this game i so bad i payed 50 quid for the game for it just to say that i cant play online and i cant even sign up to play online it doesnt give me an option so how am i suppose to sign up to thus stupid game

only buy this game especially on sale and if you love the unreal engine's graphics, the gameplay is so wacky and bad there's no balancing and i love it and hate it at the same way, in graphics wise its good considering this is a 2019 game but goddamn the only problem is the gameplay.

Been playing this franchise for a long time, since the first mortal kombat game. For me the game is almost unplayable for the following reasons: - the graphics are too loaded and look too faded, you feel like the fighters blend in with the background, which is retardeded.
- the combo and special moves look unnecessarily fast, its like you are playing some dragon ball game or some anime stuff. On the other side, some moves like jumping forward or blocking feel really slow? legitness.
- a lot of signiture moves from some characters are removed, e.g. sub zero's ice clone, how can you make a mk game without that?
- Due to the variation stuff, characters have way less combos and special moves compared to mk9 which is best in the whole franchise.
- MAIN REASON: you can't play locally on the same keyboard OR with two keyboards. Absolutely retarded. At least i didnt spend much on this trash game.
Wanted to get the new mk1 as well but it looks like it follows the mk11 pattern + the paywalls dlc crap.
I do not recommend it. Game is GEH.

The best mortal kombat game. Way better than mortal 1 kombat. There is so much content here hence the hundreds of hours I have put in and I don't even play online. Good story, fun singleplayer modes, great gameplay, and amazing customization which is my favorite thing about this game.

Buy this if and only if:

- You have a dedicated friend group to play with
- All your friends are on the same version of windows as you.

As of right now, the online mode is completely broken. It is impossible to complete a single match, whether casual or not.

What is especially frustrating is that it seems like a minor issue to fix, games start normally and the frame-rate is good, but you are on a ticking clock that will desync the game at any time.

The cynic in me thinks it's likely a scummy tactic to force you to purchase MK1, which is an objectively worse game.

I want to say that this is a good game, and but for a few serious design flaws, it is. The design flaw that brought me here for this angry review is the way it interacts with the servers. It's one of those "always online even when you are playing single-player" games.

I spent some time on one of the more difficult towers. After some frustrating battles, I made it to the top. I was ONE HIT away from winning the last fight of the tower when the game hangs, then informs me that I was disconnected from the server, at which point I get booted from the fight, RIGHT BEFORE WINNING.

If that's not bad enough, when I said "sigh, OK, I'll just win that fight again," I went to go back and it made me START AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TOWER!!

Seriously?! You are going to boot people mid-fight because of some stupid server error IN A SINGLE PLAYER MODE, and then make them start all over?!

That is some BULLSHIT!

I was having fun until that point. After that, I quit. I don't think I'll ever play this game again.

This game is mediocre and worse than MkX, The online doesn't work at all and the only thing carrying this game is the graphics and well done animations/fights. BUY MkX INSTEAD even the story is a downgrade from X. Other than those large issues its a good fighting game, ONLY BUY ON SALE!!!! for $5 its 7/10

I played it just for the story and to see some of the collectibles. Not a big fan of this kind of genre, but for some hours of story cinematics and good fighting mechanics, it is good. Just that. I won't put any more hours than this.

The randomization of Krypt rewards and the odd issue with the game's always-online nature can occasionally chip away at your patience, but Mortal Kombat 11 absolutely hits where it matters.

Online is completely broken, as in you can't get a match at all that won't be disconnected mid-match. It's a great game in every other way. But I cannot recommend it until online matches are stable again.

mc1 I did not like it, environment -platform-choices-charters looks- fatality, not close to mc11.
I tried to like mc1 but I could not, just because graphic better and start fresh doesn't mean mc1 better then mc11.

Definitely one of the more "unique" in the series. It's FUN, but I don't recommend it for the competitive aspect. If you plan to play it with a friend in a more relaxed environment, then yeah, you will have fun

Honestly, I am not a fan of fighting games but I do enjoy them. The story is good and I'd definitely get a copy of MK XL and MK 1, This is what you can expect from a MK game: Violence, gore, blood, bones cracking like snacks, lungs and heart squeezed like sponge of fruit juice, brutality and FATALITY!!!

If you happen to buy this game, just..........FINISH HIM!

I would absolutely not recommend this game for online play.
It has a really good single player story, but its very far from a good game.
Since the launch of MK1 every single online session I have on MK11 is desyncronized and I don't understand why.
Unfortunately you can no longer rank up with this issue. Every session is a gamble if it's going to be desyncronized or not.
I get 1 full game every 7-8 games I play.

Mortal Kombat is my top fighting game, and NetherRealm delivered again with Mortal Kombat 11. I mostly enjoyed local multiplayer with friends, but the constant issues with connecting two controllers, or even one controller and a keyboard, were incredibly frustrating and often forced us to give up. However, when it did work, the experience was a delight. The graphics were smooth and beautiful, and the gameplay, enhanced by fatalities, brutalities, and X-rays, made it a blast every time my friends came over. I finished the story mode in one go and loved every cutscene, although some fights proved quite challenging. The final boss fight almost made me quit, but I eventually secured a win after many attempts. Overall, the game is fun and visually stunning, and I'd recommend it to any fighting game enthusiast or long-time Mortal Kombat fan and even people new to this genre. Despite its strengths, the persistent failure to play local multiplayer with friends is a significant drawback for how I typically enjoy these kinds of games.

Highly recommended, there is no X-ray like before, but it retains the bloody and technical characteristics of the old MK games

The game overall is pretty good, all the customisations and the story are good, but online is an apsolute trash. Getting kicked out because the game was "desyncronised" and getting level 60 players that apsolutely bag me

-It's been many years since I've played MK... (Well over a decade.) In between the time I have played and now, I gave birth to my son whom I named "Raiden" after the series. 9 years later, here we are playing his character together, and because of that, I think it's really cool for him to experience the inspiration for his name!
-I've played halfway through the story, and I'm loving the scenes and the graphics, however it feels more like a movie to me than anything. From the ads I've seen, I had thought that they incorporated somewhat of an open-world feel into the MK realm, but the only thing in this game that is remotely close to "open world" would be the Krypt- where you run around and use your koins to open chests. So I was a bit let down there, but the fighting is a lot of fun, as I always remember it.
-On the keyboard, it's pretty difficult to master- (use a controller like the good ole days, it helps a lot!) as the attacks have to be PERFECTLY timed. The tutorials are a bit weird, very helpful and even shows the Xbox controller/which buttons on the keyboard correspond to the controller, however, I still find it pretty difficult and I'm pretty skilled with keyboards. My husband said the same thing. During the tutorials I am executing the controls properly, but it seems as if the game is not registering them. I don't need the tutorials, but I do want the achievements. That's really the only downside.
-You don't need to be a MK fan to play, but if you're looking for a little bit of upgraded nostalgia, buy it! Would I buy this game full price? Absolutely not. On sale for five dollars? Heck yeah.
-All in all, decent game, ONLY movie scenes and fighting scenes; nothing more, so don't expect much (if you are not familiar with the series...)
-P.s. you can control difficulty levels too, don't be afraid!

First fighting game, definitely not easy, took me like many many hours testing and trying, but if you arent afraid of tirelessly truing, and u like gore,. this can be for you! But im playing in keyboard and its quite hard so, keep in mind.

Very intense and immersive 2D fighting game MK is the best 2D fighter game you can buy or even if you want a good story MK has got it.
Would def reccomend this game to whoever is into fighting games.

The game itself is quite good. While there is probably too much gear (and frankly 2 gear slots would be preferable between 3 and the 1 slot of MK1), I enjoy having a game to grind for what is essentially grinding's sake. The customization is probably going to be a make or break for the game, as aside from that there is a pretty subpar story and expansion, and a completely dysfunctional online from what I hear. Regardless, the game itself is fun from a fighting standpoint. It builds off of variations and amplifications in interesting ways and alters the meter system in a way that, while worse than before, had some merit to it if it had some number tweaks. Finally, the fatalities are the best in the Netherealm games, if not the whole series, likely helped by the fact that the games style is my favorite looking overall. All in all, MK11 is a very good game if you want to stretch your money as far as possible. If I recall correctly, the ultimate edition was on sale for a few bucks during a sale a year or so ago, and I would imagine it goes for as much pretty frequently. If you can get it for relatively cheap, I would, as you'll not go hungry for content.

love it, just a few flaws in online, is the matchmaking. half the time the online matches desynchronize, and the matchmaking IS UNFAIR I get match ups against GMS and I JUST GOT TO CHAMPION
