I never diagnosed myself that I would have an internal organ damage, but this game might confirmed me that I have brain aneurysm
I played MK11 first before this one so obviously it feels like a downgrade to me but to have the character intros, krushing blows and the crypt all locked at 30 fps really took me by surprise and disappointed me, it's not game breaking but it's very noticeable I get it's a 10 year old game but it's no excuse, The color palette is not great either everything looks dark and brown and the characters blend in the stages like chameleons it's distracting a bit, the good thing is the actual combat is smooth and fast and the roster is great the story is decent too so for the price this game is nowadays it's worth getting just don't expect the masterpiece some of the fanboys are claiming this game to be.
if you wanna play a mortal kombat 1 but has a potato pc...this game is best option for you....!!
the graphic is okeyyy
By far the best Mortal Kombat game, the dark and gritty artstyle is fricking awesome, altough Johnny Cage and Sonya look very strange with the new style, but with the XL version you get Jason Voorhees, Leatherface, The goddamn Xenomorph and the motherfuckin predator worth the 8 euro.
the story mode is short but its fun with friends
(had it on ps4) DUDE I am SO use to 30 fps and choppy frames but its now smooth and better graphics I LOVE IT 100000000000000/10
I absolutely love Mortal Kombat X! The gameplay, graphics, and story all blend together into an epic and seamless experience. My favorite character is Tremor—I just wish he had been included in the DLCs for the other Mortal Kombat games.
for me the best mortal kombat game of all time. The fast movements, mechanics, characters its so exiting and the game never gets boring
I remember downloading this for a week straight on our old family computer. It ran but it was never smooth. I was highly disappointed so I just got the PS4 version. Still, this game introduced me to Mortal Kombat and is probably my favorite fighting game of all time now.
Out of all the NetherRealm Mortal Kombat games, this one has the best combat out of the lot. Combat is so smooth and fast paced, not slow and janky like Mk11. The new running mechanic for extending combos was something completely alien to me in fighting games but I eventually got the hang of it. Every character has potential and is a joy to master even the ones that aren't really appealing to me. Felt super refreshing coming back to this masterpiece. MK9 was great but the movement just felt really awkward and stiff, MK11 was a decent game but the combos have been watered down and you don't get that same satisfaction when playing and MK1 is straight dogshite.
This and Deception are my favourite games in the series. A franchise that has been dear to me since my childhood. Really hope we'll see another MK game just as, if not better in the years to come.
Great fighting game and I especially liked the story mode. Good fun.
My review of Mortal Kombat X
Mortal Kombat X is an intense and visually stunning addition to the legendary fighting franchise, offering everything fans love about the series — brutal combat, jaw-dropping fatalities, and a rich roster of iconic characters. Developed by NetherRealm Studios, this entry pushes the franchise into new territory with fresh mechanics, a gripping story, and an expanded multiplayer experience.
Pros:
Brutal Combat: MKX delivers fast-paced, visceral combat that feels incredibly satisfying. Whether you’re pulling off devastating combos or performing gruesome fatalities, the fighting mechanics are deep and rewarding.
Character Variations: Each fighter has three unique variations, giving you plenty of ways to customize your playstyle. This system adds depth and keeps gameplay feeling fresh and dynamic.
Stunning Visuals: The game looks gorgeous. Detailed character models, fluid animations, and atmospheric arenas make every fight an immersive experience. The gruesome X-Ray moves are still as satisfying as ever.
Solid Roster: MKX brings back classic characters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Raiden, along with a handful of exciting newcomers like D’Vorah, Kotal Kahn, and Cassie Cage. Each fighter feels distinct, and there’s something for every playstyle.
Story Mode: The campaign continues the narrative from Mortal Kombat 9 and introduces the next generation of fighters. It’s a fun, action-packed journey with solid character development and memorable moments.
Robust Online Features: MKX’s online multiplayer modes include ranked matches, King of the Hill, and a challenging tower system. The netcode is reliable, ensuring mostly smooth matches, though occasional lag can be a minor issue.
Tons of Unlockables: From alternate costumes to brutalities, MKX rewards players with a ton of unlockable content, encouraging you to keep playing and improving.
Cons:
Occasional Online Issues: While the online experience is generally smooth, there are times when lag or connection drops can affect gameplay.
Gruesome Violence Isn’t for Everyone: MKX is unapologetically violent and gory. If you’re not a fan of over-the-top brutality, this might not be your cup of tea.
Story Mode Length: While fun, the story mode can feel a little short and predictable at times.
Final Thoughts:
Mortal Kombat X is a must-have for fans of the series and fighting game enthusiasts. With its brutal combat, diverse character roster, and a mix of new and classic gameplay features, it’s a thrilling experience from start to finish. Whether you’re playing solo or battling online, MKX delivers nonstop action.
If you're looking for a fighting game with depth, gore, and a bit of nostalgia, Mortal Kombat X absolutely delivers. Highly recommended!
Rating: ★★★★★ 9/10 – A brutal, gorgeous, and action-packed fighter that keeps Mortal Kombat at the top of its game.

I have not played this game in years, but I often think about it, like a childhood memory, I remember watching my brother play this game and he would let me play when he didnt or we would play together, and this game still has that charm and unique environment that modern mk games cant grasp, it also has probably the greatest roster of characters, with horror themes, og, and new comers like aaron black and the kombat kids. MKX was the best game ten years ago when I was younger, and it still is now, it might be nostalgia talking, but the modern mortal kombat just dont hit as hard as this one
The best Mortal Kombat game. It isn't even close.
X/10
I loved MK11 and MK1 so I came back in time to see the prequel story and good lord do I regret it. I almost went Mortal Kombat on my monitor more than once. The longest 7 hours of my life. Straight up the worst MK I've personally played. Absolutely infuriating combat. The bots just feel like youre playing against a 14 year old rage baiter online spamming one move over and over. It feels like after you win the first round the bot just goes ultra instinct and infi-juggle combos you into oblivion to ensure a round 3. It's so fast and floaty and aracde feeling - nothing has weight or feels what you would call "good".
The meta game outside of battles is empty. Both 11 and 1 have interesting game modes, crypts to explore, alternate tower endings for each character. In other words there is much more to them than just story and online matches. I couldn't uninstall this fast enough after the final credits rolled. I need to reinstall 11 now just to get this experience out of my mind.
This game is absolutely amazing, down to the last thing. The combos, everything about it is soo clean and new to me, and in my opinion the skill gap for each game gets higher the older the game. WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY HILLARIOUS 🤣🤣
Anyway this game is a must get if you are currently bored of the new fighting games and want to get a feel of the vintage era or 2015, warned, the skill gap is the highest, thats why I love it. (I own in this order: MK11, MK1, and now MKXL)
New title sucks, bought this mainly for the nostalgia purpose, I grew up with mortal kombat. This game is SO much better than that overpriced slop they call MK1
Helps me blow off steam and take out my anger on fictional characters instead of my coworkers. 10/10
best suited game for those who want brutality expericences in combats
this game is by far THE BEST MK game i have ever played very underrated collabed with some of my favorite horror franchises one of my favorite games and for a low price
Really, really fun.
Great amount of characters, awesome story mode, very entertaining.
Definitely recommend checking this game out.
Mortal Kombat X was the game that really got me into the franchise. It was probably the first MK game I played aside from the arcade. Getting to play it on the steam deck was a lot of fun.
The kombat in X is super satisfying; very smooth and I got a better feel for combos than I had in the past. It felt easy to pick up again. The story is decent and the stages are pretty good too. And looking back at it, the character designs are pretty awesome––they don't feel too 'new', but don't feel stuck in the past either. I would have appreciated a better costume selection (and also a costume selection for every character would have been nice). On the topic of characters, the roster is pretty great. Though it's missing some of my favorite characters from the series, the overall variety it offers is pretty awesome.
It was 10 years, but this still playable and a good game :)
The finishes and combos are amazing. The game play is still awesome and engaging by comparison even though there's a new title.
Definetly a good fighter, not meant for those with weak stomachs
Mortal Kombat X (2015) brought a fresh yet brutal take on the iconic fighting game franchise, mixing classic gameplay with new mechanics, characters, and visuals. Here are the key elements often highlighted in reviews:
Graphics and Presentation: One of the most striking improvements in Mortal Kombat X is its graphics. The game features incredibly detailed character models, stunning animations, and smooth transitions between moves and combos. The environments are beautifully designed, with interactive backgrounds and vivid effects that make every fight feel dynamic and intense.
Combat System: The core of Mortal Kombat X's success is its refined combat system. The game introduces new mechanics, such as the "Variations" system, which gives each character multiple playstyles, offering players more customization and strategic depth. The fighting feels fast, fluid, and as brutal as ever, with the series' signature over-the-top Fatalities, Brutalities, and X-Ray moves.
Roster of Characters: The game features a large and diverse roster of fighters, including classic characters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Raiden, alongside new additions like Kotal Kahn, Ferra/Torr, and D'Vorah. Each fighter has their own unique moves, and the variety of styles ensures that there's something for every type of player, whether you prefer close-range brawling, zoning, or mix-ups.
Story Mode: Mortal Kombat X features an engaging and cinematic story mode that continues the saga from Mortal Kombat 9. The narrative is exciting and well-paced, focusing on the next generation of fighters while still paying homage to the veterans. The story introduces new characters and deepens the lore of the Mortal Kombat universe, making it a more immersive experience.
Online Play and Multiplayer: The game introduced a robust online mode with ranked matches, player matches, and tournaments, ensuring that competitive players have plenty of opportunities to test their skills. While the online experience can be hit-or-miss due to occasional connectivity issues, the gameplay itself remains engaging and enjoyable.
Brutality and Fatalities: As with every Mortal Kombat game, the finishing moves in MKX are brutal and iconic. Fatalities have never been more satisfying, with new and innovative executions that capture the series’ trademark violence. In addition to Fatalities, the inclusion of Brutalities (instant, combo-based finishers) adds an extra layer of fun and creativity to the gameplay.
Overall Appeal: Mortal Kombat X successfully balances being accessible to newcomers while offering enough depth for veteran players. The addition of new mechanics and characters gives it a fresh feel, while the classic elements ensure that long-time fans feel right at home. The game is fast-paced, filled with violence, and offers a variety of modes to keep players entertained.
In conclusion, Mortal Kombat X is a brutal, beautiful, and highly refined entry in the franchise. It combines the best of what Mortal Kombat is known for—ferocious combat, a rich roster, and gory finishers—with new features that elevate the experience. Whether you're a casual player or a competitive fighter, Mortal Kombat X delivers on all fronts
i like it a lot mortal kombat is one of my favert gamrs if only it had steam work shop
Probably the best Mortal Kombat, combat is fluid and cinematic
Hard to believe once upon a time, this was the "modern" Mortal Kombat game. Man, i feel old.
a great game with fun combos, and fun gameplay.
I love so much Mortal Kombat if i could i will married with this game
yeah it works well with my Steam Deck as soon as I saw it on sell I have to buy it even though I have the PS4 hard copy but being able to play it on the go on the Steam Deck is awesome but I have MK11 on PS5 but I still love X the most only issues is that factions they are not working anymore and story mode sound gets bad on the Steam Deck it might be my micro SD card.. Still love the graphics of this game more than the newer version.
Mortal Kombat best fighter franchise hands down
Button Mashing & Nostalgia
Fighting Controls:
Coming from Tekken, where combos have 10-12 hit patterns, Mortal Kombat X feels a bit… janky. I’m basically mashing two buttons together and hoping for the best. It works, but it doesn’t feel as fluid as I’d like. That said, MKX does get one thing right—combo breakers. Unlike Tekken, where getting launched means watching your health bar evaporate, here you can actually fight back mid-air. Big win.
Gameplay:
Aside from the story mode, the gameplay isn’t really my type. Don’t get me wrong, I played Mortal Kombat back on PS2 and PSP, but it’s been over a decade. The simplified controls throw me off, but at least the brutal X-ray moves and Fatalities still hit just as hard.
Characters:
As an old-school player, the new generation of fighters feels a bit off. They just don’t have the same vibe as their legendary ancestors. Still, it’s nice to see and play as classic characters outside of story mode—just wish there were more options for them.
Price & Value:
Picked this up in a bundle with MK11, so the deal was solid. Would I recommend buying at full price? Not really—unless you’re itching to jump in right away. Otherwise, wait for a sale and get the best bang for your buck.
I find mortal kombat so fun and the more you play the more the combos and controls become muscle memory to you. I really enjoy playing mileena, erron black and kenshi but im excited to try learn more characters. I have mainly just played the 1v1 fights with my friend and it can get competitive but we still have a good laugh trying to win against eachother.
This is the first mortal kombat game I've bought as it was the cheapest I know it is older but I still think it is worth playing though I can't compare to the other games as I haven't played them but in this game they have a decent range of characters, I love that you can customise your banner and the storymode the little I have played of it is like watching a movie, it has some long cutscenes and then you eventually do 1v1 fights and it helps improve your fighting skills.
I would definitely recommend this game I think it is quite enjoyable and funny to play, I love the character ult animations and finishers they're so brutal and creative. The only downside is in the 1v1 fights maybe its because the game is old but it can become laggy at times , the frames drop and the fighting ends up becoming slow for abit which happens to both players.
the artsyle, choreography and action are all peak. 10/10 game, it carried my old teen ps4 days
Chs di ae hay vcl. Prime MKX do hoa dep, nhe, variation balance. Moi toi kitana phan nay qua xau!!!
Very fun and action-packed, even better if you have someone else to play with you
Good fighting system and nice gore
This game is so boring, you do the entire game the same, clicking your controller or keybord the entire time to punch some morons. Well well well, no recommendation by me.
3/10 Points.
very nice graphic and fatality
straight-up brutal in the best way. kameo roster is good, with adequate powercreep, and the gore is as over-the-top as i’d hope. the characters got a good mix of classics and fresh faces, so there’s something for everyone.
story mode’s alright—nothing mind-blowing, but it does the job. the real fun’s in multiplayer, though it can get sweaty real fast. overall, it’s a bloody good time, and if you’re into the previous installments, it’s worth your while. 7/10
Decent entry in the MK series. Not the best, but not the worst either. Has decent replay value. Would recommend purchasing if it's on sale only. I feel like Street Fighter and Killer Instinct have had better newer entries in my opinion. But, still a decent game. Been playing since the MK2 days in the Arcade, does a decent job furthering the lore.
I played this for 24 hours as you can see, an entire day, it is THAT good, its way better then any of the other mortal kombat games, as it not only has the best guest characters, which include
-Predator
-Jason
-LeatherFace
-Alien
Not only that, but there are free skins, and all dlc characters come with their fataliltys and brutaliltys unlocked unsure about brutaltily but whatever,
Its CHEAPER then most other games, and has god tier skins, Want to main a character and have their second finisher? search on youtube for it, especially if its in the krypt, get enough koins, and you search the video up, then, just look at what area they went to and the cordinates.
NOTE: I got this game for 6.99$ on sale, with the DLC included.
MKX is an absolutely AMAZING game. the story is kinda mid imo except for the ending with raiden(which is amazing) but the gameplay is GREAT. the variations are pretty interesting and i like how fast paced everything is. would be pretty cool if they made rain and baraka playable but aside from that this is a great game overall.
10/10 game buy with DLCs if its on sale worth the price
A Fun Educational Game For learning more about the inner workings of the Human Body and Skeletal system
It's damn good, the mechanics of this game is ridiculously fast and smooth, including their varieties of character and their other mechanics of kombat. I recommend for you to buy this.
