At a 20 dollar price point, this game doesn't exactly have a whole lot to offer outside of the weirdly balanced rouge-lite mode. The combat is "fun", but it gets old a little too quickly. The weapon variety is impressive, but they all behave mostly the same, some simply have more range and durability than others. The shield mechanic was never utilized in the scenarios, and only in the later arena fights (IV and V were not that fun by comparison, ranged enemies and bullet sponges don't feel very satisfying to fight, especially when they kill you instantly)
The enemy variety in the standard scenarios is lacking, all of the enemies behave in roughly the same way, they all get caught on level geometry, avoid obvious hazards, and use the same move-sets, the only difference is health and immunity to the powers.
My friend and I managed to complete most of the content that we enjoyed, in under two hours. I don't think we'll be revisiting the rouge-lite mode in the future, its a "concept" but it feels unpolished. There's a lot of walking and scrounging, two particular acts that aren't very enjoyable. I'd say if this ever goes for half off, that would be my ideal price point.
i really like the difrent maps and mods also i like how and can jump on the light in the bar map and go nahnahnahnahnah you cant git me to the npcs i would recemend!
Its a really good game, I like the scenarios. I don't like that there are no cheats for beneath, like infinite health or power. In endless arena there should be multiplayer, it would be more fun. There also should be an option to pick if you just want humans or beneath monsters or both. I like the music a lot.
Fun Destruction and Violence based game. Not for the faint of heart, but put the doom soundtrack on, and let your anger out, with combat physics that utilise every weapon and item you could think of.
This is the funnest and funniest POV, combat, battle and bloody gore games in all time.

This the game is great if your a person who takes their anger out on everyone have fun straight molly-whopping people back 2 back or just stab them in the face with a pool cue.
A blast from the past. A bar-brawl murder sim that's fun for the whole family. A hearty thumbs up!

Blood, Gore, optimized for bad PCs, great game! The workshop is large and the game already has 3 preset game modes, and one of them has "Modifiers" Overall, great game.
This is by far the most relaxing, addictive, and wholesome video games I ever played in my entire life. You spend your time in this experience exploring the vast sights of a lively town, taking your time painting the entire town of the lovely color red. I found this game so peaceful in fact, that I was cured of my crippling depression within just a single hour of game play! I heavily recommend this tranquil little game to both children and people with severe anger issues alike.

i love this game so much. you can do so much murder and paint the town red with more blood than is donated to blood drives per year, and i could talk more, but i don't want to spend more time not playing this game. so i shall just say this: the big destruction on the skulls of those foolish enough to fight back is endless, and i wish i found this game sooner
the game brings me nostalgia, and the fact that the VR dlc came out is the best thing that happened to this game in my opinion.
The game is very fun and there a lot of maps to explore(especially the player made ones).The only downside is that bugs a often,but it is playable for the most part,i would recommend this.

Stellar game with so many things to do. You would think it would be just a typical sandbox, but there are multiple levels, fun arena challenges, and even a large exploration game. Fairly difficult, but satisfying to get a handle on!
If you don't want to try this game because of the blocky voxel graphics, then bugger off, this game ain't for graphics snobs who refuse to play a game unless it's 8K a-bazillion-frames-per-second so-realistic-it-literally-looks-just-like-real-life.

When i was young i watched jacksepticeye playing this game and i was jealous that i couldn't afford to play it. Fast forward 8 years later and now that i have money, bought it, did 100% achievements and i had a blast doing it. From the monsters in beneath to the challenges in arena mode and even the speedruns in the biker bar, saloon and prison. This game was perfect. Everyone who hasn't, should play it.
this is such a cool game but i think kids 11 and older could play because it has a'lot of blood in it

Beat em' up title which has an active modding community. Human opponents seem a tad bit slow but its still a fun enough game to play.

I have had this game for months. I just didn't write a review for it yet. But, here we are. Now if you are a fan of gore games, then this game is absolutely the flawless choice. This game also has workshop support, which is quite entertaining. This game is killing people by beating them to death with anything on the level you desire. This game was also a part of my childhood, seeing YouTubers playing it. The game is overall very satisfying to play. And sometimes hysterical.
If you want to play VR, BEWARE. Even though it states "VR Supported", you still have to buy the VR DLC for half the price of the game. It is also a shallow experience, but it is pretty good at what it does. I have not tested the VR, so I cannot say anything about it, but i refunded the game after the DLC surprise.

Very fun game to play in short bursts. Vanilla game content is limited (Beneath isnt really appealing to me, but for regular play there is only 5 unique maps for brawling). Luckily, the workshop allows you to download maps, and the in-game map maker lets you make your own, and the workshop scene is still thriving so there are literally thousands of maps to download.
Gameplay is simple but very effective. Your attacks really feel like they have a weight to them, and you can see how the voxels of your enemies break and bruise based on your attack or weapon (the nunchuck is the best weapon to use, imo, you can properly BASH A HEAD IN). Enemy AI is simple but for a game like this that isnt a downside at all. Graphics and presentation is practically iconic at this point, the little cube-headed freaks that populate each map and the almost lego-like settings very well draw you in.
I definitely reccomend this game. It's fun, for starts, and constant new content on the workshop allows a LOT of new opportunities. This is, of course, a game that is best played in small amounts at a time since the actual PLAY aspect is relatively simple.

You need to let own some frustration. You need to break someones bones. You want to chill and cause pain. Well sounds like paint the town red is just for you. A game where you beat the breaks off of everyone and don't take nothing from no one. As im typing this it's re downloading in the background

the game is really fun playing with friends and the scenarios are cool i love the arena and the modifiers are cool

i smacked a dudes head and his brain splatered all over the wall, then 3 seconds later i got brutally murdered by a random npc. Indeed a good game and its worth the price. ( I got it on sale )
This game is near perfect, I have 400 hours on this and it's legit an amazing fighting game, Although the 25 dollar price is a little high it is still very worth it, If it's on sale i'd definently give this a try, The Level Editor is easy to learn and it's fun to make levels. The community is also friendly which is good. It's certainly died down since like 2019 and other times but it still has a decently active community and there are nearly 13000 levels in this thing to play, It's also pretty good with file size which is nice. Get this.
This is a very fun sandbox game where you can go full berserk on everyone! The modifiers and the workshop makes the experience feel fresh and would recommend everyone to try this game out!
