I still can't understand the ending
Jumpscares were fun when they happened, pretty rare, but atmosphere was good. Loved the puzzles.
Great gameplay, so much fun, scary with headphones ... I want the next one to come out right NOW!

I don't review the HOG games i play in a critical manner but this one is truly one of a kind and worth a mention. This is a continuation from part 1 of the Trilogy, did it explain most of the stuff in part 1 in the second installment yes it did. So I played the 1st time off the expert mode and man it was tough as hell. Brace yourselves for these puzzles There were minor bugs where the magnifying glass would not work and that had me run in circles. I liked the fact that the past history of the story is in different narratives in this one you have the main character, a ghost hunting journalist and the asylum workers. The location is basically 3 buildings in the asylum and there is a huge map. There are I think only a few HOG puzzles and they are very creatively constructed. Certain rooms in the game has even time manipulation which is amazing. I never thought of the wine being vinegar. The 3D and cinematics are great and the voice acting is amazing. Story wise, i felt more and more cliffhangers than a closure, but i really LOVE the mysterious story. Achievements are bugged in the game and I got the Boss achievement without unlocking 2 achievements. But i got most of them in my first playthrough. Might do a second one who knows. The OST also is good but not what i preferred as the part 1 of the Trilogy. I do wish there is a bonus chapter, but I think the team gave what they can so no complaints. Overall really interesting game for HOG fans. Give it a go when you desire the chills and the spooks. Can't wait for part 3!!
The story is wonderful and it is creepy.
There is a lot of back and forth without really understanding why, but overall a well done and graphically beautiful game.
I hope they come out with part 3 soon.
This isn't a HOG like the first one. There are NO hidden object scenes. Its just a point and click adventure it, shouldn't be under the hidden object tag like the first game.

After playing the first part of the game, which I did enjoy, I was eager to try the 2nd one.
However, I was very disappointed. It shouldn't be tagged as "Hidden Object" Game because there were almost zero to none hidden object scenes. I was looking for a way to turn it from "Adventure" to "Hidden Object" like in the first game, but nope.
I ended up just rushing through the game, skipping the story completely and hoping there would be something.
Yes, some of the puzzles were fun. But most of them were just not for me. Maybe clicking around on the levers until the things align like in the Picture in your note (Which you have to keep opening up or take a screenshot to remember), are just not for me.
Nevertheless... I did not enjoy this one as much as the first one and I'm hesitant to buy the thrid.

A great sequel with good scares and an overall great ambience. The puzzles and mechanics are more refined and very cool and fun. The story continuation is really well executed and and really interesing. The scares and the ambience are really creepy cool. All in on a really cool game that makes me want more. I can really highly recommend it.
Amazing HOG, love the story and everything about it.
I love point-and-click games, but lately it's been hard to find good quality games - interesting characters, compelling story lines, challenging and creative puzzles. Goblinz did it right and I am excited about the upcoming release of chapter 3 of this amazing series. Meanwhile, time to replay the first installments.
Loved it a lot. A very good sequel. My only problem with the game is the broken achievements which make it impossible to 100% the game.

This game is way above average on the Mountain Crime Requital scale.
This takes all that was good in part 1, and makes it even better, I think that the devs have capture atmostphere even moreso in this game than in the previous! I definitely recommend this to any HOG enjoyer out there. ONE BIG NOTE, however, is that this game DOES NOT have the traditional "look for item" section. While I do miss it, I think the new mini game mechanic that replaced it is a lot more immersive story-wise and way more interesting on the downside, if you stream it, you won't be able to have the chat members be active participants in the game.
Still, it is a lot of fun. I can't wait for the third installment to this game!!!
Ease of game play and plenty of chills
Very immersive for a casual game. Hours of play. You can set the difficulty for main game and mini games.
Definitely spooky, but better yet, this game is an intriguing mystery that you really want to "solve." Good, clear graphics on HOPs. The only thing negative I would have to say is that it was difficult for me the first go-round, because there is a LOT to this game. Mini games are challenging, but doable. Second go-round was less difficult but still fun.
Can't wait for the third one to come out <3
I have replayed both part 1 and 2 multiple times and I feel like it is one of those games that it gets better with replays because you pick up on more than you previously did. The story is so captivating and I think about it all the time, the graphics and art design for this game is stunning, and overall the eerie atmosphere and creepy moments scare me half to death and I love it every. Single. Time. I was so excited to hear about the official timeline for part 3's release! It's bittersweet because this game has kept me up late at night for a couple of years, but I can't wait to see how this incredible story finally ends.
