Unlike its predecessor, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt doesn't exactly come screaming off the starting line. Compared to The Witcher 2, where you're immediately plunged headlong into a sexy story of intrigue and betrayal, this main quest can seem mundane, even perfunctory at times. But each time I stepped off the well-beaten path to blaze my own trail, it turned into a wild, open, exhilarating fantasy roleplaying experience, rife with opportunities to make use of its excellent combat. Even after over 24 hours with The Witcher 3, it still tempts me to press on – there’s so much more I want to learn, and hunt.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – One of the Best Open-World RPGs Ever
My Rating: 10/10
I put alot of effort into this review so if you like it, please consider leaving an award, I would really appreciate it.

This game is a huge accomplishment for the video game industry, The Witcher 3 redefines storytelling, exploration, and character development, setting a new standard for the genre. From the first moment you step into the shoes of Geralt, you are swept into a vast, immersive world full with life, choices, and consequences.
The Story is outstanding, The main quest which is for Geralt to find Ciri, intertwines with a larger, world-shattering conflict involving the Wild Hunt a group of spectral riders who threaten to invade the world. The main narrative is gripping, complex, and emotional, the side quests also truly set this game apart. Every side mission feels like a self-contained story, full of morally questionable decisions, intriguing characters, and meaningful choices. The writing is superb, with dialogue that feels rich, nuanced, and impactful. The game’s branching narrative paths and the consequences of your actions create a world that feels genuinely reactive to the player.
Combat is a huge part of what makes this game so memorable, it is fluid and satisfying. The fights are dynamic and the use of signs adds an extra layer of strategy. Fighting monsters each with their own strengths, weaknesses, and lore requires both preparation and skill, depending on the difficulty. The game also encourages you to craft potions, bombs, and oils to gain an advantage in battle, making for a deep and rewarding combat system.
This is not just a game, it’s an experience. Its compelling story, polished world and complex characters offer an adventure that you will remember forever. The level of depth and the emotional resonance make it a rare gem in the world of video games. If you have yet to play this game I could not recommend it enough, a must play for an open world RPG fan.

i hope the witcher 4 be like the witcher 3.
big respekt for CD Projekt .
It's my favourite open world game. The game's got a lot of mechanics and you have to care for all of them. That makes you attracted to the game even more. And the story... I like doing side quests and exploring a lot. And this game does that part of the job perfectly. You've got tons of side quests. Even if you finish all, then you got contracts. If you finish them all, too, then you've got lots of places to explore. This game has every single thing you would want in a game. Worth every penny
классная игра, казалось бы, зайду на минут 10 и забью хер, но настолько сильно проникся всем тем что в ней есть, что аж 50 часов из нее не вылазил, всем советую, сюжет и доп. квесты это просто нечто
The Witcher 3: Wild hunt is one of the best games that I have played. The large open-world full of things to discover, characters to meet, quests to complete, monsters to hunt, and Gwent to play. all these things together make The Witcher 3 an unforgettable experience.
If you like single player games, with a large map to explore, a phenomenal soundtrack, hours of gameplay, and don't forget Gwent. I love halting any important objective because I need to play Gwent. 10/10 highly recommend playing The Witcher 3: Wild hunt.
Geralt of Rivia Is just an awesome character, and The Witcher 3: Wild hunt is an awesome game.
Recommended for one of the best story mode games

How do you even review The Witcher 3 in 2025?
Everyone knows what it is and what it's not.
Regardless, I played the game fully (Main game + ALL DLCs) for the first time now. It was an excellent experience. It took me around 130 hours, all sidecontent included, on the Death March! difficulty.
I was expecting it to feel "old" in some ways, but I was gladly proven wrong quickly. The game looks amazing to this date, maybe due to the "next gen update" from 2022. The game looked and sounded great - maybe not as detailed as some newer games, but the art style carried and the design of the rather grim world of The Witcher still feels unmatched to this day. Novigrad especially I was surprised by - the city is vast, full of people and actually feels like a city rather than a level in a video game.
Gameplay wise I had no real issues. Though the combat wasn't too deep, the variety in which you can build Geralt made up for it's simplicity. I went for a full Sign build (eg. magic) and had a blast weaving in devastating spells, while fending off enemies with parries of the sword and dodges. Death March! added some challenge and in some cases I used oils and bombs to further fight the various enemies and bosses. The best part about the combat was the variety of enemies. The Witcher 3 is full of very different creatures - man or monster - and a lot of different bosses (Witcher contracts mainly) that kept the game fresh throughout. Some recent games I've played had little in the variety department (Dragon Age: The Veilguard) which in those games made combat extremely repetetive.
Looking past the combat, the game felt fresh due to it's amazing narrative. The story is gripping and every bit of the world feels alive and interesting. It's rare that a game's sidequests have as good or better storylines than the main objective, but the Witcher 3 has that in droves. And this is what the Witcher 3 does best. The stories. The Wticher, while very action-heavy, is an RPG. There are multiple endings, choices to be made that aren't cut and dry and therefore offer interesting stories to tell. I can't help but compare that approach to the genre again to my recently played games. The Witcher 3 did it better 10 years ago.
To keep it short and sweet: Banger of a game, 10/10, even in 2025. Would highly recommend - especially since you can buy the whole lot on sale quite often for less than 15 EUR/$.
I wish i could forget this game and experience it all over again. Besides the combat aspect which now feels a bit outdated and simple, this game was ahead of its time and defined the rpg genre. Simply outstanding and still to this day the best video game i have ever played.
Imagine you're working in a 9-5 corporate job, you're done with your work, you come back home, log onto Steam, see your games list for 5 seconds, buy a game on sale that you're never going to play and then switch off your PC and go to a bar. While having a drink, you think of the good times when games used to be fun and authentic. But then you tell yourself, the problem isn't the games, its you. "Its not that games aren't fun anymore, you have gotten older".
And then I play Witcher 3. And suddenly I can't wait to get myself home after work. Do you have any idea how precious that feeling is ? The feeling that you are actually immersed in the protagonist' shoes. I find myself in anticipation and excitement for the new adventures that are waiting for me, I think while driving back home...."Where is this story headed ? What new places and characters I will meet ?" And lets not talk about the characters. I thought myself as a guy who's dead on the inside and somehow these characters made me laugh, chuckle and empathise at the same time. I haven't felt these feelings for a game since 2008 when I played games such as Final Fantasy 12, Metal Gear Solid 3. Was I wrong to think that I was the problem and not the gaming industry that's shelling out mediocre AAA games with no memorable characters or storyline ?
And I got this game for 3$. 3$ !! And that includes the DLC ! I honestly feel I looted these amazing devs. And I paid twice for games that are not even worth playing. 23 hours in and I still haven't scratched the surface of the story. The side quests are actually fun. I find myself doing the side quests more because its feels like I am watching another episode of the "Witcher 3 TV show". I love this open world, I actually take my time wandering around and exploring every nook and cranny. I haven't done this since GTA San Andreas. I look at some distant island or mountain that I find interesting and I decide to just walk there just for the fun of it. That's how beautiful this Open World this. This is Open World game done right.
Thank you CD Projekt Red. You guys are a gem. I know its 5 years late and I don't know why it took me 5 years to play this, but better late than never.
One of the best games out there, with a very great price on sale, some people might not like the slow combat, so be wary of it, other than that, the game is awesome
Can't believe that this is actually 10 years old , the story as well as the gameplay both are highly addictive , there is so much to do here . While playing you will be attached to the game and the character , the environment and NPCs are interactive with insane details and realism . The game has pretty good graphics so I suggest using a good GPU for this .
I'm unable to play this due to lack of time as a 17 yo student , but I'll surely complete this "MASTERPIECE" and waiting for my examinations to end .
Guys just trust me , this was the Game of The Year for a reason......
well-written storyline, epic gameplay, and stunning graphics. world and NPCs are detailed
Finally doing a review of this game.
I tried to play it many times over the past years on ps4 and switch, couldn't get past Skellige cuz I felt overwhelmed by the amount of content.
But this time I actually went to the end, purged the game of it's quests, dlc included so I feel like I can actually make a review.
We'll start by good points then bad ones then a conclusion as always.
The good :
- The story has been amazing, always keeping me on the edge with unexpected situations, sometimes with moral dilemna where there's no good or bad, just opinions that diverge.
- The amount of details in dialogues and side quests that actually matter is crazy, like saving a random npc and he comes back 50h later to help you for example.
- The number of things to do in this game is both incredible and awful, there's plenty of things to do. Treasure hunts, contracts, side quests, monster nests to destroy, villages to free, bandit outposts, etc. And that made me stop multiple times because I always feel the need to do side content, this time I pulled through and I don't regret it.
- The animations are really cool, sometimes a bit messy and some T-pose but most of the time it's great and fluid.
- The bestiary is great,it's one of the big points of this game. The monster hunting part where you track a monster, interrogate people, reads the bestiary, prepare traps, potions, etc.
- Graphically it's a masterpiece, music is also great,I don't feel the need to elaborate more tbh.
- Voice acting was great,I tried both French and English and ngl they're both amazing and made characters very likeable and authentic for most of them.
- Blood and Wine was the absolute peak content of the game imo,I adored every single second of it. I did it before starting Skellige to take a breather from Novigrad and the main story and without that I probably would have given up again. It's mostly based off France,my homeland so I felt very much at home. Enjoyed the quests, the story, the house you get, etc.
Now I want to talk about a few bad stuff the game has.
- First of all,the obvious,as much as I loved it,the game is way too big and pushes away so many people who aren't willing to endure,I know you'll say "but you can just focus on the main story" but the thing is,side content is very important to the side story. If I didn't do some side quests,I wouldn't have had some options and main quests. There's so much to do,in fact TOO much to do that it feels like drowning under the content at times.
- The game is a major buggy mess. I can't count the number of bugs i had. Going through doors, sequences breaking,T-pose,quests not starting, enemies not spawning, crashes, not being able to access the storage for the rest of the game cuz it crashes, etc. It made me want to stop many times.
- As much as I absolutely adore the contracts, let's face it,it's ALWAYS the same thing if you exclude their amazing plots. You go in a place, follow footprints,a smell or blood stains then you find the monster at the end and kill it,then go report. I loved absolutely all contracts for their plots and the fact that in many of them you had more choices than just killing the monsters.
- The level scaling option is broken and enemies will sometimes one-shot you or do 1 damage.
Should you play it ? Absolutely yes !
Should you finish it ? Probably not on your first try,if it gets too much for you, take a small break or play one of the DLCs to cool down from the story a bit,do not try to get everything on each maps,it'll just be too much for you.
Other than that,I definitively recommend it.
I've played this game for about 90 hours in the last 2 weeks and let me tell you, this is hands down one of the best games I've had the privilege of playing. Mind you I'm still not close to the end of the story even after sinking 90 hours into it, just made it to Skellige in fact, that alone should tell you about how rich this game is in terms of content.
The story is great, the characters are wonderful, combat can be a bit lacking but it's not that bad, but my favorite thing about this game, by far, is Gwent - the card minigame. Nothing beats Gwent, it's definitely the best minigame I've ever played and experienced.
I've had this on my backlog for a while, didn't think it'd be as good of an experience especially after playing through Elden Ring and Sekiro, but my God I was wrong. The Witcher 3 gets a solid 10/10 from me. I will update this review once more after I finish the game. But either way, I highly recommend this game to anyone looking to pick up an open world RPG, TW3 is a fine masterpiece that everyone should experience at least once.
I know, I am late to the party to review one of the allegedly best video games of all times. But it's true. It's all true. This is definitely one of the best games I have ever played.
The best summary of this experience was written a long time ago in 2015 (at the time of the game's release), by a great, long-inactive YouTube channel called Super Bunnyhop, in a video called "2015: The Rollicking Riveting Adventure".
Here is a transcript of what he said in the video:

"The Witcher 3 the Wild Hunt is a realized version of my child childhood dream of what the games of 2015 would become.
THIS is what Adventure sounds like. THIS is what Adventure looks like!
A dashing hero, a dominant love interest and a beautiful and Untamed Frontier create the closest thing to an adult Zelda that we may ever get. It's what i imagined as a kid thinking about what a Baldur's gate would look like from this perspective with this level of fidelity.
You've got a city as big and busy as the Gotham of the competing Arkham game, surrounded by miles of farmland with an outer ring of war torn wasteland that's more dense with depressing side quests than the competing Fallout.
Teleport to the next map over and you're in a place iterating farther on the Viking fantasy than where Skyrim left off.
But evoking the sights and sounds of classic adventure is only skin deep and Witcher 3 goes deeper. This adult version of Zelda with its adult version of the hero's journey still maintains a moral compass. Though a lot of reviews may disagree, there is good and evil in the Witcher universe. If you look at the endings of quests like Family Matters, Carnal sins and the game's various endings you can see how that compass is set up to confuse you. Although, in retrospect, the path to whatever good ends to these quests exist may be clear your way there is always murky in the heat of the moment.
The Witcher 3 punishes brash heroism and quick judgments. Playing a thoroughly evil Geralt who makes this world worse than what you start with is probably going to happen completely by accident even if you had good intentions. Seeing through lies, spotting propaganda and passion and failing to fall for red herrings that's how you get the good endings in this one.
It's a world not unlike our own and its cheerful sense of humor, its upbeat and lively soundtrack and more than anything eles, its overwhelming amount of humanity, make this one of the few cases where the mature rating on the box actually describes what's inside.
And all that goes without saying how much work was obviously put into this thing that's what really sets it above the competitors on a technical if not artistic level.
The most optional of side quests can branch off to these amazing self-contained stories that can last hours... Some of the best cutcenes in writing can be found in these obscure corners that are entirely locked out if you didn't even meet the right conditions in the previous game!
It's a massive 70-hour sandbox game with quality to match its quantity. It's an uncompromising force of the classic old school idea for a videogame."

At that time, you could tell that the AAA market wasn't exactly on the verge of imploding and expectations, despite many current issues already present at that time (perhaps not as prevalent), were generally positive.
It can be said that people consider Witcher 3 (myself included) to be one of the best games of all time, due to the enormous display of competence that simply no one was used to.
It was the new generational frontier being crossed with all the power that was entitled to. It was a game that delivered beyond any expectations and caused a huge reverberation across the market.
Several imitators came later, trying to copy the same structure, failing to replicate the essence of what made the game work. But the legacy left by the impact of Witcher 3 still remains.
It's a world of inexhaustible charm and wonder, which pulls you into it with its multifaceted narrative hooks, irresistible performances and STILL jaw-dropping art direction.
Never, in any game, have I felt so much like simply contemplating the entrance to a forest, to the sound of the strong wind hitting the trees. I've never heard a soundscape as striking, immersive and captivating as in this game.
Music, sound and image in perfect harmony, selling this epic in an unparalleled way.
Other games have far surpassed Witcher technologically, the gameplay is not the most complex and varied, and the main plot still struggles with itself to deliver a highly unconventional and original story and a highly conventional blockbuster end-of-trilogy epic conflict against a cool villain (which no one really knows), but the soul of this game is still what makes me want to come back here from time to time and sink 50 hours into it like it was nothing.
It's an extremely easy recommendation. It's one of the best games on the market for its price. The value you get from it is basically equivalent to buying New Vegas. You think you stole it because it was so cheap.
I had a few 8th gen consoles and bought Witcher 3 for all of them and I never regretted it for a second.
This is one of the greats. No sign of it getting old.
Almost 10 years after the release and this game is still beautiful, engaging, and so well written. Graphically, the free next gen updates they released have this looking great on my 4k tv -- so much better than Starfield's visuals, especially on character models. The narrative is inviting and compelling. Geralt's voice overs as you interact with the environment and engage with people and objects makes this feel like a twisted detective noir that we didn't know we needed.
A Great RPG, but Slightly Overrated, You Should Probably Just Play Dark Souls 2.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is undeniably one of the most successful and acclaimed RPGs of the past decade, offering a vast open world, engaging storytelling, and a rich fantasy setting. Its main narrative, filled with morally complex choices and unforgettable characters, sets it apart from many other RPGs. The side quests are often praised for their depth, and the world-building is top-notch, with each region feeling distinct and full of lore. However, despite its widespread acclaim, The Witcher 3 can feel slightly overrated at times. The game's combat, while functional, often feels clunky and repetitive, especially when compared to other RPGs. Additionally, some players might find the sheer amount of content overwhelming, with a world that can occasionally feel bloated with filler tasks. While it is a fantastic game, it's not without its flaws, and its reputation as the "perfect RPG" doesn’t always hold up under scrutiny.
Dark Souls 2: The Best Game Ever Created
On the other hand, Dark Souls 2 is often hailed as the best game ever created, offering a level of depth, challenge, and world design that The Witcher 3 simply cannot match. While The Witcher 3 offers a grand, narrative-driven experience, Dark Souls 2 creates a world that is rich with hidden secrets, intricate lore, and a haunting atmosphere. The combat in Dark Souls 2 is tight and methodical, rewarding precision and strategy, and the world-building is seamless, making exploration a truly rewarding experience. Every victory feels earned, every area offers something new to discover, and the interconnected world design is masterful. The game's difficulty is not just a challenge; it’s a key part of the experience, making each encounter meaningful. Dark Souls 2 stands out for its level of player agency, where you’re not just following a linear story but forging your own path through an intricately designed world.
Why Dark Souls 2 Is Superior
While The Witcher 3 offers an epic, narrative-driven journey, Dark Souls 2 is superior in terms of its design, challenge, and depth. Dark Souls 2 doesn’t rely on a rich narrative to carry the experience—rather, it focuses on creating a world that feels alive and requires the player to engage with it deeply. The sense of discovery and achievement in Dark Souls 2 is unmatched, and the game's difficulty offers a level of satisfaction that The Witcher 3’s more forgiving combat cannot replicate. The difficulty, complexity, and rewarding gameplay loops in Dark Souls 2 make it a much more engaging and impactful experience. If you’re looking for a game that doesn’t just tell you a story, but challenges you to become part of its world, Dark Souls 2 is far superior and is, without a doubt, the best game ever created.
Good game , it has a few bugs but still playable nice graphics nice story,I liked the game worth it!
The Witcher 3 is an RPG masterpiece and one of the best games in history.
I LOVE THIS GAME
Every year I try to get into this game because apparently it's one of the greatest games ever made.
Inventory is bad.
Traversal is bad.
Camera hates you.
You fight the controls as much as you fight monsters.
The world is terrible and everyone should already be dead from random monsters that live just outside their houses.
Geralt is a badass murder machine that for some reason helps incompetent and horrible people that won't help him unless he finds their shovel that they beat their dog with or some other bullshit. Just peel them slowly and they will help.
I just can't anymore. Bad game is bad.
This game is incredible. Can't believe I waited so long before playing it. For a game first released in 2015, the graphics look better than I expected. I've got an RTX 4090, so ray tracing and pretty much everything else maxed out. Naturally, it doesn't look as good as more recent games, like Final Fantasy XVI or even Hogwarts Legacy, but it still looks very good. Gameplay is tight. Character movement can be a bit tricky at times, but combat movement seems fluid. Gwent is addicting. Side quests don't feel pointless. Voice acting is very well done. Music is fantastic. So far, this game is a 10/10 for me.

i have over 250 hours between my husbands steam acct and this one, cant reccomend this game more. its amazing and i cant wait for withcer 4.
My initial plan in this game was to choose all of Geralt's love interests, but after reading the spoilers about how it will end, I decided to be a loyal *coughs* man for my first run. However, I'm still planning to choose all the love interests in the second run. Who doesn't want drama? (I'm just a curious girl who wants to experience firsthand how all things will unfold). Kidding aside, this game is so good that I'm looking forward to the 4th one. I'm still not done with this game, so watch out for the ultimate wannabe heartbreaker of the year (which is me, of course).
Amazing game, immersion and story are so good. Combat is pretty good. There are a lot of bugs though.
This is my fourth play-through of The Witcher 3, and this time, I’m doing a true, full completion run; side quests, mission board tasks, and everything else the game offers. This game is absolutely incredible, even if you’re not typically into RPGs.
When I was younger, I didn’t have the patience to immerse myself in RPGs. I struggled to appreciate the worlds and stories being told, especially when it came to dialogue-heavy games or "out-of-the-way" additions like side quests and optional missions or different gear etc. Back then, I saw these elements as unnecessary detours and boring paths rather than parts of a richer experience. I was conditioned to focus on short, straightforward stories, which made me overlook the depth RPGs could offer. Everything about this game, including the elements I used to dislike, is flawless. The design, storytelling, and execution are all so well done.
I’ve never played the DLCs before, but they were recently gifted to me. This has urged me to complete all the side quests and collectibles before diving into them. I’m excited to experience these expansions and look forward to the next installment in the series in the within the next couple years.

One of my favorite games with storytelling and art direction being the main pivot points for me. The only downside for me personally, is that the game is really long, especially if you're a completionist.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a masterpiece. The story is deep, the characters are memorable, and the open world is stunning. Combat is fun, and quests are meaningful, not boring fillers. Some parts can feel slow, but overall, it’s one of the best RPGs ever made.
Honestly this is one of the Greatest games of All Time. Witcher 4 is going to be an incredible game coming from this as long as there are no performance issues at all. I respect when developers support all types of graphics cards and their technologies. I'm glad to have played some of this game.
I know its 5 years late and I don't know why it took me 5 years to play this, but better late than never.
the best open world RPG game ever made 11/10
going for the 3rd playthrough :D
The Universe of the The Witcher series is built up from conventional novels, video games, television series, board games, pen and paper RPG, merchandise and a lot of extra's such as cookbooks.
Like Dungeons & Dragons, Warhammer 40k, Vampire the Masquerade, it is somewhat of a environment built upon decades of lore, with so much to do and learn that people can practically get lost in this world.
After playing all three The Witcher games, plus DLC, it is still in my top 10 of videogames of the last two decades, and I would heartily recommend it.
The Witcher 3 has wonderful graphics, brought up to current high standards for the PC with the latest Next Gen update.
Once again Geralt is the protagonist and besides the usual monster quests, there is a red line running through the overall story, concerning his one-time ward, Cirilla, aka Ciri.
The DLCs add a lot to the game, with several hours in a cynical setting, with different possible endings, in the Hearts of Stone add-on, or going on adventures in the Italian-French Mediterranean inspired duchy of Toussaint.
The game is easy enough to master. Game play is smooth. I haven't noticed any awkward camera angles or unease when it comes to interaction or combat system. The only recurring thing is, of course, Roach doing with Roach does best, which is more amusing than annoying.
Despite having already spent over 150 hours in-game, I definitely see myself replaying (parts of) it.
I was fortunate enough not to run into big glitches or game-breaking events.
Everything worked smoothly out of the box. The story telling is enthralling and amusing.
Because of the different areas you visit, and the variety of other humans, creatures and monsters, I would say it never gets boring.
Despite being around for some time, one can find this game discounted during the various steam sales and events.
There is a large, and loving, fanbase, and a lively community that discusses everything concerning the Witcher, and groups that make mods to the game.
CD Project Red released mod kits that add a lot of possibilities.
Really liked it, Combat is mostly smooth, the story is pretty good and the game was simply enjoyable. Don't ignore the potions and other trinkets, they're a real life changer in the heat of combat.
Going into an inn and playing a round or two of Gwent made me appreciate the downtimes of the game. Riding a horse through the countryside or walking in the cities made me appreciate the setting.
Looking forward to the fourth installment in the series.
The combat completely kills this game for me. When I'm attacking something it feels like 75% of my attacks whiff. Why am I dancing around all nimbly pimbly waving my sword through the air like a fancy lad when the dogs are biting my ankles? I and right next to the monster I'm trying to attack, but my swings are so wild and fancy they miss constantly. It's so frustrating attacking something point blank and the stupid animations cause you to miss. I really want to play this game, but I don't think I can handle this trash combat.
Ive never played any story games before and so far I really enjoyed it, its quite relaxing and entertaining to follow a story line while also being the main character, it kinda feels like watching a movie but also interacting with it.
Finally Plat'ed the Game, Did every quest possible + 1 Ng+ entire cycle with dlc included
when i first played the game it was underwhelming, couldnt get pass Kaer Morhn tutorial, Its Gameplay is a bit hard to get into Some game mechanics could be better explained Like the potions I thought those were 1 time use so i didnt even use them since i fought the first genral of The wild hunt, Decoctions Made me think oh so potions can be reused it means decocs are 1 time use i used them for the first time in the second dlc (if anyone is as dumb as me yes they are both reusable just meditate) they'll refiill also the Combat is Good just good, not mind numbingly bad or insanely fluid just good enough where it excels is the story an the world building, i usually like to listen to music while playing but this game made me to Actually focus on the story at all times each dialogue matters, i played in the hardest difficulty an the harset fight was the ghouls you fight for the first time the game is pretty easy other than that, really big parry windows insane i frames during dodges and finally This game made me feel what Skyrim made me feel years ago, Yea the music is not as Good as skyrim (shoutout to jeremy souls) but its better in every other way, hell it even comes close to skyrim for its atmosphere, if your looking for a RPG an willing to spend some time in a world thats not yours, This is it. This is the story of The White Wolf, The Butcher of Blaviken, Geralt of Rivia (Lets Play Gwent)
One of the best Games you can play. I would recommend it to anyone, it is just a really great gaming experience. Practically every major character has indepth writing and is interesting to get to learn more about. Yen best Girl.
I didn't like the game in the beginning, coming from Rockstar mechanics, I had to get used to the different mechanics. However, after sinking a few hours in, I fell in love with the story, the characters, and all the quests exploring the fantasy world. It's a classic everyone should playthrough and I can't wait to dig into the two DLC expansions.
I my opinion, not my cup of tea. Combat system is just button mashing, there's too many quests in the game that feel redundant and I experienced game launching issues. The graphics and story are good tho.
After 85 hours I finished the last expansion for the Witcher 3. Been playing on and off for the past 6 years, but now, my journey is at an end. It's hard to find the words to describe my experience, the ups and downs, and all the memories made while playing. Yet I felt compelled to take the time to write this review to urge anyone reading it to give this a shot, without thinking twice. It is a very personal journey, some choices you make you won't like, you'll load to a previous save and redo them until through Geralt's adventures you will have told the story you desire: your story. So, what are you waiting for?
Beat it on PS4 and here I am playing again. So beautiful in writing and gameplay. The side quests feel like main quests and not just some fetch or tail mission. Just an overall MASTERPIECE! I look forward to playing as Ciri in 4!
THIS IS A MUST PLAY!
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is probably one of the most incredible RPGs ever built, with an emotional and deep storyline, stunning visuals, and a vividly alive open world full of life and moral complexity. This game features impactful player choices, strategic yet action-packed combat, unforgettable side quests, and a great soundtrack. Some minor annoyances, such as clunky inventory management, Roach's buggy mechanics, the quantity of cutscenes, and how some NPCs move so slowly in quests, might make you lose your cool, but these are greatly outweighed by the brilliance of the game. Deeply engaging storytelling, memorable characters, and breathtaking design make The Witcher 3 an unforgettable experience that every RPG fan should savor at least once.
Graphics are amazing, but the feeling of the game doesn't feel right, combat feels weird and movement feels weird not a satisfying game to play honestly.
Really cool world and story to explore but movement on foot and horse feels bad and laggy. Combat also feels bad. to be more specific after playing action games like horizon forbidden west by guerilla, god of war by sony, and souls games by fromsoft enemy moves especially small dogs and drowners at the beginning of the game have very snap fast attacks. There is very little time to react , parrying feels very awkward i don't know how to explain, but cyberpunk 2077 melee combat felt infinitely better, so maybe those comparisons help.
The best game, with the best story and characters.
Perfect long-term game to buy in 2024
Best game to pickup with THIS price point.
Graphics, art style, environment, combat, animations, story, dialogues everything is on point(+replayability). It is a masterpiece, if you are thinking to buy it go for it, I guarantee you wont regret a second after purchasing.
You can sexually interact with females
I am at a loss for words with this game. Having jumped into it without playing its predecessors, I now feel an overwhelming desire to experience the entire series. The Witcher 3 is a true mastercraft, one of the most memorable gaming experiences I've ever had.
The world is blooming with life in every corner, from bustling cities to eerie swamps, each filled with stories waiting to be uncovered. The visuals are breathtaking, capturing both the beauty and brutality of the rich world, while the music is nothing short of beautiful.
The expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, were every bit as incredible and profound as the main story, and in some ways, even more intimate. The side quests deserve special mention - they’re not mere distractions but compelling little tales that often rival the main narrative in depth and impact.
From its unforgettable characters to its morally complex choices, The Witcher 3 has set a standard in storytelling and world-building that few games can hope to match.
