EARLY DEVELOPMENT (ALPHA)
We still have a long road ahead and more exciting content planned! Subscribe to our Socials, visit our website, or join our Discord community for more info and updates about the development of the project.
WHAT IS SCP?
SCP originates from the SCP wiki, a community-run collaborative writing project that has been running since 2008. the acronym SCP refers to Special Containment Procedures - and the wiki chronicles the tales and containment procedures of the so-called SCP Foundation.
About the Game
The SCP Foundation has gone dark. Disturbing intel from one of the many Foundation sites, Area-12, an underground biological research and containment facility in West Virginia, has been forwarded to an anomalous branch of the FBI, the Unusual Incidents Unit (UIU).
Upon arrival the UIU are ambushed and trapped within Area-12 by a facility wide lock-down, leaving you alone and without backup. For reasons yet unclear, Area-12 has adopted a new agenda: creating weaponized hybrids of anomalous creatures. Now the UIU must get to the bottom of “why” and stop them before these monstrosities are unleashed on innocent civilians.
Anomalies are reality-defying objects, artifacts and creatures that inhabit the cracks in our world. These anomalies are what the SCP Foundation was supposed to contain; and their anomalous nature makes them dangerous to the likes of you.
SCP-173-B // The Sculpture

SCP-1262 // Seed of Destruction
SCP-3199 // Humans Refuted

Really really bad netcode, UI not updated according to how many rounds/mags you have. Sometimes it prevents you from shooting. Overall if you intent to play this with your friends, prepare to have issues. Will not recommend till its fixed/full release
DEFINITELY a work in progress game. The tediousness of the back and forward in some missions DRASTICALLY pulls you out of the action, which is sad, but the horror elements and gunplay are really good
you can really tell this game is in alpha. i fell through the map twice during a campaign playthrough minutes apart from each other.
second campaign hit so good especially with the audio logs give so much background love this game cant wait to see what this game does in the future
one of the best out of many SCP games i have played in a while, i have been following this game for a hot minute and has great gun customization and so far a great story, there isnt much content but its good to go thru it again and again as i keep finding different things every single time. I Recommend this with friends as well. This game has its bugs and flaws but they get fixed pretty fast. great team i hope this project does not get abandoned.
This game is awesome the only problems I find while playing are some glitches. Also the aiming mechanics are kinda off. The enemies also hit really hard considering they horde sometimes now this isn't an issue but only if you play with other players I don't know anyone with this game so i tried it solo and its possible its just REALLY hard. The game itself and the thought and looks are EPIC though.
I would recommend this game every time, its 9/10, for me personally id like to see the Wave mode expanded on a little as its a good pass time and a fun way to get new people in and comfortable . Worth the bucks every time.
Pretty awesome, early development. When its done itl be a masterpiece. Great horde shooter, great shooting mechanics, great design
i like it
i know it's in alpha testing but the lack of content is a little dissapointing, but again this doesn't matter since i know it'll improve.
playing with randoms is pretty mundane and boring, however playing with friends can be very enjoyable.
i think endless mode needs some more love and upgradability/progression
guns feel like cod mw 2019 and i love it
The amount of content is good you guys. Please focus on fixing all the bugs first... then add content. biggest gripes are horrible menus that don't work or bug out, and DX12 doesn't even work properly. Fix this and you'd have a top tier game.
cool game but the screen anomaly scp sucks ass.... horrible game design and absolutely annoying
I've been holding off on buying this for a while, and watched it for a bit longer after the arctic update. Finally got it, and I'm impressed. Still very early access, but what is currently available is worth the price in my opinion. Game feels nice to play, kind of reminds of Ready or Not in a way.
Runs smooth on DX11, some issues with DX12 still. maps rotate now which makes the game replayable
Fantastic potential. Solid 8/10 gunplay and 10/10 story and visual environment design. Could be a little bit annoying getting lost, but with larger groups of players that's not really a problem. Puzzles are a nice level of difficulty. Only crashed once in Antarctica, fell through the world twice at area 12. Would recommend if you have a friend to play with, or just want more scp in your life. Can't wait for the full release!
I bought this game without knowing much about it, but being an SCP fan and a tactitcal shooter enthusiast it seemed right up my alley, and boy am i glad i did. But as a disclaimer, this game is best enjoyed with friends.
First off the positive :
The gun play is incredible, the weapons feel powerful, the noise works well, it just feels very good to use them and there's quite a lot of variety in the weapons.
The use of the SCP universe is fun, we see some of the usual like 173 but also a few lesser known SCPs and their implementation is quite fun even, i especially like the hordes of 610s which are quite fun to fight against and 7528
The missions and storytelling is very intresting
I really appreciate the game making us play as factions outside of the foundation, usually in SCP games we're always part of the foundation one way or another, or at most part of the (imo very boring) chaos insurgency. Here we get to play as member of the UIU or GOC. Both of which are represented quite well, i especially like how the UN's GOC is portrayed, and the fact they use magic weapons like in Assesment is a nice touch
Now for the bad :
The game is still pretty buggy, as should be expected of a game in early acess, but still expect to go through the floor, have objectives bug out and missions not start properly, this is especially true for ghosts of the south gate, the most recent mission
There isn't much content yet, the game curently has 4 very good missions, a wave survival mode and a pvp mode, while all of them are fun you can easily beat all the story mission in a bit over 5 hours if you don't get lost, once again, this is expected of an early acess title
Getting lost is also a problem, while most of the level design is pretty good at showing what you should be doing and where you should be going it can be sometimes confusing, especially in more open levels like Hollow men
Overall i've been having a lot of fun with the game and highly recommend it. Can't wait for more missions.
Done with all the PvE content after 7 hours. Played Duo through the whole game. If you call yourself an scp fan then try it out. I absolutely loved it, and I want to see what this game can accomplish in the future.
It's obviously an Alpha, the desinc and performance issues are certainly noticeable. I fell through the map a couple times, and died to a few not fully mechanically functional features. The AI needs work and some of the missions got more love than the others.
The environment is phenomenal, I enjoyed the pacing, and I think the puzzles are decent, if a little not-obvious.
There has been a fairly new trend of early access games actually getting a full release, and surviving development hell. Ready or Not being a good example. I honestly see the potential for this game to do the same, and I wish these very obviously passionate developers the best of luck.

Experienced some bugs (ALPHA TESTING). Gun play is excellent. Too scary to play alone, you need a friend.
Amazing game!!! Looking forward to how the game progresses and how the project develops into.
Great story line, developers care about the gun play and feel of the game, every time I check the game out after taking a break there's even fresh content.
yall want to shoot shit and have a good story mixed with horror without complicated features because your to fucking stupid for puzzles? get this game. Best game ive played in a while. Me and my boy enjoy the fuck out of this and is a blessing for our sweaty gamer hands. Good job DEVS. Keep building the game
Bugs here and there but still fun and very playable. I recommend adding a working facility to roam around in for fun, scp's included. I could see people hosting facility servers and whatnot. Great work devs.
The voice acting for Markus' tape in ghosts of the south gate was absolutely phenomenal. I've not heard a single other video game voice actor produce such RAW and unfiltered emotion. That one audio log in and of itself sold it for me on this one. Im geniunely hoping that when the full game is officially released, that they keep up with the voice acting just like that.
Fun tactical shooter game to play with friends, but is really lacking in playable content in its current state.
If you are considering buying this game, i suggest you wait until a sale or a new update with new maps.
I love the game hope to see even more scps in this world you guys are building but i would like to just ask the devs if you can put a way for people like me to solo play this cause i dont have any friends and the garage and the flesh who hates were just killing me not like i want easy mode maybe like more hp or faster reload doesnt matter to me but otherwise loved the game
The game is still clearly very early in development, but the bones are there and the levels we've seen since October 2024 gives me confidence that we're going to see great stuff in the future!
As at right now, there is roughly 7 hours of content in the game - not unreasonable. Of this, the first and second chapters of the Area-12 Raid are excellent, whilst the new Ghosts of NSIS-14 level is good, and the rest is okay. This is mostly due to how each level uses it's SCP's, which chapter 1 does excellently by blending them with "zombie" and human enemies effectively. The guns feel good and movement is solid.
There's a huge amount of work to still be done on this game, but the devlogs and the recent content gives me confidence that it'll be done and it's going to be excellent.
Excellent tactical shooter, and probably the best SCP game out right now.
Hard to believe the game is in alpha, great graphics, good performance, exceptional quality in most aspects, and a great amount of story and content available. Totally worth it imo and a must-have for fans of SCP, horror, and tactical shooters. Playable as solo and duo, though solo might be a bit tricky (maybe)
Also a surprising amount of replayability, lots of fun to be had in multiplayer PvP, wave defense, campaign replays, and other gamemodes. Not to mention the amount of content on the way as it's an early access game.
Love it! Great atmosphere, runs well enough on my potato of a PC, and pretty accurate to how the SCPs would reasonably behave! MTF are oddly inconsistent with their accuracy, but that's fine.
Honestly didn't even mean to find the game, but one of the most fun games me and my buddies have played in a while. There are tons of bugs especially with the map's meshing, like falling through the world or jumping over something and ending up above the world. At the end of the "Ghosts of the South Gate" mission we all crashed at different times, and we all had problems with seeing some enemies at least 1 or 2 times, buuuuut despite all that it is still one of the best games I have personally played. The horror element with the SCP touch we all know and love mixed with amazing gun play and from such a different perspective than other SCP games I've played. To sum this review up: A flawed game bug wise, gameplay wise, a masterpiece.
if you love SCP like i do this game is for you and we die in the dark so humanity can live in the light or we cleanse the dark so humanity can sleep at night if you understand what i said you are a true SCP fan
There is massive potential with the uniqueness of enemies and challenging difficulty.
Regardless, if I have to blindly run around looking for random and illogical pieces to a puzzle that should have never existed in the first place for a singular second more, I will explode. Do not buy this game. Even cheating is too difficult to comprehend as googling where things were still did not answer many of my questions. I beat chapter 1 - the rest can smd.
This game plays super smoothly but it needs work. I have no idea where my objective is and the maps are mazes. Make the UI better and iron out some bugs and I'll be back.
Absolutely get this game if you're an SCP fan. Some find it unethical that it's an SCP game worth $20 due to copyright laws and SCP falling under public domain, and this did skirt past that with redesigning the visuals of the game to look more different but obviously inspired by SCP. That is certainly going to put people off, but SCP: 5K is legitimately one of the most terrifying games I've ever played.
It drops you in the currently 4 levels that immerse you almost immediately. I was peaking around corners pleading for normal gunman enemies because the monsters are actually that scary, and Peanut or 173 in particular is really smart sometimes, almost completely unpredictable (at least for me), and I swear he is faster here than in other SCP games. I haven't even beaten a level yet because they are THAT LONG and I'm always wanting more each room I complete.
There isn't only good stuff though, as with all games, but I'll definitely give it some slack because I've that much fun in only 4 hours, and the future looks super promising.
- First of all, there's been some visual glitches lately like reload animations in the ready up screen. I'm still looking through settings to make sure nothing on my end is wrong, but at default settings, it looked really bad.
- On top of that, the controls don't always feel responsive. There have been times where I tried to fire my gun and it just didn't for some reason. I'm gonna try later to see if I can recreate it.
- You can vault over some stuff, but it's not always clear what you are supposed to vault over. It's also a little janky in some windows and doesn't always respond but if you move an inch to one side, suddenly it works.
- The way forward isn't entirely clear in Piercing the Veil during some sections. There was one part during the Plumbing area that I found myself looking up a walkthrough after searching every room again for 30 minutes. That was pretty annoying.
- The guards do not have enough varying dying sound effects so you'll hear the same or very similar voice lines each time. It does get annoying.
All in all, for only $20 and 35 GB of storage - something larger corporations could learn a thing or two from - I can't in good conscience call this a bad game. It is so much fun and it scared, unnerved, and made me shout in terror sometimes during my first few hours. I wasn't expecting a lot, but Ready or Not meets Half Life in the SCP world is genuinely such a fun concept and a game that I will definitely be anxiously waiting for more content.
I advise not getting the Deluxe edition unless you really REALLY like this game. Try it out first and then decide. I'm gonna wait until further news but if the DLC is as good as the base game is, I'm probably buying it next.
8/10 this game fuques
The game is visually stunning, but there are a few negative traits in this game.
1: There's no real introduction.
2: You need to play with others for it to be playable (because the difficulty is too high if you play solo)
3: Animation glitches (they appear often)
4: Performance peaks and dips (especially when semi-firing guns)
5: Frequent crashes
All of this aside and I think it's a very fun game, though in my personal opinion the storytelling could be a bit more prominent in some missions.
Even though this is in early access, I've had a lot of fun online and by myself in singleplayer. I hope they can really capture the thrilling and eerie gameplay experience as the first SCP game to come out, although this is a more singleplayer FPS experience, I have enjoyed the new updates that further the content and current lore in the game.
i just feel like the mark was missed in what SCPs were chosen and then you lose a lot of that cool thriller aspect doing it. there's just so much potential here that's not being used. it's diappointing.
For fans of SCP's this game is great. For normies I'd say its still great. Gun-play feels good, playing through the campaign is fun especially with friends but even with randoms online or alone. Objectives on some of the maps can be confusing or hard to find if you're playing for the first time but I personally prefer a bit more a challenge and less hand holding like most triple games. It helps with the immersion. Finally this game nails the tacticool vibes and weapon customization is as good as any triple a game. Can't wait to see more missions added to this game, it definitely leaves me wanting more in such a positive way.
Just want to add that these are the kind of game developers I wish would get triple A level funding and help but without a big studio interfering with their vision for the game. Let them cook but give them more resources and help.
I only played it a bit up to now but it looks great! Also, I think maybe a good addition to the game would be like a variation of the horde mode where you're defending Ganzir directly like in the original SCP 5000 article, I just imagine it'd be epic and pretty chaotic too xD
Anyways keep up the good work lads!
weird monsters, beautiful atmosphere, immersive, guns and blood. just what every men need.
An absolutely amazing tactical horror shooter that properly coveys what is like to fight anomalies in the SCP universe.
You will experience bugs & crashes as to be expected as it is in alpha. However I have played this since it was first relaced and can whole heartedly commend Affray for the work they have done and their committed effort to refine and improve their work over time.
So much fun.....with a caveat.
I wish I was able to play the game more. But unfortunately, there is rarely more than about 20 people playing at a given time. So either you play alone (which is nowhere near as fun!) or you just try a different time of the day/try a different day all together.
When people are online, you will deal with constant crashes. Recently, I am only able to stay in a game for about 15 - 30 minutes before the game crashes. Some servers are impossible to join. For example, all the Survival specific servers get stuck in an infinite load screen. I am also in the US (east coast) and there are only 4 different servers with sub 100 ping. 1 server I cannot join because it is whitelisted? 1 server I cannot join because of infinite load screen. 1 server I cannot join because the version doesn't match? And the last one is PVP. But even the PVP server is empty. Not that I would personally care to play PVP anyway.
All this said, when you get to join a full game (whether it is survival or a campaign mission) the game is SOOO much fun. It still needs a little more TLC. But it is a great time with a full team or just some friends.
3 years and this game is still early access? Its weird to me but I guess I don't know anything about game development so I cant say much. The game play on the other hand is amazing. Fast paced. Pretty scary but I feel more action and less horror like SCP is known for. Even with that though it is still an AMAZING game. 10/10 would buy again and do recommend.
gunplay and atmosphere is awesome. Gets better with each addition of more content.
If u love First Person Horror, and love gunplay AND scp!
Get this game, even in its current state its super polished
Really fun when you're in a group and everyone really gets into it, but occasionally glitchy in wave survival.
game has been super fun i enjoy it and the guns work really well n stuff
THIS GAME IS GREAT AND GETS BETTER WITH UPDATES, also why do you smell like beans?
Unfinished story and confusing singleplayer progression makes me wish I never spent my hard earned money on this game. Not only that but it has that Unity Engine JANK that so many low-budget games have (think Drug Dealer simulator or something).
I think it's really not worth your money as you'll have to watch youtube videos to find out how to progress through the game, which spoils all the fun and spookiness the game has.
SAVE YOUR MONEY!! Don't waste your time with this crap.
Dont use DX12, use DX11 to have a much more stable game experience
