this game has ruined my life do not put hours into this game or you might get addicted and not beable to shower anymore
this is a good game but the fact the i doesnt run on many pcs is not good but i still like it=)
i hate this game so much but cant stop playing i js wanna quit and never play agian
As you cant play this game alone and ive never played it in PvE i cant rly talk about the PvE aspect of the game. But the PvP in this game is just really nice, there are alot of things you can master as movement, recoil control and just your aim in general, you have to learn the map and monuments and it really is alot of fun when played with friends. But be ready to spent alot of time in this game as you have to really no life this game if u want to be in the top players on a server.
Literally and absolutely the worst gaming experience of all time don't spend your money on this game
Sometimes make me feel like i could be featured on the newest netflix docu series but sometimes it fun wouldnt reccomend if u are a sane person
Rust is the raw, unfiltered survival experience that strips you down to your bare essentials—and then challenges you to fight tooth and nail for every inch of your existence. Developed by Facepunch Studios, this multiplayer sandbox is brutal, unforgiving, and addictively complex.
At its core, Rust is a multiplayer survival game where players start almost naked and weaponless in a vast, hostile wilderness. Your first task: gather resources like wood, stone, and metal to craft tools, build shelters, and defend yourself from the environment—and more importantly, from other players.
What sets Rust apart is its player-driven chaos. PvP encounters can range from tense standoffs to brutal raids on player-built bases. Trust is a rare commodity, and alliances can crumble in seconds. Every day is a test of your wits, social skills, and combat prowess.
The base-building system is deep and rewarding. You can create anything from a simple hideout to sprawling fortresses with traps and defense turrets. Crafting requires scavenging and smart resource management, and bases evolve as players upgrade and reinforce them.
The world itself is beautifully rugged, with diverse biomes, weather effects, and wildlife. Aside from other players, you’ll contend with hunger, thirst, radiation zones, and dangerous animals like bears and wolves. Environmental threats keep you on edge, making solo survival a true challenge.
Rust’s community is as infamous as the game itself—known for its ruthlessness, creativity, and sometimes toxic competitiveness. Whether you’re playing on official servers or community-run ones, expect drama, friendships, betrayals, and memorable moments. Cooperation and betrayal go hand in hand, making every session unpredictable.
Graphically, Rust offers realistic environments with impressive lighting and weather effects. While it can be demanding on hardware, optimizations have improved over time. The game’s immersive soundscape—creaking wood, distant gunfire, howling wolves—adds tension and atmosphere.
Rust is not for the faint-hearted. It’s a gritty, emergent sandbox where every interaction matters and survival is earned, not given. The thrill of building a base, the adrenaline of a firefight, and the sting of betrayal combine into an experience that’s as frustrating as it is addictive.
If you crave a survival game that challenges your resourcefulness and social instincts, Rust delivers an unforgettable—and sometimes brutal—adventure.
Raw, ruthless, and relentlessly rewarding—Rust is survival stripped down to its fiercest core.
Rating: 8/10
Rust isn’t just a game. It’s a digital wasteland ruled by the nastiest collection of naked psychos you’ll ever encounter. Imagine dropping into a world where everyone’s a raging maniac with the social skills of a brick and the morals of a hyena on steroids.
You start off vulnerable and clueless, which is already a nightmare — but the players? Oh, they make it worse. These aren’t teammates; they’re backstabbing, door-kicking, griefing little goblins who find joy in ruining your day faster than you can say “friendly fire.”
Step one: log in and get ganked by some naked kid screaming nonsense into their mic like they just discovered puberty and want the whole server to suffer. Step two: watch as a clan of toxic basement dwellers with an unhealthy obsession for “raiding” your 3-hour painstaking base turns your hard work into a pile of digital ashes while they laugh like they’re in a horror movie.
Trying to make friends? Ha. Rust players treat “trust” like it’s a weapon — they’ll stab you in the back so fast your character won’t even have time to say “wait, bro.” Loyalty is a myth, and if you think you can count on your “team,” congratulations — you’re about to be betrayed harder than your last Tinder date.
And don’t get me started on the “communication.” Voice chat is just a nonstop symphony of rage, insults, and screeching. It’s like the evolutionary dead-end of human interaction, where every sentence is some variation of “you suck, get rekt, noob.”
Rust’s player base has the empathy of a rock and the patience of a toddler hyped up on sugar. They’ll camp your spawn, shoot you in the back repeatedly, and steal your loot just because they can. It’s a bloodbath where every session feels like being hunted by a pack of wild, emotionally stunted wolves with keyboards.
Final Rating:
🪓 Gameplay: 5/10 (if you enjoy punching rocks and screaming at your monitor)
😡 Players: 0/10 — literal sociopaths in digital form
🔥 Toxicity: Through the roof, igniting every session into a dumpster fire
💀 Trustworthiness: Nonexistent, like a unicorn riding a rainbow
If you want a game where you get bullied by every single player on the server and your closest ally is a tree, Rust delivers — in pure, unfiltered misery.
Otherwise, run far, far away before the naked psychopaths find you.
Worst game ever do not buy is very adicting and will ruin your life please for the mercy of god dont buy
i can not describe how much i hate this game. theres is nothing fun or enjoying about it.it is nothing but pain and suffering.Pure hell. i would never recommend this game to my opps.
Only fun for the unemployed. If you have a j*b and can't commit 10+ hours a day, often staying up till 3am during a wipe, stay far away from this game.
I bought rust with the expectation that it would be grueling, and in reality it is. But playing with friends really changed my perspective of this game, fun raids, roaming, building, and the late night talks with your friends as you await the offline. 10/10 game
Alot can happen in this game lve built and destroyed empires. ive been trusted and betrayed. i love this game because there are definitely more elements than just pvp not everyone can appreciate that but anyone who can has alot more fun than when not raiding or mindlessly killing. all in all explore create and GAMBLE GAMBLE DO IT NOW NO YOU DONT NEED THAT LAST FIVE SCRAP IN YOUR POCKET GO TO BANDI CAMP OR OUTPOST AND GAMBLE. Also this game requires you have alot of free time and a will of iron.
Please dont buy this game is full of cheaters and roofcampers. You will gain for satisfaction from a career at Tacobell
Rust is an intense and unapologetic multiplayer survival game that drops you—naked and alone—into a harsh, post-apocalyptic world with one goal: survive by any means necessary. Armed with just a rock and a torch, you’re left to scavenge, craft, build, and fight to stake your place in a world where everything can be lost in an instant. Developed by Facepunch Studios, Rust thrives on chaos, creativity, and the unpredictable nature of human interaction.
At its core, Rust is a sandbox of possibility. Its deep survival systems—ranging from hunting and base-building to electricity and automated defenses—offer a lot for players to master. What really sets Rust apart, though, is the emergent gameplay that comes from player encounters. Whether you’re bartering, forming alliances, betraying others, or getting ambushed while cooking some chicken, every interaction feels raw and unscripted. Voice chat adds a whole other layer of unpredictability, often leading to hilarious, terrifying, or oddly heartwarming moments.
Combat and raiding are central to the experience, and Rust handles them well. Gunplay feels responsive and intense, with recoil patterns and bullet drop adding a skill element. Raiding another player’s base—or defending your own—is high-stakes, nerve-wracking, and often the highlight of a session. Exploration is rewarded too, with massive, dangerous monuments (like missile silos and abandoned labs) that house valuable loot if you can survive the defenses.
But Rust is not for everyone. The learning curve is steep and often brutal, especially for new players. The lack of a tutorial, combined with the presence of veteran players and groups who dominate servers, can make early hours feel more like a hazing ritual than a game. There’s also the infamous community reputation to contend with—griefing, trash talk, and toxic behavior can run rampant, though some servers are more chill depending on their rules and moderation. Add in a hefty time investment (bases decay if you don’t log in, and wipes reset your progress regularly), and it becomes clear: this isn’t a game you can dip in and out of casually.
Performance has improved over time, with much better graphics, lighting, and audio design than its early days. Still, bugs and optimization issues do linger, especially on older consoles or low-end PCs. That said, when it’s running smoothly, Rust’s environments—from snowy mountain peaks to dense forests—can be surprisingly beautiful and immersive.
In the end, Rust is a game of extremes. It’s ruthless, often frustrating, and sometimes ridiculous—but it’s also one of the most dynamic and engaging multiplayer experiences out there. If you can handle the grind, the griefers, and the occasional betrayal from someone you just helped survive the night, Rust delivers a raw, unscripted kind of gameplay that few other titles can replicate.
Verdict: 8.5/10.
Rust is brutal, brilliant, and endlessly replayable—if you’ve got the nerve (and time) to handle it.
Rust is a malicious experience rife with betrayal, cruelty and greed. That can make it both frustrating and sublime in equal doses. Rust goes where no other survival game has and provides an incredibly threatening experience that, like a car accident, is equal parts horrifying and mystifying.
Best game ever made. You will always have the time of your life playing it. You will also enjoy the community. Would buy 10x over again. Suggest getting it and going ahead and uninstalling every other game on your steam.
Absolute Rage factory. Everyone shoots first asks questions later (aka no questions at all) instead of negotiation.
Rust is one of the most intense and unpredictable survival games out there. You start with absolutely nothing naked, alone, and holding a rock. From there, your goal is simple: survive. But in Rust, nothing is ever simple.
The world is harsh. Other players will hunt you, betray you, and raid your base without hesitation. The PvP is fast and unforgiving, and there’s a constant threat of losing everything you’ve worked for. But that’s also what makes Rust so thrilling. Every victory feels earned, every alliance is a risk, and every wipe brings new chaos.
The building system is deep, the gunplay feels solid, and updates from Facepunch keep the game evolving. However, the game has a steep learning curve and a very toxic community, especially on public servers. If you don’t have a group, Rust can be lonely or just straight-up brutal.
But if you're into survival, strategy, and pure player driven chaos, Rust delivers like no other.
Rating: 8.5/10
(Just don't get too attached to your base it won't last.)
Not a good game, filled with cheaters and scripters that facepunch refuses to do anything about, the only servers you can play are modded with active admins, anything facepunch related is filled with clans that bag 1-3 cheaters and then once they get banned bag again with no repercussions.
Why did you need to add CC to the game. There is no need for an instant blind in a shooter game. I'm not playing WoW or League of Legends. Get rid of it
The only way to enjoy the game is to not take it seriously, build in low tier areas to avoid cheaters/chads/tryhards, and don't go further than a quad from your base. Apparently everyone is too scared to lose loot so they only play around their home and 90 bags. Save yourself and don't play this sorry hollow shell of a game. 10/10 experience.
Купил игру, потерял всё свободное время, каждый день запускаешь игру и думаешь зарейдили или нет, но всегда рейдят дажу после удаления игры, игра-боль, рекомендую
This game is impossible to get into solo if you aren't a pro with thousands and I mean thousands of hours. The community is extremely toxic also and will find this review fulfilling to them.
Literally tons of skins for various in-game items. Constant updates for quality of life and new features consistently. Challenging gameplay and unique atmosphere unlike any other
not what it use to be. Fuck this game and fuck all the recent updates too.
Don't play this game. You will regret every single moment you spend sitting in that chair, staring at the screen for no real reason.
lost my job, college scholarship, and gf to play this game. 10/10 would recommend
One of the most anger endusing games to ever come out. Unless you want to see everything you work for gone by some unemployed gooners while your offline i strongly do not reccomend this terrible game
Fun if you have 8 friends without jobs all in different time zones. Not worth getting good at solo.
This game can be a fun game to play but ensure that you find a server that suits your need. If you like a relaxed play then join a PVE server like Luffy, but if you want a more survival PVP based play then join a Vanilla server. Please be aware that vanilla servers may have some more colourful language.
After 3000 hours, I can say this game is like a toxic relationship. Giving good review just because, but don't play if you don't want to make your life go to waste
I loaded in to a 1000000x server for the first time and i instantly go atomized by 10 fullkits outside of outpost shooting incediary rockets at my groin procedingly completely burning off all of child making device and now i have to use in game prostetics because i can no longer feel my pelvis + they called me very mean names and even made up new ones such as crotchbuckler and greenbeenlean dumb ah idiot
this game makes me want to vomit all over my friends balls. I highly dislike how competitive it is and how i cant peacefully make a base. Speaking of bases, the base design sucks. you literally live in a triangle
Game is just so full of cheaters it makes playing the game frustrating and extremely annoying. Game has potential to be great and extremely good, sadly the fact that FP cannot figure out how to get rid of cheaters is mindblowing and makes the game experience 2/10
Very fun, however takes a lot of time to learn, but it is amazing when you learn how to play it.
best game ever made i have thrown my entire life away to play rust i used to own my house have a really nice truck and its all gone EVERYTHING EVERYTHING IS GONE MY WIFE LEFT ME I HAVENT SEEN MY KIDS IN MONTHS BUT IDC bc my base isnt raided
✔️ 1,700 hrs on record
Posted just after respawning on the beach. Again.
Rust is the worst game I’ve ever loved.
With over 1,700 hours logged, I can confidently say this game is a masterpiece in psychological warfare. Not against the NPCs (what NPCs?)—against you. Your trust. Your patience. Your sanity.
You’ll build up, get raided. Make allies, get betrayed. Dominate a server one wipe, get door-camped into oblivion the next. It’s brutal. It’s unfair. It’s absolutely glorious.
This isn’t a chill survival game. This is Lord of the Flies with voice chat and AKs. It’s Minecraft if Minecraft had trauma. Every victory feels earned. Every loss stings. Every story is one you’ll never forget.
You’ll uninstall it. You’ll swear it off.
Then… you’ll reinstall it “just to check in.”
And suddenly it’s 3 AM and you’re deep in launch site with 30 HP and full inventory, breathing like you’re actually there.
It’s toxic. It’s genius. It’s Rust.
9/10
Would trust a naked guy with a rock again.
The game is starting to feel like it suffers from the blueprint issue and specifically blueprint bloat. All progress is tied to scrap, and scrap is so hard to achieve when there are clans, cheaters, and general just bad actors. Originally, Rust rewarded players for grinding a bit and reinforcing, now we're forced to engage in combat to make progress or just get raided and lose the hours of progress you spent.
I used to enjoy Rust, and while I had some good times with the current patches, I don't like playing it as much as I enjoyed watching it. Call it a skill issue, but gaming it's my job and I don't want it to FEEL like one.
great game other than being offlined by 40 yr unemployed male failure's to society
GET READY FOR CHEATING AND HACKING!
I have yet to play on an official server that is not full of aimbots and ESP users, I know in 2025 all games are bad, but it has been terrible lately. Admins are non-existent and let repeat offenders back in no big deal. Not sure what anti-cheat software they use, but it is straight up pathetic. If you buy this game and actually want to play without cheaters prepare to use private servers. Unfortunately that's where we're headed next, and the multiplayer environment is one of the best aspects of Rust.... not with cheating though.
I do like playing the game, but with the toxic players it becomes very hard to play at points....
if u wanna loose ur social life and wake up to hearing footsteps and rockets going of hallucinating and being scraed when u go off play this game
I would rather put my d in a blender than grind this game. I would rather watch paint dry than playing this game. i would rather eat a hot dog sand which, and be hot asf outside than play this game. 100% buy this game tho.
Games very fun recommend buying it if your racist and want a game to be attached to
Unless you love smashing your face against the wall while cheaters run you down, don't play this. The updates are really cool, and the DEVs are trying to make this game fun but it's so riddled with cheaters and clans that unless you are unemployed this is unplayable.
The most addicting game I have ever played. Nothing in life compares to the adrenaline and fear I get from rust bag fumbling
Rust is a brutal but addictive survival game. The thrillif raiding, building, and PvP keeps it exciting, but expect betrayals and a steep learning curve. '' Not for faint of heart''
qsuch a fun game, I loved playing this game and played it since alpha! RECOMMENBD!
Rust on PC is a brutal, survival game where players build, raid, and fight to stay alive. With intense PvP, resource management, and constant threats, it’s both rewarding and unforgiving.
10/10 OwO <^-^<
Fun to build and that type of stuff but the amount of hacks make it not any fun for people who dont.
