Every pattern has its own rhythm to it. It can get difficult. This game is purely based on rhythm, so use your ears more than your sight.
Note that it is quite strict and unforgiving. If you've played the Rhythm Heaven series - this is about as strict as that.

Simple gameplay, just tap!
This game starts with 1 button, as you progress, you needed more, so you start using 2 buttons.
Was 2 enough? No.
Community made levels often need 3 or 4, heck, some even 6 or 8 for the insane BPMs, and I kid you not, there's a player who uses 10 fingers + foot switch.
Ever since I've found out of ADOFAI I've been wanting to get it, and once I got it, I was very glad that I didn't get disappointed in any of my spectations for this game. It has a variety of official levels that help you practice your skill and get even better at the game, as well as a wide collection of community-made levels to spice up your experience even more. Sure, you can play very hard levels without any experience (my case, haha), but what's the fun in not doing so? Definitely would recommend playing ADOFAI to anyone who is a fan of rhythm games and wants an experience worth trying that will keep them entertained.

This game has changed my life. Ever since I have started this game, my wife has left me and my parents have disowned me. Sometimes I think about them... but after a minute I come back and spend more of my time on ADOFAI. My entire life is ADOFAI. I lost my job because of lack of attending, and I am on the verge of homelessness. But at least I will always have ADOFAI with me.

Very fun if you are good at rhythms. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IF YOU ARE BAD AT RHYTHM GAMES. This games community is mostly filled with actual musicians so I see a lot of sheet music explainations of rhythms and stuff like that. Very fun main 12 levels, especially Butterfly Planet. Clicking on the tiles is sooo satisfying, level creator is easy and fun too. Easy to learn.
Loved this game since it was a game jam submission and it only had 3 levels. Something about the mechanics of this game just feels good to me, and it is one of my favorites. I really like the song selection and featured levels they put in here, all the brilliant art in all the levels, and the Neo Cosmos DLC was absolutely brilliant. I highly recommend getting the DLC if you've invested a decent chunk of time into the game, but be wary as it is not easy.
Great game for those who need to kill their old keyboard to have an excuse to buy a new, nicer one. All jokes aside I love this game
At first, the game was playable, with me slowly getting better at the game. And then the game somehow desynched itself. Now I can barely play the game. If I go to the first level, I can click late on every single beat and it says I'm perfect. If I click on time it says I'm early. I can't play this game now.
this is the most zero effort rhythm game. you press a button. anyone can do it. I'm not saying it's super easy, I'm saying anybody could play it with no prior knowledge.

Quite a fun game, one of the most unique rhythm games I've ever played, because unlike most where a note flies across the screen and you hit it at the right time, this one you have to time based on when the circles hit the stage. Also one of the hardest rhythm games I've played. The dlc is also quite good, although can get a bit annoying, with certain parts requiring perfection to unlock new levels. All the music is really good, and the mechanics almost never get boring, cause they are always introducing new stuff.

played it for awhile now, might be a bit difficult for people who aren't used to rythem games, but once you start its always fun to come back too. and there's plenty of content to explore through the steam workshop, its actually quite nice if as if you look in the right places you can find levels that are on par with your skill level rather you have beaten the main game or not.
simple visuals that can be expanded upon (some user made levels are frankly insane in the visual department). simple but fun game-play.
deff recommend, but i do not recommend to deaf people -_-
7.5/10. Great game but i think the devs are color blind, fire is orange and ice is light blue yet it is red and blue for the balls you play as, either change the color of the balls or change the name of the game to A Dance Of Lava And Water (ADOLAW). If this were to happen i would give 10/10.
Though the core concept is fun by itself - the community content is the cherry on top. Awesome stuff!

i love this game so much, that includes party of spirits speed trial is not bullshit, i love that level so much and i love the part at 49%.

A very straightforward and yet nuanced rhythm game that always finds new ways to utilize its mechanics in interesting ways!
This game is very, very fun, if a bit infuriating at some moments, and time-sucking, but then again that's part of the fun imo.

Amazing innovation of the rythm game genre. The gameplay is difficult to describe, it is like a one note Taiko, but peak.
I love this game! It's challenging enough to where you don't grow tired of it and the endless amounts of custom songs is great! It can go from the easiest thing ever to so hard even god couldn't beat it. It's super satisfying whenever you complete a level or get through a section with all perfects!

Easy to pick up, and my brain really likes the shape-to-rhythm correlation. It's very simple but very fun, though like simple shapes are, it can easily get complicated :3 Not to mention music is banger and level design is amazing.

Most of the levels arent really connected to the rhythm, being fully dependent in visual cues.
That makes the gameplay just annoying at times.

I haven't enjoyed another rhythm game for a very long time now. A dance of fire and ice is exquisite gameplay-wise and It really makes you sorta "FEEL" the music when you play it. I can't recommend it enough, although be careful because this game can really make you loose fingers (multiple times). A solid 9/10
One of the best rhythm games out there definitely recommend if you like these types of games also the community also makes really goods maps love them for that.

I recommend a dance of fire and ice or adofai for short to the people who like rythem games it is fun its a challenge there are so many levels and creator made levels so there's always something to do in this game
Very nice rhythm game with a good series of base levels (with good tutorial !) and also bonus worlds. The base mechanic works great though I wish more custom levels used the dual-tap mechanic found in Fear Grows though /:
Of course the catalogue of custom levels is immense and it's always fun to try a slightly harder level to slowly get better and complete harder levels !

Amazing graphics and easy to learn mechanics, if you are looking for an rhythm game to play when bored - This is the one, it also has amazing songs and rhythm.

Fire never touched the Ice so it never melted. But they stayed on beat. This game influenced me to get into mechanical keyboards.
