack self-regulation skills, "just one more day" will easily become one of the most frequent lies you tell yourself. Also, I may have lost my 60+ year old mom, who does "not enjoy playing computer games" to her laptop forever (? her longest running farm is in year 23?)

Accessible enough for casual gamers to enjoy a fun and relaxed experience, yet offering depth and challenges that will captivate even the most dedicated try-hards and completionists.

I can't say enough good things about this game. It's so much fun and relaxing to just play a low stakes game that has so much depth.

I love Stardew Valley so much. It is a very good game that makes me want to keep playing more and more. It is so captivating.

I hope it can get even better, I am going to share some suggestions I have been thinking these days that could make the game more wonderful.

Something I love a lot is my happy live with my lovely husband Alex, I feel so good when I am with him and with every dialogue he say to me, so I would love more interactions with him and some updates to his in game model and story.

I will write some points around Alex that is my love but some of the suggestions can be used in general for the other characters too.

*) Alex:

- Update to his in game model to show off his athletic body, taller, bigger muscles, arms, pecs, legs, in general more detail on his muscles. I think this isn't something too difficult because the game have the muscle shirt, Alex's body should look like that but bigger and better. Also body hair, some chest hair will make his body perfect.

- Changes of clothes in each season. Alex being shirtless when he is inside the house in spring, summer and fall, specially summer. Also an option to gift him clothes that he can use, this option of gifting clothes and the character use it can be for all the others characters depending who the player marry.

- More interactive training sessions. I am a gym guy and I would love to workout with Alex, his room inside the house need to be more interactive with Alex actually using it to workout and the player to can join too, option to can use it even if Alex isn't there training. When is raining he should spend some time there training too, before getting married he trained inside his grandparents house, he should do the same when being married. When he is outside the same, that the player can join the workout session. More exercises, in the room inside the house Alex have a bench, well that he use it and the player too, taking turns to help each other for the pecs training, that we can do push ups, pull ups, biceps curls, squats, biceps with bars, jumping, jogging and any others exercises that can be added. I really want and wish for that training interaction and the option to expand the inside and outside training rooms, maybe asking Robin to work on it.

- Interactions around the town and the ginger island. With this I mean something more when we go to watch a movie like Alex buying something for the player too, holding hands, I want so much the option to hold hands while walking and standing together in any place. Options to take Alex to the spa, workout with him there, specially in winter, and to be together inside the warm water where we can talk and just be a happy married couple sharing time and relaxing together, option to give Alex a massage, option to take a shower together (We need a bathroom in the farm house btw, with the same option). Option to can go out and take a walk together too. Traveling together to the island interacting more at the beach, the player using swimsuit too, a volleyball match could be done when other characters are there or for a special festival at the island. And taking Alex to the farm house in the island. Also other characters exploring more the island.

- Allow Alex to go to the clinic check and to workout at the spa after getting married. I tried looking for him in those places at the time he should be after we got married and he isn't going anymore.

- Update to his dialogue arts, more face expressions, show more of his body, like when he is shirtless that his pecs, arms and biceps flexing can show off there. After getting married his hair style changing because he say he is going to stop using hair gel. I would love Alex to have a short style beard after getting married and some years have passed. More romantic dialogues, I love when he says he loves me. Options to answer him questions or anything he say, for example when he prepare food that I can tell him it is delicious, that I can say I love you too. The answers for gifts to be different, if the player gift him food that he answer how good it is or something related to the cooking. The special loved gifts as the salmon dinner, prismatic shard, stardrop tea, just to mention some of them, need to have unique dialogue answers, I love how he have great answers when gifting any egg, so those others gifts that are special and difficult should have personalized answers too. And maybe some surprising dialogues at night.

- Alex story (and in general for all the others characters too) need update, I feel so sad that he wasn't able to be a professional sport player, I even cry everytime he mention something about what he wanted to be. I think it can be done with the player help, it could be while being single or after getting married, my suggestion for his story is that he go certain days to the city, with the player help he don't give up, give him encouragement to keep training, then Alex join a sport team and succeeds in his career becoming a famous athlete, coming back to the town as a star. In that process he travel from the town to a lot of cities for his games, the player can join him in some special matches to can watch him play. Alex telling stories about everything he does to the player, options to make him relax and recover energy when he arrives home, with massages for example, after a few years Alex retires and no longer has to travel from the town to other cities. When he retires he does so as a famous sports star and with the help of the player we ask Robin to build a stadium in which Alex can be the coach of the town's official team. This way his dream can come true and his story has a better development. I really don't like that Alex and any of the other characters have frustrated dreams and abandon them when they get married, they should be able to fulfill them, it is something that I hope can be improved to have a great gaming experience and enjoy it even more. Because those are details that give happiness and make us want to play more and more. This open the option to make the Town bigger and famous, the improvement to all the stories of the characters can make the Town change, growing up, getting more beautiful and with more people visiting, something like what happens when the player helps with the community center. In this case to help the Town get better we have to help each character to fullfill their dreams and get them their buildings, like the stadium for Alex, the others can have a building related to their goals and dreams.

*) The player, Gameplay, Other Characters.

- Option to change body type, please. The only way I look as I want is with the muscle shirt, but it is so limited, the only I can do is change the colors, I wold like to can use other clothes and still have the muscular body, please. I also want to be shorter than Alex, I want him to be the tall one, so also a height option or just make Alex taller.

- Let the characters sit down, I feel so bad watching Alex standing in front of a table or the couch without being able to sit down. Option to watch the tv together too, if the spouse sit down in front of the tv then they turn it on and the imagen play. In general that all the characters can interact more with some things, for example Alex told me he wanted to begin reading books, I bought the bookshelf and couch, I would like to see him sit down there reading his favorite books.

- The wedding date to be a special day on the calendar, I got so sad when the anniversary arrived and nothing happened, it isn't even in the calendar, the spouse should react and mention it, an option to can have a special day together doing whatever we want too, like going to the spa, the island, the cinema, walk in the forest, mountain or town, fish together, travel in the train.

- The spouse helping more in the farm and walking around, not only staying inside the house, so we can see them walking and working in the farm.

This game is amazing like the wind inbetween my buttcheeks, it flows like water below the otter. This masterpeice is a beast, feliz navida chacha. gatcha feelin like a bunch ah salsa all up in my call ah baller feelin like a real father dont bother to fauster a whole bunch of mountsters. Got touched by linus only to find the finest bait in the whole highness got me feelin tinest bite on the rod. The wizard looked pizard when I notioned the lizard in his gizard casting a blizard on my whole Hibbard.

Close to perfection, just let me love Robin 9/10

Also people call this a cosy game but they are wrong, this game has strategy, lore, fighting, various mechanisms and so much pressure when you want to do well. So if you're adverse to cosy games, consider playing Stardew before ruling it out.

It's just the perfect game. No matter how much I play the story over and over again, I never feel bored. It always finds a way to make me feel like I'm a new player.

There is so much joy in playing and relaxing. I love the deep story lines, and just everything makes me happy. I love the game!

Very slow chill game, not for me. You have to walk to every place manually, you have to sleep very frequently, I spend 90% of the game walking back and forth.

Stardew Valley is an absolute masterpiece. its relaxing yet engaging gameplay loop, it's a game that can easily steal tens of hours. The farming, crafting, mining, and exploring are all incredibly well designed, and the sense of progression is really satisfying.

However, if there's one thing that could be improved, it's the relationships with NPCs. While giving gifts and seeing heart events is enjoyable, interactions outside of that feel a bit shallow. This is especially noticeable after marriage, where your spouse has limited dialogue and doesn't evolve much over time. It would be great to see more dynamic interactions, evolving relationships, and deeper character development in the future.

That being said, Stardew Valley remains one of the best indie games ever made, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who enjoys cozy, life-sim experiences.

A relaxing and fun game that you can play without internet on any device. That is just awesome and just think about how fast those 2-4 ours flight will pass.

Worth it worth it worth it. Trust me, it's worth it. It's been a very long time since I've poured myself into games, and Stardew brought it back!

Just not into this kind of game. love farming, mining, exploration, and quests but not the limited to time, NPCs on schedules, story/dialogue, and not open-world stuff. Did this purely to see if steam would not recommend stardew-like games to me.

Relaxing farming game, in a beautiful pixel environment.
I mean relaxing in the beginning, until you want to achieve it all. Get everything ready for the community centre in the season, to be done with it after the year and after a while grinding to get all skills to full level for later on things in the game etc.
But it is so much fun and so much to do. You can also decide what you wanna do in your pace.
And also playing with friends works incredibly fine.

You live in the busy, foggy city in an old and rusty appartment. Life is boring the h3ll out of you and the average day feels just the same as any other. Nothing special here in the big city. Nothing but screaming sirens, yelling people, big crowds and polluting gasses of vehicles.

Then, you get an email. Your grandfather died and you inherited this old farm of his. You move to a town called Stardew Valley and it feels like you traveled time and was put into before the industrial revolution. Everything seems simple, people are on a slow-pace. Yet there are some annoyances like that-one Joja Market. You meet very hot people, like Sebastian and Maru, also some annoying ones like the elderly, but it doesn't feel as crowded as the city.

You make your DREAM life on the farm, get some animals and spend ours watering your still tiny a$$ land. Soon, you will discover secrets of other lands and you go deep below the surface of the mines. Every day is different and you deffo need to have the spirits on your side or else ur f-ed.

Embark on your farming journey, you won't be disappointed. I will never ever return.
