Strangely addictive, for me anyway. Bought it on sale, came to this game thinking I might enjoy it for a few hours...155 hours later. You can just jump in with Quick Jobs, save some Euros then buy yourself a garage and a rig. You can get into some technical detail and customisation if you want or just buy stock trucks. Nice details in the scenery, passing trains and trams etc. Plenty of preference options to suit your system and playing style. I just use the mouse for steering (with reduced sensitivity) and the keyboard, works for me. 2 thumbs up.
Just to start off with, I love this game and had a lot of fun with it. But now it feels that with every update my controls get reset and changed, and the saved layouts I have don't even work. If you play primarily on steam deck, then I wouldn't recommend playing this game. It's just a pain to have to change around all the controls again to what I prefer and then have the game update and reset it all again. I don't know if this issue is because of steamOS, but I only really started having this issue after the 1.5 update.
If you're not playing on steam deck, it's well worth the money. Get the game.
I loved this game, but since update 1.51 all the buttons for the controller have been changed. Even if you load an old layout from the Steam community with the old key assignment, it always loads the default settings.
It's a nightmare to change everything by myself. As an average ETS2 player, I just want to jump into the game and drive a truck and not spend hours adjusting any settings. Frustrating...

Euro Truck Simulator is a great game! I like it a lot.
Unfortunately, a recent update changed the keybinds on controller. I am unable to change them back without having to configure them every single time I open the menu or change between programs (alt+tab).
The fact that the Steam Input settings keep overwriting themselves is upsetting me at a point where I'm writing this review. I am very disappointed.
Might fail my class because of this game, but the tires aren`t transporting themselves.

This is a game ive played for years, when i have had a busy day and need to wind it down...or that lazy Sunday afternoon...theres no place to be other than in the Eurotruck world! Relaxation, sight seeing if you are into road trips and adventure...then this is your thing. You will expirience places around the globe you did not know did exist(Unless you are from those areas!)
So ETS2 keep it up and keep improving on the game it is worth it...Trust me!
this game is so awsome! but one thing that bugs me are the x around the map (brief explaination of x : you find them around the map which are boundaries located) please remove them to make the game more realistic
if you go the wrong way the map is going to change its route for a longer/shorter route that would be cool if you would fix that. thanks for reading my review :))
Definitely the best of the truck simulators. Great maps and scenery, live radio travelling through countries is fantastic adding to the immersion. Looking forward to Norway.
Graphics engine needs an update as it is getting dated now with hills just snapping into existence, storms and clouds not aligning with lightening+rain, no hostile weather (like hail, high wind and tornadoes) overall weather needs a big buff, and bill-boarding of assets like trees could do with modernisation.
perfect game if u just want to have fun and enjoy driving and working your way to the the top and making your company the biggest logistics company in the world this game is just overall a perfect game to just kill time off and enjoy being in a convoy and doing jobs with your friends

Simply everything you would ask for in a Truck sim, If there is a way that interactive hotels and restaurants could be added would be soo cool.
Beautiful locations and very immersive experience. I find this a very relaxing and enjoyable game to play.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a wonderful way to tour around Europe - without leaving home! The developers seem to be constantly working on adding realism to existing cities, as well as developing new DLC to take you further afield. It's easy to just get into a truck and start driving, but if you want to, you can buy your own truck, or even build a business by buying trucks and employing drivers. And there's now even a Driving Academy to teach you the finer skills.
One thing I definitely would recommend is using a gaming wheel and pedals. I started out with a basic Trust GXT570, which worked fine, but recently upgraded to a Logitech G29, which has allowed me to add an H-shifter for manual gears.
When it comes to negatives - I haven't come across any! It seems a very well-written gane, and I haven't experienced any bugs or glitches.
Nice, relaxing truck game. The world is quite smaller in the game than in real life, which is a good thing. The game is rather arcade like in its simulation but it hits just the right balance between serious simulator and a game. Highly recommended.
i like the game due to its realistic features there's not much to dislike about the game expect the battery drainage so if you don't play with a decent amount of battery the game could finish your battery very quickly unless you have a long lasting battery time on your device

Driving in all the countries and see all the different environments is fun.
It's all about the precise control on your truck and trailers. DLC is valuable to buy. You can modifies your trucks and trailers in details. Suggest you to buy this game and it's DLCs during promotion.

Amazing and chilled game with tonnes of mods to keep you busy for ages. everyone before the play thinks it a silly game than they buy and enjoy hundreds of hours of game play.
This game has taken my blood, sweat and tears every single time I play it. It is truly a paragon of the three manifested into one ungodly experience. Every time a tw@t doesn’t stop for a give way junction or a car in front won’t move to join a dual carriageway a part of my soul dies. Yet i still come back to this game every time.
Very fun and relaxing game, especially with friends. Solo is also very enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend!
Who knew trucking can be so fun? I bought a wheel for it and it instantly became twice as good. VR is also amazing although tricky to set up. Overall a nice time killer and you get 5 hours of demo! 10 if you include American Truck Sim!

good game. i liked the time scaling feature so it doesn't take ages and isn't grindy, but still has drives that are long enough to be realistic and interesting. a feature i would like to see added is animations for both the channel tunnel and ferries. i think it would improve the realism

Ein sehr guter Simulator. In Kombination mit einem Simlenkrad sehr zu empfehlen. Toll ist auch, dass man eigene Lkw und Garagen kaufen kann. Ich fände es allerdings besser, wenn man die Auflieger und Aufträge den angestellten Fahrern selber zuweisen könnte.

I just want to clarify, i've never touched the single-player mode because TruckersMP is where the real fun is for me personally. The experience of driving with real people, the thrill of chaotic traffic, convoy events with fellow VTC members, and the unpredictable moments on the road makes every drive feel unique.
In TruckersMP, there’s an undeniable thrill in driving in convoys with friends, attending events, or simply seeing other truckers honk and wave (o//) as you pass by. But, let’s be honest, the real fun comes when things get a little chaotic.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 is one of those rare games that manages to turn something seemingly mundane into a highly addictive experience. And with the TruckersMP aspect, the game becomes a whole new type of fun.
truck do flips and speeds around roads in the wrong direction ( also dont do a u tern after missing the gass station at 60 mph as your friend does 50 mph down that gass station road that your going up as you will have 50% broken truck and will fly across the moterway and land on the other side and then have to drive for a extra 2 miles just to get back on to that roadd) but other ways very good :)

In my opinion, Euro Truck simulator isn't my best game. The game looks bland and a smaller scale of Europe. There aren't enough varieties of towns or city unless you download ProMods, which requires me to pay for every DLC. There isn't enough detail that i would be interested to look at. Honestly, if you are a person who like slow, long truck journeys, this is the game for you. It would have been better if more towns in each country, even more countries added to the game without paying for DLC's. Its not too bad but it isn't the best game.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a surprisingly relaxing game. It’s perfect for when you want to just chill and enjoy some long drives. The map is massive, but the pace might feel slow for some.
Very fun game. The idea of it just wants you to play more and more and just grind. Would 100% recommend.
Surprisingly addictive! Customisable settings also allow you to control the difficulty (brake sensitivity, rain, frequency of diversions etc.), the scenery is absolutely beautiful, and the actual driving can be very relaxing
good game but need more stuff like adding cars or van like for short destination or for your comapny i think it would make game so much better
Please update the engine... I have a brand new M3 Macbook Air and I cant, for the love of God, find a graphic settings to run smooth.
Also after buying the cargo pack and a Volvo FH tuning pack the game became unplayable and I had to ask for a refund. I would like to buy some map extensions too, but am really afraid of more performance drops.
Hard to invest more in this game with these problems... :-( the game would be sooo awesome if it had a better performing engine.
great game. amazing gameplay (some trips a little too long) could play for hours on end. really huge map with every country and every city being presented in a different way. the trucks are extremely customisable with lots of trucks to choose from. and for a 11 year old game, it looks really nice.

Ok, i can officially say this is the best game that i ever bought.
First of all, the graphics. The graphics might not be the best, but its pretty good.
Second of all, the systems. Theres now a whole driving academy system, and alot of cargo systems.
Third of all, the mods. You can literally get alot of mods. From the workshop, or even from youtube. The mods just make the game look better and feel so much alive. I really love of the fact that this game have options for modes. You can go for the good ol' simple wasd, or you can go to the much realistic mode. This game has alot of beautiful scenery. This game is simply one of the best trucking simulator there is.
Enough of the description, heres the goods and bads
GOODS:
- Realistic scenery
- Very accurate map
- Simple mechanics
- Alot of mods
BADS:
- the ai cars are dumb as hell
Anyways, sorry for the short goods and bads. Please buy this game if you have the money. Simply one of the best games there are.
