The Saints are kings of Stilwater, but their celebrity status has not gone unnoticed. The Syndicate, a legendary criminal fraternity with pawns in play all over the globe, has turned its eye on the Saints and demands tribute. Refusing to kneel to the Syndicate, you take the fight to Steelport, a once-proud metropolis reduced to a struggling city of sin under Syndicate control.
Take a tank skydiving, call in a satellite-targeted airstrike on a Mexican wrestling gang, and defend yourself against a highly-trained military force using only a sex toy in the most out- landish gameplay scenarios ever seen, igniting a city-wide war that will set Steelport on fire. Strap it on.

I would still recommend it but the humor feels a bit cringy today.
This Game Rules In Many Ways. I Am Not Going To List Them.
buggy mess. crashes constantly.
saints row is one of my favorite game series, the characters are memorable and lovable, they're hilarious. i really wish they'd remaster these games because they have such insane potential for a revival. this game runs decently, but there are a lot of like. bugs and lags? it's crashed my pc once and lags at different moments other times but overall, it's pretty good.
Used to play it on my PS3 and played it on PS4 and 5 but they're not the same as playing it on steam so I'd highly recommend
Saints Row: The Third - This is the first Saint's Row game I played with MaDDot, Rednaec and Albedomancer, it was great fun! If you pick this game up recently, make sure you coop it and turn off VSync for both pc's, because otherwise you desync really easily.
That said, it was a super fun game where you can get hilarious NPC missions throughout the game and the higher your level, the more upgrades you can purchase with cash. Having unlimited ammo and unlimited health is the endgame and makes running around and causing mayhem super fun.
boring, it's a GTA San Andreas clone that has outlived its novelty. The graphics are too cartoonish, the weapons are very generic and everything about it is just lacking. Saints row 2 was decent but even then it was just GTA generic brand.
Best of the best game/play and UMMO and Best graphics/sound quality DLSS Nvidia/latest UFUHD realistic pixels unreal/frostbite/RAGE/Creation Engine Latest engine and THX spatial audio/MIC HQ/Dolby 7.1/oomph/krisp/bass boost surround sound and next gen upgraded gaming and music listening experience to to sound and gameplay and crossplay merge in different multiple servers and less blurred and slugglish movement and cartoonie and childish-gameplay-graphics and more event and updates and more newer reworks AI benchmark
Steam needs to fix the launch issues (Volition went out of business lmao) dont buy, you might not be able to play it
okay so before you go in:
- install it on the drive steam is installed on or it might crash
- do not alt tab, it creates instability and makes the game liable to crash and stutter
- lock the game to 60fps with something like RivaTuner (bundled with msi afterburner) or graphical bugs and physics glitches happen
- don't play on hardcore unless you hate yourself. It's more annoying than hard since it just ramps up the numbers on all the enemies. Cars become made of paper mache due to the increased damage numbers, making you constantly change cars in trafficking and wrestling with the AI to get into a new car.
On hardcore, the game usually breaks before you do. Examples:
In snatch missions, the five second animation that plays when a ho/contact gets up off the ground is enough to get enemies to do enough damage to destroy your car, so you end up having to recruit them, driving away for a moment, then driving back once the animation finishes playing. Escort missions Brutes take entire magazines until you unlock weapons that actually do damage.
In the Trouble With Clones DLC, the helicopters shoot rockets at Jimmy's car, and it's literally impossible to destroy the helicopters before they shoot that first rocket (if you get bad RNG they shoot you the same frame that they enter your FOV). I got stuck in a loop of getting hit with multiple unavoidable rockets and restarting. I had to turn the difficulty down because despite memorizing the spawns, I still wasn't able to destroy them fast enough to stop the car from being destroyed.
In one of the main story missions where you first fly the VTOL, the heightened damage numbers caused enemies to accidentally destroy the VTOLs before I could even see them.
In hardcore there are so many enemies with high health pools that when you don't have many upgrades unlocked, the ideal path is to just avoid even fighting them and just run straight through to reach objectives since your guns are as effective as a wet fart and you were born with glass bones and paper skin.
The human shield mechanic is effectively pointless as they get instantly eviscerated by the high damage so the play style you adopt to kill things is mag dumping around corners since you can shoot enemies while they can't shoot you.
The pitiful damage you do on all difficulties with bodyshots makes the ideal way to play to just headshot everything with the aggressive aim assist. Saints row 4 improved a lot on this with making all of the weapons feel viable to use.
Not having Gat in this game kind of sucked, but the writing was nice. The three gangs you fight against have a lot of character and feel unique, and killbane being hyped up throughout the game and culminating in a climax where you fight him in a wrestling ring feels awesome, but it feels cheapened by "oh shaundi is gonna die or you can kill killbane" but why couldn't we have both? Why couldn't we have a fully satisfying ending where we both save Shaundi and kill killbane? Why even give us the choice when saving Shaundi is both the canon option, AND the less lame choice ("I need a hero" plays as you drive over to save her)
Many of the options in the game feel contrived with either an obvious choice (nyte blade as a homie or save three hours of district takeover gameplay) and was satirized in Saints Row 4 (as president, choose to stop world hunger or cure cancer)
I didn't like the permanent map changes, I wish that upon completion of the game you could bring the thermopylae or the aircraft carrier into the open world, or the zombie invasion on Arapice island could be toggled.
but the game does have a lot of fun and original mechanics.
Despite being completely unserious and lacking in gritty themes like previous saints row games, it does its own thing and has quite a bit of charm.
All of the activities are things you can't find anywhere else. Despite being braindead easy (unlike saints row 4 where getting gold on all of the activities was moderately difficult), they are still extremely fun.
Tank mayhem is my favorite activity, and watching the combo meter go up as you aim for bundles of street clutter (fences, newspaper boxes, etc.) and then destroying something actually worth some proper cash to get combos in the millions feels orgasmic.
Insurance fraud is a lot of fun, propelling your ragdolled self into oncoming traffic with lowered gravity from adrenaline will never not be fun.
Professor Genki's Super Ethical Reality Climax is literally just an arena where health is granted from pickups instead of regenerating like the base game. It's a lot of fun racking up a combo, but the timer is a non-threat and the cash goal is met without even having to think about it.
Other than that, I have 100%'ed this game 3 times. It's really good, and addicting to go through and do everything. It has bugs and glitchiness, but it's a fun game with lots of charm and silliness. Saints row 4 definitely improved upon the formula, but I still go back to this from time to time.
Cool game to relax, and escape reality.
Don't over think too much whats going on, just unleash pure hell.
8/10.
Good Fun game But playing it with internet on will make the game stutter every 30 seconds which is very annoying. But there is a permanent easy fix for it here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1995350520
Great game. Nice story, funny humor and remarkable characters.
Fun sandbox screw around sim, play while you still have the chance before the next grand theft auto forces you to perceive this as boring
this game brings me back to when i played this as a young teen i recommend this to any open world game lover
it may not be everyones favorite but don't let anyone judge you for liking it this was the one where things started to get weird for some people but above all its a amazing game in the og series
good optimization, good gameplay, good story, in any ways better than my expectation of how choppy the game will but NO, its run quiet well for me. Overalls -Nick
5/10 Most of the missions in this game are so, so bad
yeah you can tell this is an adult swim game
Played this loads on release with some friends. Probably spend weeks messing around in the world, it was a nice break from GTA IV. Got it on steam again and had loads of fun again. definitely would recommend playing this game atleast once.
80/100, best game in the franchise.
This is my 2nd favourite behind Xbox SR2 and is probably the best pc port of all Saints Row right now. Game tries to connect to dead servers and freezes randomly for about 5 secs. This occurred about 17 times in 36 hours for me. I encountered no bugs or glitches but people will.
For it's age the game looks great, the city at night is beautiful. There's tons of clothes, vehicle and gang customisation along with activities, challenges and collectables. The story works but does suffer from a lack of grief and sadness and leans on comedy (which does work too) I'd say its worth picking up on sale or even at current price. There's plenty content for your money.
i've played this game since it came out on PlayStation and the way shaundi and pierce always argue towards each other amuses me and as for zimos i can't really get into detail whats funny about him other than to quote that saddle mission you have to do.
Its a GTA clone, only its fun! If you just want to drive fast and shoot things, this is the game for you.
increible el juego, de lo mas bizarro y mas divertido que he probado
the followers brains refuses to get in the car. poles hoes cones and a bunch of more shit gets stuck in the hood of the car. sometimes followers get right in my face intentionally when i shoot at someone. cars spawn right infront of me. amount of bugs and stupid shit happening is much worse than san andreas. i love my soul screaming in pain, i recommend 👍
it's a game and game is a game that games fun game but it's a game stay in the game games!
translation: it's fun.
In my opinion the strongest part in the series. 1 and 2 are laughable and hideous.
This is where the crazyness and sheer fun begins and the developer didn't want to copy GTA but mock it while creating something unique in the process.

The outrageousness of the scenarios encourages players to embrace the chaos, making for a truly memorable journey.

Dive into the madness and prepare for an unforgettable experience in the outrageous world of the Saints!
This game is more stable than SR4, while the player will crash eventually, saving and loading every 3-5 long missions will make it smooth.
The game is fun, you will get some laughs.
Co-Op experience is better than SR4, because you will crash and disconnect less. Yes, you will crash and disconnect. And will have to restart missions once you do. You better play solo first to actually have fun.
The full coop achievement run will take you anywhere near 10-11 hours, despite achievement making you think it's 5h. The story and activities just take that long. Even then, in the end both players, if you juggled hosts, should look at statistics and map and find the activities they lost via disconnect. Save often.
Overall, coop exp is tolerable, and not like in SR4, where you both are happy it finally ended (and is also buggy as hell).
TLDR - play it, it's fun solo.
For achievement about character upload you need to find some forum post called along the lines of "steelport something emulator" and fiddle with that little program.
*runs around wielding giant dildo*
What else is there to say???
That's really good stuff with toilets, dildos and feminization.
This was a nice surprise! I didn’t have any expectations going into it, so I was happy to be greeted with very outlandish missions, some funny moments & over the top vehicles/weapons. The AI & a few missions were frustrating, but overall this was great.
Very fun and silly. Quite crude but in a funny way like some of the weapons and side quests you can get. Main campaign is fun with some cool action set pieces. The customisation is good both for vehicles/clothing/character.
Only downside would be the bugs. I had vehicle noises not working properly and some other minor one's that would require a restart like not being able to get out of or move my car.
is bugged game that's inside a bugged game that has a bug inside the bugged game.
best way to describe this game
you can do a lot! shoot, run, fly, drive, be naked, see naked people, a lot of dildos, nice NPCs and you character can be bugged too.
NICE!
love these games. a few glitches that are annoying but only happen upon opening the game, all i had to do was restart and i was good to go. nothing game breaking.
i have never pirated a game and loved it so much within the first hour of gameplay that i immediately scrounged up some change to legally buy it until i played this game. i honestly cannot understate how insane and fun this game is, if you're coming into it expecting a carbon copy of something like gta you are sorely mistaken, i would best describe this as the bulletstorm of open world games. so far i've been impressed with everything down to the fact the music stations play real music that wasn't just made for the game (the metal station plays black veil brides!! like how cool is that??) genuinely cannot recommend this enough
great game, stable even with mods (albeit modding is somewhat limited)
What begins innocently enough as some slightly-zany, Fast & Furious-style action cutscenes & Wrestlemania-inspired melee takedowns eventually devolves into spandex-clad airborne superhero antics against armies of neon-clad cyberpunk go-gangers & mil-spec mercenaries.
Don't worry, though -- you're armed with your trusty purple dildo!
This title is best enjoyed cooperatively with a friend, and with tongue firmly planted in cheek.
Don't take this schlock too seriously, and you'll have a good time.
Constant performance issues regardless of quality settings. Game fails to start half the time. Randomly crashes even when nothing is happening. Game is fun but the numerous issues make it impossible to play consistently.
With over 600 Hours Ingame, I gotta Admit this isn't the Best Saints Row, that Award Goes For the 2nd Game, But this One is My Personal Favourite, There's some Things that does Suck, Like the Lack of Layered Clothing, The City is Boring As Hell. However, The thing that Kept me From Playing it to This Day is the Female Character Customization and the Female Eastern European Voice, it's so Cute and Sexy :F. Plus She Has A Crush on Pierce, Thirsty Boss :F, Also She Has a Voice Line in Wich I Found Out She is Cousin of Niko, Might Be a Reference to Niko Bellic? Who Knows.
If you Were Expecting a Decent Follow Up to Saints Row 2, You'll be disapointed, However Still Betther Game than the "Reboot" that No one Asked For.
The last stand of Saints Row before it fell headfirst into the pig's trough of reddit culture and wokeism.
the technical aspects are better than saints row 2, but that's it. I didn't think gameplay or story was as good as SR2. They killed off bro gat and left us with a sassy version of shaundi.
Pierce is the only cool companion left. But his charm was in interacting with gat and fun shaundi.
If you wanted real street gang style gameplay like in san andreas and sr2 this wont scratch that itch.
After fixing the game and trying to figure it all out plus having some performance issues for no reason it would go from 120 fps to 20 even after all that I can safely say this game is amazing the most out of top and ridiculous game you could get and still the story is alright isn't the best out there but you get the satisfaction for beating the game
8/10
I think they really achieved their goal when designing this game.
It's like Saints Row 2 if you were playing it in a drug fuelled rage.
Feel Boss.
As an open world game, it's a great success. You can just do whatever you want.
The customisation of everything, your character, weapons, cars, gang, it's all very satisfying and versatile.
The environment is vast and very detailed.
The engine and mechanics will rarely stop you deliberately. The only rare times you cannot do something, it's been scripted out because it would totally break the story or mission.
You can take it seriously and play very precisely, or just go as fast and explosively as possible, and both styles feel rewarding.
There are a lot of mad glitches in this complicated game environment, though. For some people that's a negative, for some people it's very funny. The engine does a great job to prevent any of it fatally breaking anything, a lot of work has gone into it. There can be a fully mad error, and the engine will just correct it through some crazy physics trick while you keep playing.
The story is fine for most people. If you came to it as a fan of the first two games, then the story is a bit shallow or less emotional once you get past the first act. In this game the story feels more like a reason or excuse for all the insane fun shit you will do.
For future games it could be exciting to introduce more management sim elements into the city takeover mechanics. More gang management or building.
you can hit random civilians with dildos and wear heavy's face mask from tf 2 and run around naked, all and all good game
(whoever counted the word "and" i will slaughter you and your family :) cool)
Aged extremely well. The game actively encourages and rewards you for having fun. Ignore the censored remaster, this version is all you need. Still the best Saints Row, and maybe one of the best open world action games period.
Damn the story, gameplay, and characters are lit 🔥
Old-school, gaming, fun... I missed it. It's still good.
Saints Row gets a 150% upgrade to its whimsy in this one. The cars are better, the guns are better, the graphics are better, the characters are better. You're locked in a gang war for territory of the city, gaining allies, doing side missions, and stealing cars to build back an empire versus Mexican luchadors and ninjas. It's fun and funny and fun to play.
One of the best games I've played in a while. This game perfectly walks the line between "what the hell is going on"-type ridiculous shenanigans, a good story and genuinely fun to play with third-person action shooter mechanics. I thoroughly enjoyed this!!
I've played through the game once, should do a 2nd playthrough soonish.
Story was super funny and the game didn't suffer from any crashes, imo thats all you need to know.
