• Deal with treasonous generals, devious witches, and corrupt royalty to provide dark and dangerous services.
• Make choices that go beyond good & evil, and face their far-reaching consequences.
Take on the most important contract of your life: to track down the child of prophecy, the key to saving or destroying this world.

I didn't like the game in the beginning, coming from Rockstar mechanics, I had to get used to the different mechanics. However, after sinking a few hours in, I fell in love with the story, the characters, and all the quests exploring the fantasy world. It's a classic everyone should playthrough and I can't wait to dig into the two DLC expansions.
After 85 hours I finished the last expansion for the Witcher 3. Been playing on and off for the past 6 years, but now, my journey is at an end. It's hard to find the words to describe my experience, the ups and downs, and all the memories made while playing. Yet I felt compelled to take the time to write this review to urge anyone reading it to give this a shot, without thinking twice. It is a very personal journey, some choices you make you won't like, you'll load to a previous save and redo them until through Geralt's adventures you will have told the story you desire: your story. So, what are you waiting for?
Beat it on PS4 and here I am playing again. So beautiful in writing and gameplay. The side quests feel like main quests and not just some fetch or tail mission. Just an overall MASTERPIECE! I look forward to playing as Ciri in 4!
THIS IS A MUST PLAY!
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is probably one of the most incredible RPGs ever built, with an emotional and deep storyline, stunning visuals, and a vividly alive open world full of life and moral complexity. This game features impactful player choices, strategic yet action-packed combat, unforgettable side quests, and a great soundtrack. Some minor annoyances, such as clunky inventory management, Roach's buggy mechanics, the quantity of cutscenes, and how some NPCs move so slowly in quests, might make you lose your cool, but these are greatly outweighed by the brilliance of the game. Deeply engaging storytelling, memorable characters, and breathtaking design make The Witcher 3 an unforgettable experience that every RPG fan should savor at least once.
The best game, with the best story and characters.
Perfect long-term game to buy in 2024
Best game to pickup with THIS price point.
Graphics, art style, environment, combat, animations, story, dialogues everything is on point(+replayability). It is a masterpiece, if you are thinking to buy it go for it, I guarantee you wont regret a second after purchasing.
You can sexually interact with females
I am at a loss for words with this game. Having jumped into it without playing its predecessors, I now feel an overwhelming desire to experience the entire series. The Witcher 3 is a true mastercraft, one of the most memorable gaming experiences I've ever had.
The world is blooming with life in every corner, from bustling cities to eerie swamps, each filled with stories waiting to be uncovered. The visuals are breathtaking, capturing both the beauty and brutality of the rich world, while the music is nothing short of beautiful.
The expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, were every bit as incredible and profound as the main story, and in some ways, even more intimate. The side quests deserve special mention - they’re not mere distractions but compelling little tales that often rival the main narrative in depth and impact.
From its unforgettable characters to its morally complex choices, The Witcher 3 has set a standard in storytelling and world-building that few games can hope to match.
After spending 180+ hours in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, I can confidently say it’s one of the best RPGs ever made. The world is stunning, with each area feeling unique and filled with secrets. The branching storylines and moral choices kept me engaged, while the complex characters, especially Geralt, felt incredibly real. Combat is satisfying, though it can get repetitive, and the game’s vast size sometimes overwhelms. Overall, The Witcher 3 delivers an unforgettable journey through a dark, rich world that’s still worth exploring long after you’ve finished the main story.
Pros:
Stunning open world with varied environments
Engaging storylines with impactful decisions
Deep character development with memorable characters
Monster hunting system adds tactical depth
Great voice acting and an epic soundtrack
Cons:
Combat can feel repetitive at times
Inventory management can be clunky
Some side quests can drag on a bit
Overall Score: 9/10
I played it when it was released on my PS4, and this is my second playthrough. I got all the achievements, done everything I could, and I truly enjoyed it. I suppose it's a game that doesn't require a recommendation but, if you are on the fence, buy it now!
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is hands down one of the best games I’ve ever played. You step into Geralt’s boots, a monster hunter with serious skills and a no nonsense vibe, exploring this insanely huge and gorgeous open world. Every quest feels like it matters even the side missions are deep. Trust me, you need to complete all the secondary quests before diving into the main story; it’s worth it. The combat is fun once you get the hang of it, and the choices you make actually matter, changing how the story plays out. The botchling monster? xd yeah, that thing gave me a hard time, but once I learned how to use signs properly, it got easier. Big shoutout to my friend, who really helped me out while I was playing. He taught me how to grind for better gear, use mutagens, and play smarter. Some of the stories hit so deep, they stayed with me even after I finished the game. If you love RPGs or just want a game with an emotional punch, you’ve gotta check this out.
I mean, where can I start... I'll keep it short.
Even in 2024 it is still one of my favorite games of all time. I keep coming back to it and it feels like I came back home. The characters, the world, the music, the quiet sunsets with beautiful music in the background, the brutal fights with all kinds of scum lurking around - this game means a lot to me. It was special back in 2015, and it still manages to captivate me after almost 10 years.
It's the kind of a game that was made with genuine care and love for the source material, as well as respect for the fans of the franchise. Games like these are timeless and will always be some of the best.
Is it absolutely perfect though? No, of course not. I'm sure nowadays you can find examples with better feeling combat, deeper rpg system, more detailed graphics, but nothing will take away the unique feel and soul of the Witcher 3. Love it.
if you struggle finding your sexual orientation the least you can do to determine whether you're gay or not by choosing another female character over Yennefer. perfect game 10/10
A great game with a huge world, a good and interesting plot, lots of thoughtful quests and entertaining situations, a rich open and elaborated world with interesting little things, different details and characters, great music and a good combat system. There are NO disadvantages! You can buy even without a discount, you will not regret it. The best game for a quiet passage in the evening.
Still the best CDPR game. Much better than Witcher 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 as a game and as an action game, more RPG elements and less stupidity, flaws and shortcomings. Only with Witcher 3 CDPR managed to make such a good, balanced and interesting game. Will the Witcher 4 be as good as 3?
This is the best game I have ever played.

I was really eager to write a review for this game, but there’s so much to talk about. I’ll try to keep it brief.
The story is wonderful. Even if you haven’t played the older games, it does a great job of explaining the universe and the situation it takes place in. I found this aspect to be highly successful, and when I first started playing, it instilled a sense of curiosity that made me want to dive deeper into the game’s lore. The world and story are truly captivating, and the characters’ personalities, styles, and thoughts are beautifully portrayed.
The gameplay is smooth and enjoyable. Normally, in medieval-themed games like this, I prefer using a bow, but this game taught me how fun swordplay can be. As you level up your skills, you can really feel the power reflected in your combat against enemies.
Besides swordplay and defense. the other gameplay elements are well-balanced. If you use the right tools and strategies against the right enemies, even on the hardest difficulty, they can’t keep up with you, and you genuinely feel like a master swordsman. It’s an amazing feeling.
The quest system is straightforward and simple. You can easily select the quests you want to pursue or get detailed information about them through the Journal screen, which you can open with the "J" key.
I’ve done my best to keep it short. Happy gaming!
You can see i spent my 100+ hours The Witcher 3 but i has 400+ hours on Gog.com. Because i bought retail version the game when it released.
ll
The Witcher 3 is an absolute masterpiece. The immense open world is breathtaking, offering a rich and diverse landscape to explore. The main story is brilliantly crafted and well-developed, keeping you engaged from start to finish. The storytelling is top-notch, with intricate plots and memorable characters.
The first expansion, Hearts of Stone, although short, is a fantastic addition. It's a beautifully tragic story that left a lasting impression on me. Toussaint, introduced in the Blood and Wine expansion, is simply stunning. The vibrant and lush environment adds a new depth to the game. Blood and Wine itself is an outstanding expansion with an excellent story that took some unexpected turns. The new mechanics, like mutagens and the rune system, added fresh and exciting layers to the gameplay.
This was my first time playing The Witcher 3, and it's hard to believe it was originally released in 2015. The next-gen upgrade has significantly enhanced the experience, making it even more enjoyable.
If you're looking for an epic adventure with rich storytelling and an expansive world, The Witcher 3 is a must-play.
The Witcher 1 was barely playable. The Witcher 2 was a blast, but it missed something. Witcher 3 is top 5 best games of all time. CD Projekt Red outdid themselves with this title, I can't recommend this enough!
The Witcher 3 is an RPG masterpiece and undoubtedly one of the best games in history. Its gripping story, countless meaningful choices in dialogues, and a beautifully crafted world make every moment unforgettable.
The scale and beauty of the world inspire exploration, while side quests rival the depth of the main storyline. Every detail is imbued with love for storytelling and atmosphere.
For me, this is more than just a game—it’s an unforgettable adventure. If you haven’t played it yet, don’t miss out—you’re in for a legendary experience.
The best single player open-world RPG with great lore and story, epic game which have decided the fate of many other games in the following decade
Wonderful game but personally not my favorite.
Considering the game came out in 2015, it does indeed hold up to today’s standards (some mechanics feel slightly outdated tho). The world is beautiful, and the next-gen update made the game look like it came out just 3–4 years ago!
The combat feels okay and simple (not in a bad way). I enjoyed the story especially the DLCs.
Overall I'll give it an 8.7/10.
I love bg3 and those types rpgs, i loooooove cyberpunk a nd think its a great dev team , i just struggle to get into this game , and ive tried, and restarted it several times, it has cool things and looks great, i just havent gotten hooked , and i feeel llike 15 hours into the campaign id be gripped by now , but i catch myself skipping all the cutscenes, the story is hard to 'feel' but i felt the same way about cyberpunk , it all seems a little redundant maybe... sorry guys , i want to love it i really do
Genuinely the best game I have ever played. The devs have ironed out almost every bug and friction point, combat is fun and doesn't trip me up. Especially love that the NPC interactions are pervasive and world-dependant. Tiny things like a town crier updating the town regarding a monster you've slain, Wanted posters that appear with text that differs based on your quest choices. What can feel like throwaway dialogue choices have a chance to affect end-game outcomes or just tiny NPC responses. Incredibly well crafted with so much thought and care.
While it's not my very favorite game, I consider this to be the best game ever made. The reason that it's not my favorite (although it's one of my top 5, surely) is that the characters are a little too believable, a little too realistic. Like real people, even the protagonists have ugly character flaws. I prefer the more implausibly-good characters from my favorite games, e.g. the Mass Effect trilogy and the Dragon Age trilogy. But objectively speaking, the writing is higher quality in The Witcher 3, as is the game design.
Love the story, love the combat, if you get into the lore and read the books and listen to the dialog the game is very immersive! already beat is twice and still find the will to play again a different way. 10/10 game
Story is kinda good. But I legitimately fall as sleep while exploring the open world, too boring, empty, and I don't even want to talk much about the horrible combat.
Definitely an overrated game, probably will go back when I'm older I guess. Still recommend if you want a good story.
One of the best, This is one of those games you will get lost in. beautiful, captivating. a MUST have!

From the moment I launched this game, I was captivated by its stunning visuals and immersive world. The developers have truly outdone themselves, creating a universe that feels both expansive and intimate. Every detail, from the lush landscapes to the intricate character designs, is crafted with care and precision.
Gameplay: The gameplay mechanics are smooth and intuitive, making it easy to dive right in. The combat system is both challenging and rewarding, offering a perfect balance for both casual players and hardcore gamers. The variety of missions and side quests kept me engaged for hours on end, always offering something new and exciting to discover.
Story: The storyline is a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with unexpected twists and turns. The characters are well-developed and relatable, each with their own unique backstory and motivations. I found myself genuinely caring about their fates, which is a testament to the excellent writing and voice acting.
Graphics and Sound: Visually, the game is a feast for the eyes. The attention to detail is remarkable, with each environment feeling alive and vibrant. The sound design complements the visuals perfectly, with a soundtrack that enhances the overall experience and sound effects that add depth to the gameplay.
Performance: On the technical side, the game runs smoothly with minimal bugs or glitches. The developers have clearly put a lot of effort into optimizing the game, ensuring a seamless experience even on lower-end systems.
Final Thoughts: In conclusion, this game is a must-play for any fan of the genre. It combines breathtaking visuals, engaging gameplay, and a compelling story to create an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for their next gaming adventure.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
I didn't play this for years because I wanted to play the first two games first. Because at the time, nearly a decade ago when I got this, I hated Witcher 1, I ended up missing on Witcher 3. Since then, countless updates and the next-gen update (much more than just incorporating the most popular graphic mods and others) have come through and the game is in its definitive version. I'll address the two DLCs in their own page, so this is solely a base game review, free of spoilers.
Introduction
Few games can touch me so deeply that I become invested in them. KCD, Oblivion and Minecraft are some of these games. And now, Witcher 3 joins this tier of game. I said in my Witcher 2 review that it improved quest design tremendously and this one manages to go even further. There are far more Witcher contracts and the vast majority of them are so unique and fun to do. I felt a little sadness once I got the achievement of completing all of them. The sidequests are far more plentiful and enjoyable, with some being pretty comical and others having ramifications to the main quest. But, of course, the main quest takes the cake. Because this game, unlike its predecessors, is an actual open world, rather than small parts of a world divided by chapters, the main quest had to be similarly all-encompassing. The result is a gigantic adventure spanning three entire regions (and even a couple of dimensions) that easily vaults over fourty hours, 100 counting the sidequests and exploration. And yet, at no point, it felt it was dragging on or stopped making sense. Character personalities was always a strong suit of the Witcher games, even in the first where they felt a bit more 2D than the rest. At no point you feel lost on why you are doing things, because the main quest is led by a core goal: find Ciri. The final battle is insanely fun and tense, even if a little too easy because you can parry and counterattack Eredin.
Like in W2, I imported my save from that game into W3. But unlike W2, I'm not sure if it had any real consequences, besides my Geralt carrying the drunken tattoo. Vernon still greeted me amicably and aided me despite siding with Iorveth eight months before. Yet, the quests in Witcher 3 have consequences to the game world itself, rather than past games influencing outcomes. This is still one of my favorite things about the Witcher games, the fact actions have tangible, even if unpredictable consequences. Even down to the ending, where your actions with Ciri or regarding the assassination of Radovid (whom you help establish as King in Witcher 1) determine the possible endings. It's fantastic.
The Mechanics
Mechanically, the game is a solid step up in all regards, especially in combat. It feels so much more fluid and fair, Geralt's actions are more predictable. It is what Witcher 2's combat wanted to be, but failed in that regard. Parrying matters in this game and while sometimes our hero will still attack stuff you don't want him to (especially during the Wraith battle in the Hearts of Stone DLC), the combat never felt like a chore or impossible, even in difficult battles. This is largely due to potions and oils mattering so much more now. While not straight necessities, they have far more use and importance than in W2, where you couldn't drink in combat and oils didn't affect your damage in a tangible manner. I'm glad they brought back that ability of drinking in battle from W1. What I dislike is how, unlike in the previous games, alchemy was revamped and now it requires specific ingredients rather than anything that has a particular element, leaving the familiar Rubedo, Aether, etc, components to a role of upgrading them to the Superior version. I miss Witcher 1's alchemy that allowed and incentivized experimentation. It didn't require you to learn the recipes, you could just brew them yourself and identify them that way. Alcohol also had more importance as it was the base for the potions and determined their strength. But we can't have a cake and eat it too, it seems. In the end, the current system isn't bad, it just feels limiting compared to what we used to have. However, a thing I don't miss from the past is the skill tree. W3's skill tree and perks are far more interesting and simpler than the gigantic, limiting counterparts of the other games. No longer do you need to invest points in Training or Strength to get a simpler +10% damage. Now there's perks that affect the whole playstyle. Will you prefer to use the weak as hell flamethrower Agni or smite enemies through Rend? In particular I love the alchemy tree this time, it's far more useful and important, with Synergy and the Acquired Tolerance being all-around reliable. I love that Whirl exists, reminding me of the beauty of Group style from the first game.
Witcher sense is far better this time. While in W1 it was just a key press that identified anything interactible nearby like it was some old school MMO, in W2 it became a touch of the medallion to reveal, in a short area, anything worthwhile. In here, it's similar to squinting your eyes, canceling the ability to sprint, but revealing stuff as you go. And you'll be using it so often it becomes second nature, especially when those contracts I mentioned above require a bit of sleuthing to help you prepare and identify the monster. That leads me to the bestiary. Keeping with W2, the journal, character tab and bestiary are written from Dandelion's perspective. The bestiary is, by far, more helpful than the versions the other two games had, with a clear cut strategy using only sign icons, bomb and oils, rather than the lengthier texts of W1. Learning about monsters in detail is no longer required to blow up their nests or collect their drops, which streamlines the experience in a very good way. This is the type of streamlining I love to see in RPGs, rather than, for instance, Bethesda's version, where it washes down everything to make it very simple and shallow as a consequence. Knowledge in Witcher is always half the battle, but in this game, it isn't a mandatory battle, and that makes it less tedious. Still didn't stop me from acquiring every single book in the game.
Passing time
On the topic of minigames, I miss dice poker and arm wrestling. I felt they could be far better done here than in W2, where the physics were janky and laggy. Gwent and horse racing is a suitable replacer, I guess. Gwent in particular was made in two days, and it always felt very unfair, but I guess that's a result of being a card game. For the most part, spies and decoys are very broken and I never felt the need to use any deck besides the Northern Realms. At least fist fighting remained and as you progress, it becomes harder because enemies hit for more while taking less damage. In the end, it makes every battle a waiting game of dodging everything and hammering them when they throw a strong attack, rinse and repeat. I just wished poker and arm wrestling could've stayed.
Conclusion
There's really nothing else I can say. The game does everything it sets out to do far better than its predecessor, while keeping in line with the gameplay that made the first game enjoyable. There are quite a few nods to W1 and W2's story that I fear get lost in someone that never played those games. But if you played those two and now touch this one, you'll find this is the true Witcher experience, through and through.
Absolutely perfect game, 12/10, great story, great gameplay, perfect world to stay in!
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a truly immersive experience. The game's vast open world, filled with intriguing quests and memorable characters, offers countless hours of entertainment. The combat is satisfying, the story is compelling, and the world is beautifully realized.
a fantastic game, truly ahead of its time when it was originally released. The quality, story, gameplay is as good as if it was released in 2024 no joke. I recommend it 1000%

What else can you say about this game, it's video game history

The question is:
When part 4 ??
Graphics, sound, and voice acting are top notch. The mood for almost every area felt unreal.
Unfortunately combat, progression, and some of the open-world elements just didn't click with me. The world felt almost too big at times and while some of the side quests were great, other felt pretty mid. Also a lot of weird dialogue and story choices that just seemed....unusual. I wish I could give a neutral vote instead of a thumbs down, but ultimately I will have to give it a thumbs down. Maybe I'll come back in the future and give it another chance.
would not recomend purchasing this game for PC, there is a good chance it will not open on your computer. I have spent 10+ hours trying everything to get it to open and it just wont. The RED launcher is straight up garbage. You really hate to see stuff like this, an incredible game locked behind something as stupid as a launch failure. Really is a shame, but I have given up trying to get it to work. RIP
The best RPG I have ever played, this game has a vast open world where whatever you can see you can go to, with environment design that makes it feel alive and vibrant. The writing is incredible! Your choices big and small matter and the game reacts to them throughout its' 135 hour story (and that's with me skipping a large chunk of the side content). Random adventures into the unknown unlock new quests and interesting stories that the game lets you discover on your own, no hand-holding involved.
The Witcher 3’s next-gen update is everything fans could’ve hoped for. Visually, it’s a revelation—sharper textures, better lighting, and stunning ray-tracing effects that bring the world of Geralt to life in ways that feel fresh and immersive. Whether you're wandering the forests of Velen or sailing the icy waters of Skellige, the game never looked so good.
But it’s not just about the visuals. Performance has been tuned to perfection, with smoother frame rates and quicker load times, even on high-end systems. The enhanced photo mode and other technical improvements only add to the experience, letting you appreciate this masterpiece even more.
Yet, at its heart, The Witcher 3 remains the same incredible game: a richly detailed world full of unforgettable characters, complex choices, and a story that stays with you long after you put the controller down.
Whether you’re returning for another playthrough or experiencing it for the first time, this next-gen edition is the definitive way to dive back into one of the greatest RPGs ever made.
Verdict: A visual and technical upgrade that enhances an already legendary game. Essential for any RPG fan.
One of the best games I have played. Going to lose a lot of time playing this
At first I found it difficult to get into this game, (And I love RPG's), one day I sat down and told myself "I will play this game and beat it" instead of picking it up for a week and putting it down like I do with many games
The Witcher 3 ended up being one of the best games I've ever played. Incredible story and characters, still beautiful graphics, with the animations being really the only thing that aged, but this game came out in 2015! Fun combat and dialogue, and you really can delve into the role playing aspect of being a Witcher and prepping/researching before battles.
And the DLC was almost like an entire other game, I equally loved both for their own reasons. I wish I could go back to before I beat this game just so I could play it blind again.
TLDR: Easily one of the greatest RPG's ever made. So if you like RPG's you owe it to yourself to play it!
the game is wonderfull, love it so much !
This game is just phenomenal. From the story to the characters everything is just perfect. They polished the combat with this one, unlike the previous entries. If you want great RPG game with good combat, great story, relaxing medieval soundtracks, decent replayability, this game is exactly for you
Took me multiple attempts to actually get into and now I've finished the game multiple times.
Haven't experienced any crashes with the latest updates myself, however performance is a bit temperamental with RT on - admittedly I did wait for a few updates after 4.0 was released as there were issues.
Also Gwent.
As someone coming from The Elder Scrolls franchise, this game is something else. Don't let the stupidly tedious introduction make an impression - or the odd combat controls. You get a hang of it in like 2 hours. At first I hated Geralt because my girlfriend loves him so much. But now I love him as well. Also there's boobs.
After six times of really trying to get into the game, I can finally say that I did not like this game. From the clunky controls to the amount freaking dialogues, it can get pretty tiring and boring. I hate ABSOLUTELY hate the music in this game. THERE IS CONSTANT MUSIC NO MATTER WHAT YOU ARE DOING. Exploring and enjoying the scenery? Music. Trying to find clues and piece together puzzles? Music. TALKING TO NPC's ABOUT SERIOUS MATTERS? MUSIC. Completely breaks the immersion. Other games would mute or pick an appropriate background music depending on the scenario. If it's an emotional moment, there shouldn't be music in the background. But this game just doesn't care what you're doing, there's always that annoying background music.
Honestly, the story is one of the best I've ever seen in a game. But jesus christ the gameplay is just horrendous. Most people who love the game seem to say the same thing from what I've seen. If gameplay is important to you in a game, just watch someone else play the it. A genuine slog to get through, with no challenge
The Witcher books are miserable (read 4 of them), the TV-show is bad, but the game is really interesting. And it still looks good in 2024.
The Witcher 3: wild hunt this is the best game I’ve ever played. This is I think my the most favorite game. I’ve played in this game around 6 times. I love the open world in this game, a lot of different quests, the plot is awesome and RPG mechanics is cool. I like combat mechanics, gameplay , and that you can choose different Witcher school to play. Viper school, bear school, wolf , Cat school , griffin etc. That’s why I love it. There are also a lot of side quest and hidden quest with treasures and others. I’m playing also in the Witcher 1 and once I finish planning to go to Witcher 2. Everyone should to try this games guys. You gonna become a big fun of this game. Good luck!
This game is almost 10 years old and has breath taking graphics, a compelling story and it's a perfect rpg game. The mechanics, the fights, the world and the map just everything is perfect if you're looking for an rpg game. If you're just getting into rpg games i would really recommend this one. Masterpiece!
