Человечество исчезает с лица Земли, на смену ему пришли роботы. В первой игре The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day главным героем был робот-изобретатель по имени «Ар-ти», который случайно оказался в рядах небольшой группы роботов, пытающихся помочь немногим уцелевшим людям.
В The Uncertain: Light At The End мы увидим постапокалиптический мир глазами одной из выживших — девушки Эмили. Игроку вместе с ней предстоит выяснить, что стало причиной исчезновения людей: вышедший из-под контроля искусственный интеллект или же нечто иное?

Good game, just too short.

TLDR; it's not worth it even if it's free. You get 5 whole hours of "game" (visual novel)
Buggy as shit game. It's like life is strange but worse... and that's saying something. English dub over is not very good so I switched to Russian. Very stiff facial animations and characters in general. So much clipping. This felt like a dude's first game they made in a basement which is weird since it's definitely not. Crazy story that makes you feel like you missed something somewhere. Weird cuts between scenes. Plays like a 3d visual novel. Some choices which you can make. Also a crazy bit where in the sewer level... what if a player just didn't pick up the wrench. Then they would've walked all the way to the puzzle part and found that they didn't have the thing to open a door and probably rage quit. Insane. Anyways the only pro in the game was seeing a bunch of random references to other ip's. Is it copyright? oh yeah. Do they care? probably not.
An interesting story driven game.
I occasionally enjoy an alternative to action games. This had me engaged for the full story.
Decent graphics, writing and voice acting. No bugs or crashes.
The ability to skip the puzzles and move on with the story is also refreshing.
I would like to see a sequel
Before playing this game, you need to temper your expectations. it is not exactly a bad game, but it is not a good one either. There are bugs that really hinder the enjoyment. The best way I can describe The Uncertain: Light At The End is that it is a very basic game. There is not much depth to it. It is a small and straightforward title developed by a small team. Facial animations are practically non-existent. Despite all the jank, the game isn't boring. I played till the end and felt like I got my money's worth out of it. For the record, I bought it on sale. Overall, it is an OK game that ends on a cliffhanger and I am not sure we will ever see it resolved—final score 5/10.
I only played for a bit, but I couldn't enjoy this game at all even though I somewhat enjoyed its prequel (The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day). While I expected awkward control and animation, the story and characters bore me so much. I also feel bothered by the fact human-sized robots perform patrolling, without also putting a bunch of cameras and sensors to detect human presence.
Just a fun and simple point and click puzzle game with a good story and nice characters mostly. They do gloss over parts of the story that would make better levels than the ones they actually made, but it's still fun.
Just like the first game, The Uncertain: Light At The End sets up some interesting story beats only for them to never go anywhere. It essentially connects with the first game's ending, but not until the last few minutes, and since the third game will never happen, it all goes nowhere. Unlike the first game, TU:LATE features actual humans trying to survive in a world ruled by robots. Judging by the facial animations and movements, those humans also seem to be robots in disguise - at the very least, they have a hard time showing any emotions or more than rigid movements.
As a result, the story isn't really all that convincing and the characters range from annoying to bearable, but they all have one-tone personalities that, obviously, do not get any time to develop in a game that is only four hours long. As for the gameplay, it mostly consists of finding objects in the environment and solving some simple, if heavily misplaced, puzzles. A lock doesn't need a puzzle that a fifth-grader can solve; that won't keep anyone out, especially after you already found a key anyway.
Honestly, though, this all sounds unnecessarily harsh, but I am upset that this supposed trilogy never got a third game to shine. There are good ideas here; just like in the first game, the desolate, (mostly) human-less environment builds up atmosphere, the soundtrack is very well done and the general ideas in the story make sense, even though they aren't executed in the most convincing way. There are even some mini games you can play and a very simple morality system. The puzzles can all be skipped if you just want to focus on the story, though I would recommend doing them. It's a game hamstrung by it's budget and/or lack of experience, but you can tell there's a seed here that never got a chance to fully blossom.
Overall, I will give it a thumbs up because the gameplay part itself is mostly inoffensive and it stands as a good introduction to a universe that never really evolved in the way it should've. If you can look past some clunky animations and the simple gameplay, The Uncertain: Light At The End and the first game, Last Quiet Day, are interesting games to check out, at least under the pretext of getting a glimpse into something that never came to be.
played the first 30 minutes of it. it's a half baked game that is boring, the animations look stiff and the facial animations look lifeless, the graphics are nice but the game runs like garbage and the story just wasn't interesting enough to hook me, just can't recommend it
REALLY COOL FUTURISTC GAME
This product is a good example of how not to make games...
On the plus side:
- the graphics (except for the poor animation) are pretty good 3D,
- the beginning of the story seemed quite interesting and intriguing. At first, everything really started out well as for a visual novel, even reminded me of Life is Strange. But that's where all the pros end.
Everyting else is cons...
There is very little gameplay in the game, it essentially consists of searching for objects and solving puzzles. The puzzles are extremely stuffy, although I like puzzles, but in this game they are so stuffy that I didn't want to solve them at all, and why solve them if the developers made it so that you can just skip them and continue playing as if nothing happened? There are a couple of moments when you need to press a button (shoot a robot, jump over an obstacle) and a couple of dull stealths. That's where the gameplay ends. I would even be ready to forgive the developers for the dull gameplay, bugs and poor animations, if the game had at least a more or less complete plot. But alas... as I wrote above, although the story started out quite interestingly, but the closer to the end of this so-called "game" the more it seemed that the developers' imagination and desire to continue were completely exhausted. As a result, the game ended essentially with nothing, like a truncated, extremely ridiculous ending. It looks more like some kind of demo version, or alpha version. If it were a demo, it would be bearable, but it's not... So in the end I regret wasting several hours on this game.
My rating is 3 out of 10, very bad, the developers should have been ashamed to release such a raw and unfinished product.
