Now the whole game can be played without an internet connection! Heya!
We made some improvements in our code to make possible to play without an internet connection. But remember that Leaderboards and Achievements will not work.

A pretty good game with a lot of fun to be had, especially if playing with friends.
The main game loop is hunt down the prince, kill him, and temporarily remove taxes...
it's more fun than it sounds.
If that interests you definitely give this a shot.

Welcome to Princeland is an open-world TPS RPG hybrid game, where you are on an island with high taxes and you had enough and decided to kill the prince, however he is hiding somewhere on the island, so you need to look for him.
The game is trying to be casual and fun as possible, so it doesn't take seriously. The whole look of the game just tells that, which works at first. Also, there are lot of weapons, vehicles and even animals who can help you in your quest. The game also has a multiplayer mode. Graphically looks all right, I actually thought it will be much worse, but it surprised me enough. There is an inventory system, where you can collect lot of items and use it or sell it whenever you want. The map is big enough and has some interesting areas.
However, this game story wise is really about nothing. It will focus mostly on the gameplay, which reminded me more of a grindy MMORPG, then anything else. All you do, is to move to an area, where the Prince might had, kill dozens of mutants, zombies, soldiers, robots, which repeat itself again, and again and again, you get into a hatch, kill robots and you see the Prince is not here. The area will be boring long term, doesn't hold any interesting part to explore more. The respawning enemies is helping with the basic speed of the game, but can be really annoying when you get spawned on non-stop. Also, dying doesn't really change anything, meaning it won't have any serious consequences if you get killed.
Enjoying Welcome to Princeland is really up to the player, because if you don't have high standards and you are all right with some basic gameplay, then you are going to be okay with it, but for me, the game was interesting enough to start playing it, but it wasn't enough to keep me on the screen. I can't quite recommend the game like this, maybe with friends, but get it on sale only.

The story is nonexistent. You're on an island, there's a dictator, go find and kill the dictator.
The island is generic, you will run into the same 20 assets copy pasted randomly around the map.
The game loop is go to an area, kill a bunch of generic enemies that either run in a straight line at you or laser you from afar with pinpoint accuracy until you unlock a "hatch", go into the hatch to find the dictator (spoiler alert: the princess is in another castle) ad infinitum until you do eventually find him. Once you do that around 6 times (mind you all the hatches are the exact same layout with the exact same enemies) you will find the dictator faffin around at the end who you can kill easily with little fanfare.
There's about 30 minutes of stuff to do here stretched thinly into a few hours with new vehicle and weapon unlockables to grind for that all generally feel the same. After you complete your first hatch you will have seen 95% of what the game has to offer.
Honestly have no idea how this is "overally positive", would not recommend at $5 or 50 cents.
this is an absolutely braindead distillation of the far cry/just cause franchise down to its purest essence. is this a good game? probably not. does this have multiplayer so you can hoot and holler with your boys shooting crap while you're drunk as hell? absolutely. just wishlist this because this is literally 50 cents any time a steam sale hits it and they will email you whenever it goes on sale. this is not a great game, but if you want a brainless diversion when you are wasted as hell and have your own music to listen to, this is better than idle games.
I want to be 100% clear though: turn off the onscreen blood effects. this game is unplayable if blood is on because any damage turns the screen red.
There's just one definition for this game: Bubblegum for the brain.
Shoot, kill, run, jump and have fun without any proper story or expectations of grandieur.

never change this game, it's perfect. If you must change anything, let me have a jet pack. Other than that, its perfect. Please, please never change.
Bootleg Far Cry, minus most of the features. Still the best $0.49 I've spent this month.
Had fun in Multiplayer, but it would probably be really boring alone.
This is a surprisingly fun game, combining very simple mechanics and progression with an adjustable level of difficulty, to quite a high degree. Given a varied selection of opponents and a plethora of options for fighting them, the player is presented with a particularly arcadesque level of customisation and choice.
I picked this up for a meager 40p, but in retrospect I'd happily have paid full price. All-in-all, a game for a fun afternoon.
I didn't expect it to be this good, for the asking price on sale it sounds like it's gonna be a crappy achievement hunter game or a trading card farm, but instead it's a pretty fun open world sandbox. You do randomized quests for XP and money that lets you rank up and buy better gear. The fact that it has MP mode is just a bonus to those that prefer to explore weird games with friends.
Welcome to Princeland is a game that is so highly repetitive and bland that you'd think it was made by Ubisoft.
To give it credit it was fun for a laugh or two with a friend when first discovering what the game has to offer but once you've done the game at it's core, find and kill the prince in one of the bunkers, then you've pretty much seen it and done it.
The mobs of enemies are very few and can either be an easy pushover kill or they'll wreck you. By the first half hour you'll already have a decent gun enough ammo that they'll pose no problem though.
The main objective is to search six bunkers and hope that your target is in one. These bunkers never change layout, will always contain the same enemies and it will never be different. Even with the target he is dead in a matter of seconds.
Unlocking difficulties doesn't change anything, hardly even noticed enemies being stronger when I went two difficulties up (normal to very hard).
If you wanna play it for a laugh at a cheap price go ahead but don't expect anything amazing.
Impulse bought this for the price of a tootsie roll (50 cents) with expectations next to non-existant. What little i was expecting from the numerous grammatical errors was something akin to asset flip garbage. Instead I got a pretty decent game. It's not gonna set records and i'm afraid we won't be getting a GOTY re-release anytime soon... but this isn't just some piece of shit that you might quickly assume it is. I gave it a shot thinking what the hell but it was good enough to get me to write something instead of doing literally anything else and voice my opinion in a place where it's like a drop of water in an ocean... the internet.
I opened the game and realized I can open my inventory in the menu because why not? Then I got in game and was surprised graphically. I died pretty quickly but stuck through it a second and employed more tag and run tactics and leveled up. Rpg mechanics, another surprise. Then I killed one monster and in it's pocket it was carrying a Sudan 4-door SUV because again, why not? Then I ran over monsters a few minutes achieving many levels then blew up due to explosive zombie claws and flew skyward. This is a cool game.
Ohe also there's a LORE button when you pause if you ever care to read why your character is doing what they're doing. You have to read but hey, at least it's in the game. Which is better then what destiny had.
GAME KUNTUL but it's fun, gameplay is similar like far cry with zombie and some RPG element. sometimes the bugs get hilarous, but it's still fun.
grab this game only if you have friends to play with. 7/10 for the score.
Pure mindless fun, great for co op and dirt-cheap. It's very minimalistic but oddly satisfying at the same time.
Sound mixing could be better, though. Some sound effects like footsteps and some guns are too quiet.
Ragdoll physics are great.
Think of it like the poor man's Just Cause
Bought this game because it looked absurd and fun to play with friends. It's exactly that. Unlock cars, weapons for missions like killing chickens or monsters. It's great because you can just get in with friends and play without hours of setup. I hope it evolve with a little more modes and scoreboards to get a bigger crowd. Just take a look at the big(free?) shooters. Building? Destruction derby? Can go anywhere from here..
Welcome to FUN. I enjoyed this game so much, this review is going to be a bit rambling...lol.
This game is basically a nicely structured open-world FPS with gnarly single-player and/or co-op/multiplayer.
This is a game for gamers.
The open world: it's not GTA or some huge open world. It's basically an island created with the Unity engine. The game is comparable to a "really well-made B-movie". The graphics are actually pretty nice considering it's Unity and it pushes the engine but feels optimized to the point it's smooth, and able to handle all the singleplayer/multiplayer action.
The developers clearly knew what they were doing! What a relief!
It's like a "poor man's" Just Cause. The island seems big at first but you realize as you progress how small it is. And it leaves you begging for more. Still, there's a lot to explore here and it was cool to progress into new areas.
What an incredibly fun and challenging game.
Everything works well. You're basically plopped onto an island with the goal of taking out it's dictator. The island has various ruins and sights to see. Small villages are spread throught and respawning at them is unlocked as to progress/level up.
Your goal is to infiltrate the bunkers owned by the dictator. They're quite small but you must go into them to see if he's in there and kill him. Doing so, causes the stores in the game to lose their 800% tax rate imposed by the dictator, resulting in a huge drop in prices for weapons, pets, vehicles, you name it.
How does one actually play the game?
The game is played in 3rd person. The village you start in is like your hub. If you die in the game, you respawn. There is no 'game over'. Inside each village, is an ATM or vendor where you can buy weapons, armor, pets/companions (basically, NPCs who will fight alongside you), food (to regen health), vehicles (cars, jeeps,bus, there's even a gyrocopter, and speedboat), "gift boxes" (think "loot boxes" but you don't use real money but money earned in the game...isn't that relief!), and various other items. You can also spend money to boost your weapons skills (mostly affects dmg they do).
The village also features a job board with missions you can do.
They vary from "Kill 10 chickens" (I'm serious) to "Destroy 10 drones" and offers money AND other rewards (maybe it will reward 10 vehicles or 5 mercenaries).
Your inventory items "stack". So you can buy 10 of one type of car, and 20 of another.
Ammunition is handled by buying stacks of the weapon.
A rifle, for example, will contains X number or round. If you "buy 10 rifles" you will have "X" number of rounds times 10. So it's different from what most players will be used to and can be confusing at first. Armor and melee weapons work the same way.
When you select an object like a vehicle or mercenary or pet, from your inventory, it will appear in a ghostly "where to place down" mode. You simply move it to wherever you want to place it and press the button to plop it down. Similar to the Fallout 4 settlement method.
It works very well.
From this point, you head toward one of the bunker areas where you need to kill enough creatures to unlock access to it's hatch. The game is very informative and will show you your progress. Once you unlock a hatch itself, you can proceed to try and find the dictator "The Prince". Or...you can do one of the missions. Maybe you take a job to kill 5 goats. Or 10 Mutants. Or just go farm the mobs for XP and money from leveling up. Or go exploring. It's up to the player.
Killing enemies results in XP. The XP goes towards leveling up your character.
You need to level up to unlock better weapons, armor, food, vehicles, etc.
There's a large variety of weapons and they each have different characteristics.
For example, I like the Tommy Gun if I need to do "spray" damage at a fast rate.
For more precision attacks, I might use the Assault Rifle. I liked alot of the weapons varied from each other but not too drastically to be gimmicky. I found myself comfortable with the Hunting Rifle and Tommy Gun. Others may prefer other weapons and invest their skills into them instead.
Similar to MMOs, there are enemies around the island by themselves or in "mobs".
You can wipe them out and they will respawn. This is a good thing because you need to kill them for XP. They also will drop various loot which will save you money when you have to reequip at a store. The game has difficulty settings. The higher the setting, the more challenge but greater rewards.
The enemies vary from zombies, robotic drones, mutants, high tech soldiers, etc.
They all have their own strategies to attack you. Mutant wolves are typically in packs and zerg you. Soldiers stay back and try to blast you. Drones move slow but can do massive damage in a short-range firefight.
Having mercenaries is a nice addition. You can play multiplayer, which is primarily co-op, and each player can have their own mercs with them. I don't like to call them "mercenaries" because some can be zombies or other creatures too. You can spawn a max of 10. I noticed in co-op if each has 10, it seems the AI becomes drastically dumbed down and sometimes unresponsive to hostiles. If playing with friends you shouldn't need them. It's possible to solo the game anyways.
The game is challenging and you might die a lot at first but I recommend being patient with it. It offers a lot of freedom of movement and can be addicting working on unlocking items (including character wardrobe outfits and achievements) and new respawn locations.
I dislike most games on Unity because I think it's a crummy engine that is overrated.
However, the developers really did an outstanding job with it here. The graphics are really nice, the physics are extremely good (on some occasions, they can be a bit glitchy like Goat Simulator but hilarious at the same time), explosions can send enemies (or yourself) flying. The vehicle controls vary based on vehicle, most are sluggish which actually makes for some gut-wrenching comedy moments. Like, you all pack into a giant oversized cadillac-style car to head to your mission goal and the driver starts swerving, only to overcorrect too much and you all go tumbling off a cliff twirling into the ocean. LMAO.
The game is stable, I had NO crashes, neither did anyone I played with. Setting up multiplayer and doing co-op worked very smoothly and well.
(For multiplayer, you can do co-op with PVP or joint-PVE).
There's just so many things they got RIGHT with this game and the way it looks, feels and unfolds. This is a cool game and with many strong points, that the gameplay itself receives attention needed to make it fun is also a relief. Additionally, the gameplay vids and screens ARE exactly how the game is. It looks, plays, and feels great.
The game also has a quirky sense of humor which helps although I found the music a bit too weird for my tastes, although I hear people say they thought it was entertaining.
Utterly fun game. Addicting. I would like to see more content, more areas, more secret or unique areas. Maybe a whole new island. The cool thing is the developers are always working to add improvements and new things, so developer-support IS THERE.
The game is on sale from time to time for lik $5 give or take. Even at $10 it's an absolute steal because of how enjoyable I found it. Again, it's like a well-made "B-movie" but done so well, it takes giant dump on all the AAA-plus titles that can't even deliver great gameplay and features. I'm sick of games that force players into pay-to-win systems or pay-for-singleplayer/features. This game is a total relief. So a huge 11/10, double-thumbs up, all that jazz.
If I was stuck on an island and someone was like, "The only game you will have with you is Welcome to Princeland."
I'd be like, "PERFECT, now you go get a copy and let's go frag the dictator together!"
The developers are geniuses. What a hidden gem.

well the game run fine with my potato PC, fps do drop sometime
but who would complain about that if he only got I3-3220 8GB and 650tioc?
graphics look great even on med setting at 1600res
I ran across few bugs, still just a minor bug like wall glich that let you pass thru underground
and if you are on makeshift heli then you can get to anywhere from below, sound fun huh?
in my opinion the only downside is a few player play at the same time
so it really hard to find someone to play with.
I have no issues with the inability to bind those keys atm, so, maybe?
the most annoying thing in the game seem to be how pets rushed into every enemy every time
and sometime cross my line of fire, block all bullets and die in most cases.
I hope dev add some basic pets commands, like "Hold" "Follow" and "Cease fire" in case I want to lay low.
The cheapest Far Cry money can buy.
I don't have much time in this game as of this review (2.7 Hours), but I have to say that I'm having a very good experience with it. This game sits somewhere on the fence of 'Polished indie game', and 'Unity shovelware'. Does that mean this game is bad, though? Does it feel like a terrible game to play? Maybe it does at first. But as you start to unlock items, explore, and delve into the many additional pieces to this game, it starts to get a bit addictive.
I like to think of this game as a blend between Saints Row, and Far Cry. It has a similar theme of a Far Cry game. You're stranded on an island, the residents are being oppressed by a ruler/dictator. Find him, kill him. At the same time, it shares the absurdity and gameplay of a Saints Row game. Third person shooter, kill a wide variety of enemies and have access to a plethora of ridiculous items and firearms.
So you have to stop the dictator who is taxing the residents like crazy, and seems to be letting loose vile experiments, soldiers, robots and drones. How do you find him? Well, there's no mission structure to it. Across the map are hatch zones. You have to kill enemies within these zones in order to open a hatch located in the center. Once it's open, you need to go inside the bunker, and hunt down the dictator. If he's in there, kill him. If not, move on to the next one. Once you do kill him, he will remain dead for ten minutes, and the tax will drop to zero. This gives you time to escape the bunker, and go to a base to purchase more gear at a lower price. When time is up, a new dictator is appointed, and all the hatches shut for you to search through again. There is also even a mission board system you can use, having you kill X amount of enemies to unlock X reward.
While this might sound a bit boring, it's the journey that's the most fun. You will frequently rank up, and gain access to new weapons, armor, AI pets and vehicles that you can use to aid you in your mission. Ascending ranks also unlocks other things such as clothing items, new bases you can spawn at on your map, as well as new difficulty modes. Since you start out with only the easiest mode first, I recommend playing through it until you kill the dictator your first time, or until about rank 30. Investing money into weapons proficiency will also rank them up, allowing them to gain damage buffs.
I didn't try out the multiplayer component yet, but it says you can play cooperatively with up to 16 people. Crank up the difficulty setting, otherwise you'll just end up steam rolling through everything. I only had my time in the single player experience, but I had a blast running around with a double barrel shotgun, and a small army of mercenaries, taking out entire groups of enemies as we hunted down the dictator for our first time.
So there has to be some complaints, right? Of course, this game is semi polished. The graphics are okay, textures are really good, but lighting could use some work. The UI works for what it is, but it wouldn't hurt to polish it up a bit as well. My second biggest gripe is probably with the audio. The music fits the tone of the game well enough, but I could definitely use some more tunes to listen to. The impact of some gun sounds is also kind of weak. If that could be adjusted some, that would also be a bit nice. Maybe some extra enemy variety as well. Though, my largest complaint has to be the hatches themselves. They're all the same layout, with the same enemies each time. While they're short enough to not be too annoying, it is pretty boring running through the same dungeon style corridor every time I enter a hatch.
Do I recommend this game? For five bucks, absolutely. This game needs more polish, maybe more customization, and some further work on its mechanics. Steam workshop support would also be phenomenal. The developer has totally put some love in it that shows. This game is plenty of fun to just mess around in, and the stream of rewards it gives you for working through it is satisfying. If you like the sillyness of Saints Row, or the tropical open world of Far Cry, then you're probably going to enjoy sinking a few hours into Welcome to Princeland.
The game costs 4 euro and is 100% well worth, a lot of things to unlock and it's pretty fun and relaxing. I like the idea of the game also, just hope they continue to develop this game and add more content, really enjoyable and I don't have any bad things to say about this. Good job devs!
