I enjoyed this game but I am reluctant to get into it again as it feels overwhelming with its content combined with it's simplicity
Best bang for your buck out there, this game is so cheap (especially if you get the 4-pack) it's almost criminal. This game is the most fun I've had in a survival crafting game that lets you build whatever you want, house NPCs inhumanely, and go from average Joe to a god-killer using a plethora of weapons, armours, and equipments allowing you to specialize in 1 of 4 classes. Also super easy to mod using tModLoader on Steam for free for when you want to experience even more than vanilla Terraria has to offer.
Solo this game is meh multiplayer this is the best game ever but I don't have anyone to play it with :(. Release 1.4.5 please.
I don't think anyone actually dislikes this game. All the negative reviews say one of the following:
Angler
Moss hornet
Rolling cactus
I can't have gay sex with the merchant
Angler
Cave bat
Spiked jungle slime
Jungle bat
I can't have sex with the nurse
Angler
Jungle slime
Game needs a sex update
Oh wait I forgot to mention the Angler
Terraria: Where chaos meets creativity
Review:
After 1,100 hours of digging, building, and dying to bats (seriously, what's their problem!?), I’ve concluded Terraria is less a game and more a chaotic simulation of “How many ridiculous ways can I die before punching the Moon Lord in the face?”
Here are some profound life lessons I’ve learned from this 2D masterpiece of joy, rage, and suffering:
1. Your journey begins with a wooden sword and ends with you punching the literal moon. The progression? Less ladder, more slingshot directly into your worst nightmares.
2. NPCs are helpful—as long as you don’t mind them living in lava and charging full price for bombs while you’re on fire.
3. “Hardmode” is just Terraria’s way of saying, “Oh, you thought this was difficult? Hold my beer.”
4. The Moon Lord isn’t the final boss. No, the real endgame is trying to build a house that isn’t an architectural crime scene while your friends throw explosive bunnies everywhere.
5. Fishing is somehow the most peaceful and infuriating activity in the game. I came here to relax, not spend hours looking for a fish that apparently only spawns on its birthday.
Gameplay:
Terraria is what happens when you hand a child a crayon box, tell them, “Go nuts,” and then unleash that chaos upon the world. One minute, you’re building a charming little treehouse. The next, you’re defending your base against an army of goblins determined to turn your peaceful existence into a demolition derby. It’s unpredictable, magical, and borderline terrifying.
Every biome feels like its own twisted little theme park—complete with treasures, traps, and creatures that range from adorable to “Oh god, why does it move like that?!” You’ll be hooked chasing new goals, crafting wild weapons, and discovering creative ways to die (looking at you, dynamite).
Graphics and Sound:
The pixel art is deceptively charming—like a warm hug before a giant worm erupts from the ground to eat you. And the music? It slaps harder than an Eater of Worlds at 3 a.m. The boss themes alone will either send you into a fight-or-flight frenzy or have you Googling “How to survive Skeletron.”
Community:
The Terraria community is a beautiful mix of geniuses, chaos goblins, and meme lords.
Need help figuring out how to survive Hardmode? They’ve got you.
Need memes about the Guide summoning the Wall of Flesh again? Oh, they’ve definitely got you.
Pros:
- An infinite sandbox of fun, frustration, and existential crises
- Boss fights that will test your skills and your will to live
- Building mechanics that let you channel your inner architect—or inner troll
- Fishing. Yes, it’s still a pro. Square up.
Cons:
- Bats. Just... bats.
- Inventory management is a full-time job.
[*] Friends who build dirt houses while you’re busy dodging meteors.
Final Thoughts:
Terraria is the gift that keeps on giving—and occasionally slapping you in the face with a slime. Whether you’re conquering dungeons, accidentally summoning the wrong boss, or trying to organize your 14,000 chests of loot, there’s always something new to love (and rage about).
If you haven’t played it yet, what the heck are you doing? If you have, welcome back. I know you’re here to complain about bats, too.
Rating: 12/10 – “Moon Lord defeated. Still afraid of bats.”
If you're into crafting and building while fighting off hoards (and then slaying bosses in order to get more things to craft and weirder creatures to come after you), this is your game. Don't let the graphics fool you - this is a game full of love from the creators. It's a beast of a game.
this game is so good. I can just play it again and again and again 10/10 and the modding of the game is also easy to use and good really good
The reviews don't lie, the hype is entirely justified, the price is insanely low, and the soundtrack will live rent free in your head. Genuinely get this absolute gem, I've played it for thousands of hours over multiple consoles.
Is the game worth playing?
Yes.
Buy it on sale or full price
Yes.
on a scale of 1 to 10 how fun is it?
Yes.
The final video game review I am now doing in 2024! Here we go, Terraria was overall an amazing way to end off my video game journey in 2024!!!! Thank you Terraria for being an amazing video game! Your still amazing years later! Keep going amazing Terraria! Thanks for being the perfect finale video game for 2024!!!!
Goodbye and farewell Terraria and 2024!!!!!
Fun, creative and fun and quick progression for each small stage, fun little things make the game more enjoyable, like the ability to float, double jump, and even summon mobs. Love it A lot!
I hate the hard mode underground desert, especially if its Crimson
All in all 10/10 game would recommend
Will probably be one of the top 10 survival sandbox games to ever exist until the end of time.
najlepsza gra w którą grałem szczerze polecam !
I've completed a new 80+ hour playthrough of Terraria every year since its inception in 2011, and despite continuing this annual tradition for well over a decade now, the game still remains fun and engaging every single time I play it.
Terraria is truly a labor of love, and it shows.
Really fun game, lots to do, great with friends and it's almost unfair how cheap this game is.
Developers have put a lot of work and love into it and it shows by the reviews and lifespan.
If you haven't picked it up and played it, definitely give it a go.
I've got a lot of great memories with the game and always think about going back and playing it.
Terraria... What can I say about this game? I remember playing it for most of my childhood on the PS3 and man it was, and still is, amazing. If you haven't played this game yet, what are you doing with your life? The music is immaculate and the amount of items in this game is insane.
10/10 recommend it
A great game that is well worth the price. I’d compare it most to Minecraft with it being a sandbox and survival & craft, but 2D-pixel art style and way more content, along with often updates and a strong community.
Fun game and imo I think it's better than minecraft. Great bosses and lots of different gears and builds to try in different playthroughs.
This is a gud game so much content and yea I its very gud I buy it today but I love it

The game is great. The base game itself has tons of content to do, with a lot of replay-ability and collectibles for completionists. The developers are continually developing major patches for the game, even releasing several more completely free patches after their "final update" without charging for any DLC. Even after you've had your fun with vanilla, you can download huge content mods for the game that add a ton of new classes, bosses, items, etc. Would recommend!
This game has so much unique content that can cure your boredom for like idk, infinity. The amount of bosses and enemies you can fight, the amount of things you can build achieve collect is incredible.
I used to always play this on console when I was younger and I recently got it again for christmas, 2024. So many waves of nostalgia. I've played everyday so far since I got it with my brother in our world.
You can build bases, homes .exc and get npc's to move in which I think is great.
The style of the game might not be to everyone's liking but trust me, it builds on you.
For this price, I'm certain it's top 5 best games you can get!
If you want to enjoy a game for hours or days or even years, either by yourself or with freinds, this is a perfect option!
100% recommened, hope this helped! - i would appreciate an award since im broke :D

🌍 Endless Exploration: The world is HUGE and filled with diverse biomes, from lush forests to eerie underworlds. You’ll never run out of places to explore!
🛠️ Crafting Galore: Want to build a castle in the sky or craft the ultimate sword? The crafting system is deep and satisfying, letting your imagination run wild.
⚔️ Epic Boss Battles: Get ready to face off against some seriously bizarre bosses! Each one is a unique challenge that will keep you on your toes.
👥 Multiplayer Fun: Team up with friends for epic adventures or engage in friendly competition. Nothing beats the chaos of building and battling together!
🎨 Charming Aesthetics: The pixel art is adorable, and the soundtrack is catchy. It’s a feast for the eyes and ears!
Cons:
😵 Can Be Overwhelming: With so much to do, it can be a bit daunting for newcomers. But don’t worry, the community is super helpful!
📚 Learning Curve: Some mechanics take time to master, but that just adds to the satisfaction when you finally get it right!
Overall:
Terraria is a delightful blend of adventure, creativity, and fun. Whether you’re digging deep for treasures, building your dream home, or battling epic monsters, there’s never a dull moment. So grab your pickaxe, gather your friends, and dive into this pixelated paradise! You won’t regret it!
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
It's a legendary game with large amounts of content that scales with your play style or difficulty.
Probably one of the most wholesome communities in gaming history, a community that is close with the game devs, since the devs actually listen to them. This game is a 10/10, one of my fav games of all time.
This game is the best. I was playing with some buddies and we had adolf hitler , a bald naked man and an edgy anime protagonist fighting a cute anime waifu butterfly queen with HUGE FUCKING LIGHT LASERS. All that was done while riding a small water boar and firing a candy corn cannon. I DONT THINK I NEED TO EXPLAIN MORE.
This is a very interesting game, when i first played it i was very intrigued. It can have a harder learning curve for some people but the friendly npc guide always helps for tips. Love the style and game play, never had a crash or glitches!!
i used the boomstick irl and it killed someone very near to me, 10/10, adrenaline from the ptsd flashbacks made me better at the game, love ranger, my grandfather said he was a summoner back in the day, don't know how since this game only came out in like 2011 but whatever, he's crazy
This game is full of adventure and there is a ton of excitement around every corner your turn. Although at times it can be challenging, most games that aren't challenging can't give off the same amount of excitement. I highly recommend this to other gamers out there who haven't played this game.
I first pirated terraria with my friend to check it out. The game was and is so good that i had to buy it.
It was good.
It took a long time, but we finished.
We still haven't beaten expert mode though.
I have written a haiku:
A blossoming game
Opportunities await
Darkness be vanquished
-FalconInBleu
If your looking for a 2 dimension retro adventurous game this is for you i have had a lot of fun playing Terraria and i really recommend it to everybody
Terraria is one of the most popular and long—lived indie games that combines elements of sandbox, adventure and survival. Released in 2011, it continues to delight players with regular updates and remains relevant to this day. The game attracts with its open world, deep mechanics and opportunities for creativity, research and battles.
Gameplay and mechanics
In Terraria, players find themselves in a procedurally generated 2D world that can be explored, built and destroyed. The main task is to survive in this world, which is full of resources, monsters, bosses and dungeons. The game does not set strict goals for you, offering complete freedom in what to do and how to do it.
Exploration and Construction: Players can dig, build and create almost anything they can imagine. The process of extracting resources and building bases is the basis of the game. This can be both the creation of small shelters and complex buildings.
Battles and survival: The world of Terraria is full of various enemies — from simple animals to powerful bosses. The battles are quite diverse, there are many types of weapons in the game, including swords, bows, magic staffs and even fireballs. For protection, you can also create armor and upgrade it.
Craft and Progression: The craft system in Terraria plays a key role in the gameplay. Players collect resources, create tools, armor and weapons, improving them over time. This allows you to develop and cope with more difficult opponents and tasks.
Multiplayer Mode: The game supports co-op mode, allowing multiple players to explore the world and build together, which adds a lot of extra fun and opportunities for interaction to the game.
Graphics and style
Terraria is made in pixel 2D style, which may look simple at first glance, but is perfect for its mechanics. Every element, from the world to the animations of characters and enemies, is stylized in a way that evokes nostalgic feelings for classic games from the 90s. Despite its simplicity, the graphics perfectly convey the atmosphere and make the gameplay even more exciting.
Music and sound
The musical accompaniment in Terraria is one of those elements that can easily go unnoticed, but in fact greatly enhances the atmosphere of the game. The music changes depending on the place, time of day and situation, creating a feeling of immersion in the world.
Sound effects play an important role in the process of battles, creating objects and interacting with the world.
Positive:
A huge, procedurally generated world that always offers something new to explore.
A rich craft system with many items to create and improve.
Lots of bosses and enemies with unique mechanics, which makes every fight interesting.
Support for a multiplayer mode for playing together.
Regular updates and new content additions.
Cons:
Due to the abundance of content and mechanics, the game can be difficult for beginners, and you will need time to figure out all the nuances.
Some players may feel that the process of exploration and survival is becoming somewhat repetitive.
Result
Terraria is a true classic of the genre, which has remained relevant for more than ten years. With its open world, creative opportunities and constant content updates, the game continues to attract players of all ages. Terraria provides incredible freedom of action and an excellent balance between exploration, survival and construction, which makes it one of the most exciting and multifaceted indie games.
Assessment: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (10/10).
We recommend it to all fans of sandbox and adventure games, as well as those who are looking for a game with great potential for creativity and long-term interest!
Probably one of, if not my favorite game of all time. Great for solo playthroughs and with friends. Adding mods creates unlimited possibilities.
One of the greatest old school feeling games and probably one of my all time favorites. Discovered this in an earlier release on x box. Played it on mobile. When i joined Steam it was on my list. If you're into games like this definitely play this.
Absolutely love this game ,fun game to play with friends ,great gameplay, amazing bosses and weapons, mods to this game are massive too , If you are thinking about buying this game ,try it and experience it (let me know :D ),maybe it will be fun ,maybe not, depends on you , I give this game 10/10
I started playing Terraria since around Dec 2011-12 on the Xbox 360 and 2015 on Windows. and I've got to say, this game is one of the best games I've ever played. there are hundreds of ways that you can play the game, (some of which I've haven't even done yet!) Many Youtubers like Yrimir, stampylonghead and ChippyGaming made my childhood back in those days. I've kind of played this for so long, it's almost like an addiction. (a good one except.) To be honest, I wish I had money to buy the merch but I'm too broke. thanks for the memory’s, Re-Logic...
*spawned in and died to a slime
*went back and killed the slime
*went underground
*got loot and went to fight bosses
*got to hard mode
*died by slime
*went back to fighting bosses
*died so went and got better loot
*fought and beat moon lord
*died to slime
10/10 game would def die to a slime again
It's an exciting sandbox game. With a vast world full of diverse creatures and resources, players can build, explore, and fight. There are countless items to discover and use for different purposes. It offers a lot of fun and challenges, suitable for those who love creative and adventure gameplay.
Played on both Xbox 360 and Steam. Terraria is one of my fave games for nearly 10 years now! The game has stayed consistently updated by a dedicated team, and the modding scene adds plenty of variety to spice up the game if the vanilla experience isn't for you/burns you out. There's plenty of options for how you'd like to experience the game, so just play however feels right.
Most, if not, all arguable issues w/ the base game can be fixed by modding, which has been made that much easier by Tmodloader being usable thru Steam itself.
I love the game I recomend this if you like adventure and exploring type games but the only thing i have disliked about terraria is that you cant play it cross platform with people on xbox or playstation other than that i love the game
i used to watch stampy play this and i wanted to play until a few days ago i tryed it it is so good i love it would recommend
Fantastic Game, developers actually still care about it and the community, so uncommon for games nowadays, I look forward to seeing what they will will do with the game further. Definitely give this game a go.
One of the best sandboxes in existance. Dosnt hold player's hand and lets them do everything on their own. Pixel art is amazing. Now stop reading this review and go play it damn it I promise its worth your time!

Terraria was and remains the best survival sandbox game on the market. Re-Logic outdoes themselves with every update and demonstrates a seemingly endless commitment to fine-tuning and improving the game, despite it being in a “finished” state for nearly a decade. Where other games fall prey to development hell, Terraria gives us a glimpse into the rare development heaven. If there is anyone left in 2024 who hasn’t yet played Terraria, they owe it to themselves.
literally the perfect sandbox game. Theres a perfect balance between having the freedom to do what you want, and being forced to do something to progress the game, leaving you with enough internal and external motivation to play this game for hours on end.
I can't handle 3D environments very well, so a certain other sandbox game is out for that reason. Terraria doesn't lose at all in my mind, however. I often fall into a sort of a trance, exploring the worlds... The lively playerbase and continuing updates even so long after the game's release are really nice, too!
Amazing game! Cool bosses, good progression, and it gives a good challenge! My only complaint is the stupid angler quests that make me want to gouge my eyes out, 200?!?! That is the only reason I am never going to even TRY to get all of the achievements.
This is the game that made me play as much games as I have. References are cool and made me discover the wonderful world of gaming. Thank you Terraria
