Warman – это чистокровная hack-and-slash игра, где главное внимание уделено не лору и истории, а поистине лучшему в RPG: Боям, статам и луту. Здесь нет ни моральных дилемм, ни раскрытия древних тайн, угрожающих реальности, ни принцесс, которых нужно спасать.
Вместо этого здесь много экшена, бесконечные возможности для развития персонажа благодаря свободной системе классов и случайной генерации предметов, и, конечно же, монстры, которых нужно исследовать, и подземелья, которые нужно победить!
Нет дилемм – нет проблем! – Вы сражаетесь не потому, что вас призвали на войну. Здесь нет нации, которую нужно защитить, или котят, которых нужно спасти. Вы сражаетесь, потому что хотите сражаться.
Приключения в одиночку или в группе – Приключения в группе до восьми игроков одновременно. Вояками могут быть вояки (или воякини).
Свободная система классов – лучник, воин, разбойник, маг огня, маг ветра. Каждый класс обладает уникальными навыками и деревом пассивных способностей. Хотите поменять его? Переходите от сжигания монстров к их разрубанию, просто поменяв оружие.
Бесконечный лут – каждый предмет может выпадать с модификаторами, позволяя вам развивать своего персонажа. Всегда есть место для дальнейшего роста. Не нравится предмет? Посетите кузнеца и перекуйте его!
Побоище ради веселья и релакса – Хотите стать сильнее? Вас можно одолеть, если вы достаточно умны. Бесконечность – не предел, когда речь идёт о сложении модификаторов и достижении умопомрачительных уровней силы.
Путешествуйте по миру, проходите подземелья – 17 взаимосвязанных карт в трех биомах ждут вас. Каждая предлагает уникальные испытания, монстров и смесь созданных вручную и процедурно подземелий для амбициозных искателей приключений!
Смерть – это лишь пощечина. – В жизни так бывает. Возьмите себя в руки, смахните кровь и возвращайтесь в бой, потому что вы не потеряете снаряжение, если кому-то удастся размазать вас по стенам подземелья.

I purchased Warman since its EA time, back then it goes floor by floor, you jump into dungeon, get loots, push limit a bit by bit, then carry junks back to town. But in this full release edition, everything changed, I am stupefied.
- Now the game wants to be like Diablo, you start in town, walk out to fields, beat enemies, teleport back to town anytime. Sounds like ordinary Diablo experience right? No, the weirdness starts from here.
- The choice of choosing wasp as starting enemy in the first zone is very weird, (compare to Diablo which it uses zombies, or other conventional RPG use slimes) wasp shoots needle at you while your feet are locked in place on attacking, when you hit it it never get stun locked and will retreat away, result in tag game before you finally beat one. The nightmare is realized right when you step out to the first map, there will be 5 wasps VS you. and it got worse (up to 10 vs you) in later map. Not to mention the wasp spawner that will outpace your killing speed.
- The strategy is you need to find the OP/broken skill that you can beat the system. fighting with them head to head will only result in your agony. I can sort of see where the game is driving to, for example wind mage, at the beginning they are very suck, their left click attack hits only 1 target, trading with wasp's needle is almost lose-lose, the key to win in an unexpected way is to aggro all wasps in the map, group them up, walk to the middle of the group then spam skill No.3, later the skill will have 3 charges to spam, item to increase projectile penetration or projectile count. You get the idea, left click and kite will get you nowhere.
- Not to mention their LV scales with you (even Diablo did not do that), why put anti-grinding mechanism into the game that requires you to grind? It does not make any sense. And they all respawn every time you get back into the map, so most of the time you can just run past them to your objective.
- I managed to win a boss of prison, the shadow archer, while I'm only LV.8 by harassing him around the pillars, spam wind mage totem skill, you cant fight him directly head to head bc he kill you in 2-3 hit. At least game have mercy that if you died boss will not heal back to full.
So in summary, Warman starts with weird progression, weird enemy choice, and most of time you need to be cunning player, outsmart the game by finding OP/broken way to win, you cannot play it straightforward you will only lose. I dont know why dev decision turned out like this. So for the review, the game turned out to be different game than when I bought it in EA, and with this all weird progression, I regrettably have to thumb down.
Fun little game. Enjoyable but not very deep. It could use more variety in monsters, drops & scenery but worth it's price even if it left me wanting it to be more.
Got bored after doing prison map only, ( there is no other maps early on)
Man lets you out of cell, you explore the prison and then find a wand. you kill a few enemies, make it out of the prison, and get teleported to an island with vendors and a guy who apparently opens portals, but since you have no bones, you can't pay him to open a portal to the next zone. Basically, 7 minutes of play for $15... don't really think that is worth it.
Very challenging and fun roguelike.
My most favorite part is the item attribute system, which lets you try many different styles and be able to always find items with better attributes fitting your style.
Really inspiring to see how one developer can make such a well polished game!

Have to say this game is amazing with friends and considering its Early Access status, its more than worth its price ! I will say it is a little rough to get into immediately as the barrage of stats is something you have to come to learn, but within a good half an hour you'll be hooked tuning your character to your play style !
Definitely a 10/10 for me !

Not quite cooked yet in its current form.
No buying items. No actual character customization(you don't choose stats or unique playstyle, except minimally and interchangeably on weapons).
As it stands, you level up and pick what type of stick you whack with.
Only buy this game in its current state if you are willing to help the dev with massive design choices.
Such as "what are the secondary gameplay motivations?"
The artstyle and gamefeel are promising, but it isn't a game yet. Give it a minute to get there first.
*Edit: I haven't played this game for literal years and it is likely unfair to leave this particular sort of negative review up considering that expanse of time.
However, please check other reviews and discussion posts to more accurately assess whether or not this game is for you. I have not played it in its current form.
Great fun to play though i havent played much. The updates are nice as well as response from the dev. Simple yet developing idea which will hopefully continue to grow in the future.

Amazing little Game
The Wand is too powerful than other weapon.
There any boss in tower? Im in 15F ,but i think there will be a boss in 10F until i get there.
Never heard of this game but when I saw it on the early access section I thought it looked cool. Me and my friend bought it and we think it is awesome, we have only gotten to level 6 but I am loving the game so far. I sat down and really looked at my gear and raised my projectile count to 6 and I am destroying creeps. Looking forward to finding more ways to make myself OP and kill some more creeps!
Not bad at all. Leveling and gear make this more fun for me than the typical rogue-lite genre. You do lose some experience when you die, but keep your gear. I like the blacksmith for changing a stat and improving gear. Helps a lot.
Gameplay is great. Love the abilities based on weapon, the run and shoot controls, and the skill based combat. I wish there were boss fights and a tad more variety.
The twin stick RPG (as I'm gonna call it) is getting closer to perfection. What would be great is to have an open world to explore with quests, but dungeons to enter from the world. Then it could feel like a complete progression. This game is nice though, since you feel a solid accomplishment by completing a floor.
Tip: Go back to town after each floor. Easier to sort through gear, equip better items, sell what you don't need. Inventory space is limited.

this game is pretty fun. the general fun and appeal is there. unlike other dungeon crawlers you don't loose your stuff when you die.
there are some minor bugs but nothing to crazy nothing that is game breaking. the game can feel a bit clunky at the start but 10 mins in and i loved the control scheme. the only thing this game is lacking is more content. the amount of different ways you can build your character is amazing. i built mine to only do health regen. though you dont die, you stand there and do about one damage. which makes it fun if you team up with a friend, where they build into a damage. it reminded me of tanks and DPS in other games. where i stand in the line of fire and my buddy does all the damage. i wish there was more variation of enemy types and actual bosses. not just rooms with hordes of enemies. the general strategy as far as i have played feels the same. run around and kill everything that moves.
the only thing i think the game really suffers from is that it was just released and there is only one developer who is doing everything. this is not a bad thing. just that there isn't a lot of things to do.
despite its minor flaws i think this could be a really awesome game. and i think its worth the money i spent on it. you can tell that a lot of time and love went into this game. i cant wait to see what it turns into.

Good little dungeon crawl.
Its like a stew of Heroes of hammerwatch (controls, random layout) Diablo (random loot) and Victor vran (special attacks by weapon)
The only thing I might add is controller support, but it's good with KB & Mouse.
I can't wait to see how things turn out after early access
