I cut my teeth on Capcom fighting games. Street Fighter II and later Street Fighter 3 Alpha. Though, the Marvel vs. Capcom series is something I have little experience in. That said, I think Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is a lot of fun on the casual gamer level.
It's been a long time since I put in the hours and brainpower to try and be halfway decent at fighting games. And honestly, I never was. What I like about this game is I don't think it actually requires the memorization of combos and practice of pulling off moves of the Capcom fighting games I played a very long time ago.
Which is a good thing for getting together with some buddies for some couch versus play. The fighting is wild and spectacular and just as fun getting your butt kicked. That's not to say there isn't depth, there's more to explore than back in my fighting game heyday. It's just that also along as no in your friend group has gone all fighting monk on learning this game, it really feels like everyone has a good chance of finding a counter combination of fighters to take down anyone else.
I certainly recommend this as a sort of party game. Or just for someone that wants to dip their toe into how Capcom does fighting games.

I love marvel vs capcom game and this one is AWESOME!!!. The character are great and the combos are sick. The mode are pretty good but heroes and herold game mode is a very fun mode. there is also mod in this game and there are fun as usual.
Overall one of best mvc game and i very recommended you this game if you like fighting game

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was a game I played a lot more back when it was a big deal during the PS3 era.
I know it's a super popular game since it brought a ton of big names to the fighting game scene, but I always had mixed feelings about it.
It was hyped up as this crazy rushdown game, especially since it didn’t have much competition in the team assist category within the fighting game scene.
Back then, I mostly liked it for the cool crossovers and just playing super casually. But when it came to playing online or competitively? Nah, it wasn’t that fun. The game doesn’t really teach you how to play at a competitive level—you basically have to hit up YouTube or watch footage to figure things out.
Funny enough, I started appreciating the game more after playing more modern team fighters, like Dragon Ball FighterZ, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, and even Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.
Over time, I began to understand why people loved Marvel 3 so much back in the day. It’s fast-paced, gives you tons of options, and manages to strike a good balance between Marvel and Capcom characters.
That said, I’m still salty we never got a version of Mega Man in Marvel 3. But hey, at least we got Phoenix Wright, I guess.
The story mode is pretty weak—just a basic arcade mode with a bit of dialogue at the beginning and end—but it’s still fun to see different characters take on the final boss, Galactus.
Sadly, Marvel 3 still doesn’t have rollback netcode, which really sucks. Marvel Infinite launched with great netcode, and now even Marvel vs. Capcom 1 and 2 have rollback thanks to the Marvel vs. Capcom Collection and Fightcade.
Hopefully, we’ll get to a point where Marvel 3 officially gets rollback netcode. Even though I probably still suck at it, I’d be down to jump online and get back into the groove.
While it definitely doesn't live up to its storied lineage, MvC 3 is a competent fighter. If you're seeking out something to try for couch-multiplayer, you will likely have some fun. My main complaints deal with some of the hassle involved in getting this version up and running as well as the generic-feeling art direction. Gone are the gorgeous, hand-drawn characters with dynamic animation. Instead, we get some stiff CG and not a lot of color. The game is just ... dark. But, despite that, I found gameplay to be fun enough to look past the drabness.

Its my Favorite Fighting Game and it got me into fighting games and it introduced me to Devil May Cry so very cool :)
The game features Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, and Nemesis—what more could you ask for?

Fast paced, over the top, fighting game, and 3v3 action. Capcom vs Marvel. This game feels fast, combos are big, and all the characters feel like anime characters. If you want a fighting game where you feel like an anime character this is a good game.
Really cool game, cool graphics, I know this is a console game from years ago but the adaptation with the PC on modern devices is very great. Totally recommend!

Best Fighting game I've ever played :)
Despite its flaws, like unbalanced gameplay, poor online features, and a lackluster arcade mode (typical of the MvC series), this game is still fantastic. It excels at capturing the essence of the comics in a stunning 3D style.

I had a lot of fun playing this, and I suck at fighting games.
Amazed this still works on a modern rig with W11...in 4k...ngl looks pretty awesome lol This art style aged fairly well.
It's not MvC2, don't get me wrong, but this one still has a special place in my heart for the time it came out in my life. Good deal too at the time, especially given it includes the DLC I skipped back in the day.

Give us marvel vs cap com 4 and take a page from this game instead of infinite.
