ABOUT THIS GAME
Players will be immune from the virus outbreak and must survive the situation by hoarding food, finding shelter and protecting yourself from wildlife, bandits, and infected. Players can also help other survivors and get the survivors to join your camp.
Players will experience dense mist that can happen at any time. The dense mist environment is accompanied by certain events, such as the infected people come around to find preys.

I wish I could play the game they showed in the trailer. Instead, I got some garbage. The graphics are terrible, the controls reset, and there aren't enough starting resources. In the end, the game just tells me to sit and wait all night in a house. Thanks, great experience.
Probably one the worst survival games I've played. The movements are horrendous almost like they just gave up on the game.
game really do have potentual can you work out the bugs? ill help if need to to pin em out but please dont give up on this game
i would recommend this game to other players and i under stand its still in development but i think we should be able to see our own markers and yes there but i still think there should be your own marker on the map so you can keep track where you are at. i just started the game fun game but most my hours played are constantly looking for my base which is a little annoying i think wrenches should be put into the game so you can break cars down with wrenched then a sledge hammer just makes more sense break cars down with a wrench, and maybe also have loot respond like every 10 days. like i said great game i would def recommend this game to others. again i understand its still under development and also maybe include other animals other then chickens and bears and fish you can hunt like deer etc and maybe be able to repair and vehicles others then set of vehicle which you might be able too i could just be missing something. and also maybe like a armor bench to be put in to make other armor big thing for me right now is should be able to see your own marker without needing additional things to mark your self. and be able to hunt other stuff other then chickens and bears for food and fishing wise. and would like to see other benches you could make. again ive only played about 8 hours but again most of these hours where constantly trying find my home base.
This game is very slow to evolve and at times things tend to get broken when it does evolve, it is still a very good game to play. I would love to see more NPC to interact with and send to the base camp in the future.
this is Early Access game, tho the mechanic is kinda good i like how we could interact almost every object on the game, semis parkour like?, but ofc for now still many bug and limited actions, i hope the game keep growing tho. cant w8 the future updates.
Development may be a little slow, but I keep coming back to it and there's more to enjoy every time. If you enjoy survival craft games, it's definitely worth the pick up :)
played it for 20 mins had no tutorial, kinda complex and died bc melee combat sucks will try again after its not so rough around the edges its a shame bc i love games like this but its not beginner friendly
I really wanted to like this game, it has all the elements im looking for in a zombie survival, and graphically is above most... that being said, any time i load up a save after exiting... it respawns me in the floor, i fall.. i die... all my stuff is gone... again i really want to like this game, please give it some love devs... please.
as an og player i can confirm the updates are making this game amazing once my financence allow it i will buy and donate some copies
is the game just broken now? Havnt played in a long time but none of the key binds work even after changing the binds returning them to default deleted and installed again still have the same issue this just a thing now??
no review because game isnt playable dont even think aboutbuying this game.Evn if its free nhot even worth it
Install game.
Play game.
BeenAWhile.exe.
Wander for a bit.
Claim my cabin in the woods like I remember I did last time... with a little workshop garage and everything!
Store some stuff in some cabinets.
Go out to find more.
Get a shotgun! Yay!
The Mist has arrived.
Ah, Sh!t...
Go back to base.
"Enemy Detected"
I was followed by a lone zombie!
Not a problem! Pull out my trusty shovel an... I'm dead. Huh.
Proceed to get my sh!t pushed in for eighteen minutes as I Die, spawn, get a popup telling me about all the stuff I just lost and how bad it was, and immediately die to the exact same zombie in the exact same spot again and again before I can do anything.
Shovel breaks.
Knife breaks.
Inventory is all gone.
Clothes destroyed.
Exit Game.
Uninstall for another two years.
What the actual F*ck is this?
I literally lost everything to one balding chud zombie who looked like a more attractive Andrew Tate.
This game is hot garbage, now. Whatever happened to the version we had back then that actually worked, and was somewhat fun?
very fun game has a lot of stuff to do
I bought the game about a year ago and I really enjoyed it but then all objects on the map just disapeared it took my 8 hours of this game just to have nothing so I stopped playing it. After a year I said I would play it again and it would be much better but not much has changed.
-INVIDIA DLSS doesn't work
-low fov my opinion pls add more
-the game is a bit buggy but it's early access
so I hope they fix these things asap, especially the fov and DLSS and the bugs. THANK YOU
not ready for coop single player is bad enough with the bugs crawling everywhere and npc issues.
For the price, the game is outstanding. It does have a few bugs, but overall, it's a really good game. Unfortunately, it's not optimized yet, as I frequently experience FPS drops. Another complaint I have is that the "zombies" move a bit too fast and are too resistant to damage. I also find it a shame that the map is really small; it definitely has room for improvement. The fact that the trailer, for example, behaves as if it were rigidly mounted is a bit annoying. But the game is still in Early Access. I can definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a few hours of fun.
it could be amazing but needs a lot of ui work
Great game until you try and rescue a survivor and your game bugs out so you cant open inventory or main menu..... I couldnt save no matter what I did so I lost 2 hours of gameplay.. Uninstalled. First time this happened I exited to main menu without saving and theres no "are u sure you want to leave without saving" pop up it just closes.
Open world, survival, crafting and zombie games are quite literally the only games I find myself playing most of the time. Mist Survival hit every check mark for me, at least it appeared to, when I decided to buy it. After finally giving it a go, I liked it. The graphics were good, the environment looked great and the crafting wasn't too shabby. I thought after about an hour of playing Mist Survival it would be a home run! Eeek! My opinion quickly changed as I realized each time I created a new character everything was identical. Items are in the same location and enemies in the same place. I quickly realized the map was not going to be randomized. That's an okay thing for a first time play through, but it's not okay if you are considering this game for replay-ability or if you have an untimely death and forget to save. What I expected, was not what I was playing.
Here's the good news, you'll likely get your $11 USD worth of money out of Mist Survival and I think it's fairly priced but I can't help but see too many bugs and glitches. In my 7+ hours of playing the following happened to me: fell through the map to the point I had to commit suicide, zombie glitched into the ground and later killed me, items fly through the sky when you drop them, items disappear, your character will glitch after getting hit and you'll have to commit suicide in order to get out of the "laying on the ground state". That's just a few of the many issues I encountered in my short stint of playing Mist Survival.
I know I said some pretty damning things, BUT I always take into account the cost and value I get out of the game PLUS what I think the game could still have happen since it is technically still in early access. I'm going to give the game a thumbs up, with a huge "I hope it get's better and the game is improved" acknowledgement. Mist Survival isn't great but it's not the worst decision you'll ever make if you decide to spend your money on it.
There are too many bugs with the dropping of itmes.
Love the game. New to PC gaming, so it has been a challenge. Still cannot figure out how to do many things. But i will try and figure it out. Hoping the game is finalized soon.
I want to say firstly that I am saying I do not recommend this game because there are way too many problems as of now yes it is only $11 but at this current moment it would be a waste of money. I've been playing this game for a while now and I keep running into the same issues.
List of issues.
When I first load in there's a 50/50 chance I phase through the map and die instantly
Guns not working despite having ammunition to use them
50/50 chance of getting into a vehicle and it phasing through the map or hovering.
The infected spawning in walls or on the wrong side of them.
Survivors not being able to use them other than taking up space. I can't get them to collect anything do anything fight nothing.
I go to access my shelter command and even though I am moved into the White House it still shows a basic shelter as my base I cannot access floor plan, I cannot allow survivors to enter the house or do any work.
Not really a performance issue more of a preference if I pay money for a game I would like to not be spelling errors.
There are other things that I'm sure I'm going to encounter. But as of right now I will not playing this game anymore. I guess it's back to looking for good survival game.
Even though the game is still being worked in my opinion it has grate potential. cant wait for the finished product. would like to see a bit more zombies around the world but so far so good.
right now, I cannot play this game because the poor POV settings just make me nauseous. Dev, please find some time to find the issue where changes in the settings menu are just not applied no matter how many times I try.
idk why this game has positive reviews it is single handed the worst game ive played in years!!! they make the video look semi good but in real life the game is a dead world with crappy Ai that hardly works, literally everything you do feels like your playing in a box world! and looks about the same, the graphic in the video do not what so ever actually look half that good!!! i dont know what else to say beside to not buy this game its trash and far far outdated even tho its still in early Access its going to be staying that way for a long long time ! DEVS PLEASE GIVE UP ITS BEEN LONG ENOUGH ITS NOT HAPPENING
I've seen a lot of poor quality zombie games. If you don't mind clunky games maybe try this, but it's just extremely inconsistent and feels bad. I've seen comparisons to Project Zomboid (which I could play forever) and I don't see it. There are some goals you can identify, but it just feels boring.
Melee combat doesn't work well (Maybe you have to craft a shield to not get thrashed). I haven't tried to see how good ranged combat is. I mostly avoided zombies, which you can do surprisingly easily if you don't go out at night, go into infested buildings, or get caught outside in the mist.
There are parts of the game that appear to have a lot of passion put into them, such as graphic sequences and a few interactions, but the polish is all in the most ineffective places, to make you go "oh that was kinda cool", and glaringly absent in other areas. Base building and placing items is almost good (it's nice that item placement feels somewhat forgiving), but is clunky anyway. Probably because the inventory system feels bad and most controls aren't very intuitive.
Its just weird to have such a strange combination of interesting, yet inconsistent and janky gameplay. I wanted to like it, but found myself mind numbingly bored. Also, the grammar and word usage is off.
the game and idea is super cool. some suggestions for the dev would be to add more usable loot. and maybe a beginning weapon to combat zombies. i have only played a short amount of time and have only ever found a knife. ive found plenty of ammo but no guns. i do understand i need to play more to find the loot but i feel like there would be a little more usable stuff left over in a post apocalyptic setting but that is just my opinion. awesome game. excited to see how it progresses
Love the game honestly would be much more fun in multiplayer i hope they add it soon but over all very fun
I really like this Game. Was turned onto it by Game Edged on youtube ( Props to him he's awesome). That said there are some bugs in the game and they get annoying but over all the game is a blast.
L have problem in game there many bags such as l cand fill gas cane and many bags please help me
The satisfaction gained from the looting along with building to survive is outstanding. Not to mention the looming threat of an oncoming mist. To die for !!!
its a good game but overall its still need a lot of optimizations and improvement, it sucks that there is so many cars and you can only drive two it would be super fun if you could fix any car and drive it, would also be cool if car fixing requierements where more complex like not just a engine and battery would be cool if we also needed sparkplugs on light bulbs to fix the car lights, the map feels a bit empty a part from bandits and canibals would be fun if you could also encounter other npcs in towns or suvivor groups doing their own thing or building their own camps and maybe fight them or get them to join you because rn the game is good but its feels loneley
Brother. please.
make this game make sense.... i just keep collecting stuff just to get 2 hit by an idiot out in the sun, burning like my sins but unlike them this fucker still got the WILL and POWER to 1 tap me like IM the victim. and once i collected all the stuff nearby i gata walk for an hour to the next location with a backpack full of garbage and the whole time im saying WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY i saw the thing at the start about me being immune but thats the WHOLE STORY?!? or atleast it was for me for 5 hours before i went back to Runescape. please make this game playable as a GAME and not something i gata spend 10 minutes ranting about till i get mad enough to write this. FFS im tired from work.dont need this shit. would love to clear out the village but enemies keep respawning BuT nOt ThE bUlLeTs?!?i!?i?! gata start a new game and just hide? is stealth the only option? cant fight with a knife, ill just get 2 tapped by a zombie burning in the sun... because this bum got more hands then me... even with a FUCKEN BAT! literally dont know how you want me to play the game?
IMO
-slow enemies down and ASK IF I WANT ENEMY RESPAWN
-every 3 -5 days add loot respawn to larger locations
-give me goals
-add "hurt" visual so i know im about to get slaped into next week.
let me punch a bear to death if i get him stuck in a corner (if the games gona be buggy, make it funny) helps people cope and not wonder if they wasted their money. cheers
ps. dont be a hoe. xoxo
Good game, great graphics, good story, easy to learn and play!!
amazing game love how everything works cant wait for multiplayer
I do believe this game has a lot of potential, but there are still bugs that need fixed such as, i cant take gas out of vehicles and it don't tell me what buttons to push to do things, I just pushed random buttons to figure it out. But other that i can't wait until these are fixed and there is co-op. Its a game that could last a very long time if cards are played right in development.
A Mist Survival review is the toughest thing I've done in a while. After 226+ hours played (starting in 2018), I SO want to like this game, but it just won't let me. It's like a beautiful woman who loves you, but knees you in the nuts randomly.
The concept of a strange random mist allowing zombie type creatures to run wild is great. That's why I bought it originally. This works well and seeing the visibility dropping when far away from safety is compelling.
- BUT -
This game is so consistently inconsistent. What I see, over and over, are changes that break things in-game that were working before. There's been at least three major updates to the map I'm aware of. These cause glitches that really bog you down in places. Features that worked nicely, don't work today, or they do work, but the method has changed. One example, there used to be a stump you could build for cutting firewood. Worked great and made sense. That is gone and now to make firewood, you have to hit a log laying on the ground with a sledgehammer(!?)
I get the game is early access from a really small developer, but this sort of thing has been happening continually for seven years. New features break existing ones all the time. You could get Scott to cut trees quite successfully while collecting branches and leaves to make lashing. Now, you give him an axe and he's supposed to do it automatically, but he just sits there all day. You hit a bandit camp, fill up your inventory and go back to base, drop off and return. When you do, the bandits have already respawned. Also, new addition is a Japanese Pagoda building. Beautiful to look at, several nicely rendered towers, but nothing within is interactable. You can't use it as a base because nothing inside is destructable.
It's the best of games and the worse of games at the same time. I drop in every six months hoping things will be better, but I keep hitting a wall of frustration with the game mechanics not doing what they should.
I wish the devs well with this project, but things need to stabilize and improve across the board. Until that happens I can only recommend this game for masochists.
YMMV, of course.
I purchased mist survival a few days ago but it does not include the latest upgrade...06.2 which obviously means I am playing an old version of the game. Anybody help?
Died constantly in a loop due to injured leg and bleeding. I want to love this game but I can't if it's constantly killing me over something that is out of my control. med kit? injured takes damage and opens wound again, process repeats. sleep? can't before damage tic, process repeats. did this for an hour before getting so mad and uninstalling. Don't buy until full release, if it makes it that far.
I've been looking for a game just like this for a while now. It's a great zombie Survival for a single player.
played the game for a solid hourish. now it wont launch and keeps saying im running out of Vram. and my spec's can run this game into the dirt. dont waste your money. buy something else
There are too many bugs that will prevent you from moving forward. The updates are sparsely spread out and not consistent. Without consistency, it is hard to tell if the game is abandoned or not. The game constantly shows loot, and when you move nearer, it disappears. Load times are dred unbaringly long, Saves don't have basic identifying information like date and time, there is no way to load a saved game without exiting the game, and these are just the major discouraging lackings of Mist Survival.
I like the concept of this game. It could really be one of the better casual survival crafting games. The map is a little smaller than what I am used to from other games in the genre, but it is still in Early Access.
Absolute garbage and a waste of money ...all this time and its still saturated with problems
I love this game i just wish multiplayer comes soon and i know it says it needs an ssd but it works fine on old hdd
i would recommend to anyone looking for a good survival game and trust me when i say it can scare the s### out of u the perfect combo between zombie and open world survival crafter i would even say it is one of the best . Thank u keep up the good work devs !!!
Fun but not fancy. Feels like someones passion project. Think of if the forest was made by like one or two blokes. Dont have high expectations and I think youll have a great time. For the $11 theyre charging right now I would recommend. Hope they continue to stick with it, and I believe they have. As of Jan 2025 there is still a lot of game breaking bugs.
Game has been worked on for a really long time, updates seem to add almost nothing new. Each update is a update that has already happened before: "new" map (not bigger), npcs (in it for a long time, then taken out, then added back), and only options for transportation are an atv, truck or a suv. All these things were taken out and then re-added to make "big" updates to show new progress.
I would rather just get my money back at this point, got it a few years ago expecting decent progress, but each update is a redone old update.
I think all the buildings should be accessible to create a base or loot
Yes, this game is actively being worked on. However, 7 years of early access should be enough to present a finished product instead of a buggy mess.
dont know what yall have done since i played last...like 8 months...but this game has become trash....it was better 8 months ago...wow...
