ABOUT THIS GAME
Players will be immune from the virus outbreak and must survive the situation by hoarding food, finding shelter and protecting yourself from wildlife, bandits, and infected. Players can also help other survivors and get the survivors to join your camp.
Players will experience dense mist that can happen at any time. The dense mist environment is accompanied by certain events, such as the infected people come around to find preys.
People who are infected and mutated will be able to come out outdoors at night or when there is no sunshine that means they can also hunt players while the fog is covered.

The game need a lot of improvements, i personally like the game but it quickly becomes boring
For how cheap it is its worth getting. I've had a lot of fun with it. Is it perfect? No not at all. If you like looting, crafting and making bases this is pretty decent. It's been in development for 7 years now...But hey, its only 11 bucks or what ever it is now. You will get your moneys worth out of it by far if you can work around its goofiness.
I cannot recommend this game in its current state. It has been in early access for over 6 years and nearly 5 months, and while I initially enjoyed it, the overall development progress has been disappointing.
When I first purchased the game, I had some fun exploring its original map. However, the developer later replaced that map with a new one, which prompted me to replay the game. While the new map was interesting, it was eventually replaced again with another map. This latest map introduced a large boss but lacked any meaningful loot. The pattern seems clear: with every major update, the map is completely redone, resulting in an inconsistent experience.
Additionally, features such as the respawn loot option have been removed, and the game offers limited content overall. Gameplay quickly becomes repetitive due to the lack of a compelling story or substantial objectives beyond the initial text introduction. The maps are relatively small, and updates—whether big or small—often introduce numerous bugs.
It’s evident that this project is more of a personal hobby for the developer than a focused effort to create a polished and complete game. Despite its potential, the game has made little headway, and the frequent rework of existing features and maps gives the impression of a lack of clear direction. For a game in early access for over six years, it’s disappointing that resources haven’t been allocated to expedite its development or bring it closer to completion.
I had high hopes when I purchased the game closer to its early release, but the lack of meaningful progress and repeated rehashing of the same features have made it difficult to remain optimistic about its future.
It has the bones of being insanely great. As it currently stands its above average and with early access bugs are present. Still alot of fun really wish games like this with great systems and interfaces had more coders to help the vision get to the place i know the dev wants to bring it to.
Very buggy, I've lost good progress by getting stuck into random places. Also unnecessarily taxing on my PC despite running fine at the beginning.
I love the gameplay and the look. It is still so much behind full release and so much to do. But i see so much potential to be one of the best indie games out there. For the price i will say it is a bargain.
its a fun game, lots of potential, i like the pew pews, and the reloads, very well done, little glitchy with the vehicles, but this is still being built, and the updates seem to be coming frequently which is a good thing, map is a little small, but there is enough to keep you busy for a while, once this is finished i will highly recommend , but right now i give it a 7 out of 10
This game is not even close to being finished. I have had this game since multiple years and stopped playing every time because of its bugs. The Survivor system is not working and poorly implemented. As of V0,62 I am not able to transfer items with them. Other bugs (some of which have been in the game for years) like not working chickens (don’t eat/drink reproduce and lay eggs); car parts disappearing; Deleting of progress from missions (Ricks camp gets deleted after game restart);clipping through the floor; deleted Items and a lot more bugs keep getting ignored since a long time. Some updates even break existing features which are not being fixed in the patches (the chickens once worked). Instead of fixing all of these game breaking bugs they keep on adding new non finished features and changing the map, which hardly improve the core gameplay.
The Game has potential and has a very nice idea behind it and many features could be fun if implemented in a working way but as of this moment the game is not very enjoyable.
I know this game has some years on it and honestly, when i got it I wondered if it would progress. It's such a cool take on basic zombie games. I was so happy to see the latest update adding new fixes and content! Don't give up on this game as the Dev hasn't.
You get stuck in environment just way to often, and there is no "unstuck" option.
Played for couple of hours today, several times i had ~15 minutes of progress lost, falling out of the map, or getting stuck in walls...
Game development started out great, was a game with potential, but there are just too many bugs now. I want to play this game, I really do, but every time I come back to play it I just give up due to the bugs. One of the only games I've watched the development go from playable to a unstable mess. But it's still in development so, you never know, things could still change...
It took over 10 minutes to launch with reduced settings. Once I got into the game, trees wouldn't even render for several minutes until I thought I was transported into a forest which previously looked like a desert wasteland.
After 88 minutes, I stopped playing the game because I encountered multiple frustrating bugs right from the start. I kept getting stuck in various places, and even the respawn option didn’t work, which made it impossible to continue. At that point, I had enough.
However, after noticing a new update with bug fixes, I decided to give it another try. The game is captivating, especially if you’re a fan of this genre. The survival mechanics and atmosphere are engaging.
Unfortunately, the bugs persist, and it seems new ones have emerged as well. This is disappointing because the game has so much potential. It’s great within its genre, and I hope the developer continues to roll out updates to polish it further.
At this point, I’m not sure if I would recommend Mist Survival. If you do decide to give it a try, save your progress often to avoid losing it due to bugs.
Ok, I really wanted to like this game and for a short while I did. I got into it and started watching YouTube videos/reviews. I quickly ran out of things to do so I was looking for what I was missing. Once I saw the 'rough' road-map for dev I was excited for what was coming.. then... I started noticing that all the 'neat' stuff had been removed from the game. Entire maps gone. Features, etc.. it's NOT a challenge by any means. Do you get attacked at base? No. Do other survivors roam or come after you. No. Do the 'infected' come out at night? No (Unless there is a night mist event). There are no 'real' threats. I remember thinking 'oh cool, dev is working on a turret for the SUV' Then I saw a video that turned out to be from years ago with the turret on the SUV... it's not new. I can't help but feeling like we are being gaslight/fleeced...
"I'll just take things out, rework them, add them back in and say 'look at the progress'" I mean let's not bother fixing bugs. Let's not make what's there work better. Let's not expand what already exists. Let's instead rip stuff out, then add it back in so we can generate more hype and get more people to buy..." I keep hearing "It's just one guy writing it all be patient and understanding" well... how about actual forward progress, how about actually fixing long existing bugs, how about making the game enjoyable. Stop ripping things out, slapping some lipstick on it, and adding it back in as 'new'.
Don't believe me? Look at the older videos from like 2022 and then try and find the stuff in the current game...
realy good game saw fooster play it and wanted it
The dev and game are very much alive, latest update 12/24/24 is great, support smallprojects like this. It has come a good way this last year. I am here for it all. Good times.
This game is absolutly horrible do not download, I contracted HIV and Aids all from this game. I now have terminal testicular cancer in my peanits one might say
Mist is a fun survival game that is slowly progressing into a good game to purchase. Currently with some of the in game mechanics still needing further development I am 50/50 on whether to recommend it or not. If you can get it on sale it is worth playing for a time and it will be great to see how the game fleshes out as the Dev continues to work on it. If you don't mind a little glitches now and then you should try it out for yourself.
Good game. You are able to feel alot of passion went into this.
Only issue is the zombies are not atta king me at night or when the mist approaches.

that game is now completely unplayable.. I played some years ago and graphics were very nice, gameplay was awesome. it just needed content.
IDK what happend since but now my save game is gone, the graphics are below skyrim level, the gameplay is atrocious, loot windows overlapping, shadows are the worst I have ever seen, and if you deactivate shadows, you lose all textures. I am extremely disapointed and will consider this game, a completely failed project.. how can one fall so low when everything was already almost perfect. at epic setting this game look 25x more horrible than it was some 2 years ago, what gives ?
Waste of money, still in early development, performance issues, graphical glitches, hundreds of bugs, no proper tutorial some locations look finished but have no loot. I didn't even realise there was a map until I started button mashing.

A bit buggy, save often! But a lot of fun if you like survival strategy games. Highly addictive!
This is a good game, with a good idea, but as of now, for the general public, its just too buggy and glitchy to be worth the money, give it a couple of years when its out of EA, then it should be good to go, the car physics, and health system need some fixing, that's about it, 4/10
Too many glitches and problems to be "enjoyable" - getting stuck in scenery is a big problem, unless you save every time just before you are going to do something, then be prepared to lose a lot of progress.. infected constantly respawn in areas you've "cleared" but loot doesn't, so you'll soon run out of items! I did enjoy playing, but just too many problems unfortunately that don't appear to be getting fixed which is a pity.. I may come back in a few months time to see if issues have been addressed.

I want to love this game, i feel it could be there but it needs work.

game is great fell in to having an issue when u pick the guns up when u kill the guys and ther broke with no way to build/repair them and the game would be better if there possibly was more clothing armour weapons materials and that cant wait to see wat happens in the future with the game
The game is fun, fairly difficult (not a lot of help and have to figure some things out by experience). Some in-game tutorials or more hints would be helpful. Took me forever to finally get a 4 wheeler up and running. I thought I had a truck ready to go but it doesn't work, no idea why (hence the need for more info/help).
The game is fun and has great potential, but, It's frustrating that the zombies re-spawn but the tools and weapons don't. Materials get very scarce and if you die and revive yourself, you lose some of your stuff and lots of it can't easily be replaced. So you're screwed. I am quickly getting bored with the game because I can't find tools, ammo and other stuff that I have lost and can't seem to replace.

This game is very fun for the first 2 hours. A little while after that, it becomes very boring. I would suggest investing your money into other games.

All these negative comments criticizing the game is ALMOST like they don't know the game is made by 1 or 2 people and its in early access... Trust the devs, they are trying their best. This game is amazing. Sure, it is pretty buggy but I ignore the bugs and be thankful for everything else they have done for the game. Some bugs may make the game SEEM unplayable, but never forget that it is a small dev team. If one person truly made this, it truly is a masterpiece. Unforgettable. What survival game made by a multi-billion $ company added friendly AI to their game that you can work, bring to your base, and interact with? None unless its mods. Indie devs are the best, they ALWAYS know the best mechanics. This game is my dream game and I thank god everyday that someone created it.
I'd like to play this game more but it's so lacking, I know things are slowly being added and I check from time to time but the dude needs to hire some more programmers, designers, content creators bug fixers. Mostly spend more money get the product fixed and add more stuff quicker. The game has potential but 1 developer is holding it back with a big fat bungie cord. I bought this game cause I like it a while back but man I regret my purchasing choice now.
Most of the Game is fun to play but has LOTS of bugs and problems and is very underdeveloped....Game still needs alot of work!!!!

It seems like a new game tipe of problem but its not a new game...Its been released in 2018.
There is no ingame bug report option or somewhere to complain about ingame problems.
3 Enemies. Zombs, Bears, and Bandits. Everything crafting is a mess, IE you make "sticks" out of "branches"...
Starting a fire took me 2 real life hours, because I couldn't find starter. The game will probably never be completed. A friend of mine got me into the game years ago, thought I would take a look at it again and wasted 10 USD. Steam fatty garbage.
From the games thorough development and how the game has changed from the buggy, laggy game it once was, this a definetly one of the 100% avaliable on steam.
Great concept but got 2 cars full of gear floating mid air after using the jack to upright my car, your rides go over far far to easy caravans need to also be able to upright same way you do your rides lost a caravan with some great loot in it and of late had a few crashes/kick outs also
The Game is Fun as a Single Player Survival Game. of Course as it is an Early access game there will be bugs, not rage inducing bugs, but for what it is Yes i would recommend.
PS: but for the Devs i would say before making new content gotta try fixing the bugs first.
This game as a whole is mediocre and lacklustre. It's not the worst take on a zombie survival game but it does it so poorly that I can’t bring myself to play it for more than 1 minute.
It needs a major overhaul before it can really live up to what it needs to be. The movement is floaty and janky and the combat is awful.
i can not Fault this game The developers are always keeping up with updates/ patches that may need to be amended. After a fun survival game then this is the one to check out.
