FOR GOD SAKE PLSS WHY I CANT PLAY WITH MY FRIENDS BROO CONNECTION ERROR MY ASSS FK UUUUU
GOOD GAME NO BITCHES NO CONNECTION
Glorified DLC for Far Cry 5. The entire game is just " Liberate outpost and repeat for ethanol to up your health, they removed the usefulness of hunting and fishing, characters are just older versions of Far Cry 5 characters, why am I attacking a British aircraft carrier in Florida when i'm in the wasteland of Montana, how the fuck did a heli fly that far...
its ight. the health bars a lil annoying but the enemy variation is kinda cool.
The game looks exactly like a mod of far cry 5, the enemies in this game are really good and strong, you gotta upgrade all the weapons you got to ELITE or atleast Rank 3 to finish the game, the best part about this game that i really liked was the 'Highwaymen' Radio, i bet you are not gonna regret listening to that BOMB of a music, all jokes aside, this is a perfect game as always in the far cry series.
10/10 first game i actually want to 100% complete. a lot of fun honestly to short but its great fun.
I feel like this game is mad under rated. Sure it had a few bad ideas but everything else was Far Cry at it's best.
Fun to run around in a post-apocalyptic Hope County see what happened to everyone after Far Cry 5.
Story was pretty good - felt like the mechanics and gunplay took a big step back compared to FC5 though. Get it on sale if you want a quick game. Can be finished in sub-10 hours.
wow, what a terrible game
i wanted to like it, i really did, but it's impossible
you or your character have no personality, in fact, you're basically an armed pack mule, and i'm not kidding
you jump, fall, die, kill, give orders, take orders, capture outposts, help people, recruit people, but you don't say a single word... seriously, you'll do everything, but not say a word
i played far cry 5 and decided to give far cry new dawn a chance, but honestly, it's horrible
the story? short and makes no sense
the map? too big for such a small game
the characters? forgettable, and even you are forgettable
the weapons and vehicles? meh
maybe the only cool thing in the game is the dogs and cats roaming around the map or at the base, but other than that, it's tedious, lifeless, and meaningless
in my opinion, even for free, it's too expensive
Gameplay is better than Faycry 5 for me (I compare both game product since Far cry new dawn is a story after the end of Far cry 5). In Far cry 5, I can just grab starter sniper and fight until the end of the story. But in Far cry new dawn, you gotta upgrade the weapon class or it will be very hard to fight in end game. The "additional" skill in Far cry new dawn is very very fun. make you fight enemies like a god.
I recommend all new player to not expect too much of the story. It might help you enjoy this game better. Story is just classic stuff. Heroes vs Villian blah blah blah.
Coop is nice. Music is ok. Normal grinding rate gameplay for me.
In conclusion, good game for discount price:)
I always enjoy when the "bad guys" have a twist to them. Far Cry definitely brings that with every game. Great game with a great storyline.
++Its cheap,base game 9E i buy Deluxe what is 11E.
+Game looks great, hunting is fun and i enjoy bit of resources farming.
+Game is long,51Hours if you want complete game on 100 perc 60+ hours easy.
+Graphic page is great and no freezing, fps jumps, black screens.
+Good end you can blow up niggas and Joseph..finaalllyyy!!!:)
--Story is weakest point and main hero who cant talk and dont have balls.
It feels writed by someone who dont know how make good story lines.
-Most of scenes makes me sick i mean...watching those 2 niggas is just awfull.
played a lot like far cry 5, which is a positive to me but i understand that people don't love that this is basically an extended DLC. I had a lot of fun and I found the story to be interesting and endearing enough while not necessarily being the greatest. would recommend if its on sale.
Not worth it for the full price wait til it gets on sale if you want to buy far cry new dawn or just play 4 or 5
My third favorite far cry game, the graphics are beautiful, music is very nice, the menus and loading screens are beautiful, the side missions are fun, prosperity is nice, aside from the annoying sisters, this game is a lot better in everything than the horrible 5
actually hard bossfights which is honestly amazing to me, and the ending of this game is what i was hoping for (beautiful ending). Not the best far cry game not the worst (id give that to 6), but i definitely enjoyed it and thought it was a great continuation of Far Cry 5.
i spent 30 minutes following bean around and watching him ask people about what an orgasm was
10/10 would sneeze 100 bajillion times but between my legs again
I heard people don't like this game of far cry series, but I really enjoyed playing it. Sadly it's very short ( I completed whole story, looted whole map and unlocked everything in ~25 hours).
The graphics - beautiful. It was the first game I tried when I got my new PC, and I was really stunned to see a such good looking game. So many attention to details, colors and many other things. Absolutely loved every minute of it. I believe I'll come back to play it again in the future.
Same old formula, go for it if you like far cry games, otherwise if you played 1 far cry game then you played them all.
very very very good good good game 😎🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃😎🥃😎🥃
Far Cry New Dawn feels more like an extended DLC for Far Cry 5 than a proper standalone title. While it builds on the foundation of its predecessor, it doesn't offer much that feels genuinely new. The post-apocalyptic setting adds a splash of vibrant color to Hope County, and the new "expeditions" system introduces off-map missions in unique locations. The light RPG mechanics, like upgrading Prosperity and crafting stronger weapons, offer some variety, but these additions don’t reinvent the gameplay loop. Unfortunately, the story lacks the depth and emotional pull of Far Cry 5’s gripping narrative, and the antagonists feel forgettable compared to Joseph Seed.
If you enjoyed Far Cry 5 and want more of the same with a few tweaks, New Dawn might scratch that itch. However, it doesn’t justify being a full-priced standalone title and would have made more sense as a DLC expansion. Play it if you're craving more Far Cry—just temper your expectations.
They make it dumb on purpose so you want to buy Far Cry Credits with real money to get it to move faster. Pathetic. I hate that i paid for this game that just wants MORE of my money to make it playable
This game is not as good or as large as Far Cry 5 but does make for an interesting sequel though I really think the primary antagonist is kinda crap.
Not as bad as farcry 6. but its just half of the farcry 5 map and a awful story.
Takes a while to get into the game, especially around the start.
But the game really gets interesting and becomes your typical run-of-the-mill FC game in the mid stages.
spawn in commit murder run away fall off a water fall barely survive get saved by some random person walk around kill more get to weird house place gear up fight and commit mass murder upgrade weird home get attacked by weird high way people hold down the fort commit more murder and continue
Standalone expansion to Far Cry 5, I found this a fun game to play through, took about 17 hours to beat all the main and side missions, also unlocked all the outposts (not every level of each tho) and found all the photos and media players. Quite grindy but I didn't mind. I'd give this like a 7.5/10
It should be a DLC for far cry 5 tbh. Weak storyline, small map, lame ending, feels like the script was written by Chat GPT
If it was a DLC, it would be a solid 8.2/10 but as a separate game, it's a 2.5/10
far cry simply being one of the most legendary games ever is enough to describe this.
Nice artstyle and gameplay, the story was a bit meh, but overal a fun game even more so in coop.
Oh... there was a story?
I couldn't care less.
It's a game.
(Kidding... mostly... but truly, hardly any games have a good story... a lot of books don't have a good story.)
Anyway, the game is a exceptional companion piece to Far Cry 5. A new, simpler - different - way to play for sure, but it's a fun version, a version that is worthy of a play-through.
I played and completed both games on Xbox. They are both excellent in their own ways.
Stealthy base takeovers never... NEVER... get old in my book.
If I was forced to pick, New Dawn might be my favorite Far Cry and I like them all.
Streamlined... maybe... but deep enough... and certainly there is a lot of fun in there if you want it.
Wow this game is really bad, the story is really underwhelming, everything seems rushed, the "bosses" at the end of the game are just tedious, the ethanol gathering is just a chore - i mean you are basically forced to either replay the same outposts with slightly stronger enemies or you have to do expeditions, both of those are crazy repetetive, just like the rest of game. The only mission which I would say is in any way different from the rest of the missions is the bullet farm prison "escape". Additionally, the game is fairly buggy, it's prone to crashes, and takes a fair amount of grinding. The grinding part would'nt really be an issue for me, if not for the fact that the game doesn't offer any versatabiltiy in playstyles, under you go stealthy with a slow ass gun or you don't, in which case still - go shoot enemy. Anyways, very underwhelming, not recommended.
A Vibrant Post-Apocalyptic Twist on the Far Cry Formula
Far Cry New Dawn delivers a colourful and action-packed continuation of the Far Cry 5 storyline, set in a post-apocalyptic Hope County. The game’s striking visuals, featuring a world reclaimed by nature, bring a unique vibrancy to the usual dystopian setting, making it a feast for the eyes.
The RPG-inspired progression system adds depth, encouraging exploration and resource gathering to upgrade your home base and gear. The new Expeditions mode expands gameplay beyond Hope County, offering unique missions in various locations. The antagonists, the Twins, bring a chaotic energy, though they might not feel as memorable or impactful as Joseph Seed from Far Cry 5.
While New Dawn builds on the solid gameplay foundation of its predecessor, it doesn’t stray far from the formula. The story is engaging but somewhat predictable, and the game’s shorter length and smaller scale compared to mainline entries may leave some wanting more.
Overall, Far Cry New Dawn is a fresh and fun addition to the series, blending familiar mechanics with exciting new twists. It’s perfect for fans of the franchise and newcomers looking for a vibrant open-world shooter experience.
A nice variation on Far Cry 5. I'm not as big a fan of the music or overall story on this one, but it's still plenty fun.
Believe it or not, i enjoyed this game more than Far Cry 5, despite the fact Far Cry 5 is much bigger game than New Dawn
Finally so many questions got answered in this game
8/10
On to the Next One!
What a piece of shit Ubisoft!
Gameplay 5/10- Guns are the same (no difference at all). Either grind or donate.
Story 5/10 - Okeeeeeeeeeey.
Netcode 3/10 - is dead playing coop.
Not worth of ur money and time
For starters I just really enjoy the landscape, even more than Far Cry 5 had to offer, the apocalypse usually is portrayed as a dull wasteland so how enjoyable that everything is floral and colorful here. There is a lot to enjoy, plenty of things that could have been improved but for me this was a great title that keeps me coming back. I think at least worth grabbing on sale!
This game is bad but atleast good graphics
Far too difficult to gain the resources required to unlock/purchase the various weapons throughout the game resulting in you either playing with only a hand full of the available weapons, grind for an ungodly amount of time to get a few more or using real world currency to purchase said materials to get new weapons, this feels like a deliberate design choice resulting in an unsatisfying experience overall.
Perhaps the most bland and down right bad entry into the FarCry series, bland missions, very bland, forgetable characters and a very silly premise. This game is not worth your time and nothing like the other awesome games in this series.
I didn’t feel like completing every single thing on the map, although I did capture all the outposts with 3-star ratings. However, I still didn’t have enough resources for Tier 3 or Tier 4 weapons. Because of this, I spent an hour on the Twins and another hour on Ethan's bear since I could only deal 90 damage to their critical spots. I managed to beat them on my first try, but it took me 2 hours.
Big thanks to the developers. By the end of the game, I felt like Ubisoft just wanted to mess with you or force you to go back and complete 100% of the map—collecting every single herb on this godforsaken map.

loved FC5... this is the same but bland, empty and feels soulless
gave this game more chances than it deserves but still meh
This is one of the most aesthetically beautiful games I've ever played in my entire life. From the realistic graphics, to the vibrant, zany, and unique color palette, to the criminally underrated soundtrack, to the way the highwaymen's rowdiness can be observed in the music they listen to and how they paint their gear. Far Cry New Dawn is one of those games I wouldn't recommend to someone but it's my guilty pleasure. The main story sucked although it had it's moments. You can't replay missions which sucks. There's just something about this game that I like. If you can look past the cringe in the characters and the main story, you'll like New Dawn. Past all of that, what you have is a fun chaotic game which it's aesthetic carries to new heights being both fun to look at and be in.
Overall this game is bad. It feels low-effort and soulless. The story in this game is abysmal and is a chore to play through.
Just play Far Cry 5. It's better in every way.
It doesn't have kidnap sequences like FC5 so it's already much better game. Nice scenery, solid fun, however there's a bit of grind element here and man you gotta grind a bit if you don't want to make final boss fights super tedious. Still solid 7/10 game.
Over all it's a bad story, the ending will make you hate the time you invested into the game, it's a shame it was ever made, could have been a better time if you just stay on the menu.
This was the least enjoyable of the Far Cry series. I couldn't stand how annoying the antagonists were. In comparison to the deep, and interesting characters of Far Cry 5, this wasn't even close to being of the same caliber. The base capturing and defense idea wasn't bad though. Fighting wasn't terrible. The story just sucked and I couldn't bear to complete it after 35 hours.
It wasn't so bad as some reviews would lead you to believe. I quite liked the story; it's nothing too complex, nor tiringly simple (though it was shorter than FC5). A few of the missions could've been more engaging with suspenseful-er music but other than that I had a good time playing this. I liked the tiers for animals, cars, enemies & guns and especially liked that you could let the outposts you liberated get taken over again to get more rewards if you managed to take it back.
I would say it's worth the price when it's on sale. 7.5/10 :)
When I first dove into Far Cry New Dawn, I was immediately captivated by its post-apocalyptic world, which felt like a rebirth of nature after a cataclysm. Ubisoft has created a stunning landscape where nature has reclaimed the land in vibrant and almost dreamlike colors. The pink and purple hues add a unique, almost magical touch to the world that’s been devastated but also feels alive and beautiful. Even familiar places from Far Cry 5, like the remnants of Hope County, now feel entirely different, as though you’re exploring an alternate dimension that’s both haunting and enchanting.
However, despite this captivating beauty, I found some aspects of the game to be a bit frustrating and immersion-breaking. The main issue for me is the outpost-capturing mechanic. Initially, it seems interesting—you capture a base, clear it, and then have the option to re-capture it if you need more resources. But over time, it becomes clear that the game almost forces you into this loop, as these resources are necessary for upgrading your base and equipment. When you have to repeatedly capture the same outpost, it becomes monotonous and feels like an artificial way to stretch out the gameplay. Instead of offering more inventive ways to gather materials, the game keeps you cycling through the same repetitive task.
Anyway, I've recommend to play FC:ND :D It introduces new and intriguing characters who add a lot to the storyline, with some becoming genuinely memorable and bringing fresh dynamics to the game. Plus, the presence of familiar locations and references to Far Cry 5 gives the story a sense of continuity and closure. It’s like reuniting with old friends but seeing them in a new and more intense light.
Story seems fine but it's a game that has absolutely no respect for your time. 4 hours in and I still get stuck somewhere having to run for 10 minutes on foot since no vehicles spawn, and then a wild cat that needs more than your inventory worth of bullets in the dome to die follows you all the way there. Funny the first time, then you just wonder why you aren't playing something better.
