Enjoyable and accessible platformer with a great difficulty curve. Meow
I kinda forgot about this game but that was a mistake.
Great level design and invincibility if you are having difficulty. XD
Its a beatiful game, certainly, but while most review says YES, i say NO, you may ask, why ?! cause most of the review don't even played the game through the first act, and i must say, the game was quite fun until late ACT 4, when the game demands you to make pixel/frame perfect moves, so it becomes frustrating and unfair.

Gioco semplice ma molto carino e ben congegnato.
Grafica in pixel art graziosa come ottime sono le animazioni del micio, effetti sonori piacevoli come la musica di sottofondo, la giocabilità risulta immediata, con il solo comando azione richiesto dato che il nostro felino avanza zampettando senza bisogno di input, ma al contempo il livello di sfida è abbastanza impegnativo se si vuole ottenere il massimo grado di completamento visto che dopotutto si tratta di un platform di precisione.
Per quel che riguarda la longevità c'è da dire che io per ora sono alla prima zona ma da quello che ho capito il titolo consta di cinque zone suddivise in svariati stage, nonché offre sezioni segrete.
Anche la rigiocabilità è un fattore positivo del titolo visto che si può tranquillamente usufruire del gioco in brevi sessioni ma come anticipato prima per completare le "stelle" di ogni livello si può ripetere lo stesso una volta sbloccato.
Le suddette stelle sono tre per livello e riguardano: Tempo di arrivo al traguardo, la cui stella viene assegnata se sotto al limite previsto; collezione di tutto il cibo felino; e infine semplicemente il completamento del livello. Un ulteriore ricompensa è poi l'ottenimento delle tre stelle in un singolo tentativo.
In definitiva io consiglio vivamente il gioco a tutti gli amanti di titoli di piattaforme che richiedono precisione e un minimo di dedizione e perseveranza.

Simple but very nice and well thought out game.
Graceful pixel art graphics as excellent are the animation of the cat, pleasant sound effects such as background music, the gameplay is immediate, with only the action command required as our feline walks forward without the need for input, but at the same time the level defiance is quite challenging if you want to get the maximum degree of completion since it is a precision platformer after all.
As for the longevity it must be said that for now I am in the first area but from what I understand the title consists of five areas divided into various stages, as well as offers secret sections.
Replayability is also a positive factor of the title since you can easily use the game in short sessions but as anticipated before to complete the "stars" of each level you can repeat the same once unlocked.
The aforementioned stars are three per level and concern: Time of arrival at the finish line, whose star is assigned if it is below the limit; collection of all feline food; and finally simply completing the level. An additional reward is then obtaining the three stars in a single attempt.
Ultimately I highly recommend the game to all lovers of platform titles that require precision and a minimum of dedication and perseverance.
I played this at Insomnia in the past and have had it on my wishlist ever since - but I'm so glad I picked it up! It's an adorable little platformer with a fun 1 button mechanic

Bubbles the Cat is a super cute, fun and challenging platformer - 100% recommend!
The one-button platforming mechanics are really tight and well designed - it feels super responsive. This mechanic is easy to learn, but hard to master - evidenced when you reach the later levels and the challenge requires real accuracy, timing and determination!
Bubbles is super addictive, and I often find myself thinking "just one more go" when I'm trying to get all 3 stars for a level. The harder levels can feel frustrating - but that good kind of frustrating where once you finally beat the level you feel super accomplished and happy!
The artwork and music are lovely too - each world feels rich and colourful, with their own distinct design and tunes. You can definitely feel how much care and thought was put into this game :)
Overall, I 100% recommend this game! I think platforming fans, completionists and speedrunners would enjoy this game - pick it up!!
An incredibly well designed and utterly compulsive platformer, which can genuinely cater to beginners and experts alike. With accessibility options to reduce the difficulty of the game and an initially shallow difficulty curve, anyone could pick up and play. At the same time, the skill ceiling required to 100% all the 100+ levels is unbelievably high. Clearing a level within the par time whilst collecting all tokens requires perfect timing, a strong understanding of the mechanics and lots of perseverance.
There's clever use of power ups and level mechanics to keep the action varied from one stage to the next, with levels often having a clear gameplay theme. New ideas are introduced regularly to keep you on your toes.
Also worth mentioning that the music is super catchy as well!
This is genuinely the best one-button platformer I've ever played.
The game looks deceptively cute and simple, but the controls are extremely well tuned, and the level design is excellent.
It's accessible for most players, but the optional challenges mean that there is plenty of challenge here for any gamer.
It has that great, addictive "just one more go" quality, but remains fair rather than overly frustrating.

Calling all platformer fans and cat lovers
Bubbles the Cat, the debut game from Team Cats & Bears, is a single-button action platformer with the right amount of difficulty (not too easy and not too hard), clever level design, short levels and a smooth learning curve. There are 125 levels to play, divided in six worlds (five regular worlds and an extra hardcore world), unlockables and a pleasant soundtrack.
Rewarding gameplay
Most levels can be easily finished if you just want to rush to the exit, but the real challenge lies in completing each level with all cat food collected and in sub-par time, in a single run. The cat moves by himself and the only input needed is the jump button, but don’t be fooled – the game demands the right timing for jumps and there are a lot of power-ups that spice up the gameplay and are essential for beating levels. Each power-up grants you a new ability, from jumping higher to creating a small wall that will be needed to reach higher places, and much more. This game rewards curiosity, considering that you will need to explore a lot to find secret areas that contains more collectables; and creativity, as there’s usually more than one solution to 100% a level.
Presentation and usability
Bubbles the Cat has very charming graphics, a great soundtrack, an intuitive interface, rebindable controls, Steam Cloud and full controller support. While I absolutely love this game’s crunchy pixels, the amount of detail makes some worlds a bit hard to read. What I mean is: some scenarios are too distracting, and certainly will cost you some lives until you’re familiar with them. In the end, this is not a huge issue, though, but sometimes less is more.
Worth it?
I’m having fun with Bubbles the Cat, and it’s certainly a great title to play in short bursts. I can fully recommend it full price if want to complete each goal every level (by finishing it in sub-par time and collecting all cat food), but if you just want to finish the game as quick as possible, wait for a sale. After all, you’ll get more from this game if you replay each level while trying to get all collectables and beating it in sub-par time.

Great game that I am very glad to have played. It's engaging and tough and helps you get your mind off the madness for a while.
Bubbles is great! Don't be fooled by the cute cats - whilst this game is easy to learn, it's genuinely difficult to master. There are a tonne of levels offering new and interesting challenges, and plenty of secret routes to discover. Really enjoying it :)
This is a game you can simply pick up and play. Both me & my 6 year old daughter have enjoyed playing it (when she lets me). It's challenging in a way that it keeps you addicted to wanting to play it.
The graphics remind me of when I first started playing games and it felt just as good as when it did back then. The controls are so simple too, one button to control Bubbles - which is nice to have a game with little complexity in the controls these days.
When I asked my daughter what she thought, her words were "It's awesome". Not much more to say that that!
This is one button platforming at its best: easy to pick up but a real tough one to master! If you're like me, you have to get all 3 stars before moving on. It does get pretty nails but it's perfectly enjoyable without having to 100% it.
I'm looking forward to seeing speed runners get their hands on it and showing off their complete playthru times that I will never have a hope of achieving.
Also, Bubbles is just so damn KEWT!
Bubbles the Cat is one of the cutest platformers I've had the pleasure to try.
Levels are quite short, rarely exceeding 1 minute in length, but they can be trickier than expected.
Very easy to learn, hard to master you can recognise the cleverness in some levels' design.
Challenging, yet not frustrating, you'll adore the music and the cute little meows that will keep you company during the whole adventure.
Also if you're not really a cat person you can put on a shiba or husky cap and pretend to be playing as Bubbles the Dog.
Simple and pure gameplay, solid platforming mechanics and responsive controls. It's definitely got that 'just one more go' factor, especially if you're a completionist and are determined to 3-star a level before moving on!
Features one-button controls, but that it certainly doesn't mean it's easy... you'll be needing some purr-fect timing to guide Bubbles through increasingly hazard-filled levels, and new power-ups add variety as you progress through the game.
After playing the first 4 levels of World X, it's clear that there's quite a challenge ahead...
Bubbles is a near purrfect 8-bit platformer (if you're a fan of hardcore platfromers with cats). There's plenty of great content and some really intuitive and imaginative bubble mechanics which makes this game a really slick experience. It's a hard game to put down with a really solid difficulty curve with a range of great platforming challenges. The bonus stars and the hardcore world X will keep you coming back for more. I'm also a fan of the customisable cats and cat hats which have been included, super cute! Highly recommended!!
A strangely addictive game. It seems quite easy at first but if you're determined to get 3 stars for each level (like I am) then it soon gets tricky! The simple controls make it easy to play, but not so much to master! The power ups add another dimension to the seemingly simple controls.
The game feels like a platform but has elements of puzzle as you're effectively trying to achieve your goals against the clock: thus having to plan out the quickest route while having the skills to pull it off.
Great fun and well worth a fiver!
Love the art style. A bit tricky but not too difficult and definitely has the 'just one more go' factor.
Really nice ideas and mechanics, and plenty to do.
Very accessible with minimal reading and one-button gameplay.
