Very fun crime game, go from crashed out to kingpin while fighting rival gangs, police, the military and even zombies! You get bases, "homies," cars and lots of guns. You can customize almost everything in-game as well!

Dont buy remaster imo this is superior version of game. They tone down so much in remaster and just UP THE BRIGHTNESS on everything the point everyone looks wet lol.

Amazing gta style game with silly humor, badass characters and one of the funniest deaths in gaming!

Remember how it feels to play GTA with Mods? that is how this game is right out of the box. Over the top stupid fun with some important moments immediately forgotten with the use of the infamous dildo bat. Although this game should not be taken seriously like GTA games, it is nice to see how a series went from serious gang violence to goofy gang violence because it can. in another way of thinking about this, GTA is to fine dining as Saints Row the Third is to a trip to Taco Bell; not great by any standards but sometimes you just want a beefy 5 layer burrito from an Uber Eats delivery instead of actually trying to enjoy yourself when suddenly remembering everyone at the steakhouse is wearing pants and fully dressed... and sober.

Game seems to only work without the freezing bug if you play in Offline mode. Since it's constantly trying to connect to some DRM server that is not in service any longer. There are guides to setup it in a way that you can play in online mode too, but the easiest way to make this game work is to simply just turn your Steam to Offline Mode.

Very fun physics, I love superman-punching and yeeting civilians from the top of a skyscraper.
Gun shots feel impactful.
Your car does more damage than it takes damage when crashing on stuff.

This is a childhood favorite of mines. i remember begging my neighbor to let me borrow it. he let me borrow it but took it back the same damn night.

This game is just fun and better than GTA although
most of the gameplay being like GTA. That said SR3
there are more fun activities you can do. Even most
of the missions are easy that's if you set the difficulty.
The story is good and used some characters from Saints
Row 2 while most of them are new. The game also has
many single player dlcs which it did better than GTA 5.
I would still prefer this SR game over the 2022 reboot.

I was a Saints Row baby and not a GTA baby and it shows.

I was like 10 playing this game on my uncle's computer and I don't know this game was just an absolute masterpiece and one of the most fun games I have ever played. I will never forget the influence this game had on me and how I grew up. I used to dress my male character in feminine clothes and I'd be super embarrassed when my mom or family walked in, and look at me, I grew up to be genderfluid. The influence the female boss's VA, Laura Bailey had on me is HUGE. I loved Lucina growing up and I still do, and videos like Lucina says that used this game's voicework always made me so jolly. This game feels like a love letter to me and I love it.

The last gem of the Saints Row series. I believe this was the last game to keep the humor and "saintsness" from the original games.

The subsequent titles just took a head dive off the deep end for... Well actual reasons. This game kind of ties a neat bow on how far the Saints series could be pushed, making them a celebrity crime syndicate.

So the subsequent games didn't really have much other places to go, other than space, hell and a reboot...

This one was where you got most bang for your buck though, the most stuff to do, some of the most insane missions and side missions, lots of open world stuff to indulge in. It is just generally very good at being a big ole sandbox of destruction and it has a pretty cool story too.

Saints Row moved on from its original reputation of a simple GTA clone to a title that embraced its excesses. Hardly the most demanding game, but fun throughout.

One of my favorite games of any genre. Fun for fun's sake.

Pro-tip: Don't skip the satchel charge weapon. I have probably spent 20 hours finding new ways to use those sticky menaces—my favorite being sticking them to the elderly and tossing those grannies into traffic. Behold, the gran-ade!

This game is crazy, irreverent, and chaotic. It's so much fun. Especially love doing co-op with a friend!

For a game that loves its explosions there's a lot of missions where you fail because you made something explode.
A shame Saints Row 2 doesn't run well these days as it's a game I'd recommend over this one every day.

This game marks the franchise's full descent into madness. It's great mindless fun in a big open world. What's not to love about that?

Ah, the perfect perfection of perfectness in its untouched glory. Awesome mix of unhinged absurd hilarity, dumb jokes, NSFW appendages to club your foes with and of course Genky's famous FUNTIME activity with exactly one winner. Uncensored, crazy, wonderfully optimized and about as good of a game as one could expect from that era. Getting some online achievements is impossible though and enabling in-game cheats completely borks any and all achievement progress but you know what?

It is FUN!!! With awesome soundtrack!! And Shaundi!

Stupid, good, fun time. Graphics might not have aged very well, but if you can see past them this is a good and entertaining game.

It is really not as good as I remember it being when I played it as a child, but it is still a fun game and I have good memories with it. But yeah it's a mid game.

This game is in every way a crude facsimile of its direct predecessors. A shallow, hollow experience that trades Saints Row 1 & 2's trademark contextual absurdity mixed with grounded, character-driven storytelling, for a deluge of cheap, unfunny, and dated pop culture references. This is all complemented by the game's complete and total mischaracterization of any returning characters who were deprived of the good fortune to have died in the second story mission of the game, its lackluster selection of gang leaders who more closely resemble C-tier comic book villains, and its utterly dull industrial city of a world map, totally deficient in interesting landmarks or unique explorable interiors. On top of all that, Volition really went for broke by removing the traditional story mission structure of SR1/2, and replacing them with glorified side activities, most of which are directly copy-pasted from Saints Row 2! And who can forget the new, improved engine that is somehow more buggy, clunky, and has more brain-dead AI than the SR1/2 engine could ever be accused of? Nobody that's ever actually played this game for more than an hour, that's who. Thank goodness for that engine upgrade though, because it really fits well with the horrendously boring, lazily designed, bullet-spongy combat. The video game equivalent of serving your dinner guests an exotic new recipe you've been perfecting on an expensive fancy plate, except the recipe consists of spider legs and fecal matter, and the plate is actually scraps of a cardboard box held together with duct tape.

Don't buy this game. Take the $10 and spend it on something more useful and fulfilling, such as Schedule I narcotics.

it's pretty silly, but if you want an arcade-y crime sandbox to mess around in, it's fun.

If you can stomach old smelly graphics, Saints Row 2 is a more complete package and a better story.
