Despite its flaws, like unbalanced gameplay, poor online features, and a lackluster arcade mode (typical of the MvC series), this game is still fantastic. It excels at capturing the essence of the comics in a stunning 3D style.
I had a lot of fun playing this, and I suck at fighting games.
Amazed this still works on a modern rig with W11...in 4k...ngl looks pretty awesome lol This art style aged fairly well.
It's not MvC2, don't get me wrong, but this one still has a special place in my heart for the time it came out in my life. Good deal too at the time, especially given it includes the DLC I skipped back in the day.

I love this game. it's so broken, with characters like vergil and zero obvious dominators, and the core game being a bit of a hassal to learn, but it is so fun to do cool shit right and effectively, and it is so cool that a time when marvel could make this games happen constantly is amazing. This will go down in history as one of the greatest games of all time.

One of my favourite games of all time. I've been playing it since it came out for PlayStation Vita when I was but 14 years old. I'm 26 now, and I'm mildly saddened that we didn't get a proper successor to the series.
vergil haunts me in my nightmares 10/10
Truthfully, what isn't to love. It's a phenomenal game from a phenomenal point in the company's history. If we're being honest with ourselves, it's the best fighting game ever made. If you were to ask me, shit, it's the greatest video game ever made. While there may be the occasional gripe about the top tiers or the lack of viability at the bottom, or the players trapped in 2011 vowing genocide against the supporters of X-Factor as a mechanic, but, in truth, the game is perfect, at least, it is in my eyes. No other game gives you a defensive suite this in depth in ratio to the deepest offensive suite provided in any other fighting game. While other greats may yet beat the breakneck speeds of Marvel (Marvel 2, DBFZ, BBCF, GGAC#+R, etc.), none of them come close to what Marvel 3 offers in droves: variance. By having that deep offensive suite come not primarily from the systems themselves, but rather, how individual characters modify and interact with the system, Capcom has created the most dynamic video game ever made. Every match feels wholly unique, even against the same teams, against the same characters, and a decade later. The only other game to come close to UMVC3 for me in this aspect was Melee, but even then, different genre, and far more archaic. While the lack of rollback is one of the biggest continuous L's that Capcom takes, the core game that surrounds the shitty netcode is so phenomenal, so worth your time, that it entirely and completely makes up for it. In terms of performance, this will run on god damn anything released at around the time of its release some 15 years ago or later. You'd be hard stuck trying to find a device that this thing won't run on. There'e no excuse not to give it a try. And one more thing.No video game has ever taught me more about life than this one here. Seriously. Having played this game since I was 4 years old, I've learned pattern recognition, critical thinking, the ability to harness opinions based off of in depth research, and the ability to respectfully show disagreement with Vergil players. This game has made me smarter, more social, and a better person overall. A statement that you wouldn't believe was true if you heard the things I say while getting comboed by Zero, but, that's life. When's MAHVEL BABY?

Yup that's the time it took for me to make it through the entire storyline of the game. I'm not even that great at fighting games. It was so boring idk if I'll ever touch it again. It was interesting for that amount of time though (similar to reading a comic book and about the same price)
Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 is the most fun I've had with a fighting game before. An incredible roster of Capcom and Marvel characters, thrilling 3v3 battles, and insane combos fitted with the most flashy visuals and sounds ever. Although it might be unbalanced, the fights are enthralling both to play and to watch. Not to mention there's a bunch of community mods that add entire characters with their own movesets, adding even more replayability to a game that already has an insane amount of it. At only $7.50 on sale it's a great deal, but hell I'd say it's worth it even at full price.

I really enjoyed Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and highly recommend it. The fast-paced 3 vs. 3 tag battles featuring iconic Marvel and Capcom characters are thrilling, and the "Heroes and Heralds" mode adds great customization. While the battles can feel a bit too fast to fully appreciate the action, this minor issue doesn’t detract from the overall experience. With all DLC included and online multiplayer, this is the definitive version of a fantastic game. A must-play for fans of fighting games!

Greatest fighting game ever made
There is a very slight lag between input and start of movement, just enough to be noticeable. I personally dislike the 3d models used. Smaller roster than MvC2 on the ps2. The menu is laggy and the voice over on the menu is annoying and can't be turned off without also disabling voices in match.

I loved watching UMvC3 tournaments back in the day! Recommending it now comes with a few caveats though.
- This game was released on consoles in 2011, but did not come to PC until 2017.
- Poor netcode, no rollback or GGPO, doesn't have cross-platform multiplayer either.
[*]There's still an active playerbase on PSN, but on Steam it's completely dead unless you use Parsec (organized via Discord).
If you're cool with that or just wanna play offline, then I can recommend getting this on sale. The lowest recorded sale price is $7.49 at -70%.
PS: Worked perfectly out of the box on CachyOS (Linux) with Proton-GE.

This game is lowkey gas, I've played it since I was like 5, it's actually so much fun, whether its fighting against AI or actual people. It's so much fun.

the game is better when you have mods, without the mods, the game is just bland by itself, it is better if you went online and downloaded a lot of mods just to make this game even better to play than it is before
