This is your sign. Bought it last week when it was on sale. Played it every single day, when i stop playing i keep thinking about it. It's a Fun relaxing game they even have online radio station. Can't recommend it enough. Bought The essential bundle. Hoping to get all DLC when its on sale. Highly recommend it specially when you are burnt out in other games or in life LOL. Have a nice day.

My first hour in this game:
- Yell abuse at virtual traffic lights.
- Turn, indicate, yell at bmw drivers.
- Get a speeding fine doing 56 in a 60.
- Let local law enforcement get intimate with a central reservation. (with a little help from 16t of water tank)
- Argue the highway code at a computer monitor.
- Ace Ventura into a perfect parking spot only to hit enter and auto park.
Still made a profit, 11/10 hope the truck owners had good insurance.
Wonderful gameplay is described in this game, you can fully get used to the game and feel the very track, the very nature. It's especially nice to listen to the radio on the way!
At first I was a hater just dogging on my friends for grinding out 300 hours of Euro Truck Sim 2 but then I just magically understood the game as soon as I bought my steam deck. Now I own all the map expansions

I’ll admit it... I hadn’t touched Euro Truck Simulator 2 in a while. But when I saw they dropped the Greece DLC, I couldn’t resist. And wow, was it worth firing up the ol’ rig again! ETS2 didn’t just remind me why I loved it in the first place, it gave me the full Greek trucking experience.
The AI drivers in this game? They’re not AI anymore. They’re koutsoura (stubborn logs) with a driver’s license. Tailgating me like I owe them toll money, overtaking on blind corners with the grace of a souvlaki spinning on a stick, and stopping randomly in the middle of the road, this DLC has brought the chaotic beauty of Greek roads to life. It’s so real, I kept checking my mirrors to see if a family of goats was about to cross.
And oh, the joy of finally driving like a proper Greek trucker. Speed limits? Just decorative signs to match the scenery. Lane markings? Merely friendly suggestions. Traffic rules? Suggestions from the EU we politely ignore. I’ve been tailgating cars for miles and swerving around roundabouts like I’m late for a coffee at the kafenio. It’s beautiful chaos.
The landscapes are breathtaking, but let’s be honest—I’m too busy trying to keep the AI drivers from stealing my cargo or my will to live. And yet, I love every minute of it. The Greece DLC brought me back to ETS2, but this chaotic authenticity is why I’ll stay. 12/10, would let AI drivers nearly run me off a cliff again.
Disclaimer: Yes, I’m Greek. And yes, this review is a lovingly exaggerated tribute to our unique driving habits. Please don't tailgate me IRL... unless you're bringing souvlaki.

One of the most addictive and relaxing games I've played. I am not a real life driver but I've spends hundreds of hours trucking with mates going across Europe! Great work SCS, keep it going! Highly recommend it!
The developers wont release the Russian DLC. We just want to play the game and they let politics and petty narcissism damage what this game can be. Release the DLC, let the players have the full game already, stop abusing your customers.
The greatest pleasure in this game comes from transporting beer from Manchester to Szczecin
Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a shining example of how a game can remain a great game years after it's original release. You can tell the Devs cares about their game as much as it's fan base. I wish some of the other developers out there would take notes from SCS.

After spending 195 hours on Euro Truck Simulator 2, I gotta say, this game is the ultimate chill experience. From customizing your truck, planning routes, to vibing with the sunset on the highway—it’s all super detailed and insanely satisfying. It really nails that ‘real trucker life’ feel, especially when you’re cruising while listening to the in-game radio. Totally worth every minute!
This game is so good its really relaxing just put on some music or a video and just drive amazing support from the devs Despite not being to intrested in cars or trucks irl this game still captured me with its cozy atmosphere and of course getting to drive in countries that include my home country aswell as its neighbours is so much fun
I played the prologue and was hooked straight away luckily it was on sale in the autumn sale 2024 so grabbed it and not stopped playing it since.
It's just so relaxing and chilled(until someone crashes into you cause they are blind) yes you will slight road rage with some of the ai but the rest is just chill.
Drop the windows,turn the radio on(real radio stations might i add and deliver that shipment on real roads.
Excellent game. I own it since the first DLC came out and still keep buying all the expansion map DLCs. Although I only played nearly 100 hours, it's just so relaxing to drive with my favourite radio station. There are some goals like owning garages and employing drivers, and I think they are key to start earning more. But I am unsure about whether this is the only way to make money faster.
I still have the original truck with a few upgrades and reached level 20 after probably starting a new game a few times. I regret this because early game is really slow progress... and now I just keep going. There is no other strategy as far as I can tell, so just sit back, relax and explore the huge map that's now available.
definitely good game to virtually travel in different countries, i just now traveled in germany and it is so much the same as in this game
This is the best hands down, this company has been working on this genre since 2001 with 18 wheels of steel, waste hours just driving having fun building company and customizing your truck. I wish were few tweak like more weather and breakdowns. But so many mods in this community can find what you most of the time.
Absolute showcase of how developers should make games.
Throughout the years SCS Software delivered free and paid DLC's and overhaulsed the game from ground up (graphical overhauls, physics overhaul)
If this game would be developed by EA let's say, we would be on ETS 9 by now :) :(

this game hits different. The graphics etc. are not "the best" but still just good ENOUGH to tell you - yes, it's beautiful out there on the Autobahn. It just gets the atmosphere right - just turn on the radio and listen to the engine purring and growling in front and around you. This is your happy place now.

The base game gives you a pretty big map to drive to with variety of countries to visit and trucks to drive.
The controls feel very responsive even with mouse and keyboard.
Side Notes:
1) I hate reverse parking with a trailer attached, its the worst. You have the option to auto-park tho, so its all good.
2) Driving Academy becomes kinda hard at the end.
All and all, great game, highly recommended. Value for money for sure
Got it as a gift from a friend, didn’t play it much with controller but once I got a steering wheel I was hooked. Went from 30 hours to almost 400 in 6 months lol. I want to be a real life trucker now and the plan is to get my license in the near future. Overall great game and really fun!
Very fun with a wheel. I do wish they'd do a UK revamp, some of the cities in Germany look more like my home city of Swansea than Swansea itself does in the game.
ETS2 aims to reflect the reality right? But something is too wired. I really don’t like it and hope SCS to improve. The design is to make accidents such as sudden slow down of vehicles, sharp cut during cut outs, always have vehicles adjacent when turning corners obviously is in purpose. Understandable that such design might help to raise the safety awareness when driving in real life but too obvious makes the game too odd to be played and has a feeling of black heart😤

I bought this game in 2019 thinking "Yeah, I like driving and this seems like a decent game, let me give it a shot". Five years and 4,700 hours later, I must say that this is probably the best addiction I've ever had.
The relaxing nature of this game has helped through some hard times - sometimes I feel this works even better than meditation. I just sit down, start the truck, make a delivery or two across Europe, and after that my stressed-out brain would work again.
The game has been available for 12 years and it is still constantly updated with new content, better graphics, QoL improvements, optimizations, you name it. All of the DLCs just make it better and more fun when you want it.
Of course there are areas for improvement, but hey, I've paid just about the same amount as a McDonald's combo for this game and I've enjoyed it so much for so long. Best money I've ever spent on games and I'd recommend this to anyone and everyone who asks me.
Extremely boring. I "borrowed" this game from a friend a while ago and thought I'd actually buy it when it was on sale for a couple of quid. I think this games aimed at for those people who go all out and buy a proper simulation setup, and waste their day away driving a trucky truck. After getting my HGV license IRL I can't touch this game, being limited to a game version of a Scania cab isn't like the real thing.
IRL you can pull over when it's your time to take a break for the night, ENCASE yourself within the cab by closing the provided curtains or blinds for all the windows, depending which truck you're in you can have the heating on all night, get into a small bed and now this is the best part, if you're savvy you can attach screens to certain areas of the rear of the cabin and run either a laptop or a console from it and you're set.
I can get more entertainment from working stupidly long shifts IRL than a simulator.
IRL = Park up in the best services, make sure it has a wide selection. Normally as soon as I'm parked I scuttle over to either Subway or Mcdonalds and load myself up with eating and scuttle back to my cab like a happy little rodent. While consuming the starters I like to heat up the cab, watch something from the tablet while in the drivers seat arranging tomorrows journey, Making sure the Tachograph is being a good boy then hop out and secure the truck. I go to extra measures to make sure nothing can intrude into the cab or rear of the trailer.
Then by this point it's dinner time.
With a wide selection of Mcdonalds (again) KFC, Subway (again), Chinese (Stay away from them road side chinese places, they're grim). I mostly get 2 triple cheese burgers from Mcdonalds and the rest from KFC followed by a coffee from Starbucks.
Then what I said previously happens. Why would I go and play a simulator that lacks the best parts? For the most part, driving is extremely boring and long. It's different to driving a car because nobody understands how lorries need to maneuver - so when you've had to take a tight corner wide, and you've got Bubba Zim'wakka'gib coming up behind you 20 miles an hour over the speed limit, he gets triggered and decides to brake check you for the rest of your journey. It's the best job in the world besides that, you're left alone. Never stuck in the same place, but I disgress. Only play this simulator if you're a bedroom dweller who doesn't even have a license. I found it fun when I lived that life, nothing wrong with it but it's SO much more entertaining IRL.

this game was great. but for the past year they have raped the fucking controlls this is genuinly unplayable for me now im sick of having to rebind my controlls every week. im completely sick to death of this shit.
Strangely addictive, for me anyway. Bought it on sale, came to this game thinking I might enjoy it for a few hours...155 hours later. You can just jump in with Quick Jobs, save some Euros then buy yourself a garage and a rig. You can get into some technical detail and customisation if you want or just buy stock trucks. Nice details in the scenery, passing trains and trams etc. Plenty of preference options to suit your system and playing style. I just use the mouse for steering (with reduced sensitivity) and the keyboard, works for me. 2 thumbs up.
Just to start off with, I love this game and had a lot of fun with it. But now it feels that with every update my controls get reset and changed, and the saved layouts I have don't even work. If you play primarily on steam deck, then I wouldn't recommend playing this game. It's just a pain to have to change around all the controls again to what I prefer and then have the game update and reset it all again. I don't know if this issue is because of steamOS, but I only really started having this issue after the 1.5 update.
If you're not playing on steam deck, it's well worth the money. Get the game.
I loved this game, but since update 1.51 all the buttons for the controller have been changed. Even if you load an old layout from the Steam community with the old key assignment, it always loads the default settings.
It's a nightmare to change everything by myself. As an average ETS2 player, I just want to jump into the game and drive a truck and not spend hours adjusting any settings. Frustrating...

Euro Truck Simulator is a great game! I like it a lot.
Unfortunately, a recent update changed the keybinds on controller. I am unable to change them back without having to configure them every single time I open the menu or change between programs (alt+tab).
The fact that the Steam Input settings keep overwriting themselves is upsetting me at a point where I'm writing this review. I am very disappointed.
Might fail my class because of this game, but the tires aren`t transporting themselves.
