Very fun and simple game, easy to pick up and has great gameplay for a topdown style game.
Got the game on sale for £3. Impressive game.
Overall it's a game with a solid idea that will appeal to some players. Okay graphics, nice premise, and you get to do crime and find ways of losing the cops. However, it was too repetitive for me, and I disliked ending a mission and then having to run to the other side of the map to pick one up over and over again.
The plot was weird, because to prove your innocence over a murder, you go about gaining money (I forget why) by robbing places and holding them on gunpoint. The main character feels like such a pushover, too, instead of a hardened criminal. He'll just have to do whatever the other characters tell him to do.
Also, driving a car makes you feel like your character is drunk all the time.
Still recommend it if you like the crime genre, maybe it is just the game for you.
Game was pretty fun although easy and repetitive. Definitely not worth $20 though. I got it on sale for $4 and i believe the $4 was worth it but I would not recommend paying 20 for this game. After the story, there is no real desire to continue playing. Cops are super easy to kill and escape. Surprisingly escaping by foot is often times the easiest method.
great game, do yourself a favor turn down the music volume setting the music is brutal. also put driving to fixed angle or you might get sick.

100% The game. It's nothing ground breaking or breathtaking, but it is a nice, fun game to play. I wouldn't say it's a must play, but it is something fun. The story is.. alright, gameplay is good, and some of the car handling isn't the best. Pretty easy game to get all achievements on too. Overall I'd give it a 7/10 . If it goes on sale, it's worth a pick up!
Fun little game. Old school top-down format, like the original GTA. But, GTA this is NOT. The driving and shooting are rather wonky, but for a cheap little game, it's a nice time killer.
fun little sandbox game...follow the missions to prove you're innocence or prove your naysayers correct by becoming a one-man-crime-spree - the choice is yours. Think old-school GTA with updated graphics, game mechanics, and a heavier focus on home-invasions, false imprisonment, and burglary (as opposed to 'just vehicle theft and murder)..in fact, if there had been a 'transitional' game between the OG GTA games (pixel, top down view) and the newer ones (3d third-person open-world crime simulator) it would've probably looked and played a lot like this.
Got it for almost free, still enjoying it. Don't take it too seriously because this game doesn't take itself too seriously.
very low budget, but still pretty fun. the storyline kept me interested but overall this is something you want to grab when it is on a MASSIVE discount.
I have picked this up on a sale for about £2 and played 30 hours. It was worth the money. Even if you don't complete the game there is always something to do. When I get bored of one activity I move on to the next one. Eg. Follow the story, switch to time trials, complete challenges, do the jumps, rob shops, loot buildings... I would not say that any of the game elements are amazing, but they are good enough and there is a variety ways to have fun.
The game feels like a throwback to the PS1 GTA top dowen era. Plays a lot like GTA, pretty noticeable from the mission design and its storytelling. Also it’s a short but awesome experience that you can wrap up in about 8-10 hours!
The house robbing mechanic is one of the highlights for me, a very unique touch to the usual criminal antics. But unfortunately, some of the other tasks start feeling like a chore after a while, dragging down the pacing. That being said, the physics and soundtrack are top-notch, and the open world is an absolute blast to mess around in.
Overall, it’s a fun game with some great ideas, but don't expect it to keep you hooked for the long haul. Worth picking up (when it's on sale) for a quick crime spree!

The break-and-entry minigame is novel.
It was not a bad game. Yes, the game looks similar to the GTA series on a small scale, but it has interesting ideas that may entertain or bore you. In the first few hours, the game was very entertaining for me, but as it got longer and a series of repetitive missions made me tired. I think the game could have been shorter and more meaningful.

Yes, the story is stupid and the things you can do are repetitive, but there are so many things to do.
This is a great GTA-style game, way better than GTA: Chinatown Wars, which I have tried to complete multiple times, but never manage to do so.
Fun when the cops are chasing you, and that's it.
American Fugitive has a great story behind it and the gameplay is also great with the dialogue, story missions and some non-story missions that really make you engaged at any moment. I mean it's great for the price.
