In Here Comes Niko!, the cozy 3D platformer for tired people, you’ll play as Niko traveling across scenic islands. Make new friends, catch fish, solve puzzles, snag bugs, and more! With Here Comes Niko! you're in for the most laid-back adventure of your life!
My boss is a frog?!
I applied for a job at Tadpole Incorporated as a "professional friend". Now they want me to go to a bunch of islands to help everyone I meet. If I don't prove myself, I'm out of a job! Luckily the folks around here are kind. Kind and a bit weird. Should I just enjoy island life while I'm here?To clarify:
- Yes, my boss eats bugs and stuff.
- Yes, he does wear a tie.
- Type of frog? A green one?
- Everyone I meet seems to be some sort of animal. How did I end up here?
Sincerely,
Niko
How to be a professional friend
Hi, Pepper here. I'm an executive manager at Tadpole Inc.A professional friend is someone who is a friend to everybody! And who occasionally gets paid. On your journey, you'll meet many creatures that need help. Help them with catching fish, making art, or by just listening to their worries. If you're lucky you'll get a coin. Invest your coins in the railways so you can travel to new islands. Before you know it you'll be doing big business!
Travel tips
In Here Comes Niko you'll be able to explore 6 different islands! Play on Hairball City's lovely beaches, take a stroll through Salmon Creek Forest's luscious mountain trail, swim at the public pool. It's time to unwind, don't you think?Поддерживаемые языки: english, japanese

5/10
the game is a little flawed and glitchy, and the dialogue and scenes are a bit short, but it is such a cozy game and succeeds at it's goal of being comfort content!
actually took a bit of adjusting to, i almost bounced off it...but i found the vibe and im glad i did. i do wish u could chain your dive into a jump as any time i did it it felt almost unintentional, but otherwise the very very simple moveset is perfect for the game's open , undemanding , toybox levels, densely populated with charming quests and easy shapes and cute npcs, all of which can be rested from to play a little stress-free tamagotchi. its effortlessly pleasurable to play (if extremely buggy, but this is largely a non issue in a game not focused on friction and challenge) , but surely its greatest achievement is the emotional coherency. while not quite a surrealist game, its certainly dreamy, and the mundane realities emotions and anxieties bubbling under the fantastical sheen give the experience a disarming weight. it helps that those undercurrents are not at all cryptic (this isnt yume nikki or even anodyne), but neither do they feel like they deflate the sheen...they just let the emotions be interfaced with in a more direct way. just a very sweet and meaningfully queer lil game
A super cute platformer indie game with wonderful graphics. It's very colorful and eye catching!
Its the easiest game ever with really simple mechanics and a rather short length but its still a very strong 8/10
YEah!
Basically "What if Animal Crossing was a platformer". No real challenge. Pretty laid back, but that's what it's going for. Not totally my cup of tea, but I'm having a good time with it.

A very fun and cozy game! I bought this quite sometime ago, but decided to do a playthrough only recently. The game itself is quite simple, it's a 3D platformer where you do tasks to win coins, coins take you to new stages, then finally, the last stage. There are cassettes lying around stages where you can also exchange to coins later on.
The game does get a little repetitive on the sorts of objectives you have to do. It commonly asks to do similar things on other stages. The layout of the stages change, so some of those objectives change a little due to that. It's kinda like a fetch-quest 3D platformer. I had fun with the game, however, but it does felt a little that.
Objectives can range from helping an NPC getting fish, making art on the ground, a game of volleyball, parkour-ing on stages without touching the ground (which I thought it was really cool, I love doing that in games), some "arena-esque" areas where you have to collect bones, getting bugs to give to someone and so on. But, those objectives do repeat on stages, so it gets a little stale.
You can't do everything at once in a stage. You will eventually get some "phone numbers" that let you do more things on previous stages. I think this was a cool touch, but often times, it just added repeated things from other stages. For instance, two stages didn't had the NPC who asks for bugs, but after I got those phone numbers, it asked for me the same thing as the other stages.
It's not mandatory to collect every single coin to beat this game, so I guess it's up to you if you wish to really do everything, even if it means doing same things over and over.
You also are also able to get fruit pickups that doesn't seem to do anything for you. They are not mandatory to 100%, but are only useful for something that you only get to learn on the last stage.
There is a backstory behind this game that I won't spoil, but it really gave me the feels. You get to know slowly by each stage you go to, as well collecting bottles that have messages written by others or from Niko (the character you control as).
I will give it a Yes recommendation, but I'd go more into the Mixed side if you could put that on Steam. I think for what this is, the price is a little high ($25 or R$73,99 on Brazil). There is a lot of love and polish here, but still, it's a simple game and a lil' short. I'd recommend getting on a sale.
7/10
I suppose a cute and cozy indie platformer nowadays just can't go without some woke deep dark fantasies backstory. The developers don't seem to hide the nature of the game much, but it's still not entirely obvious at first glance. Wanted a cute and simple Paper Mario-like platformer, recieved a furry boy-kisser runaway "tragedy" in a form of one. Definitely not what i was looking for. Technically it's okay, i guess.
Cute little game for people wanting to get into gaming or want something laid back.
Cute cute game and artwork, kinda buggy, but its okay and relaxing to play.
Trans Rights <3
it's a cute 3d platformer. duh, anyone with eyes knows that. takes a lot of notes from A Hat In Time's playbook (the developers of that game published this one!), but it has enough of an identity to stand on its own. it's a little bit on the shorter side, and i was hoping for more updates, that with them, like AHIT, more stuff was gonna be added slowly after release, but it seems that's not the case, and that's completely fine, just a little sad. it's a pretty easy game, anyone can pick this up and finish it and probably 100% it (the only time i had to look stuff up was with some really badly placed collectibles, though there's not many like that, and during 3 "NG+" flower puzzles, because i lack patience lol), so the barrier for entry is very low. the visuals would sometimes glitch out for no reason, and some of the playable area turned invisible, as well as the greenery turning very low-res. i don't understand why this is a problem, but it was a thing that irritated me for most of the game. that's the only criticism i have, which isn't a lot for a game i enjoyed loads of. if you enjoy cutesy relaxing stuff, this game will definitely fit the bill for you.
:)
Loved the game (and 100% it :3), but steep price :c
Super cute platformer with an incredibly charming and vibrant 2.5D artstyle :] easy achievements, adorable characters, fun writing, tons of frogs!! <3
im loving this game but why touching a box makes me go mach 5
really really cute game, i'd play some thousand of hours of this.
i would just remove the "bump frogs 1000 times", come on guys
Me and my friend found this game on the switch store at 2 in the morning. One of my fav games now. Really cool and relaxing story with really dark possible abuse undertones.
very cutesy pawesomesauce game..,,, PLEASE PLAY!!!!
Many fans of Hat in Time seem to be disappointed in this for the lack of platforming. But that's not what I'm here for. I'm here for the lovable puns, references and overall charm of trying to befriend as many people as possible. And on that front it sure as hell delivers!
Saw this at an AGDQ recently and thought it looked wonderfully charming; happy to report that it is! As a "game for tired people", it does really fit the bill as something to hop into while decompressing from a work shift. It's not perfectly stress-free or anything, and there are *some* reflexes required, but it never really feels punishing. It's just about exploring and finding little surprises that get a laugh out of you.
I will note it does tend to struggle a little mechanically here and there - bumping into 3D boxes almost always breaks the physics and teleports you, I ended the game with one coin on one map simply electing not to register (you can still get 100% completion due to extra collectibles set just in case but that feels weird a fix) - but the movement tech is just on point. It's just fun to run, jump, frolic, and help out. Easy, easy recommendation.
short, sweet, and very very cute. If the idea of a chill platformer for tired people intrigues you, you should give it a shot - it's not gonna take you long to beat it, even for a relative platforming novice, but it's a delightfully charming experience the whole way through.
A very charming an fun 3D-Jump'n'Run! =)
Really fun traditional 3d platformer with some cool mechanics and great game play. The artstyle is trippy and it's got a heartwarming, fun story.
Is a bit pricey for the length ( 5 hours) / production value. So wait for a sale if your budget is limited.
the gaming version of a cozy sweater its cute, relaxed, and calming
Adorable cozy 3d platforming collectathon.
To quote Beebz Demonturf, "You have a talking frog, of COURSE I want to be friends!"
Chill game with Animal Crossing vibes in a 3D platformer with Paper Mario aesthetics, but the game felt super short, a bit glitchy, and the ending didn't really feel like an ending. It was mid, so I can't really recommend it. 5/10
Who let them make a game this adorable and fun to control? Is it even allowed to make a game this cute while also having a story that is surprisingly relatable to me right now?
Super cute! Puzzles and platforming aren't too hard, so if you're like me and typically not good at those you'll still have a nice time. Characters are adorable, story is simple but effective. A few bugs but nothing that really hurts the experience. Achievements are also super doable. Definitely worth picking up for a casual experience.
A lovely little platformer
When you don't randomly get stuck while walking, it's pretty fun
this is me in real life if u were wondering :3
cute and easy, very fun
dont play this game, handsome frog WILL rizz you up and you WILL fall in love
A cute game where you just run around levels collecting things and doing mini games (to collect more things)
Wish it had a little more of a challenge to it. Everything is pretty easy so after awhile I was just rushing to the end. It's also pretty short to finish the main story, but looks like there's a lot of hidden things to find and extra things that open up after you finish it.
The writing was hit or miss for me, some lines felt like they were trying too hard to be quirky, but there were some jokes that genuinely got me to laugh out loud.
Platforming is basically non-existent, but a very cute and short game nonetheless.
If you like frogs you will love this game
This game is very cute and comforting, it made me want to explore every little corner of each level, talk to every npc more than once, try everything that crossed my mind because most of the time there was actually something to find! I adored torturing my boyfriend with the handsome frog, I'd tell him "talk to that frog over there, he has something to say" and when he'd see the name he'd groan and laugh and read what awful funny pickup line he'd get this time. Just a really fun experience <3
Cute I guess
I'm definitely not the target audience for a millenials "cozy" frog game to play while eating avocado toast, but I enjoy Here Comes Niko.
In all seriousness though, it's a fun and breezy 3D platformer with a cute world to explore and engage with.
If you love 3D platformers, it's worth £20.99 - and if you see the game on sale, then you absolutely must pick it up.
Wow, if taken from the right point of view the platforming and the challenges can really be considered both cozy and an interesting, even without being that difficult. And all the odd (in a positive way) characters you help and/or talk to makes it even more fun, most of all when there are those bizarre moments and/or dialogues.
It delivers what the game said and more, and I am happy to still confirm that when Gears for Breakfast is involved in a platformer it never lets you down.
Cute, relaxing game. Not as intense as A Hat in Time.
Really chill with substance. Worth a play especially when trying to relax.
An amazing game, I would recommend it to all those who like games for maximum relaxation and enjoyment of life, fgox :3
Reminds me a lot of a short hike or haven park, very chill and fun game.
Very charming platformer game!
A hat in time but not A hat in time it's good PLAY IT NOW!!!!!!! >:)
Adorable all the way through
