The story mode of the game is the reason I bought it because I haven't played it in many years and wanted another go at it, super fun and engaging story, 8/10. The online servers are still active after many years which is great, however there are mostly only people who are veterans of the game on there so definitely not the best place to practice (I learned that the hard way). Overall very enjoyable.

fast-paced game that demands skill and doesn't rely on the passive "back to block" mechanic so beloved in most fighting games. You're forced to guess between lows, overheads, and throws. Some people claim the game relies too much on 50/50s, but the truth is, most fighting games do (Tekken included). The difference is that MKX gives you various ways to defend yourself, such as map interactables, combo breakers, and hyper armor moves like Sub-Zero's slide. So if you can't avoid it, boy you have some improving to do. MKX's combo scaling is pretty fair, because by the time you've reached 30%, you'll be struggling to do damage (unless you're using Jason, any of his variant is nuts, too strong even for a paid DLC). Overall this game is a masterpiece, one of the best fighting games ever created 9.9/10 (0.1 for making jason so busted LOL)

The dark atmosphere and brutal cold fatalities on here is why i gained obsession and love over Mortal Kombat X, this will always be part of my top favourite games.

very skilled game with a lot of different combos for each charachter also very fun especially when i start beating my friends asses when they only know spaming one button and i win on skill with different skills and atacks and ofc with different charachters cause its tooo op for my to play my main johny cage.The example of me beating ass my friend on skill is 5t4t3br1g4_ cause she cries every time and thats the reason why she has only 20 hr in this game cause she uninstall it after being sooooo bad

This is my FAVORITE mortal combat game MKX is just the best. Scorpion in his prime, all characters with reasonable combos and no unbreakable combos or corner locking. Genuinely some of the best fatalities and brutalities.

I think that Mortal Kombat had its peak on MK11 but and thats a big but i liked this one AND enjoyed it so much more than i did MK11 and mind you i played this one mostly solo and MK11 both solo and with friends so that MUST mean something, at least for me MKX is better than MK11

as my first MK game this one turned out to be quite a fun fighting game, Although online is dead and nobody plays this game anymore. I did enjoyed the Campaign/Story, even though I was lost and didn't understand the lore. Solid 7/10 BUY ON SALE IMO

When Mortal Kombat rebooted in 2011, it reinvented the entire series. This is the sequel for that and it is awesome.

It might be the first fighting game that i took seriously and try to actual play the combos, its solid fighting game for its ages, the combat are fast and the combo look good on some character, but if you try to play all character you realize most of them are deal so little damage and have less versatile movement. Its suck to think there unbalance in moveset, the story is alright i guess. I never play MK before but i can figure out the context just from main story, its not really hard considering its just modern world vs ancient fantasy world, which is dumb when you think about it, this fantasy world called "outworld" are dominant world who have been conquer many worlds, yet they still lives in tribes and dont have techonology whatsover for over thousands many years they still dont have electricity.

mkx is the best mk, but sadly many players has changing to mk11 or mk1. i'd hope they'll come back to this og

This is the best Mortal Kombat game. Its absolutely fun and definitely not the hardest to learn. Nothing to dislike.

I like MK X better than MK 11 simply because the changed the look of my favorite characters and some of the voice actresses weren't brought back for 11. Still a fun game even though it's old.

PEAK MK WITH PEAK FIGHTING!

1) MKX has far better gameplay than MK1 and even MK11 in my opinion.I really missed the fast paced kombat style. RATING (100/10)
2) The story was ok but main problem is that the entire story is kinda short :( RATING (8.7/10)
3) The characters and their drip in the entire roster is perfect including dlc characters. RATING (10/10)
4) If you want to play this game online with different players around the world then DON'T buy this but still I know that any of u guys watching this review knows that this game is DEAD :(

BONUS TIP : If you want to seriously enjoy this game then you should learn how to do kombos instead of button mashing, otherwise you will know that u won the fight but you can't get the satisfaction of beating your opponent's butt by your own commands.

MKX is the better MK11

The Kombat is fluid and meshes well with the kombo system

All of the characters feel fantastic to play, even some of the ones I don't like, like Kotal Khan or Xenomorph.

The single player options are weaker though, even compared to a game like MK1

Super-addictive combat is a hallmark of this franchise. The graphics and combat scenarios are excellent, especially towards the end of the story mode.
The combat is very well done, which motivates you to keep playing and exploring this wonderful game.

Trying out MK1 and not liking it much made me want to revisit this game. Safe to say this is still the best Mortal Kombat to date. Incredible game that just makes me happier whenever I play.

Mortal Kombat's brutal fighting style, continuing the story of how the invasion from the hell dimension. Iconic characters like Liu Kang and Kung Lao are not used in the main storyline.

The game won't even launch & MK11's online gaming crashes almost every match. Will never purchase another MK game until they fix the ones I've already spent money on.

Personally, THE best MK game since after MK9, doesn't even compare to newer ones both terms of gameplay and character design. Flawless.

Game is very good, the gameplay is good, online mode is where its at, the story is good, characters are good especially the guest characters they are so cool, get this game if you can because its worth it.

This game is a steal if you can wait and get it on the 80% off sales it occasionally has. Some of the best Kombat in the series and love the variety with choosing from the styles you want for each fighter. Feels a lot quicker and more responsive than the newer titles with graphics that are surprisingly good for being a decade old.

Got this game for 7 dollars canadian, knowing it'd be good. Did not dissapoint. I have a low budget laptop, so though a bit laggy, this game had great graphics options.

Rekommend for anyone who like good old fighting games. The story was interesting with lots of kool characters, although it is a little over the top to keep fighting with the same character in the story mode. It is a continuation from the previous games. There are many new characters added to give us a wider range of options. Lots of mini games such as test your might (a thumb killer) . It can be a bit of a slugfest to earn enough koins to unlock all the skins, fatality and brutality. DLCs recommend for anyone who can't be bothered. The price is really low for such a high quality game. Rekommend when on sales.

P.s. Warning: it takes up a lot of space, so may not be suitable for anyone with limited space.

Top 5 best fighting games of all time, very fast phased and hard to master, yet insanely fun and rewarding. Moreover, each character has 3 variations, each one completly unique from one another so you´ll have A LOT of characters to try and mess around with. Peak.

Great game, but Faction Wars is dead. Keep getting error connecting to server. 1st 2 hours I've played this game Invasion was working, lately it won't anymore. Tragic.

Minus the Faction Wars, the game is great. Had more fun playing this than MK9.

uhhh I played this for like...300 hours in PS4 . I dont know how i feel about the Steam version .. I love this game for the combo system , it feels really good to execute... but the game itself on steam doesnt seem to work even....80% as well as it did on that console
