With only a few hours into the game so far, im starting to become more addicted to this game. havent felt that way about any game for a long time
It's A okish game just a cringe and bad community IMV, after so many hours playing Arma 3 mainly (S.O.G. Prairie Fire "DLC") the gameplay is dated & the story is ok, my issue is how Bohemia Interactive handles the game, also alot of the servers a dead there is only handful of servers that work.
Arma 3 is a very unique military combat game! The wide variety of different weapons to choose from including vehicles is amazing too! My favorite servers to play on here are King Of The Hill. I recommend this game to be purchased!

If you are looking for a game that allows you to act like any military group or recreate any military operation, you have just found the game. It also comes with brand new laws of physics.
get mods makes the game so much better but still is just die in one bullet no matter what for the most part and alot of stuff is dlc only so if you buy this you may what to get the dlcs

A great game with tons of content you can get lost in. Sadly the engine is a bit old and the controls aren't the best. Walking and driving is clunky. They could update it like they did in Dayz...
Yes is the game out of date but lord you wont find another game like this and funny and Cool memories with your friends yes old physics but that just adds to the challenge Arma 4 better be just like this full modding freedom and great gameplay fully recommend but DLC are worth on sale not at full price anymore yes they add a lot of finished content to the game but it is getting to become a Old game CPU intensive
War simulator good community with tons of mods its a great game
The perfect game for simulating war-type battles that range from simple infantry fights to vehicle warfare, not to mention it has its own mod workshop that allows you to download a wide range of mods from different era's that range from WW1 to the Cold War to modren day wars. i would recommend buying it.

yes very good game better than arma reforger in every except gunplay movement and graphics imo dlcs are somewhat required to get the full experience however the base vanilla game has plenty of content to play around with until you decide wether or not you want to buy some dlcs
Has mods where it's basically Far Cry on steroids. Example- playing one (called Antistasi) where it sticks you on a map (MANY to chose from) loaded with towns, bases, etc, and you slowly build a resistance force to fight against an invading army. You can pick the rebels, the enemy army, the location.... and you gradually build collect weapons, vehicles, armor, aircraft, money and an army. So far I've managed to sneak into a few towns, steal some stuff, and get many of my people killed by the local police (didn't even last until the military reinforcements showed up). And it's been freaking amazing.
There are over a decade of mods and there are so many good ones. The base game is supposedly awesome but there is a chance I may never get to it. Also an amazing community.
Even though this game came out in 2013, It still has to be the most customizable, immersive, and fun milsim game on the market. It does have some random jankness that can be funny and annoying, such as rare vehicle collision bugs that send your vehicle to outer space, but I personally still love it for all its other features. You can play the base game factions that are set in the year 2035 or you can download workshop mods to play with factions from various different eras such as: WW1, WW2, Vietnam, Cold War, Asian Flashpoint, Civil War(I think), Zombies, Special Zombies, Halo, Star Wars, and many other factions to choose from.
You can join multiplayer lobbies that are vanilla or modded. Or you can play base game or modded scenerios/missions from the workshop solo or with some friends on a locally hosted server (Such as your own PC) (kinda like a minecraft world for free)
Over all this has to be my personal #1 game that I come back to time and time again. I love this game and I can't wait to see what Arma 4 will bring us. I hope it lives up to the Arma 3 standards and beyond.
The ultimate ptsd simulator with tons of mods. You can fight demons and zombies with master chief.
A great, hardcore, tactical shooter for anyone who wants an authentic and challenging experience. I really enjoy the planes and helicopters in this game. Don't expect action like Battlefield or Call of Duty. If you do want that though, the game has a great editor and a great modding scene.
Bought this during the sale, booted up and asked my friends to play.
10/10 would recommend and it shows how I have ZERO knowledge on wtf is going on around me and my friends, I have skill issue but the game is a solid experience and we enjoy it as much as we tend to fail on some missions but we get the job done, until one of our new guys run us over with an MWrap.
Need friend to play this and a good server friendly and enemy positions and sizes to set up game before you play. There are already prepared mods and settings too.
I love military games, especially complicated ones where you have to learn to actually work with your teammates. But, although this game can be fun, it is probably the worst military game I've played. When I first got the game, I was excited to fly a helicopter, a plane, maybe even a tank. But, no, you have to buy a million different addons just to receive small items. It is a fun game, just not worth buying if you can't get most of what the game has to offer.
It's very fun, I enjoy the realism and the gunplay infantry-wise, and the modability of the game is incredible but the vehicles have a habit of ARMAing you, and ever since downloading this game I smell bad and people avoid me
Game is really fun especially with friends...only downside is you cant get more than 30 FPS when theres more than 15 people in a server....

I've been wanting to play ArmA 3 since it came out, but never owned a PC so was fresh out of luck. This plays really well, I've got an M2 MacBook Air and it runs really well with only a tiny bit of optimisation (I'm no tech head, but I got it running really, really easy with no mods or anything. Love the gameplay, it's exactly what I've been looking for in a realistic military sim. Cannot recommend enough especially for Mac owners who're nervous about whether it works or not.
Walking Simulator 3.0 goes hard. Don't worry about flipping that table over. you'll need it for all the energy drinks you'll need while walking across the map for hours and hours.
One of the most realistic games i have ever played, shoot what am i saying it its the THE MOST REALISTIC!!!!! You can mod anything you want to have whatever experience you want. I LOVE THIS GAME!!! wIsh i knew about waaaaaaay before i foound it.
Constant issues with battle eye has made the game unplayable. Every single time I go to play it asks me to restart because of battle eye about 500 times. dogshit.

The ability to choose any mode you want at title screen and take the game at your own pace is very refreshing. My favorite mode being Eden Editor where you can go into any of the available maps and choose any character or vehicle you want and mess around with the sandbox at your disposal. Arma also offers an in depth tutorial as since this is a mil-sim game I'd highly recommend checking out. Amazing Game Bohemia!
Got the game a while back, got mad at it, came back after being in the army and now use it to treat my stockholm syndrome 9.5/10 needs more portajohn art.

I've played since 2015 and this game lets you do basically anything you want from ww1, ww2, Vietnam, modern day, halo, star wars, war hammer you name it's got it. Highly recommend for anyone who looking for a sandbox war game that can be semi realistic to quite near mil sim.
The realism is better than I expected and it really feels like a combat simulator. Only four hours in and I'm in love.
incredibly hard to join a server because you have to install hundreds of Gb of mods and then it has weird glitches that dont let you join
This game has so much potential but for whatever reason, the developers made it so needlessly convoluted and confusing that it's honestly unplayable. Prepare to be frustrated beyond where you thought you could go. Every single small action takes nine thousand key combinations so you will never know how to do anything. Even the campaign is so infuriatingly hard, not because of actual difficulty, but because the controls are so horribly bad and everything is explained in the least helpful way possible. I wanted to like this game, but it literally is the worst game I've ever played in my life.
1,700+ hours in, and I still can't tell if I'm playing a military simulator or a "how to get lost in the forest for 3 hours" simulator.

⚠️ Flight School (Arma edition): If you think flying a jet is easy, Arma 3 will correct your delusions within 15 seconds of takeoff.
⚠️ Driving Physics™: If you see a slight bump in the terrain, your vehicle is about to perform an Olympic-level gymnastics routine.
⚠️ The AI experience: Enemies will spot you from 800 meters away through thick fog but somehow can’t hear your squadmate yelling in the middle of an ambush.

This is not a game, it is a military grade stress simulator. 2,212 hours of pretending to run 10km, only to get shot by Dimitri hiding in a bush after getting lost using a map I can’t read. On top of that, I've crashed helicopters, failed missions, and died to friendly artillery and cas more times than I can remember. Worth every second.
This isn't exactly a video game. This is a military simulator. Find a unit and play with them, it makes this game miles better than it is alone.
