slow in a bad way. i like slow games, i loved naissance, i loved death stranding, i loved layers of fear... etc etc. but this just didnt hit.
Fascinating experience, but it is an experience.
not good.
just play NassainceE or BABBDI instead of this. the game was really short and most of it was in a cutscene. I like this as some form of art rather than a game and I think thats what it is. Not worth 6 bucks though.
Some of the most inspiring setpieces I've seen in a video game! If only they were part of a more fleshed-out adventure...
Short and interesting its more of an art piece running on vibes and really interesting set pieces.
I see where the comparisons to Naiessence come from, it feels like that mashed into the Kid A Mnesia Exhibition.
I look forward to seeing the creators other work whether it is short and experimental like this or something more long form.
Got cut off whenever I wanted to look at something cool. No agency. Dev should have just made it a video instead of a videogame.
So I didn't find any damn "walking simulator" here's what I got instead..
10 minutes of 'okay' looking illusions and visuals, then a bridge, after the bridge, my screen goes all black, and I see a tiny white line at the bottom, looks like it might be the bridge. Water sounds and wooshing but I CAN'T DO ANYTHING. It just sits at that damn screen for what feels like forever. I let it fuckin run for like 15 minutes and NOTHING. Either my game is broken, or some shit, all these crazy cityscapes and shit, I can't experience cause I'm not sure if the damn game is broken or this guy gets off on wasting people's time...
Go play NaissancE it's FAR better of an experience than whatever this shit is.
Enjoy alongside 3-4 dry grams
pretty good definitely worth the 71 cents i bought it for im gonna be thinking ab the imagery for a while
How do you judge something but through experience and in this the experience is what your mind projects onto it often.
Scenes that remind you vageuly of fragments of childhood memories, or make you feel like you are lost in some abstract dream or other dimension, maybe heaven or at times hell or an alien city abandoned by its makers.
I liked it
Tl;dr: has potential but ends up being frustrating.

This game is short, and little of it is playable -- a lot is artistic cut-scenes. So far so good, not everyone will like that, but I do like looking at pretty combinations of pixels on my screen while an atmospheric wooshie sound plays on my headphones.
However, in this case, I think videogame was the wrong choice of medium. Even if you describe the game on it's store page as a "walking sim", your players will expect some level of control over what they do on the game. By frequently fading to black and jumping to the next scene, you remove from the players the only decision they have on a walking sim: where to go and when. I swear, the moments I was most enjoying the game, it always faded to black. If the developers wanted to display art and sound in a sequential manner, for a fixed amount of time, that is completely valid, and they should have made a movie.
Another bad part that removed player choice was the weird amount of invisible walls. It's a highly abstract game, just let your players fall down from high places! It's not gonna break immersion, at least not as much as the walls themselves. Wanna give players a huge open space but don't want them to wander off? Don't give them a huge open space. Sorry, you can't have both.
Anyway, I do have to say that the architecture and visual effects of the game are really cool, beautiful and interesting (I wish I could spend more time looking at them before they faded to black). I didn't feel like they came together to form any sort of narrative, idea, world or cohesive thing, but there is potential. I hope the devs give us something else. Maybe a movie. If they decide to make another game along the same line as this, I would be ok with it being even shorter, as long as they corrected the gameplay issues I mentioned.
A sequence of scenes. In some scenes you will walk around a little; in others just watch and listen. The mood is somewhat dark.
It feels like it had potential but it's ultimately too confused. There are too many transitions and some rooms/levels feel like "hey check this cool light or geometry effect". It is inspiring as the description says but I'm not too sure about the exploring.
