Remorse: The List is a classic survival horror game where the player must figure out what is happening in the little hungarian town of Hidegpuszta, and your only clue is a list that doesn't make much sense. Exploring every nook and cranny of this place will be the key to unveiling its secrets and get out of there alive.
Explore a large and expansive world filled with unimaginable horrors as you defend yourself with scarce options available. Manage your resources carefully with the limited size of your inventory and take advantage of every thing at your disposal to survive.

Game is a bit clunky at times with some bugs and flaws in some parts of the game but if you like cry of fear then you will like this game for the most part.

I didn’t really enjoy Remorse: The List, but I’m still recommending it because there’s some stuff here that others might like.
This game feels like it’s trying to be a mix of different things. It’s got heavy Cry of Fear vibes, but I also see bits of Total Chaos (the Doom mod) and even Silent Hill 2. That sounds great on paper, but it doesn’t really stick the landing with any of them.
The story? Honestly, it’s kind of a mess. Even after playing the DLC, I still couldn’t really figure it out. I got the neutral ending (spoilers ahead), and it seemed like the main character couldn’t handle raising his kid after losing his wife. But then the DLC throws in that the dad was shot by the cops and the kid ended up in an orphanage? It felt all over the place, and I just didn’t care by the end.
Now for the gameplay. My biggest issues were the enemies and the jumpscares. You’re locked into Normal difficulty for your first run, which is fine, but combat feels rough. Enemy hitboxes are super janky, and they’re fast, hit hard, and make some of the most scariest, ear grating noises I’ve ever heard in a game. It’s a horror game, and the sounds need to instil fear, but I couldn't handle some of the noises like the angle grinder guy or the noise the flying enemy with the knives made.
Running away isn’t always an option either, since the game often forces you into fights—and ammo is limited. On top of that, the jumpscares are just cheap. They got me a few times, but it felt more irritating than scary. There were moments where I almost quit because of them.
Another thing: the pacing with enemy introductions is weird. The game throws every enemy type at you by the end of the first section. For a short game, I get why, but it made the rest of the experience feel repetitive. At least the teleporting enemy, which is hands-down the worst, doesn’t show up too often.
Overall, Remorse: The List just didn’t click with me. There’s nothing here that makes me want to play it again. That said, I think some people might dig it for the combat, atmosphere, puzzles, or even the story (if you can make sense of it). It’s got something, just not for me.
I think this is a janky and unploshed game that's worth playing.
Guns feel horrible, there's a bunch of running up and down, and the enemies are sometime more laughable than scary. There are a few jumpscares too which just feels cheap.
Despite all this, this short game has great atmosphere, pretty fun story and a few interesting ideas.
If you have a few free hours that you can spend on playing something imperfect, I would recommend this game for you. If you are here for a flawless experience or a fun shooter, turn away.
Thought the game was good when i jumped in it was pretty empty the world is too open and empty its easy to know what to do but it kind of feels forced its not like u want to go there but u need too u dont go there to escape but to do another monotone task. thats it THX :)
pretty neat horror game
Yes, I highly recommend this game for fans of both the long standing Cry of Fear as well as survival horror video game enthusiasts and longtimers in general, like myself. It tells a story similar to that of CoF but about a different character in a different part of Europe. Again, highly recommend for the survival horror fan.
