Optimization dalm game ni memang x rilek sebab hampir semua devices aku main game ni semua lancar. So applaud untuk dev game ni. So total bintang aku bagi 7/10 ⭐.

The game is very fun and intuitive, and despite being a decade old it almost feels like it was made with the Deck in mind.

Really impressive work of enthusiasm from a group of people who clearly got into the Mad Max mindset while working. The physical spaces and the vibes are on but also the way people in this world think, what they value and fear, their cool slang-it's fleshed out and treated with a kind of brisk respect that makes it all feel alive. This game feels like an additional piece of lore that adds to the big picture as opposed to something that at best mimics what was already there. Not a billion different pieces to this game, more like 50, but they all fit snugly together to make an almost-perfect loop that never slows down. Every thing you do, say, see, and explore is completely on-theme and designed for this world, which makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, even as I crush another war boy's skull. Personally I would not choose the WB-style of combat and controls, but the world and everything else is designed for it, so it works-and is even fun.

Highly recommend finding everything on the map before you end it. The stronger your car is the better. There are a lot of repeating competitions and the side stories are a bit boring but all in all a decent game to waste the day away.

One of the very few games I can honestly say I've always had fun playing. It's never boring, it's never bad, it's always out there in its own way doing what it likes best. An open world racing/driving/car combat game with all the right bits and pieces in all the right places to add up to one hell of a package and of course, you can stick enemy drivers with a harpoon, yank them straight out of their driver seats and send them flying. It never, ever, gets old.

Mad Max, an open-world drive-around, guzzoline-drinking, crotch-kicking, anger-rather-than-thinking cinematic adrenaline pumper of a game with some flaws.....

You are Max, and you are Mad.... narrowly escaping death, thrown to the Buzzards, re-awakened by divine prophecy. In a harsh, deprived landscape, metal, fury and brimstone rules.... The Angel Combustion calls, of a weapon, a treasure.... The Magnum Opus, the tool to liberate the badlands.

You and your new side-kick Chumbucket (no joke thats his name) then set out seeking the parts required to realize the prophecy of the Angel, building the Magnum Opus and ultimately lead Max to what he wants.... Rvenge? Or Freedom? Redemption from his haunted past? What does Max really want?

So its an open-world collect-a-thon style game with many outposts, secrets, races and areas of interest to conquer. Yeah its not just driving, you're getting out and kicking everyone butts with Batman Arkham Asylum style combat and weapons in limited supply, which upgrading bases will give you a steady supply of when visiting.

So the game suffers a little from bloat and repetition and gate-keeping elements of the build in a linear fashion. But overall there is a fair amount of room to tackle as much of the game as you want to and decide when you are ready to press the story harder or spend more time strengthening yourself via liberation quests and car modifications. As such the completion time can vary by player and personal preference.

So yeah, lots of that Ubisoft style busy-work to flesh out run-time... but I like the visuals and the setting and the map is fairly large and explorable, even when outposts seems to be re-skinnned assets so unique landmarks are not that common.

Still a good game all around, I think to the degree of how much patience and willingness there is on your part to engage.

Got it on sale and had no idea it would be a really good game. I've always liked the whole Mad Max movie franchise which is what prompted me to get it in the first place but the game itself is actually pretty darned terrific! :)

a bit buggy at first, watch a couple youtube vids, kinda easy fixes, it's a old game gonna be some bugs - story not bad so far, voice acting pretty good, game play fun but repetitive.

It's odd of how good this movie adoptation is, one of the bests of its kind in my opinion. I enjoyed it quite much. It contains everything that is the essence of the desperate "civilization's endgame" Mad Max lore - and nothing that doesn't belong. None of the Mad Max movies were complicated and the game is true for that spirit. As so, it has a somewhat slower build than similar games but it's not a negative thing, not at all. Also it very nicely gels with the newer movies.

As for mechanics it feels like Batman: Arkham Knight in the desert with bigger spaces and more driving to fit the lore. If you have maxed out your Guitar Hero rhythm fight skills in the Arkham series before you will very rarely bite the dust here, making Max a nightmare of the desert but as a polar opposite of Batman, Mad Max takes no prisoners. Not recommended for kids. Too much hell and uncovered human nature.

Great game, even if it is a tad grindy. Grab this thing when its on sale tho and make sure you dont get too invested in grabbing all the achievements, cuz the servers dying caused 1/150th of the achievement "Up to The Task" to be impossible without the achievement manager lol

They nailed the core gameplay loop. I didn't even bother with main missions for a good 20 hours because driving, beating up bandits and tuning the car was such a great experience. The story... isn't very coherent but it's made after an action movie so no high expectations. It was fun.

I saw this game at release and it caught my attention, but I never got the chance to play it. I finally played it in 2023, and it still holds up, even though it's an 8-year-old game.
The story or rather, the whole game revolves around your car. Making it faster and more durable allows you to handle more and more, and it feels incredibly satisfying.
It's relatively short, it took me about 30 hours, and I was exploring a lot. That length is for the better — if it were any longer, it might have started to feel repetitive.

a bit of an under-rated gem in my opinion.
areas,combat and enemy designs can get a bit repetitive and samey (could also be because i went for 100% but yeah) but its still a great game and well worth it on sale.
similar combat system to batman games, so if you've played them it can be a breeze.

This is an excellent post-apocalyptic action-adventure game.
The greatest strength of this game is the huge map. It's really big with lots and lots of locations to scavenge, explore, drive through. At the beginning the entire map is controlled by the evil group - Scrotus. The point of the game is to liberate the various regions from the influence of those evil guys. You do that by destroying/conquering their camps, destroying their oil convoys, killing their military outposts, destroying their totems.....etc.....etc...
At the same time you help the good factions by building their forts/outposts (by finding project items scattered all around the map), you do quests for them and so on.
That is the core of the game.

Then you have the story missions. It's a matter of fact that there aren't actually many story missions. If you want you can just focus on the story and be done relatively quickly with the game.
But I don't recommend that. Because 1) that would be very hard - because you would have to do story missions with no leveling up, 2) you would miss the point of this game, which is to slowly explore, conquer the map little by little, region by region. You decrease the influence of the bad guys and at the same time you increase your own strength ( by leveling up your car and also Max's skills and attributes ).
So it's best to take your time, explore and level up, clear the map and only after that do the story missions. But the point is, you have the freedom to play this game the way you want it. If you aren't a completionist you don't have to explore every location. It's all up to you.
This game is based on the world of Mad Max but the plot is different from the movies. They created their own plot with unique characters and enemies.
The voice acting is high quality, with hired actors.

Some downsides: there isn't much to scavenge except scrap ( the currency in this game ), ammo, parts for expanding the forts and of course food and water, which are used to regain health. It would be nice if you can build your own shelter/house or if you could customize more the ally forts.
Near the end of the game there is a story mission where you have to beat a very hard race. It's very frustrating and you will need a lot of trying and retrying in order to beat it. You can gain insight online on some ways of how to beat that race.
There isn't practically any music in the game, only ambient sound.

I had a lot of fun. The game presents well the atmosphere and savagery of the post-apocalyptic world. I liked the photos and letters from the past that Max finds from time to time which contain insights on how the nuclear world war 3 tragedy unfolded and how people were desperately trying to survive.

WOW, I got this game on sale and for how great it was I would have gladly paid full price for it. Amazing game and a great story!

The story is nice. The "Up To The Task" is NOT achievable anymore, found out about it after 40 hours into the game.

Overall I love this game, kind of shame that I won't be able to reach full achievements to it.

Fun good game, the bug in one of the camps will prevent you from doing 100% on the game. Controls a sometimes flaky. Stil recommend it.

Driving is the best part of this game, as it should be, chum is my goat praise be the magnum opus, hate all the stronghold charcters, top dogs bosses are reskins, therefore 6/10

I'M GIVING A THUMBS UP for good adventure and interesting game-play . Good story, challenging and not too much grinding needed. I'm not into the blood and gore and I almost stopped playing the game, but the intriguing story and interesting setting combined with doing up cars and stronghold, convinced me to keep playing even though I was totally groused out by so many dead bodies hanging and rotting everywhere. Yuk. I had to look away every-time time and ruined the game a lot. I would travel for miles to avoid eating maggets from rotting bodies to gain health. lol... I suppose it had to fit the scene of MAD MAX lol... Anyway job well done. It would be good if it had an option to change blood and gore and Horror level at settings and options. Finally the put-off for me was also the fact that game keeps crashing and had to restart my PC. I noticed that my Bluetooth headphones was interfering with game and game crashed every-time I changed the volume trough my headphones up or down. So I deactivated many things running in the back-ground that may have been causing the crash or freezing of game. I was able to finish game with few crashes. was much better after that. I hope they make a new MAD MAX with the latest tech and better graphics. Overall a really good heart pumping creepy adventure, lol... I hope our world will never became like that. A really scary though.

This game old but still good to play, The beginning indeed like weird becauce the character shape like disgusting, you gonna adaption that character. This game so much fun. But to be some bug on travel fast it's like can't refuel petrol :( So you gonna driving long path to your destination and the for map to quiet no one npc on the road it's like just travel alone, you can't punch npc like GTA 5. My rate for this game 7,5/10

I loved the main story line and car customization. There is a bit of grinding to get the car you want. The side quests are kind of boring and repetitive. The characters, voices, and audio are wonderful. The battle system is fine but battles are repetitive. I have beat the game twice now and will probably come back in another year or so because of the beloved Magnum Opus and the roar of that Big Chief V8!

For $20 this is a must buy. There’s a ton of good mindless fun to be had with clearing the map and leveling your car. Story isn’t special…like at all. The ending of the story tainted my overall experience for a few reasons but f* it. Driving around was so much fun.

Great Game! Its just really fun to play. The relics of the old world you can discover give the game some flavor. Wish they would make another one with even more content.

this game is one of the best games i have ever played period. I 100% recommend this game and there is almost no reason to not play it.

Here I am, ten years later, finally playing this. It's pretty good. It gets a little repetitive and the ending is very anti climatic, but the fighting engine is solid, the graphics really hold up, the story is strong enough, and the driving is solid. Also, the customization is pretty great. It really has zero replay value though.

Didn't expect this game to be as good as it is, I got this game on sale but i can easily say it's worth the 20 buck price it's at normally. It is an open world game with a focus on it's vehicle combat and exploration. When you're not in your car your character is basically batman from the arkham series but with a shotgun. It's a blast to play and i can say this an unbiased person who's never seen the movies.

It was good until someone who became really close to you and should be considered as a priority up to that point dies.

This game is just dumb fun. It takes about an hour or less to learn the ropes and open up the full map. Racing around the map, vehicle combat, and upgrading your cars is fun. The ground combat is okay too, nothing groundbreaking but it's satisfying. However, like some of the Avalanche games I've played they setup a fun little game loop then just repeat the same things across a big open world. So it does get repetitive, but this is also what makes it dumb fun.

If you are looking for a game that you can just sit down and play without having to remember a bunch of control functions. Great progression and upgrades.

Never finished this game back when I played it on the PS Plus around 2018, so it was collecting dust on my backlog for years.

I found Mad Max to be my comfort open-world game. Cruising the wasteland with the Magnum Opus while firing thunderpoons at roadkills and buzzards feels really ironically peaceful. It's also a movie tie-in from what I've heard. The repetitive activities (death races, scavenging from ruins, clearing outposts) may not be for everyone, especially to those who are sick of them. But for some reason, it feels different here for me in ways I can't articulate.

I finally finished the game with a 100% after a little more than 60 hours, and I can say that it is pretty enjoyable to play for majority of your time on it.
The story is not very long but it doesn't have much development happen as Max is the same character that you meet in the very beginning. You can see what kind of direction that they were going for in the story with Hope and Glory, but it just ends so abruptly that I believe that they didn't have enough time to add the ending they intended.
The game-play is fun, it has Arkham Batman esque melee combat and a relatively well thought out vehicle combat (even though you arent going to be doing it all too much.)

My main gripe with this game is that one of the achievements are not possible anymore due to the servers being shut offline. So to complete it you need to download a save file online, and I thankfully found out early when I began going for it as my final achievement. Other than that the achievement hunt wasn't too difficult aside from the scavenging locations.

I had my fill and would recommend this game when it is on sale just for a bit of fun for a while.

a fun open world game. I'm not a huge fan of open world games as they tend to be repetitive. the same is true for this one up to a point, but it has a lot of soul behind it. story is OK, combat is fun, driving is really cool. all in all, a great AA entry.

Everything outside the plot is good about this game. Combat seems to be ported over straight from batman and vehicle combat is enjoyable. I would be lying if I said the plot didn't make me want to punch the writer in the face when everything else was done well...
