“A solid co-op heist game, but can feel repetitive.”
Payday 2 is a blast with friends. The heists are fun, the teamwork aspect is great, and there’s a lot of customization for your character and loadout. The game has tons of content, with various missions and challenges that keep things interesting.
However, after a while, it can feel repetitive, especially when you’re doing the same heists over and over. The AI teammates can also be a bit annoying at times.
8/10 – Great fun with friends, but can get repetitive solo.
The only game I can play as a sociopath wearing a chicken mask that’s wielding a comically large golden spoon tanking 50 rounds per minute by police officers and scream at them with a French tape recorder…. So in all perfection
This game has so much more sauce than Payday 3 and is miles better. The DLC situation needs to be cleaned up, but otherwise a great package.
I pay to play the game and hop on to see that 60% of the content is locked behind paid DLCs.
At the time of writing this there are 77 DLCs. Why? If I want to play with my friends I have to shell out more money for other DLCs.
Payday 2 is the ultimate crime spree simulator where you and three friends put on creepy clown masks and somehow fail spectacularly at being professional criminals. You’ll plan a simple bank heist only for Dave to trip the alarm, Tim to “accidentally” light a hostage on fire, and the entire SWAT team to roll up faster than pizza delivery. Between chaotic shootouts, questionable plans, and the unrelenting pressure of escape, Payday 2 feels like the perfect mix of tension, hilarity, and "wait, who packed C4?"
Verdict: Perfect for friends who embrace glorious failure.

Very fun game, loads of DLC's to improve your guns, content and multiplayer
Is this a good and balanced game? No, is it at least cheap to 100%? Nope, but it is fun with great music at least, right? Absolutely, 500+ hours I can't recommend for other completionists but for a more relaxed player go nuts, bug someone for DLC maps in multiplayer, just do stupid stuff. As an aside, play without bots on higher difficulties, just trust me on this.
i played this game with a bad dragon inside of me the actual game is okay nothing special
this game is good, heists are replayable a couple times and most heists are interesting enough to not keep you on your phone. ive played for hours maybe 100+ on console and coming back for pc because of the updates and honestly its a good improvement compared to console, it gets even better with QOL mods. ONLY DOWNSIDE, most stuff that was available for free on console was locked behind DLCs on pc, this is the only issue with the game for me but you can just all of them for free with a mod, if anyone didnt wanna pay a greedy company.
PAYDAY 2 ís the most fun heist I ever played, The Crime Boss Rockay City game was almost like PAYDAY, But the PAYDAY game was my favourite game.
fun mass genocide game, and stealth is also fun overall 10/10 for me
playing pd3 has made me realise just how awkward some of the control settings are in pd2, that being said i think that would be one of only two issues i have with this game - it offers an incredibly compelling heisting experience and the huge range of available missions allows for a bunch of different playstyles and mechanics to be explored - the vr mode only adds to this too, creating more ways to mess around in the game, even if the control scheme is a little unnatural
my only other issue really is that some of the missions seem to instant-fail you if you make one wrong move, it feels overly punishing at times for no good reason without any real opportunities to recover, you just get a timer and told to rush to the finish line
anyway great game one of my favs in the multiplayer realm for sure, much fun to be had in here

incredible game you can sink hundreds of hours into even if payday 3 is released (if you have this game from beforehand and havent done 30+ heists you've got a lot of content to do and a game to invest in)

-A soundtrack are amazing
-An incredible replayability
-A substantial lifespan (25 levels of "prestige" the infamies)
-A large part of customizations (one of the fps on which I've seen the most weapons and ways to modify them)
The negative points:
- The graphics are pretty "meh"
- Several bugs
- Hackers too present
- Lots of DLC
Payday 2 is truly excels even has been released long ago but still absolutely enjoyable. It’s a fun, intense game with a lot of content to discover. It's hard to get started at the first time, but it's fun to play once you have enough experiences.
Excellent soundtrack, thrilling and various missions, good FPS, cooperation (with friends) and pretty good DLC (even if they cost a bit).
Have you always dreamed of robbing a bank? Doing meth like Heinsenberg? Stealing paintings? Or even smashing everything in a shopping mall? If so, this game is for you.

8.5/10Tons of content, encourages many different playstyles, though the grind is kind of annoying until you hit infamy (ie prestige) 1 lvl 100. Ideally there would be more stealth heists, but it's quite good for the sheer amount of content there is.
This game is extremely fun in 2024, and if theres a sale on Legacy Collection, defenetly grab it
This game really brings thrilling gameplay and the Action/Stealth is nonstop enjoyment with maps and modes to keep things fresh.Its best game to recommended to all.

Only have like 6 hours in this, honestly, not for me. Came back to try after not playing for a while and couldnt get the hang of it. Couldnt before either. Try to scope the first career mode mission and next thing theres cops everywhere and cant even find the getaway car after being told its moved 3 times. Def a git gud situation but yeah not for me. This game is a case of looks fun to watch but not to play for me. Recommend for others.

One of the first games on steam i really played. After a long break it was good to back! Just robbing banks, or do some weird stuff, Just do whatever you like, maybe farm some achievements, which are in plenty! And try to get good to get some skill based ones lol
Lost but not forgotten, even after all these year it still has its issues but at least its still in better shape than PD3 and more enjoyable.

I loved everything about this game. There are so many weapons to try out and tons of cosmetics I can unlock. These factors can make me replay the game go for many hours in my opinion. Also I must say that the many of the soundtracks in the game are amazing

As of the new updates this game went into the garbage , they made the ai so fucking stupid you have to finagle the hostages so much until you get them to where you want , not to mention the updates to the loud part of the game , you literally get swarmed with enemies at random , not to mention it became so that you can't fucking learn it as a beginner or intermediate , I would only recommend to get this game on sale.

i will make this one brief. on this account specifically, i've only accumulated 27 hours. on another, beyond 800. this is the last, and only good game of the PAYDAY franchise. The Heist was an incredibly fun starter, as 2 was a solid follow-up. however, that is where we draw the line. for what it is, regardless of the immense amount of DLCs under this game's belt, i can not deny that it is fun for its time.
now, i am not really sure as i have only played Solo to grind out achievements on this account specifically. i still enjoyed my time though, tweaking builds and going guns blazing on heists or approaching things on a calmer stance. and that's all there is to it. a fun time killer when you feel like robbing a convenience store, a bank, an art gallery, or whatnot with a variety of options to do it. a bunch of cosmetics, characters, weapons, masks, and other tiny little filler-features that either hooks you or at least rewards you for the time you've invested into it.
i would recommend this game now, but only on a sale.
the DLCs? well, it's up to you really. as for me personally, owning most of it on another account, and only owning the vanilla game on this account, there is not much discrepancy for me with my experience. i still enjoyed PAYDAY 2 for what it is purely and simply. maybe you would too.
Amazing game. Great mechanics, great guns, great characters along with sick missions. Love raiding the DOJ with a minigun.
Really fun game with TONS of heists nad with lots of fun, its also a bang for a buck , so much heists for 2 bucks.
While PAYDAY 2 offers a fun co-op experience at its core, the game's reliance on DLC is a major turn-off. The base game feels incomplete and lacking in content, leaving players feeling like they're constantly missing out on something.
Great game. Lively action. Fun co-op. A nightmare for achievement hunters.
It's way better than the third game. Modding scene is interesting but the game is full of purists who will judge you based on your UI mod.
Stealth takes longer than loud in most instances.

Although you kinda need to get the Legacy Collection to fully enjoy it, but i don't recommend the one on here (as that one is missing Scarface) get it on Humble Bundle, that one is actually complete (and comes with Scarface included).

Im in love ok this game is so stupid its funny you can be a guy in a doge mask with full body amour with a minigun with a comicaly large spoon without any mods i just love it a 10/10 game defintly buy it the best horde shooter ever

200+ hours of playtime over a year and only 26% of achievements unlocked, I can't recommend this game enough for those looking for a horde-like co-op shooter that can be both strategic and brain dead fun at the same time. Yes, there are flaws here and there and DLC is a near requirement for the experience but it is WORTH IT. This is definitely a game that should be played with friends, though solo or with randoms is also completely viable.
it runs great on pc and it has really great gameplay. One of my personal favorites.
