For as many hours I put into this game, I am reminded of how repetitive a lot of the game play can be. I mainly kept playing as I wanted to fully get all of the achievements and the story was fun. However, then the Fate of Atlantis DLC struck. I cannot play it on my PC without the game crashing. And from what I can tell, there is no fix for those with AMD GPUs. I am trying to play it on another PC that is not AMD, but not sure if I will have the patience to get across the finish line.
A big fan of the series and loved this entry as well, but game has somewhat moved away from its roots. Loved the graphics but still miss the old gameplay
The game is probably overall the best game I have played for single player fun. The game was educational developing the time frame of the Spartan and Trojan era of history and very very detailed. I have played single player and MMO games since 1996 so that says alot about the game. I have played EQ, EQ2, Star Wars the Old Republic, all of the Diablo except IV, Elder Scrolls Online, Assassins Creed Valhalla, Origins and Mirage and the list goes on. So I do not say this lightly. HOWEVER, they game started crashing/locking up about a year ago. I have attempted to try to get UBISOFT to help the figure out what happened. I am 80 years old and all this webpages and links and go here and do this and do that is quite overwhelming to an old man. I have even ask them to all me (a solid customer) and I cant even get them to do that. So no due to customer support of this game and anything else marked UBISOFT I really cannot suggest to anyone to spend their money and play games of UBISOFT. Sorry guys.
Odyssey is not really “an AC game”, but honestly, it is still an absolute master class of an RPG and the best "AC game" since the Ezio trilogy. The game feels like going on a long holiday to Greece, where you want to return every year. I recommend choosing Kassandra as the playable character, since she is the canon Eagle Bearer.
A Beautiful World, But Lacking Depth
Assassin's Creed Odyssey is undeniably a stunning game in terms of visuals, with its vast open world of ancient Greece offering breathtaking views and a rich, historically-inspired setting. However, despite its impressive scale, the game falls short in several key areas that ultimately hinder its potential as a truly great RPG.
First, the gameplay can feel repetitive. While the world is large and full of activities, many of them feel like filler rather than meaningful content. The side quests often lack variety, with numerous fetch quests and repetitive objectives that make the exploration feel tedious. The sheer number of quests also becomes overwhelming, and it's easy to get lost in a sea of tasks that feel more like chores than exciting adventures.
The combat, while visually flashy, can feel mindless at times. The skill tree offers many different abilities, but most of them don't feel all that impactful in battle. It quickly becomes a game of spamming abilities rather than engaging in tactical, strategic combat. The game also leans heavily into grindy mechanics, especially when it comes to leveling up and upgrading gear, which can be frustrating for players who are just looking to enjoy the story.
Another downside is the narrative. While the main story has potential, it feels disconnected and unfocused. The plot is bogged down by unnecessary choices that don't feel as meaningful as the game would like you to believe. The protagonist, while voiced well, feels more like a blank slate rather than a compelling character with a defined personality.
Finally, the RPG elements, while expanded, sometimes detract from the core experience of Assassin's Creed. The shift to a more loot-based, level-up system feels like it clashes with the series' roots in stealth and parkour. The open-world design, though expansive, loses the tight focus and immersive narrative that earlier entries in the series excelled at.
Assassin's Creed Odyssey is a game that has great potential, but it gets lost in its own vastness. The world is beautiful, but the gameplay can be repetitive, the story lacking, and the RPG elements feel out of place in the franchise. It’s a game for those who enjoy open-world exploration but falls short for anyone looking for a more focused, meaningful experience.
ACO with improvement version(ACO DLC)
personal thought this game is ACO(Assassins Creed origin) with DLC.
this game did had nice save and cloud sync, the game didn't force you to do "main mission", with really huge list of the lore and items to collect and browser around, for most of the times you fighting in ground, still it bring ridiculous amount of fun to fight on sea battle, the bad thing are the sea battle too short
the side mission had "story" huge maps and well setting instead of padding, much refine story lane and dialog, the main character is a speech teller instead of speechless deaf.
smooth route system for mount, this time there are decent sea battle and ship battle, the invader battle are repetitive and boring, you only fight in horde mode in a large space, there nothing special and fun by fighting like this, all you do just kill amount of enemy to win it.
buy it when discount, it worth your prize
Barely runs on a RTX 2080ti and 9700k paired with 32gb of ram. Actual trash.
I do not like to write bad reviews but this game has been a severe disappointment. i have an nvidia rtx 4060 intel i7 13700. The game wont launch. it crashes every time. I have numerous other games including ubisoft games that run every time. This is the only game that wont run. I have configured settings to run on the nvidia card as well as every other possible setting. I contacted ubisoft support. this is a major disappointment.
This game was designed to be frustrating slow to progress and to force you to grind for XP in order to see more of the story. Which is why when you boot it up, they prominently flash a cash shop in front of your face to sell you XP / gold boosters for 1500 helix credits which you can only buy in increments of 900/1000.
Did they think their consumers wouldn’t notice or that we were that dumb? It’s no wonder Ubisoft is a flaming train wreck right now. Hopefully they don’t do the same BS with Shadows or else that will fail as well.
Fortunately there’s a mod on Nexus (for PC players only), where you can build the 50% boosts in your exe file for free. But I can’t recommend any game / company that uses sleazy mobile tactics like this on a single player experience.
One of my favorite Assassin's Creed games, I played this one on xbox first and i loved it so much that it got me into the rest of the franchise. Like any other AC games, its strongest aspect is the historical setting (although in this one there are some pretty a-historical things, such as Sparta having a navy...) and the combat is also wonderful. The main story itself is also nothing to sneeze at, either. Complicated family dynamics as well as Ancient Greek political intrigue are its main aspects, and I do believe the game does them well. While not for everyone, its definitely worth a try if you like open-world games, historical settings and intruiging main stories.
Although this games soundtrack is simply amazing and the parkour is super good, and the visuals are stunning, the gameplay is pretty bad a lot of the time.
The AI is braindead, there are constant bugs and the swords, at least at the start of the game are basically just retextured pillows.
There is the argument that this helps make the player want to progress, but there is also the point that the game progression is simply shit, and the game devs were to lazy to implement actually interesting game progression.
Overall the game is pretty 50/50 Wether it's enjoyable or not, considering both the quite bad gameplay and the great and stunning open world.
I loved this games so much that i wanted to have it on Steam as well (not a big fan of Uplay you might say), so the hours i've played here don't match the real ones!
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is aptly named. It is an enormous, meandering journey through ancient Greece at the beginning of the Peloponnesian war as the struggle between Sparta and Athens begins to reshape the Greek world. It will shock you with its breadth and depth: the sea hides sunken ruins, the detail of temple paintings is impeccable, authentically clothed characters wander enormous cities whilst chatting in Greek, soldiers clash on roads as citizens scatter.
You play a mercenary, choosing between the equally statuesque and self-assured Kassandra or Alexios. There is an element of family drama that propels the story forward in counterpart to the overarching historical drama of the setting. The script is exactly the same for both characters.
Decisions play a prominent role, and optional romance has been introduced for the first time, though it’s underdeveloped. It’s fun to see Alexios flirt with a confidence that would make Aphrodite blush, but perhaps “romance” is too strong a word for these throwaway flings. Oddly, some "objects" of your (very fleeting) desire can occasionally be recruited as lieutenants on your ship, where they stand around in silence, gazing at nothing until a battle breaks out.
Odyssey’s writing is good, skillfully navigating humor and emotion, though it would benefit the game if it trusted its writing more instead of throwing combat into situations that don’t need it.
At the beginning, the game feels too slow, teasing you with a range of combat abilities but then making you painstakingly unlock each of them. The “spartan kick” ability deserves especial acclaim: kicking enemies off cliffs, boats and battlements never diminishes in satisfaction. This isn’t a game for people who like to speed through a story; after 50 no-nonsense hours the end is still nowhere in sight and if you add the DLC's to it....trust me it will be a loooong playtrough!
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is satisfyingly authentic. The sunlight and baked earth of Crete with it's STUNNING views (all maxed out and in 4K it's a PURE JOY), and the buzz of conversation in Athens made it feel alive. It is not a direct re-creation of ancient Greece, but an entertaining world of Ubisoft’s invention, and you get to stride through this place as a capable and instantly likable character. Not everything that Odyssey ambitiously attempts is successful, and it greedily consumes your time, but I’ve relished the many hours I’ve spent with it. One of the best, if not the best Assassin's Creed to date.
Didnt quite finish this years ago when i played on ps4, getting back into it in 2024 reminded me how good this game actually is.
If you were a fan of blackflag this game has some similarities that you will like such as the naval battles and ship mechanics.
Combat is good because if you are decent you can head on most big battles and do ok, or you can stealth your way through the map and have some fun with that too.
The map is huge and honestly is much better in its layout than valhalla is.
If you havent played this and are on the fence when its on sale id say go for it, its a pretty solid game overall and can be a surprising amount of fun to explore the world and get into giant battles.
Assassin's Creed® Odyssey is one of the games that will remain in my heart for many years to come. The game is so beautifully crafted.. graphics, environment, vegetation, just beautiful. The combat system is not like the usual Assassin's Creed, it's something different, but once you get used to it, you won't mind. I've played it several times and 100% and I haven't been bored even once.
Don't let my hours fool you. I've played over 300 hours on console. THis is one of the greatest RPGs ever made; roleplaying essentially as a greek demigod is beyond fun. Your choices DO matter and they have impact. it's deep, albeit a little bit too long; but severely underrated.
game would be good if i could play it so buggy got an hour in and couldnt move the character multiple times and had to restart and that would only work sometimes
There is no a mixed review available hence I'll have to go with the negative one,
Don't get me wrong it's not a bad game in all aspects, but it's a bad game in majority of aspects.
Pros:
- not a bad story and campaign
- variety of skills, which are kind of bland in the long run
- open world, huge open world
Cons:
- Denuvo, this crap is taxing PC hard
- Ubicrap account, for some reason for me for extended 1hr+ game session it simply makes the game unplayable
- Combat and sieges, gets repetetive very often
- Upgrades, those are costly AF, so it's a real time sink but in the end, you hardly feel any difference after all
- in game shop, because fc you
- huge map with checklist like aims, go there do this, speak with this and that's 90% of those quests, it gets boring
- Bounty hunters are well, pretty much combination of 3/4 different builds and they spawn out of nowhere all the time until you either pay
- higher difficulty, the enemies are just more spongy and well that's it.
All in all, it's ubicrap and i'm allergic to this company now, so my opinion is biased, buy on a sale, big a$$ sale
Requires ubisoft connect login to play. Nope. No more self important launchers for me. Will avoid all future ubisoft games due to this.
Overall the story was meh, and the gameplay was the same as any other AC game. But the length of this game is awful. Nothing happens in the story until around the 112 hour mark, and the story doesn't really get going until around the 160 hour mark. I finally finished the game around 225 hours (my save file, not what Steam reports), which is far too long for an AC game. I was used to previous installments like Origins and Unity, which took 120 hours and 40 hours respectively. The story in Odyssey could have been condensed a lot more, and personally I felt there was no need to drag it out for 200+ hours. I wouldn't recommend this game in the AC franchise to anyone, because it just takes too darn long to really accomplish anything.
Despite being ubisoft this is a very addictive game with beautiful cities and landscapes. Doesn't feel like an ac game yet its one of the best. RPG is well implemented with a lot of gear choices and freedom without being valhalla nonsense or origins lack luster level. yes its grindy but there is reason to grind and it feels rewarding For 90% off its a must buy since you can get 100-200 hours easily without replaying the game once.
Can't play for more than 10 minutes before it crashes then it continues to crash upon save load. I've only been able to play this game for consistently 30 minutes once. All the other time is from trying to find fixes and changing settings. Horribly optimized game. Horrible port.
Fantastic mix of third person action game and loot collecting ARPG set in a jaw-dropping recreation of ancient Greece. Technically ran great, no crashes at all, only odd little bugs every now and again, like someone sitting on an invisible chair, but that's to be expected in a game this size. I honestly didn't expect to like it a much as I did, I often struggle to finish long games but I plugged away at this for months. The second expansion Fate of Atlantis was longer and more enjoyable than many full games. Pick up complete edition on a sale, you also get Assassins Creed 3 Re-mastered and AC Liberation with the season pass for pretty much the best value of money I've spent on Steam. Fans of classic AC games be warned though, this game's great in it's own ways but it's totally different.
Played the game for almost 100 hours, had fun with it. Until I lost all my progress. The game has cloud saves on Ubisoft connect. Same ubisoft connect that somehow corrupted all my save files making me lose all progress.
I won't ever replay it again because Ubisoft can't have a working launcher.
The world of Assassin's Creed Odyssey is simply stunning—Ancient Greece brought to life with incredible detail - it’s a joy to explore.
Greek history & mythology adds so much to the experience, and Kassandra is hands down my favourite protagonist in the franchise. She’s fierce, funny, and full of heart, making every moment with her memorable.
The game offers endless hours of fun - whether it’s sailing into battle, uncovering myths, or just getting lost in side quests.
If I had to mention one slight gripe, it would be the combat. Whilst at times it is great and fluid, it can start to feel a little repetitive in the later stages of the game. This is more down to the sheer length of the game than a flaw in combat mechanic, I believe.
Even so, I find myself returning to this title, over and over again, first on the Xbox and now relived through Steam, rediscovering the world and enjoying the adventure all over again.
In short, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey isn’t just a game; it’s a journey. For me, it stands as a shining beacon of what this franchise can achieve—epic, enthralling, and utterly unforgettable.
Main story very fun but after it become repetitive because you need to do tedious side quests to level up.
the leveling system makes trying to just follow the main story impossible as you need to do all the sidequests to be the right level. And if you are just a few levels down you do almost no damage, even with assasinations.
Its a pretty fun ubisoft open world RPG, not sure why its called Assassins Creed though.
There is no need to be stealthy at any point of the game, but if you yourself decide to play stealthy it is viable and fun.
The story and characters arent very impressive, but the world is and I had fun exploring it, aswell as collecting new equipment and building my character. The supernatural elements from the AC world are particularly present in this game, so be ready to fight minotaurs.
The monetization scheme is surprisingly generous. The DLCs add a lot of content, mainly Atlantis. The First Blade DLC is a pretty futile attempt to somehow link the story to assassins and AC Origins (and as mentioned the story isnt this games strength), but it adds enough stuff to justify buying the the whole thing on sale instead of just the Atlantis DLC. The items from the in-game shop are also available at a vendor for an ingame currency available from weekly and daily missions. The vendors selection is randomized every week, so its hard to find specific items, but playing regularly (a couple hours per week) you can get basically everything you want.
We've gone full RPG which means lots of missions and a huge world, though sometimes missing the mark a bit
+ Return of ship portions that actually matter
+ Characters are really fun
+ bird is back
- I accidentally completed the epilogue without knowing, thus kinda ruining my ending
- it is very long and thanks to the very seperate quest lines its easy to forget the story
- Romance options are a very weird addition that felt totally unimpactful
An odyssey:
1. The best combat of all three games (Origins vs Odyssey vs Valhalla).
2. The grand open world, together with full naval combat.
3. An endless conflict. (Sadly, we have no fortress/castle of our own to claim and hold.)
9+/10.
Singleplayer MMO-RPG simulator with microtransactions, but I liked it. Won't buy another AC though.. until they stop microtransactions and make actually good game.
those assassins really were on an odyssey
Actually unplayable, I installed DLC a while after playing this game and the game will just not launch anymore, no matter what I do. I tried contacting customer support, but of course they just deleted my request. I have never been this infuriated with bullshit UI, but Ubisoft continues to disappoint me in all areas. Fuck Ubisoft and their stupid app and fuck me for thinking that I would have fun with a Ubisoft game. Please do not waste your money on a game that won't work.
Game Without Issues: 7/10
Game With Issues: 0/10
My absolute favorite assassin creed game. Gameplay is the strongest in the series however it is not the strongest in terms of story elements compared to origin, black flag, ezio trilogy.
I love Kassandra. Did I mention I love Kassandra? The world is so damn pretty and Kassandra... did I talk about Kassandra yet? Love her. Honestly not a AC game at all, but a fucking awesome open world action RPG. And I have the biggets crush on Kassandra. Alexios is fine too... I guess. I would not know, I never played him. Why would I when there is someone like Kassandra? xD Ubisoft "strong females" are always shit, but when they clearly wrote a role for a male character and make his gender changeable without altering any dialogue, it results in a truly compelling female character free from all the "modern cool girls have to be big ugly bitches who need no man...or woman...or anyone" trope. Kassandra is cool for fucks sake. Not cause she needs to be a female icon, not because she is a forced minority. There is no cringy "Oh, cause I'm a woman?" situation, she never nags about her gender, she never is reduced to being seductive because she is a woman (as the other half of these stupid extremes nowadays often write women). None of these annoying ass tropes. No oversexualisation, no "portray her super manly". Altough she clearly is tough, as a assassin like her has to be. But yeah, she's just cool like that.
The game have lots of cutscene, mechanics and beautiful graphic. It could be difficult at the beggining of the game but as you progress more, the game become more fun. This game also very suitable for those who are looking to spend time for awhile. As i write this review,i have 120 hours on the game and still not finish it yet.have fun :)
very glitchie, the further into the game the worse it glitches and abilities stop working during battles. i regret this purchase. apparently the problem is only on the steam purchase.
One of the best games Ubisoft has made. The attention to detail in the world design of Ancient Greece is immaculate that it is even used by historians as actual depictions of that age. It doesn't feel like an AC game but it does feel like you are stepping into your own Odyssey.
A wonderful game all around.
Play this before Valhalla. I got out of the AC franchise a decade ago, because I found the gameplay really formulaic and grindy. If you're a player like me you were lured back into the franchise by Valhalla, and now you're thinking about whether or not you should play any of the games that came before it. The answer is you should play this one. Origins was fine, but more of a standalone. This game bleeds into Valhalla in a number of great ways. I finished the game and all the DLC last night and I already miss Kassandra. This game is incredible. If you like games similar to The Witcher, Red Dead Redemption 2, etc, you will love this.
It's a very beautiful world, graphics are top notch, a very technically impressive game. However, the game is overly long and the gameplay is not varied, prepare for a big grind! It's basically an RPG, similar to Witcher 3, but Witcher 3 has a far more interesting story. Gameplay is nothing special, but it is fun to sneak around enemy camps. The game is so long and grindy that it feels like a relief when you have finally completed it. I did not feel any interest in playing the DLCs, I got my fill from the main story.
I always get confused when people complain about Origins or Odyssey.
They are grand adventure games, with a focus on stealth but option to focus of straight combat.
The locations look amazing, even in 2024, the naval battles are great, the story is engaging, the voice actors are great!
9/10 game, definitely worth buying.
Amazing game. Maybe the most beautiful game I've ever played. There are many games that are more graphically impressive, but the detail and world design in this game is incredible. There's very few things that I dislike about Odyssey, but the things that I dislike are big things.
My main criticism revolves around the combat. Enemies are damage sponges. You'd think it's to encourage stealth, but most enemies don't die immediately from your assassination attacks. If you want them to die immediately, you'll have to create a build optimized for assassinations. For the majority of the game you will be using random gear that you find. Around level 50 is probably when you'll start making real builds. It's a very slow game. Don't start it unless you are gonna commit to it.
The second thing is that the game is way too big. There's too much. It might seem like an odd criticism, but when you play for yourself you will understand. All my play time is just one playthrough. I did all you can do and it was exhausting.
I don't see myself ever playing again, but I really enjoyed the game. The story was great, though predictable. A lot of very intense emotional moments. The Atlantis DLC is massive and awesome. The Legacy DLC is good too. I definitely recommend the game to others. Especially people who like Greek history
"Assassin's Creed Odyssey" is an incredible action RPG that takes you on an epic journey through ancient Greece as a Spartan mercenary caught between Athens and Sparta. The graphics are gorgeous, bringing Greece's landscapes, cities, and landmarks to life. The open world feels huge and alive, inviting you to explore everywhere—from mountaintops to the depths of the sea—packed with quests, secrets, and plenty to discover. The story is shaped by your choices, giving you multiple main story paths that make each playthrough feel unique. Alongside the main missions, there’s also the thrill of hunting down the Cult of Kosmos, climbing the mercenary ranks, and battling in arenas. Taking down other mercenaries in the arena, especially to reach the top, is an absolute highlight! The game also has optional boss fights, bounty missions, and lots of cool weapons to collect. If you love action-packed RPGs with deep stories and loads of exploration, "Assassin's Creed Odyssey" is a must-play. Highly recommended!
Great game with tons to do. I know this review is being written in 2024, but I decided to buy on PC and replay after losing my 100+ hour save on PS . Forgot how much I enjoyed this game. Keeps me entertained for hours.
Great game with tons to do. I know this review is being written in 2024, but I decided to buy on PC and replay after losing my 70+ hour save on PS with Alexios. Switched it up to Kassandra on PC and forgot how much I enjoyed this game. Keeps me entertained for hours.
Man, I wish there would be an option on Steam to give a "Mid" or "Buy on sale" rating, because this game is definitely one of those for me.
It has some great stuff, like the setting (more subjective, but it's one of my fav), the visuals, music, some characters are genuinely fun and memorable (including Kassandra, one of my favorite AC characters in general).
However, the gameplay loop gets a little too old too quickly. This game is the definition of some of the recent Ubi fluff where you have quantity over quality, also don't like the difficulty balance, normal is too easy, and hard makes enemies damage-sponges.
Overall, I'd probably put it in a range of 6.5-7/10 sort of games, which is totally not bad and above mid most of the times, but man, can it be boring and annoying at times. I have already played and completed it previously on PS4 when it came out, and nowadays I don't feel like I have time or patience for something like this, especially when we have amazing handcrafted experiences like BG3, for example.
Stopped at chapter 7 and didn't touch the DLCs. Maybe will return in the future, when I have nothing else to play or just in the mood for smth like this.
I still totally recommend to buy it on a sale though, and I know people who LOVE this kind of stuff. Chaire!
Nice landscapes and music work, gameplay is just repetitive with MMO mechanics that will get you bored after 30 minutes. There were a few good ideas, but that's about it. Story is meh, choices don't have a real influence, dialogues don't have any consistency and are usually badly acted. The game uses level restrictions on everything to prevent you from going some places too early, but you don't feel any progression in terms of power.
I finished everything just out of sheer spite. Wasn't worth it.
Where to start this review.....
If you are looking at good ASSASSINS CREED game this is not it, not even by longshot even the first Assassins Creed is better when it comes to playthrough experience.
Lets start with the good and decent sides.
+Beautiful world and graphics
+Funny side characters and nice characters all in all
+Greek mythology and history
Then the not so good stuff.
-In my opinion the overall game experience is horrible (yes I know I played 130h and through all dlc and so on).
-In Odyssey u can jump of the highest mountain u can find and not get even a scratch (same with the horse, long live Phobos). -There is abilities I didnt even want to use since they break immersion for me fully (invisibility, vanishing of bodies and so on).
-Fighting is ok but feels like forced all the time even when u would want to sneak around (I know they didnt intend this to be sneak game but why make it assassins creed then?!).
-Story is mediocre and way too long for basicly nothing happening there. In general the game is just way too wast and large game for AC game, if u want huge map and great content for the map play Red Dead Redemption 2, Skyrim or Fallout example. -DLC stories were better than the whole main game and took only fraction of the time that the main game grind takes.
-And the bugs/clitches you have oh boy.....invisible walls, not being able to climb in obvious ways but when u have a sleek bronze statue with nothing to grasp that u can climb easy as.....In general I like clitches and bugs they make games usually fun but in case of Odyssey they just made it painful to play.
-Modern day story and protagonist is just so boring....(we want Desmond)
I think the list would be too long if I just kept writing everything that pops in my mind. If someone feels like playing this game anyways sure give it a go. It might even be decent game if u are not hardcore AC fan like me or if u havent experienced what is perfect huge open world game called Red Dead Redemption 2 then yes u might even like it. But for me this was most horrible 130h experience (dont know why I kept going, maybe because I hoped it would get better, but it didnt).
These Ubisotf RPG games just takes the fun out of gaming. Ubisoft is terrible at making RPGs, and they have no idea of what they're doing. This game is designed around selling you microtransactions and the game suffers for it. Your choices has no real impact on the story and ubisoft made an RPG game just for the sake of it. The main story as well as the side quest are lackluster with generic voice acting. I only played it for the sake of Assassin's creed, but this isn't even Assassin's creed. It's a giant open world of nothing.
The story was mediocre at best. Graphics are OK for when the game released.
Had some decent stealth gameplay. The usual Ubisoft quantity over quality, loot shit until you have 100% open-world BS.
What was bad:
The voice acting, scripts and cutscenes were awful. You have an arena for fight for death and teh crowd is voice-acted by 3 people. That's some lousy cheers. All battles, cutscenes etc feel not as epic as they try to be. The characters are lazily and badly written.
The game forces you to use the Ubisoft launcher, even though it is useless. When you buy the season pass on Uconnect or whatever they call it, even though you bought the game on Steam, you won't get the content you paid for.
The meta-story (the stuff that takes place today) is boring and unnecessary. The battles and ship combat are boring and have no place in an AC game.
Why is there are a real-money store in a fucking single player game? Why should I grind daily or weekly quests for premium currency?
If you get the game for free, it's a good deal. If you buy it during sale for little money, please be aware you don't get the full game and have to purchase big chunks of it seperately.
8/10, wish fast travel system was easier and stealth was rewarded more. Solid game, very grind heavy though.
It’s a good game, I did lots of research and read a bunch of reviews, great graphics and terrains and stuff. Kinda sucks that it doesn’t really have any relevance and ties to the assassins story. But still fun to play and experience
