The game itself is just so dang fun in general and its so fun to drive aropund delivering things and it gets even more fun once we can play with freinds

Super fun and addicting game. will literally spend all your free time dedicated to this game.
You can have a true sim exerience, with full weather, roadworks, full manual transmission, the lot. You can also customise through settings and mods to have it on easy mode. Dealer's choice. Definitely worth the money, especially if you grab it on sale like I did.
Its a lovely game to play if you like driving around and exploring, cant rate it even, great game

Amazing driving game. It will help you understand more about how truckers drive and why they do what they do. Give you the true feeling and insight of being a long haul truckers.
there are some things i wish it did like with other trucking games. like actually having to get out of the truck to connect the trailers and everything. Would love the idea of getting out to pump the gas as well as having a hunger bar and needing to get out and get food. I know Alaskan Road trucker does that so should be to hard to have it on this one.
But this one has better driving mechanics and control. Could be perfect though with the other added things. I could play this game for hours and not get bored.

It is a nice game to indulge yourself in the world of trucking but even buying the game seems like you are playing beta version as almost 70% of the game is behind a DLC paywall.
You will get bored after some time and eventually have to spend even more on DLCs for a better experience
I cannot count the number of times i've had other drivers (every vehicle style including tractor-trailer) change lanes right in front of me or even when I'm beside and drive into me, causing an accident and it somehow being my fault even though I'm solidly in that lane. The realism is incredible. It's so much like driving in real life I sometimes get the urge to ram through every vehicle on the road. Higly recommended (the game, not ramming people off real roads)

I really love this game. I love how realalistic the towns/cities are and the highways even have spots where there are accidents/road work. I think it is a little difficult to get your truck going after a complete stop though.

I'm currently getting a CDL and have had some real-world hands-on experience driving these vehicles, both automatics and straight-gear. This game legitimately helped me learn backing and making tight turns as well as feel more comfortable in the cab. The game is surprisingly very fun and you really do feel like you're cruising down a real highway. It's the best sim game I've ever played in terms of immersion and handling.
It's a good game I only play on steamdeck but still it's solid since I play on steamdeck idk how to start the engine tho so that sucks still a good game tho
AI can be frustrating but in general, it's a calm relaxing game, good to experience what driving a truck is like

A very easy recommend. There's nothing more relaxing than driving long-haul journeys, listening to the radio, and drinking coffee from a 52 oz Buc-ees travel mug to really set the tone. The State DLCs are a must, and the Job DLCs are worth picking up if you're big into the game. I never expected myself to enjoy either Truck Simulator game, yet find myself digging out the steering wheel to drive hours into the night. Lovely stuff.
Fun and realistic trucking game with nice graphics, smooth driving and customizable trucks. The world has plenty to explore. If you’re into sims, it’s definitely worth checking out!
This is a really fun Truck driver sim I love going from one place to another in the United States of America this game is a great way to not just see what it's like to be a truck driver and run your own trucking company, but you also get to see places around America from states like Texas to New Mexico plus other states like Washington state I heavily recommend playing this game on both a desktop PC and the Steam Deck Oled.
I do not recommend this game at all. It has nothing but caused me trouble with changing settings on my pc. Every time I try and mapping some buttons such as control for the radio it changes my settings in windows and now have to use my button box to work the volume, even when not in game. This is not the first time mapping buttons messed things up. I’m now having to reset my computer in order to be able to use all my buttons on my box now.
This game id one of the BEST games for semi traffic in america because some game and maybe MOST games might not have heavy truck traffic but i'm down for this game but there are more stuff for them to add like police chases and random events and more variety of trucks like make public lobby's 30 players or even 100 PLAYERS and the game can be a roleplay game because it has the potential. overall this game is a GREAT GAME
This game is absolutely bonkers. It's very well designed and it practically photo realistic. I would highly recommend getting this game because it is just so addictive. Just got it 3 days ago and already have 21 hours.
it's a realistic trucking game and I would get the map DLCs to get a larger map because I dislike how CA (California) is a 55 MPH state and it's a big part of the map and most jobs has CA involved with it so I would get the map DLCs but other then California being a 55 MPH state the game is amazing to play.
RATING: 9/10 game
The game is fun and definitely well designed. The one issue I have with it is cost. At the end of the day it is a truck driving sim. Cool, that's a great game a lot of people would be interested in, but it's not an epic blockbuster title you're going to enthusiastically dump thousands of hours into.
And yet, at the time of this review, the cost for access to the full map (and just the map, none of the truck packs or any other DLC) is $175. For a now 9 year old game. And that doesn't include the $20 for the base game. I'm sorry but the publisher has turned this game into a delivery mechanism for DLC shovelware and I am just not engaging with that at the price point. Raise the price to a AAA title price of $60 and give all the current DLC as part of that and I would definitely recommend the game. But there is no world in which the vast majority of people built/bought a PC gaming setup to then spend another $200 on a truck driving game.
This one of my top 2 games I play to relax my mind and body. Game is so good I built a baby pc build (optiplex 7010) just to run this game. Used to play it on my Xbox series x through web browser with Steam + GeForce with free tier. Now I can play for hours on end. Showed it to my sister that drive trucks & hasn't played video games since like Nintendo 64 days & even she was impressed at the level of details & stuff. 10/10 should buy. Worth it for full price but you can get it on sale for cheap also.

now I play this game I almost know all trucks Like Kenworth Mack And a lot more also try out ETS2 That's also fun check out America in a simulator in trucks you can also do jobs or you can just drive around freely there's also a demo version for free but you can't do multiplayer TurckerMP is fun download world of trucks and try it out you can change licence plates and so you can look like people that just customise your licence plate I'm still wondering if you can do the demo version in TruckerMP [TurckerMP is a different app that you have to download]

Unfortunately, I find that the game tends to lose its appeal after a short while. I can usually engage with it for about an hour before I start to feel bored. Realistically, I can only drive around for a limited period before I feel the need to switch things up and try something different.

Fun casual game, but the dlcs for other stated are way too expensive. They could at least lower the price of the old dlcs from 8 years ago x.x.

Same as Euro Truck Simulator 2 (I recommend Euro Truck Simulator as well), there's nothing like a relaxing drive across multiple states, either delivering cargo, or transporting passengers with bus mods, or just driving with car mods.
The scenery between the two games (well, we ARE talking about Europe and USA here) are totally different, but are both beautiful! Which is why if you get one, I suggest you get the other.

While I do not have THAT many hours in this game, nor am I that good at it.
This is some of the most relaxing time I've spent playing a game, And the DLC is MORE than reasonably priced during sales.
The modding is also rather open and fun
I actually love playing this game. To me, its very relaxing. I enjoy the scenery as I travel though the states that I have downloaded as DLCs. I would LOVE to see New England added to your Map. From the tip of Main to the southern part of Florida even as far down as the Island Keys where we would have to take a ferry to continue the process of deliveries. Alaska and Hawaii would be nice too to have on my list. I will keep following you all as you progress to extend this wonderful engaging game. But yes, PLEASE start making the roads for New England. I would really love to see how you make my home state and to see if I can travel down some roots of my old stomping grounds. LOL.
This game is relaxing and makes me sleepy. I ended up hitting a side of the road several times. It runs on Linux, and with reduced settings, it works well on an Intel Iris Plus graphics card, a lower-tier GPU.
I have really enjoyed the game for all it is and has. Great game. However, I'd like to see some military vehicles added for cargo missions and some military trucks to hall that cargo if possible.
over the last couple of days that i have played american truck simulator, its been a amazing expirens with the map been massive an all states are different. I really like how you could start your on company an hire a bunch of drivers to do work for you . an you can use your own stuff to do job. HIGHLY RECOMMEND BUYING

Very fun game to play and fun to play with friends.
Once you start American Truck Simulator, there's no going back—literally, I haven’t seen grass in so long I forgot what it feels like. This game is dangerously addictive. One minute you’re hauling logs through Oregon, and the next, it’s 3 AM, and you’re debating whether to splurge on a fancier truck just to look cool delivering potatoes. The peaceful drives, realistic scenery, and oddly satisfying turn signals have me hooked. I love this game, but someone, please remind me what fresh air smells like. 10/10, would trade my social life for another delivery!
Might be dated, but they keep updating it at least. Great game when you play it via TruckersMP.
