Limouzik is based on classical harmony and the relationship between chords of the same key (used in the famous 4 chords songs). Depending on the selected chord, the algorithm continuously recalculates the pitch of the notes of the other keys in order to always play correctly.
The philosophy behind Limouzik is to make music creation accessible to as many people as possible. Without solfeggio or training, Limouzik allows to reproduce, as with a piano or a guitar, classical, folk, popular and variety.
By grouping on the same key a complete chord of three notes, constantly recalculated by the algorithm, the user becomes almost instantly an instrumentalist able to play music as varied as Beethoven or the Beatles...

Although it's kinda fun, there are times where the keys all go crazy. Needs more work.
Dear developers and publishers!
Your product has a great potential, and it may solve my own problem, but you need to improve some existing features.
Pros are underlined, cons are in italic bold.
1. I can speak English, French, Spanish and Russian, and sometimes I enjoy changing the language within the game. Therefore, the ability to change the language in the settings is very good. However, when I tried to change it in Limouzik, I discovered that only the French version fits the content. For example, Instruments in French is Tracks Manager in English, and I understood that the content meant you could assign different instruments to the keyboard only because I have a synthesizer and I am curious enough to click everywhere. Configurations Générales in French is Musical Options in English, while should be General Settings. In Russian, part of the menu is displayed as squares instead of cyrillic letters, so you should probably check your fonts and coding. Maybe you have got some bad reviews below, because people who could not speak French just could not find and understand these settings due to poor translation.
2. When you open the game, you go straight to the simple game instead of the main menu. It takes time to figure out that you should hit the gears button and to notice the unnoticeable home button to go to the Premium version where you can actually play what you want and change the instrument settings. Please, make the first screen the general game menu, and highlight the home button.
3. The melody of Zarathoustra did not show the second key to hit, so I could not proceed. Probably it is just a bug.
4. About my problem. I have a synthesizer, but I cannot take it with me to long business trips. The opportunity to make my own PC that I take anyway a synthesizer is great. However, the recording goes with time lag and the feeling like the sound is limping, and I could not find an option to save the recorded file in any readable format. Please, improve the quality of recording, and add formats to save (at least midi or even wav; mp3 would be great).
5. If you write down the names of the chords and the piano keys that you hit, Limouzik will be a great educational tool. However, as it is written in the description, "depending on the selected chord, the algorithm continuously recalculates the pitch of the notes of the other keys in order to always play correctly". It may be good for someone who knows what he/she wants, but when you compose your own piece through trial and error, it impedes the process. I could not find the setting to switch this algorithm off, and if it does not exist, please add it.
6. I could not find the "Virtual synthesizer compatible" feature. Please add explanation how to do that.
I will continue to explore and, hopefully, to enjoy this app. I encourage the developers to keep on making the app more understandable and expanding what this app can do. All in all, thumbs up.
Unless the dev is really planning on putting a lot more into this there's essentially nothing there:
* There's no explanation what soever - just follow along the keys that supposedly correspond with piano keys
* No theory, no guided lessons, nothing.
* No tempo
* No free play
* No compose or record
* No support for a piano keyboard
* No even an exit button or proper menu
This is like pre-alpha at the moment.
untill they add a free mode then i could recommend it not good for $20.00
I've been wanting to learn about chords for a long time. This program is very simple, and I certainly wouldn't use it for music production, but it seems like a great education tool.
