a First-person Views Horror Game.
After passing through a Torii gate, you've encountered a small temple which is not been found for several years and there was something sealed inside the temple. You are fallen into a strange place after touching it. There were someones who are not seemed to be a human. There's nothing you have but only an old lantern. From the strange place, you have to escape and return to the real world.
The story is motivated by a real urban myth of "Inunaki tunnel" and "A Forgotten Town"

I love the idea of Torii Path, and despite it being a Unity Game I had hoped for a good little story to play through. The typo's in the game's page were not enough to deter me, mostly due to the very low price.
I didn't mind the lack of entry tutorial or instructions.
And the kernal of the story is there... but it is hollow.
The story is that you accidently enter a 'lost village' of japanese myth, populated by soul-devouring monsters and you must find a way out.
Sound effects are in 2D. The creak of an opening door is as loud from right next to it as it is from across the map. The monsters are silent except when they notice you... why do they notice you? Sometimes its the lamp you have lit. If they are not close enough to kill you, you can turn the lamp off and run away. Otherwize, you are dead..start over.
You explore into a village and have to search the building for little Matryoshka-looking dolls that are hidden in rooms behind sliding doors. Rooms that are patrolled by the monsters. And are pitch-black dark.... and, you are dead..start over.
There was an inkling as to why the village was given over, something to do about a child. Exploring the houses should have revealed more about who used to live there and what had happened.
To the dev:
- fix the sound so the player can judge how close a threat might be
- flesh out the story and provide it, whether this is through finding notes/scrolls/whatever or simply popping text up at certain points in the game
- give the character some way to distract or mislead the monsters. Right now the best approach is to try to avoid them
- give the player some way to know that a monster is nearby. Perhaps scraping foot-step sounds and have them occasionally rattle, giving a clue that danger is nearby but not enough to know which door might be unsafe.
- fix the occasional typo's in the game
So far I'm actually have a pretty good time with this game. It's got a few scares and was just better than I expected overall. The budget is obviously low and the graphics aren't fantastic but there's just something to it....I'm not sure exactly what it is. There are these creatures that are attracted to your light. So, when you run into them, they scream and their limbs start flailing all over place and then run after you on the ground like a spider. But when they aren't chasing you, they stand up nice and straight and tall and walk slowly. They have extremely long fingers and limbs and are just really creepy looking. I gotta say, if you're a fan of games like Slender I think you might like this one.
If you're on the fence, check out my videos and decide for yourself. I've started a series on Youtube and will be uploading several more videos in the series over the coming days:
