The devs put out an update in November that broke the game, then moved on to Contractors Showdown: ExfilZone (after also abandoning Contractors Showdown Battle Royale.). They have been radio silent on the issue since then.
I cannot recommend this game at all.
Used to be my favorite VR game to play with amazing mod support, now I can't even play anything modded because the devs screwed the game up so bad chasing the money and greed by making two other games before finishing this one.
Do not buy this game, nor any other game these devs make. The devs have effectively killed it and the liklihood of it making any sort of comeback is hilariously unrealistic.
the game is ok, the loadout system is a little overwhelming because of how many weapons are in the game and the offline modes have bot players that are WAY too bullet spongey, but i do like the realistic weapons and the large modding community
good not serious vr shooter. a lot of other fps vr games get sweaty so if you wanna avoid that this is a good one. has mod support built into the game. has a lot of game modes to play too.
Not gonna lie, bought it to play CoD zombies.
Great Game
The game is actually super well made, and gun play just makes sense, and the mod support seen here is just great I really cant complain, from playing Black Ops Zombies, Vietnam Simulator, to playing a Star Wars mod, its just really good. Is the games graphics not that goods?? Probably not the best they can be, but its a small price to pay, because the game is also made to play on stand alone Quest, and that helps the player count of the game.

great game! great dynamics. smooth play and fun! sometimes reloading the weapons is a little tricky .. so far I only played single palyer or with bots and not online as I am not ready for the "brutality" of "Online" ;-p
Pretty chill game honestly, and don't expect to be playing vanilla either. Have you ever wanted to play Call of Duty in VR? Well, this is 100% your game. The gunplay feels like what CoD has but.. well, in VR.
PS: Don't listen to the recommended specs to run this game, I still get weird stutters even on the RTX 2080 and Med/High settings. You're going to need to tinker with the settings to get the game to perform reliably.. or this could just be my poor CPU/GPU combination
The newest update breaks the entire game. NOT RECOMENDED UNTIL THEY FIX THE GAME. (The game is good but I cant recomend this game that wont even open anymore)
Keep getting fatal errors when i start up the game, I tried contacting support, and they didn't reply to me.
I enjoy this a lot more than Pavlov, especially for the miles better mod support. It's really great for its mods, I've hardly touched the main game. It's still decent (for you pirates out there, still heavily recommend buying), if you want to pick it up. New update has brought some issues and I've had to verify my files quite a few times to get past random Fatal Errors with zero explanation, but besides that I've been having fun.
Game just doesn't work. I can load into the main lobby, but every time a match starts it kicks me out and sends me back to the lobby. Literally unplayable.

Y'all killed the game by adding EAC. It broke a ton of mods and sometimes the game won't even start. Why bother fucking with a game that was perfect just a month ago?
Great gunplay, visuals, modding, and movement; I highly recommend getting this game if you have VR.

Best shooter with mods right here, I have over a hundred hours on the quest version. Star Wars Battlefront; here and rad. Team Fortress? There's a mod for that too. Halo? We got a few mods for that one. There's a pretty neat Warhammer 40k mod as well. But enough about mods, there will be plenty of surprises there. I know a lot of recent reviews say it doesn't run so good since the latest update, but having bought the Steam version after the latest update, I can say that although I have occasional crashes, it isn't frequent enough to warrant a negative review, I use virtual to desktop and it honestly only seems to happen if i switch out of steamvr back to desktop when launching. But out of all the shooters on our growing VR platform, I would easily say this is the one that deserves your time, I've put in dozens of hours before getting the steam version, this is probably my 3rd or 4th time buying it overall lol. Don't really remember what they're charging since I'm writing this from my library but if you value a very customizable online VR shooter experience, this is certainly your best option. This game ALWAYS has a couple of full servers too, so it's not dead like many pvp experiences in this market. See you on the battlefront soldier!
this anti cheat and update shit makes my game crash on open
I loved this game when I first had it. Absolutely amazing. But after the recent update I can't even play it. I have done every step of troubleshooting I can find online and still nothing. I have a quest 3 and a computer with specs well above the recommended. The game pretends to load up and crashes with a fatal error every time. I really hope they fix this soon.
Contractors was a game i went to because where onward and pavlov failed they were better at, contractors had the best modding support and comunty its the only reason i would get on the game, and now with their latest update thats all taken away, Easy anti cheat for legit no reason, then every mod i have now crashes my game. crashes then it doesnt recover so i cant even play the new crappy update if i wanted to.

ever since the mobilized update got released. I can no longer play this game, the game used to load in a minute or two, now it doesn't even bother like I'll be sitting there for almost 10 straight minutes as my quest decides to kill itself slowly eating away at battery, the game used to run so much more smoother, now it runs really poor, stop focusing on your crappy Battle Royale with aim assist and fix this crap. (note before the mobilize update I was playing this game just fine I had no performance issues no loading problems everything was peachy)
mods, tf2, SW, COD(Z), rush, large scale groundwar basically this and pavlov are the must have shooters
Game crashes on startup on quest 3
This was a great VR game, but the new mobilize update has ruined it. Now, the game crashes during the anti-cheat initialisation, failing with the error message: "UE4_22 Game has crashed. Fatal error!". I wonder when the next update will be...

Really good base content and tons of community content. This game's physics, movement, motion tracking, and general performance are so good. It makes the community content even better. You could probably get some star wars blasters in Pavlov somehow, but it's less likely to a lot rougher compared to what you get here.
This game really relies on mods, but I love the mechanics. Melee is cool too.
Feels like a cheap Chinese VR port. The zombies mode sucks, the gunplay is mediocre at best, and the toolbelt for weapons and ammo drives me nuts.
I just purchased this not so long ago. And now I can’t use it. When launching get a fatal error either using steamlink or virtual desktop on quest 3. Sad ….. paid and can’t even play it or get a refund
New mobilize update and the introduction of the 'anti cheat' system bricked my game with a error 30004 initialization timeout so now a once perfectly functioning game is essentially useless. not cool...
Pretty solid game, better then onward and pavlov in my opinion. Only bad parts for me is the load times are awful and the zombies game mode is a joke

The AI/NPCs need a lot of re working, regardless of difficulty they know where you are in campagin and mutiplayer BOTS/NPCs. Doesn't feel real at all having tons of BOTs know exactly where you are. However mulitplayer and zombies works okay online, occasionally you won't be able to join or a friend will get left behind and you'll have to back out and have someone different be the host. If it initializes at all.

this is a very fun and fast paced game. you have to keep your eyes open at all times or else your dead fast.
Region lock china, EU servers full of them cheating on the base game modes, They rarely join modded servers so keep yourself on the modded servers. Jumping around with the sniper and hitting headshots like its nothing, you ain't fooling anyone with "skill issue" so don't bother.
Go buy vail vr over this garbage until they do something to get rid of the cheaters.
No unlocks, no progression that is noteworthy. Good for some mindless fun. This game is unplayable due to cheaters in EU servers and they always come from china with 200+ ping.
if you have 180+ ping you should not be able to join said servers in the first place. 180 ping limit would fix this issue and if the devs fix it I will change this to a positive.
Pretty much Call of Duty in VR. This game RULES.
The game plays decent, but it gets pretty repetitive. The standard loadout gets boring quickly, and so do modded loadouts since most people just stick to the Star Wars and GSAC mods. I would recommend this game if the community were more open to playing new modes and trying new things out. Unfortunately, you'll be lucky to find a lobby with 6 people that are playing some niche pistols-only mode.
But my biggest gripe of all is that they made an entirely separate game that also costs money to introduce their new battle royale mode. The battle royale game itself isn't bad, it's actually quite a bit more polished than this one. That's where I have an issue, they introduce practically the same game with a different flavor and charge extra for it. Meanwhile, the players of this game have to watch the other one get actual content updates like mag palming, while the most we get is a slight modkit update within about 2 months.
Overall, this game is okay. I would recommend it if it were free and if the community were more open to exploring different modes. Unfortunately, neither is the case.

If you have ever wanted to play literally any FPS game in VR but this now, its not just a COD shooter its got Halo, Tarkov, TF2, WW2, 1800 weapons and Titan fall. but if you do love COD look no further. its got MW2 (classic), MW, BO1,2,3 and even the old BO1 Zombies with the voice lines and everything! it really is a jack of all trades VR shooter!
get this if you want to have a really good time!
Really only worth it for the mods. Zombies and 8v8 pvp on cods best maps is crack, but if you ignore the community content then this is one of the last vr shooters i'd recommend.

bought it for the amazing modding community and especially the CoDz community, even in multiplayer vr shooter people sweat
great fast paced shooter with a simple mod menu and lots of content to keep things fresh. Controls and guns feel good and immersive.
