Amazing campaign. Enjoyed it all the way through.
Great Game . Tons of Action 10/10
Highly recommended as a fluid 3rd person single player game, the blood and guts of the orkish horde you get to spill are great. Weapons and upgrades as you go make you feel invincible, until you miss mash the wrong buttons and are reminded of your mortality. Loving replaying this, i first played on my 360 years ago is as fun as the first time all over again.
Pretty decent, pretty much what you would expect, but the combat really stands out and exceeded my expectations
Good fun, good story, plays great in 1080 on my older PC setup.
For the most part it's pretty good, however you will softlock yourself from completing the game if you don't carry certain weapons (The Shotgun) in fights that throw melee enemies at you. Also you have to get a 3rd party to help you get this game to actually run on a modern machine.
Gears of war-like warfare but in the Grimdark Universe. I absolutely love it, plus the executions and story are top notch. must have
Giga chad Titus. Worth, guaranteed to make you want to crush the enemies of the imperium. And I play xenos
Fun game. Smashing swarms of Orcs is cool and the story is worth playing for even if you find the game play lack luster. To be honest it would be weird if you didn't enjoy the game play. A solid 3rd person combat adventure game.
look a good bit of fun if the game is on special.
Only played the single player missions but was good fun killing orcs after a day works for stress relief.
SPOILERS
It's a decent game, until the final boss. It's just a zerg rush of the most annoying enemies, and the boss itself is a quick time event. Like, seriously? It wasn't even satisfying, on top of the ending being almost as bad as Palpatine coming back.
At least the Orks were entertaining, but as soon as the enemies switch to chaos, it got very boring. I'd say the game is mid at best, and I would only recommend getting on a steep sale.
It's interesting. I only played the story. It's mostly kind of boring, but you do get a few hints to the bigger world happening there. I'm glad to have played this game and hope the 2nd game will be much better.
Fun game if you like 40k. However beware, during my playthough I encountered 2 game breaking bugs. To get past one of them I had to reduce my resolution to the lowest settings and start from the previous checkpoint. I read online this is a common bug that people encounter.
game wont even run. dont bother buying if u want to be messing with it for a while.
edit: figured it out, turn off firewall, uninstall, turn back on, works.
Exactly what I wanted, I rewarding shooter with a good story, simple gameplay, and lots of action. Recommended.
Great game. But it bugs out sometimes and the player balance is not great but still worth it.
Bought it so I could buy and play the second game. Enjoyable game to sink some hours in. Fairly short game and wouldn't purchase unless on sale. I wish that it had more explanation of the lore of Warhammer.
Considering this game is above 10 years old, this game is worth it especially on sale. The combat feels plain but fun. The story is ok, no wow factor. The difficulty spikes are annoying so as not being able to change difficulty. The prolong use of the weapon one because of no other choice hurts my fingers because of the consistent tapping for so long.
Blast orcs and demons with cool guns, and then brutalize them with saws and hammers. Then repeat that process. The story is entertaining as well. This ran buttery smooth on my ROG Ally also. I highly recommend this game! I'm excited to start the sequel now!
Playing this game for the first time in 2024 feels like quite a throwback to the Xbox360 era of packed 6 hour long linear shooter campaigns. I hadn't realized how much I missed it.
Pretty simple shooter and hack & slash game. Took me around 12 hours to complete on normal difficulty. Worth getting on sale.
This game had no reason being this good. I had no idea the lore and universe of 40k and how large it spanned. This was my entry point
Pretty good game.
Its old, so I had trouble booting it up, but once I got it running it played well, the campaign was very nice, had some parts where I didn't like it, but overall I enjoyed this game a lot.
Great game. Single-player campaign is short though (about 6-7 hours).
Game also runs at locked 60 fps from start to finish on the Steam Deck.
Pretty fun game, and a decent story, decided to play through this because I just finished Space Hulk Deathwing, and still hadn't fully scratched the 40k itch, still not fully scratched so guess I'm gonna play Dark Tide or Necromunda Hired Gun next
Fun gameplay and very engaging action-packed story, although the campaign feels a bit short. IMO this aged very well, even the graphics.
Too much fun had in this game. Best value for money probably.
Great co-op mode. Laggy though.
Campaign is a lot of fun.
SO Much better than Deathwing. Pvp is a bit Cancer with some of the Explosions, and Lascannons are annoying but pretty fun. I hope it gets a Sequel. :)
Awesome TPS/Hack n' Slash that truly makes you feel like an unstoppable badass! Gameplay is dopamine boosting and brutally killing enemies to receive health feels very rewarding.
LONG LIVE THE EMPEROR!
This game is amazing in combat, story-telling, and character's. FOR THE EMPEROR!!!!!!!!!!
RRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
Very solid, very well made 3rd person shooter. Plays the same as when I played it on my PS3 with no problems. A recommend if your looking to play as a lead up for Space Marine 2 or as a stand alone. Only complaint is that the shooting gets slightly repetitive after a while. However it is only a minor complaint. Playing this game properly makes you feel like an Ultramarine and playing properly on a higher difficultly makes you truly feel like the Emperor's Avenging Angels.
Great game. Campaign gets better as it progresses.
So fucking good dude. This game is a hidden gem. The combat was fun, the graphics/art style still hold up well after 13 years, the story and lore were easy to follow even with no prior knowledge of Warhammer. Definitely worth playing before you try SM2.
Easy to start/stop for a quick blast and nice story to lightly follow. No heavy thinking, just pick up and shoot
This is a good game, I played it back when it first released on xbox 360. I picked it up again on the PC to have and play until i get a system that can run Space Marine 2
Recommended on sale as single player for a servicable short old-school action fest. Starts off very strong with you slaughtering hordes of orcs but steps on the brakes too often and late game devolves too much into cover-based shooting where you sit and wait for shields to come back.
Being able to execute an enemy to regain health is a great looking mechanic, but the fact that this doesn't restore shields and that you aren't invulnerable while being animation-locked makes it so that you want to do this at the end of the fight, rather than in between to stay topped off.
It´s practically a Gears of War mechanics, but in Warhammer world, cool story and a nice game to play, could have coop story to be a perfect game.
Enjoyed replaying this before playing Space Marine 2 but forgot I didn't like the health system too much. Having to the only way to gain health be stun and a kill or entering fury mode kinda leaves you stuck here and there with not enough health. But other than that a fun game and a definite pick up for Warhammer fans.
Old game but the main character assets still look above avg & its fun. Story is simple but good. For the price you can find it, its worth playing IMO
Short but fun campaign. Anniversary edition graphics look nice.
9/10
Well... I'm officially a Warhammer 40k fan! I remember thinking right before I played this game: "I have no clue what this universe is, but this looks like some good fun!" Now, I'm watching YouTube videos about the Eldar and Old Ones. Needless to say, I think this game has been an awesome intro point for a new fan to this universe. It never asks you to do hours and hours of research, but the immersion into this world is so top class that I needed to know more about the different legions of Space Marines. The combat is so smooth, you can instantly go from hacking orcs with an axe to shooting them apart with a bolter that sounds so beefy. As for the story: It is on the more basic side, but the characters (especially Titus) elevate it beyond cliche Sci-Fi. My only real complaint is that it isn't long enough! However, that's not a bad complaint considering I vastly enjoyed my 7 hours with this game and I look forward to learning more about this universe.
I got this game to play on Steam Deck. It was a great experience. The game runs flawlessly on my Steam Deck OLED. I got about 3.5 hours per charge playing with max settings at 90fps. Of course you could stretch that out more by lowering the frame rates and etc. You know how this works if youve got a deck. No issues with performance, controls or anything like that.
The game itself is fun but short. I finished it in about 6 hours and for that reason I recommend getting it on sale.
A whole bunch of manly white men running and gunning through linear levels, calling orks all sorts of racial slurs and exterminating them with extreme prejudice.
They really don’t make games like they used to, do they?
A great 3rd person shooter, from the golden age of gaming. You truly feel like an unstoppable killing machine... Well atleast most of the time. I donnu if I am just kinda braindead, but some sections of the game felt pretty unfair with the enemy placing and your forms of cover, wich means some of my deaths felt frustrating.
Fun game a bit clunky at time but not a bad game overall
I played this after Space Marine 2 and getting into Warhammer lore. It is an older game, the graphics doesn't hold up well, but the lore, attention to detail, voice acting and game play are so good! Definitely don't regret checking it out and recommend it in 2024!
Very much like gears of war in Warhammer settings. Simple run and gun, but its fun.
F that
You play half the game then you get a bug that keeps on making the game crash as you launch it
You uninstall reinstall the game and you save file was reset and now your controller does't work anymore
Wtf is this broken product
Cool game, my introduction to 40k. Cool story, the game itself is alright needs more gun variety. kinda like god of war if you had a gun.
The game is from 2011 and I've never seen anything so terrible!
The one positive thing about this game is the story, the rest is really shit....
In terms of gameplay, I would compare the game to Vietnamese cassette games.
Demanding a €35.99 game from 2011 with such appalling gameplay is a shameless rip-off of Warhammer players and fans.Even though the game is on sale at a discount, the price is still high for how bad the game is.
