The Room Two continues the time-spanning journey of its predecessor while significantly expanding its unique puzzle gameplay. Follow a trail of cryptic letters from an enigmatic scientist known only as “AS” into a compelling world of challenging mystery and tactile exploration.
Development on this fully-enhanced HD version of The Room Two began shortly after the mobile release of The Room Three late in 2015 and has involved creating more detailed environments for each level as well as rebuilding and re-texturing every asset in the game.
Fireproof Games are a small independent team working in Guildford in the UK. We self-published our first game The Room on iPad in September 2012 and were stunned with both the critical success and our new-found fan-base, not to mention multiple international awards. The Room games have since changed our lives and we hope you enjoy playing them as much as we enjoyed making them.

Looks great, puzzles were interesting and very nicely designed. The story isn't bad, I think the atmosphere definitely carries the game more than the story itself. It's the same with all these games, the controls were a bit clunky sometimes when it came to opening boxes or spinning stuff, but it wasn't enough to take away from the game. Very fun way to kill a couple of hours.
The first game was fun in giving me a single box to work with and figure out the puzzles out. The shift to a full room of puzzles just made everything was less intuitive and with the clunky camera controls just didn't incentivize me to right click multiple times to jump between tables around a room. Some puzzles just felt like finding a key and searching for the hole it belonged to, the few genuine puzzles that were there didn't really make up for the tedium of all the other puzzles. The typewriter puzzle was the worst offender, half way into it, I was hoping for a curveball or something but nope, I just had to clunkily type on it. Big let down after how good the first one was.
I brought this game in a bundle with the other sequels but if the third one is more of this, I may have to drop the series entirely.
The only thing hard about this game was the camera control. The puzzle solutions were obvious, so it took me like 2.5 hours to complete because I had to spam click stuff to see if it was intractable. First one was better.
Especially a big fan of Chapter 5. Really tough, but I saw it through.
For real though, this series is bizarre. The puzzles are so satisfying, but as I said there's a creepy spiritual element to it that I feel may be too much for some viewers. That said, they do a great job of making it engaging and mysterious while making the puzzles really smooth and fun. 7/10.
I bought the collection with all of The Room games and they have truly been a wonderful experience to play through! Each and every one of them is worth playing, but I will still comment and say that out of the four games in the collection... this one is my least favourite. It simply did too many weird things for me in terms of the rooms. However, with that said, it is still worth playing through it!
Go get the collection if you enjoy some really good puzzles!
This was really fun! It was tricky without feeling impossible, and the hints are helpful without feeling like you're having your hand held. Great atmosphere and sound! I loved the lore tidbits scattered throughout. A really unique experience.
this game is very fun and i like the art style, i enjoyed how there were different puzzles in different parts of the rooms that interacted with each other! there is a story too which was interesting but i did pay more attention to the puzzles tbh ':D (i quite liked the tarot card bit)
More eerie & dystopian vibes than the first game, I loved the different scenes!
A great puzzle-game entirely worth its asking-price, the visuals are great, the sound-design is excellent, and the puzzles are just the right level of trickiness to feel satisfying without also driving you to a walkthrough. The in-game hints provide well-placed nudges, and there is no penalty for using them. The game length was enough to complete in a sitting or two, and gives you free access to all the levels after finishing so you can go back and replay your favorites! (I don't understand why every puzzle game doesn't do this by default, but it's definitely an appreciated thoughtful touch when they do.)
The main flaw I found was that some of the puzzles involving the rotation of dials or knobs would sometimes stop snapping to their set places or somehow fall out of alignment and the puzzle would become unsolvable. Fortunately just quitting to menu and then continuing will reset things to a playable state, but I did have to do that several times through the game. This is why I generally prefer simple clicking to control things rather than attempting to simulate actions with vague mouse gestures, but that's just my personal gripe. The controls here are generally fine and certainly not worth fussing about.
Overall if you like solving puzzles, this entire series is not to be missed!
Yes, the entire series of these games are interesting. Check them out if you enjoy puzzle games.
Great game series so far! After finishing The Room I now entered the second mystery. You solve puzzles in several rooms one after another interacting with objects, often opening secret compartments which feels very satisfying due to the animations. The riddles are creative, but never too complicated when you pay attention to the details. There is also a help function available when you get stuck. The story is mysterious but the highlight are clearly the boxes and apparations. Short, but engaging and fun!
Love this one, as may be estimated from my 27 hours in a <10 hour game. Great environments, great puzzles, great atmosphere. My one PSA: don't expect six chapters-- expect four chapters and a tutorial.
The Room Two is a fun puzzle games where you're juggling multiple little puzzles at the same time to solve a greater puzzle, some of the puzzles are fairly intricate but fair, I felt that The Room Two was a little more difficult than the first game but overall fairly similar. I wish the games were slightly longer but I definitely had a fun time and recommend the series.
Highly recommend playing this game if you like puzzles but sometimes need a little nudge in the right direction every now and then-- very fun and replete with an intriguing story! Have fun with it when you need to play something less twitchy and more cerebral.
Great puzzle game that improves on the first. Love the theme and general settings.
This game makes me furious and I hate navigating in it.
Decent point and click puzzle adventure.
Honestly this wasn't as good as the first one in my opinion. The intricate design of the puzzle box in the first one was much more engaging and intuitive than the several obtuse escape rooms this one offers. Not sure I'll get the next two games if they're similar to this one, unless they're for sale dirt cheep maybe. Might just look around for more games like the first one.
A great addition to The Room game series. I bought the 4 in a bundle during a sale but would gladly pay full price for all them.
The puzzles are just like in the first one but there’s more than one puzzle per room especially the last chapter which was amazing to figure out ( I used two tips due to me being blind and not noticing things ).
Highly recommend if you enjoyed the first one heck I’d recommend all the to new or older players…can’t go wrong with this purchase. I think they still do the bundle which may save a quid or two. It’s even made me sought out more games the same as these.
Now onto The Room 3
I really enjoyed this. It's a good game to play in a day with a few breaks for chores :) I loved that this one had different themed rooms to go through - a pirate ship, a seance, a temple, and a lab. Would highly recommend.
This is an excellent puzzle game. The music and graphics are wonderful. The puzzles are interesting, but not impossible hard. They keep you interested.
A very impressive follow up on the first The Room game! They keep evolving on a lot of cool ideas and mechanics.
Top tier atmosphere, graphics, sound and puzzle design once again.
I would recommend playing the first in the series before this if you haven't already!
This was a fantastic sequel to the original game, and a great game in its own right! The puzzles have been expanded, with more than one puzzle box per "room," and having them interact with each other in really cool ways. The puzzles have also retained their relatively low challenge level from the first game, but the game did make me think a bit more than the original. The visuals once again do a great job tying into the atmosphere of this game, which continues the excellence of the first game. The story is also a direct continuation of the first game, and assumes that you are familiar with the first game. However, I would not say that it is unplayable for anyone that never played the first game. This game does everything a good sequel should do: it keeps the quality of the puzzles, story, and atmosphere, and expands upon them in new and different ways while keeping the core mechanics and ideas of the universe intact. If you liked the first game, this game is also well worth your time to play.
Awesome conclusion to the first one! This is easily one of my favorite puzzle games now. Short, but so entertaining.
3 horas depois com 100% do jogo completo e com 100% das conquistas feitas.
The Room Two é sem dúvida uma ótima continuação.
Recomendado!!
A little tricky on mouse but still was a fun game non the less. the hints were amazingly helpful for when i was unsure what to do and the story always feels like I am on the edge of my seat to figure it out!
If you liked The Room then this is a no-brainer. It's more of everything, bigger, longer, multiple puzzle stations in the rooms and another great experience.
I love puzzle games but they are usually kind of abstract. It's rare to find one that is so atmospheric and immersive. Brilliant game and experience that continues to stand the test of time.
The Room 2 was even more immersive than the first one, I really enjoyed the puzzles and storyline. I liked that the puzzles expanded throughout the entire room rather than being confined to singular boxes. A truly engaging experience! Can't wait to play the third one!
One of my all time favorite combinations of "point and click" and a good "puzzle" game. Very well executed - loved them all.
Very Puzzle Solving escape the room type of game. Some things aren't easy and kinda hard to see making some puzzles hard to do with out grabbing a hint. Over all a good all thou quick play. There is 0 reply value this and it's other versions are one shots but fun.
fantastic puzzle boxes. gives a fun slightly uneasy feeling with the confusion and darker atmosphere. definitely a fun game and entire series
great game with difficult puzzles. i love coming back to it every so often to see if I can remember my way through, I never seem to, which is great!
Another excellent puzzle/escape room style game. Not quite as strong as the first one for me personally as there were a few too many solutions where you had to happen to see something at the right camera angle rather than actually solve a puzzle, but even in those instances the in game hints stopped it from getting frustrating so overall, highly recommend!
Absolutely amazing puzzles!!
Love it when im stuck and trying to figure out.
Im not following the story that much, but the puzzles really make my brain go vroom!
Would definitely recommend it.
Just a minor complaint: I think it gets a little dark (hard to see) due to the ingame lighting. I know thats how its supposed to be, but still.
Although I was a bit late in finding out, I was excited to know Fireproof Games released this series for the PC. The overall game mechanics are mostly the same as the 1st, but the puzzles are a bit more complex and there are more! I also really appreciated that they continued the story for your character, adding a lot more depth and mystery. If you have played the first one you will not be disappointed.
A great continuation of The Room (1). There's more "breathing room" in the scenery and - most importantly - the plot thickens.
Same recipe from the first game, but slightly easier.
Difficulty: medium
100 % achievement difficulty: easy
Graphics: very good
Music: good
Better than the first one, so really great. The puzzles grow to the size of rooms and are more devious than before. I never felt stuck and really enjoyed playing through it.
This games are underrated... if the 1st game from the serie was like a intro-tutorial, this was shocking wow.
Can't wait to finish the other ones as well.
Mind melting. Beautiful graphics challenging puzzles. Easy mouse controlled.
Fun and occasionally tricky little puzzle game. Makes me want to go back and play the third game again.
Fun series of games, if you like puzzles and science, even fictional science then i would highly suggest these games.
I love the Room franchise; if you like puzzle boxes and escape rooms, then you'll love it too. The puzzles themselves are challenging, yet not so punishingly hard as to be unenjoyable. The artistry of it is beautiful, the puzzles being set in something like the gilded age, with just a hint of Lovecraft. It's evident that a lot of hard work and care went into making this game.
The atmosphere was awesome, it's a really pretty game. Not to mention fun and interesting! I'm really happy about the hint system. I can't help it, I just get stuck sometimes, and searching online is a really easy way to ruin the whole game by accidental spoilers.
A completely radical change from the games I usually play (Tomb Raider, Call of Duty) but really glad I came across it. Some fairly difficult challenges beautifully rendered with good sound effects. I've played one and two so now onwards to the third instalment. Well worth a look even if like me it's not your usual choice of game. Well done to the team that put these together.
This is a wonderful and engaging experience that I recommend very highly. Challenging, yet fair, this game is a great contrast to the woeful array of first person shooters out there that are mere clones of each other. This is ingenious, clever and well worth the time to unravel these dexterous puzzles.
The second game is as nice for me as the first one.
I got stuck at the end a bit because I didn't double-check the drawer.
I find the room games really satisfying to look at when and how things open up.
Only thing that really annoyed me, the mouse control of everything is sometimes really funky and doesn't want to play along.
Still looking forward to playing the third game.
The Room Two is a puzzle game where you solve puzzles and investigate the mysteries of A.S. and the null element. It's the sequel to The Room and picks up where the previous game left off.
The Room Two is still mostly puzzles, but instead of solving one puzzle box at a time, you solve puzzle rooms. You'll still solve puzzle boxes, but now you get to explore the whole room instead of just the top of the table. This allows for more complex and creative puzzles, and the game didn't start to feel repetitive by the end the way the first one did. The puzzles are a little more difficult than in the first game, although most of the time that's just because the rooms are big and dark and some of the things you have to look for are small parts of the background. I did have to use the hint system a couple of times, and the hints were just enough to point me in the right direction.
The story is still a small part of the game, but because the game is longer, you do get a bit more of it. You still get the notes from A.S., and they continue where they left off at the end of the first game. In a couple of the rooms, the environment and the notes tie together, although these parts seem to be tangentially related to the "main story." The game is more about atmosphere than story, but the atmosphere is very well done. There's an otherworldly element to the way you travel through the rooms, and the environments and sounds are very creepy, much more so than in the first game.
Like the previous game, this was originally designed with a touch screen in mind, which makes some of the movements and gestures awkward. Certain actions like opening boxes and turning keys were more annoying than they needed to be, and occasionally it was hard to see something from a specific angle. I did have one weird bug, where I was able to focus on something inside an item I hadn't opened yet, but other than that the game worked fine.
Overall, The Room Two is very similar to the first game, but improved in almost every way. It's a bit longer than the first game as well, and I enjoyed playing it a bit more. I'm eager to see where the rest of the series goes. 7/10
The Room Two is a complete step up from the previous game. I felt that the puzzles this time around were better than the first game. The settings here are more expansive, having multiple different backdrops beyond a room in a box. The controls were also improved here, as you can zoom out and interact with a whole room. All in all, it's worth a play.
I first played this series a few years ago on mobile and had a lot of fun. It's been long enough that I forgot many of the finer details, so when I saw that I could snag the entire series on Steam for 80% off I went ahead and did it. I'm coming back to review all of them after finishing the entire series and I have to say it still holds up. Simple, fun, decent storyline throughout. Kept me engaged for about 13 hours between the four sets, so well worth the price. Honestly, I would have purchased them again at full price as well. 9/10 for me, would def recommend to a friend.
Great sequel to the first, atmospheric escape room. Puzzles are slightly more challenging but still not too hard. Loving this series, and still wishing they were re-playable.
