Kitten Love Emulator is a fast paced exploration game where everything is all smiles, sunshine, and sweetness! Hang out at the mall, spend a day at the beach, murder him now 💕, or even explore the vastness of space! WOWSIES! It's totes filled with humanly delicious comedy that two legged talky meat things of all ages and mental states will find gnawingly humerus.
It's just bursting open and gushing out 'great' and awe-full features, such as:
- Levels that react to your cats emotions, ever-changing to fit the current mood (Intense Anger, Blinding Zeal, Suicidal Depression, 𝐿𝒪𝒱𝐸 𝐿𝒪𝒱𝐸 𝐿𝒪𝒱𝐸 𝐿𝒪𝒱𝐸 𝐿𝒪𝒱𝐸, etc.)
- AI that constantly watches what your doing to try to prevent boredom, and turning homicidal too early.
- Non-traditional puzzles that require everything from abusing game glitches to stabbing things in their organs repeatedly.
- Cats that you can like dress-up! Today they can be an angel, and tomorrow a demon...although demons are technically angels, so whatevs.
- The bestest and MOST delightful bunny friend to aide you on your epic journey. Everyone freakin' LOVES bunnies! Srsly, you had better >:}
- Drive a bunch of vehicles that cat's absolutely have no bzns driving, no siree. Like tanks, and spiders, and attack helicopters, and a spaceshi*, and even other cats.
Really, when I just like stop and think about it, you should totally get this game. It's a great game, that'll either A) Keep you busy for like 10 hours or even more if ur dumb, B) Fill you with such discomfort and confusion that'll you'll quit out of sheer disgust. Either way you get to experience monar...LOVE first hand, and that's like a complete bargain buy itself.
Just remember that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EVERY INCH OF YOU -- well at least the edible bits

nowhere close to beating it yet but i can tell its going to have adverse side-effects on me 10/10
I haven't completed the game yet, but not sure if I will fully understand everything anyway when I do complete it. Also, not sure if this review reveals "too much" about the game, safest bet if you are remotely interested is to just spend the 2$ and play for yourself, it's worth it.
What belies how "random" this game seems to be is how focused it actually is. The game is weird but everything is done deliberately in order to achieve the desired effect. The player is fully unconstrained movement-wise and the levels often change by themselves, through player action or some other methods which give a sense that anything can happen. For me it feels similar to visiting a remote country or area, where you're not fully in your element but can discern repeating sounds, images, etc. Few things give me this feeling short of actually traveling, two that come to my mind immediately are Yume Nikki and Petscop.
Most of the puzzles have good obvious clues and there are direct hints anyway through Lucy Fur. There are many puzzles but most aren't too involved, for the more obscure ones I did have to use the steam guides as hints are pretty sparse for these, but this is not the norm. Puzzles engage you but they are not the main point of this game.
The fact there are characters in game shows that there is a narrative which is barely out of the player's reach. Tonally the game is enough to keep the player going for hours even without any plot. The emotion system also adds highly to replayability and reminds me of how the levels change in LSD: Dream Emulator.
The creator is obscure but fingers crossed in the future we will see a Kitten Love Emulator 2 or perhaps something completely different but equally inspired.
This game was absolutely not for me. I like bizarre...or so I thought, at least. But...not quite like this. I found the game to be overly manic. Blasts of conflicting sounds, images, art styles, and fonts. The cat moves at insane speeds, making it difficult to control. Things are screeching and shouting at you constantly. It just...it was too stressful for me.
Listen, the trailer does a good job of showing the game for what it is. It is a hectic and chaotic mix-mash of....everything. I thought I would like this, but...it turned out to be more than I could handle. I didn't refund or anything...I got exactly what I paid for. I just didn't like it and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Clown Award me all you want, but it's the truth. :-P
a very uncommon, strange little game I only found through a random image board post. what a little gem to find in the vast expanse.
I think this game is pretty cool. I like that it feels like your playing one of those hunted kids games type things. its interesting to look at and fun to explore. My only gripes are that for whatever reason the space ship can't be flown without my mouse clicking off screen and closing the game and that the final boss fight sucks ass.
Good. I was surprised at how doable and reasonable the puzzles were, I was really expecting some tedious trial and error stuff typical of this kind of game, but actually it felt strangely approachable (as much as something like this can be). I guess the only thing is that I wish there was a way for me to not jump as high, 'cause I had to correct myself pretty often to not mess up.
I actually love this game so much, haven't even completed it yet either but i definitely recommend you just buy and play the game since it's only 2$, of course the frame rate isn't great and there's many bugs but still one of my favorites out of my steam library
It's fine if you want a mind F*** but otherwise... well, let's just say that you've been warned. I got it for less than a dollar and I still requested a refund.
Nearly unplayable. Awful controls. Vomit-inducing simulation sickness. Cute cats tho.
I don't think I have ever seen another game on Steam in as bad of a state as this-
-The ability to just fly with jump
-Fly out the map
-Incomplete objects
-You can get stuck on stuff
-Scuffed camera that is directly above the kitten, as if the camera was supposed to be first person?
-The awfully designed in game menu
-The cursor isn't anchored to the window in game
Good lord what a mess, please Steam, PLEASE, quality control! I'm refunding.
Overall one of the weirdest games on Steam, definitely interesting if you don't mind a game that will make you feel mentally unwell.
Pros:
+ Unique puzzles utilizing glitches to solve (Shoot while paused, clip walls with rollercoaster, flip the camera, glitch through mazes)
+ Tons of gameplay, always something 'unique'. It's easy to go from racing with giant cats in the sky, to be laughed at while riding bumper cars that explode, then onto a maze shmup battle with an EDM dance party prison if you win.
+ Good co-op experience, players can drop in and out whenever
+ Lucy Fur is now my bestest and only friend
Cons:
- Gameplay mechanics are odd and take some getting used to. Designed for speed over sanity
- Graphics are all over the place and nothing is consistent
- Can be confusing, but there are in-game hints that are decent until very late game (30+ hrs in)
Neutral:
> Game autosaves after every action, there is no way to set savefiles (Can go back and visit everything though)
> The humor and story are interesting but may not be for everyone (Pretty grim)
> Late game level changing mechanic is neat but can make levels temporarily unplayable (Fortunately there is a quick reset feature)
If you want something that makes you feel disturbed while throwing a stream of schizophrenia at you definitely give it a try. Just realize it will take a bit of time to understand the controls and getting between worlds efficiently.

Crazy. Recommended if you like crazy and aren't fussy about bugs or frame rates. For example I lost my progress when I tried out the tutorial level and it filled with too many chickens and triangles, the frame rate dropped to less than 1 per second which caused the escape button not to work as intended.
Mostly psychedelic walking sim, light puzzles, fly through things, non linear. Lots of hidden things to find.
It's a bigger game than I expected, a lot of work has been put in, but it's still amateurish and cheesy.
Music is well chosen, there is a variety of music.
No story per se, just find everything and try enough things to get achievements.
I've adored every second of playing this and I can't wait to jump back in to continue my descent into madness.

After what felt like an eternity, I've managed to reach the end of the game. And what a journey it was.
I don't think I could ever even begin to describe it, but I enjoyed the creative puzzles and nonsense environments. Although sometimes a bit frustrating, it was actually quite fun to experience all the weird events. Definitely worth it for uncovering what probably resembles a story with some strange characters. Highly recommend playing if you like bizarre exploration games with some deep lore included.
It gets a Wacky Fever Dream/10 from me.
i havent beaten it at the time of writing this but i already know i would die for this game, its cute and fun and it also terrifies me! sincerely from the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this
controls are a little intimidating at first look but theyre really easy once you get to playing for a bit, good puzzles, good exploration, good kittens, 11/10 bunny that feels extremely safe and lovely despite talking about eating humans sometimes, scary/10 beast that laughs at me from the ether, thank you

It's a weird game but pretty fun. I haven't played anything like it.
Controls are a little different but you get used to it quick. The tutorial is easy to understand.
If you like mazes, exploring, and being creeped out , this is the game for you.
This is the only way to know what it feels like to know absolutely nothing, it emulates the feeling of utter confusion like nothing else apart from understanding why Todd Howard would be making fun of the bugs in their games rather than fixing them...
This is easily the perfect example of what not to do when perfectly done.
There's no way in hell I could ever review this game as I don't know what it is, if it's a game, why it exists or why I gave a thumbs up...
Watch the trailer, read the text, if you feel confused right now, you've seen nothing yet...I can not say anything about what I've seen as I don't understand it at all, why was there suddenly a chequered ball in my paw...?
