following the plot is optional, really cool graphics, shoot demons like it's going out of style, fun stuff all around
got this on sale, absurdly good value, very high quality game, well optimised and looks great
enjoy (most) of the doom games and this is a solid entry
I can't believe i play this game and enjoy it just because Bfg Divison randomly play on my spotify for the first time while i study (i ended hear all doom music for 2 hours and forgot to study)
a legendary story, a legendary game, a legendary comunity.
Игра должна быть разика так в два короче, ибо пять часов такого геймплея и саундтрека ощущаются бодро и весело, но дальше уже просто заёбывают своей репетативностью
Great
The game looks incredible, and is incredibly fun
SSG and gauss cannon feel way too strong, but are both fun to use, so I dont care
Combat feels like having a brick tied to my waist having played it after Eternal tho
The level design feels way closer to the origins of the series
amazing graphics/game play. Epic and classic!!!
I'm more a fan of doom 3 and the original games.
The "gore" genre ain't doing it for me at all and the story is basically non-existent.
You really are invincible in this game, man... it feels so "plastic" to just run around knowing that whatever hellish being you're going to fight you're just gonna kick ass every single time. it feels kinda ironic to play a somewhat soulless game (in terms of story, repetitive combat, etc.) while the graphics makes you want to stay around for longer.
also, it would be fine to have 12+ weapons if they would have some significance in terms of damage or usage, instead you completely rely on the quantity of ammunition so there's not really a point in having that big variety of guns whatsoever.
Maybe i was gullible thinking this was gonna build on the doom 3 story and maybe have the same mechanic foundation, but i was terribly wrong and just as disappointed.
although, as i stated, I can't talk bad regarding the graphics... the game is absolutely beautiful and really captivates the hell-ish-horror "everything's f*cked" type of feel.

Fun game, interesting campaign so far.
This is, by far, the fairest hardest difficulty on a game. You can make it through hell, but it will take dying 100k times. I will be there some day, but not today.
Really like the Action Pack Gameplay really intense battles all throughout the game looking forward in playing more of the series
I finished it (only 33% of players have the final achievement, which says something), but it wasn't very engaging. Skip this and go straight to Doom Eternal, a truly fantastic game.
The main objective of DOOM is to "rip and tear until it is done" and this game does it with excellence. Violence and excitement merge together in this game just right. The usage of classic maps is also a huge positive for me.
However, there are small problems with DOOM 2016 that are worth mentioning.
First off, I feel it was short and left me unsatisfied with the game length.
Second, there are a few bugs, more clearly, the player getting stuck in objects and NPCs which only means you have to reload the last checkpoint (which is not that bad, you get to rip and tear again). Fortunately, this problem is not persistent which could be really annoying.
And finally, I couldn't play multiplayer because apparently, it's dead. I don't know how it could be.
Nothing but damn good fun. Very casual and the mechanics feel like a true video game with beautiful graphics
satisfaying combat. great puzzles and controls
Doom (2016) is a masterclass in modern first-person shooter design, seamlessly blending fast-paced action, stunning visuals, and a soundtrack that oozes adrenaline. This reboot of the legendary franchise pays homage to its roots while redefining what it means to be a relentless, no-holds-barred shooter.
From the moment the game starts, it thrusts you into the role of the Doom Slayer, a one-person army driven by pure rage and an unyielding desire to obliterate the demonic hordes of Hell. The combat is the heart of the experience, delivering an exhilarating flow that rewards aggression, precision, and quick thinking. The Glory Kill system keeps the action fluid and visceral, encouraging players to stay on the offensive rather than hide behind cover.
The level design is a standout feature, offering expansive, intricately designed arenas that encourage exploration and dynamic combat strategies. The weapons are equally impressive—each one feels powerful and satisfying, with upgrades that enhance your destructive potential without ever feeling gimmicky.
Visually, Doom is a feast for the eyes, with Hellish landscapes and industrial corridors brought to life in brutal detail. The soundtrack, composed by Mick Gordon, deserves special mention—it’s a pulse-pounding blend of heavy metal and industrial beats that perfectly complements the game's unrelenting pace.
Doom (2016) doesn’t just revive the spirit of the original—it elevates it to new heights. It’s a perfect balance of nostalgia and innovation, delivering a shooter experience that feels as fresh and relevant today as the original did in 1993. Whether you're a long-time fan or a newcomer to the franchise, Doom is a must-play.
A phenomenal 10/10.

Talk about love at first shot! Wow! What a game. Very fulfilling to the last drop. I highly recommend this game. It just so nice to just going around shooting up everything and not worry about hitting R to reload all the time. Very gratifying game. GET IT!!!!
Its fun and polished, don't overthink it. Play like Doom guy, go and kill.
DOOM 2016 is arguably the best franchise comeback it could be, that long-awaited return to its roots. id Software was not afraid to make an old-fashioned AAA meat shooter at a time when such games are considered useless and obsolete. And she did it beautifully and spectacularly: this is the same good old DOOM, only in a new and modern wrapper, and this is not just a spiritual remake of the golden classic (the original dulogy), but also an homage to all the most successful that was in the third part, which, in turn, was a sci-fi horror action movie. This is both a remake of the good old parts and a soft reboot of the entire franchise, devoid of frankly outdated elements, which takes all aspects to a new modern level. And the game, being old-fashioned and appealing to old game conventions, manages to be very modern, fully rethinking the formula of the meat shooter and its game rules.
I liked 10/10 =)
Not very engaging and slow. Also uses way more system resources than it has any right to.
if you like FPS and arcade shooters and you down own this game already your making a mistake. 100/10 on the fun scale, good difficulty, awesome secrets, good mechanics... the music is great and overall this game is SO worth its pricetag.
This is from the perspective of a single player experience... the campaign (if you can call it that) is very short depending on your skill level, but highly entertaining while it lasts. I should warn that this is a very basic shooter at its core so don't expect anything beyond several interlinked arena areas joined by a few passageways. No puzzles, no in-depth story... this is just pure adrenaline-driven action.
Just a really good game. Played right through it, and though I got it on a big sale, its 100% worth full price. I honestly prefer this over Eternal, but that's just me.
This game was great because it was just fun and didn't have a bunch of clunky mechanics that slowed you down, arbitrary restrictions, and stupid micro DLCs and paywalls everywhere. This game is a rare kind of game that is simply impossible for AAA game studios to pretend to care about making anymore. A fun one.
Not because it held us back from being better. If older was better, we'd still be cavemen. So I'll consider "older is better" to be null and void. This game took what worked from Doom 1, 2, and 3, then gave it good graphics, a fun online pvp mode, and some basic custom map support.
You move pretty fast in this game, and it does take some getting used to, but once you do, it's pretty fun. It's a game where you play as an angry demi-god who kills demons for about 10 hours with tons of fun secrets and extras to find in somewhat big maps. Thankfully they decided to actually make levels that weren't a piece of Pablo Picasso art where weird blue and brown is mixed and apparently meant to be Earth and Mars or Buffalo Bill's Dungeon with all the lights off and aliens and demons for some reason.
So too long; I'm a stupid kid and read reviews that are two words or less for those of you who wear the 2d anime avatars of fake 9 year old girls that will never love you: It's a mix between the kind of corridor shooters you'd see on the xbox 360 and the first 3 doom games as mentioned, and since this is probably the least buggy Bethesda game, it's pretty fun. I can recommend it. It has a lot of content and is cheap while somehow looking and running better than most games now.
this game is so good it rly keeps you super locked in esp on harder difficulties but the weapons make it so much fun i recommend
already beat this game like 40 times on other consoles and divices and im too lazy to replay but its good buy it regardless of being 8 years late
Beautiful graphics, and smooth gameplay. However it just doesn't scratch that itch as a first person shooter. Navigating the map is frustrating, as it can be confusing, but mostly because you are going to be jumping from one platform to the next - over and over again. Combat is basically where enemies spawn in a specific area, and besides the ranged enemies, the rest force you to run around, making sure you don't fall off the cliff while you use the same close range weapon that you have been using from the start - regardless that you have others, because they just aren't effective enough at close range. I suppose this game is just not my type, when I'm more focused on where I am, then what or how I'm going to kill something. There is fun to be had with this game, but I'm not hooked enough to even rely on the story to push me to the end.
An amazing entry in one of the best shooter series of all time. Doom Eternal has it beat in almost every aspect, but this game laid the bloody, gory foundation for it.
Worth every penny!
Played multiplayer a lot on ps5, but the story finished on steam deck. The best way to play. 🔥
Holds up today still as a really good game, even though I have had problems on my end such as being unable to switch weapons and shoot (which was solved by pressing tab) and fps drops later in the game.
DOOM is a relentless and exhilarating return to form for the franchise. With its fast-paced combat, incredible graphics, and a soundtrack that will pump you up, it's a must-play for any fan of first-person shooters.
good graphics and GORE pretty cool
Classic shoot-em-up
If you want to blow up some steam shooting and ripping demons apart, while listening to some dope metal music, this is a great pick
its a very well made game that you can play multiplayer with your friends its just wowwwwwwwwwwww
Amazing game for those maniacs who love getting elbow deep in blood and guts. This game is a MUST-HAVE.
It is worth the price IMO and is one of the best games I own.
Excellent and energetic FPS. The weapons are satisfying to use and the enemies fun to kill. The setting is great. The mechanics keep you moving and jumping as you fire at enemies, use glory kills, and collect health and ammo. It really keeps you on your toes as you are constantly balancing the damage you take with that which you try to heal. It's fun to have an FPS which encourages and rewards movement and action and so dissuades you from ever staying still.
So much adrenaline was coursing through me you'd think I was actually fighting for my life. DOOM 2016 is high octane fun of the highest calibre.
I thought the Doomslayer was a hero until I realized all the demons were once humans like you and I seeking food and enrichment😅
Good, old school FPS. Really nice music, a lot of action, for sure it's not a boring/static game. Perfect if you just want to chill after work or school.
I love this game a lot, especially it's soundtrack. Thank you Mick Gordon for blessing this game with your music, without it it's hollow. For people who are living under a rock, let me tell you: this game is the A4 Wagyu steak of boomer shooters. It is gory, violent and makes you feel like you can take on the world. F9ck these fitness influencers and their protein supplemets, play a few hours of this game and you'd see pubic hair growing from every area of your body, that includes your ass crack and ears.
I consider this game as a sadness annihilator, because after a 3-4 hour session you would come out of your cum dungeon smiling.
Great reboot of DOOM. I especially love the nostalgia rooms of Classic Doom. For a shooter/exploration game, I thoroughly recommend...but be warned: the gore level is out of this world!
Vastly overraterd, terrible map design, clunky mechanics, and gameplay that forces you to slow down
Had a lot of fun, looks, gameplay and music feel great
Was intimidated by the idea of fast paced combat at first but you can really get into flow of demon slaughter
Great game. Exploring and killing monsters is fun. The secrets can be revealed on the map.
This game kicks an almost irresponsible amount of ass. 11 hours of metal-fueled, gore-soaked adrenaline, an absolute powerhouse of simulated violence. Combat that induces such an intense high you start looking for it in other games, but nothing else scratches that itch. Feels like when I would put on a pair of Hulk Hands off the shelf at Walmart as a kid and get possessed by the Spirit of Punching Shit until my parents forced me to stop.
This is my second playthrough of the game and I hadn't touched it since early 2020, and let me tell you - this game may be the better part of a decade old, but it still feels like it could've come out yesterday. Doom Eternal is probably my second favorite game of all time and I've played through that game way more times than this one, but I haven't been giving 2016 enough credit. It runs above 120FPS at native 1440p on my mid-tier AMD card and has never once noticeably lagged, hitched, stuttered, or frozen, because it is a freakishly well-optimized game assembled by wizards. It feels like it still belongs and has a rightful place in today's world of video games.
If you're unsure of whether to pick this game up because it's from 2016, shut up and add this shit to your cart right now. Play the game and then ask yourself why you even hesitated.
i have not finished the game storey yet but i thinks its great,
it challenging, the sprits are well designed and the sound track is a master piece
its the first doom game i got and i love it playing on my steam deck it runs perfect, looking foward to getting some more doom games in the future
An extremely mediocre singleplayer fps game that overstays it welcome.
It felt like I had already experienced the entire game long before I reached the final levels. It is just way too repetitive and easy. And there isnt enough content to justify finishing the game.
A few technical complaints:
- The movement is horrid, very floaty and unresponsive
- Mouse smoothing is enabled by default and can only be disabled by editing a config file
- A lot of weapons slow down your mouse sensitivty, this is unacceptable (and there is no way to disable it)
- Very buggy
Bought this game twice! First on PS4 now on PC! I have said this over and over again; this game is the number one greatest comeback in gaming history, absolutely nothing can compare! 666 million times greater than DOOM Eternal! The loose story narrative is perfectly well made and it deserved a much better sequel than what DOOM Eternal delivered in story! Best DOOM game to ever play and one of the best shooters ever made! If you have never played this game, try it, you won't be sorry!
By far the best Doom imo. It feels more gritty and serious. They spent extra time on the models and environment looking very polished. Not cartoony like eternal(which i still enjoy). The atmosphere is on point.
