Not sure what others are upset about, this game is a 10/10. Endless fun with the homies - we play a match at least once a week. Always a new experience with community maps (I have over 100 subscribed maps). I def recommend. No DLC purchases necessary.
The go-to for a middle-of-the-road experience.
Middle of the road is essential for your collection. Sometimes you want to play a game while half checked-out. It’s a competent experience that you can get bored of in a single session. But you return to it time after time. After owning it for years you’re still refining your technique.
I’ve played against my girlfriend like a zillion times. At first I would handily win nearly every game, being a longtime gamer whereas she is new to it all. Now it’s a dead even match like it should be, with the games being mostly decided by unforced errors. But if we have the super jump option on I take bigger risks and can sometimes pull off some krazy stunts.
The graphics are nice. I had a new appreciation for how good they are after playing on someone’s Xbox, where this game didn’t look so great. Everything about the visuals imparts an overwhelming sense of fun. Slightly cheesy. But it’s good to let yourself just drink it in and accept that.
The physics, courses, powerups, customization, game options, and controls are all just above average. But since every one of those categories are, it makes for an overall experience that really makes the grade. I could put up a wishlist for changes in each of those categories, but none has a dealbreaker either. It passes muster.
I want more from it. The dlc so far is all justified in my opinion. It doesn’t feel held back or spoon-fed. But it’s now reached its limit where the next game should be released. The price per course of adding dlc will soon make it a bad deal as a single game. And the new game should have new stuff! I want to see gameplay get deeper, but if simplicity was a key part of this one’s success, I understand if they’ll stick with that.
COMPLAINT : I spent a very long time without my computer connecting to the internet. It seems that some things are dependent on that. The play time is very wrong. We have played MUCH more than 69 hours. But that’s not the problem. The problem is that we never get rewards for playing. They show up extremely rarely and when they do it’s 90% of the time something we already have. Sabertooth skull and red trail over and over and over. So despite playing a crazy amount of time we have barely anything unlocked. It’s not SO bad but being awarded the same item for the millionth time is a little maddening. Team17 please send me an unlock everything code thank you!
Get it you will never regret it. I tried a bunch of other golf games and this is the only one that gets repeat play.

Love this game its so fun to play with the homies! 10/10 IGN recommend!! Steam workshop makes for great fun! Solid game definitely worth the money if your trying to have some fun with the boys!
Although sometimes it ticks me off, some golf co-op fun with the friends never hurts. The integration of the community workshop is awesome and ensures that there is a steady stream of content being pumped into the game.

I would recommend it *on sale*. I think there are just better alternatives. Also the DLC is needlessly expensive. Also why are they making a second one.
Great course with great condition fairways and greens. The downsides are bathrooms are only available at #4 & #13, which is a long way in between. There are no snack bars and it doesn’t loop back to the clubhouse at #9.
Golf with friends used to be a great time with friends. Now, since the last patch, you just golf to get reset no matter what. Clearly the devs are trying to nerf the original game to sell the sequel coming out, how gross. Even a business man knows better than to mess with the code of your flawless product. Now my friends and I play other games, wouldn't recommend.

Really lovely game to play with friends, especially with customizable options on (use the jump, bump up the free cam time and make sure you enable the meter to show your last power choice). The DLCs are apparently awful and overpriced, the one that I tried was super glitchy and not worth the amount. I'd wait for this game (and any DLCs) to be on sale, but it is really fun with friends!
I've played this game a lot, and have had a lot of fun. It is easy to play, so it is a game you can play with friends who don't have any video gaming experience.

This game makes me want to never play this game ever again. My friends make me so angry when they hit my ball off the map. I will never mentally recover from this game. It causes so much distress. I cant stop playing though. I would recommend you never play this game. My life has been ruined from Golf. I will never attempt to try golf irl even though that was my dream as a kid. Dreams ruined.
Funny golf game
In all seriousness, this game brightened my mood when I was really ill and it continues to be a source of joy for me.
The only entertainment value in this game comes from laughing with your friends about how bad this is. I cannot recommend this game in good conscious because it's literally the worst game I've ever played.

This game is called Golf With Friends. While this game is fun, It's even more fun watching my friends scream and yell at each other, Meanwhile I'm always in last place laughing at there rage. 10/10 would recommend.
This game is really fun, and it is just GolfIt with multiplayer. BUT this is a good thing because it is soooo much fun to see you're friends completely miss the hole after being right in front of it. The courses are amazingly done and it is very clear that a lot of work went into this. The fact that its on console too, no one would expect this game to be on console, and here it is.
Very fun game, give me a little Wii Sports vibe but it's quite a bit different. Game is definitely recommended against boredom etc, I should add if you don't want to spend money there is a free version on Discord to play (Putt Party) only it is not as fun as Golf With Your Friends. I made some hours in the game over a reasonable period of time.
Disconnects randomly when hosting or playing online, not to mention the physics are awful. Only play if you want to do it in a group where you have to restart the game constantly to get through all 18 holes.
It's fun. Golf with your buds. No one ever gets mad. just don't miss the hole HAHAHAHAH.

If you see this game go on sale and you have the money, I very much recommend gifting this to a group of friends you often play games with, It's an awesome time!
Something I'm not a fan of though is how pricey the DLC can be, even when the DLC went on sale I still had to pay over $16 for some extra maps, which is REQUIRED for 100%'ing this game if you wanna go for that.
Otherwise, great game for hanging out! Would recommend when it goes on sale.
Golf with Friends: where the golf is questionable, but the friends and laughs are top-notch. Sure, I may have run out of time on the same hole again (how does anyone get the angles right?!) but the chaotic fun of yelling 'JUST TAP IT!" while everyone else misses too makes it totally worth it. 10/10 would rage at windmills again.
Honestly great game but the problem i have is that someone can just search up a guide and beat everyone who is trying. + the dlc´s are too expensive.
this game has no physics and makes no logic. I put the power at 3bars and the ball goes too fast, I put the ball at 2.9bars and it goes very slow . I put it from half a metre very slow to hit the hole and I still fly it through , don't buy this game....

I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys mini-golf. The controls and the game-play are uncomplicated, and instinctive. This simplicity does not extend to the visual appearance of the game, which is vivid and sharp. All courses and holes are rich and fully developed and no cartoon stick men will appear here. If you enjoy the humor and ingenuity of video mini-golf games, this is the one to pick.
There is no game that you can play with someone you care so much about and want fight them after.

sometimes has some strange physics. don't know if is: auto level or poor pooling assets. maybe both. even so you can have fun with it.

I love this game, it makes me so happy. I don't think anyone should buy or play this but I love it.
Fun game to play with friends, but I wouldn't say it's worth it at full price. I got it on sale though.
It is a golf game with some interesting maps and mechanics. The space station map for example had black holes you could use on certain holes to launch yourself via orbiting to another part of the course.
There are powerups you can enable too to let you troll your friends or help yourself, such as being able to freeze yourself in place right before you go off an edge or force your friends to transform their ball into some shape like a cube for one shot - if done at a bad time this can mess them up a lot. This allows for some good fun if you are all good sports about it.
Overall, much more fun than trying to do garbage maps of mini-golf in something like tabletop simulator. It's very satisfying to pull off a really great play, and sometimes lucky plays too can be great fun. You can customize the rules of how you play pretty extensively too in terms of how many shots you can take, time limits, collision with other players, etc.
The music and sound and graphics and stuff are serviceable, not great.
The physics are a little wonky but I enjoy the challenge of this game. It's super fun for online game nights with my friends and figuring out all the possible trick shots
Nothing like bringing competitive golf to your friend group. The added modes are even more fun when you have a bunch of people going for trick shots.
The game is called Golf with Friends, but my friends refuse to play it. Mind you, these are the same people complaining about the lack of games in our rotation, especially party games. This would be a fun game the 10 of us could play before we hop off. I only say 10 because there are only 10 people I could think of who would actually buy the game. There are a lot of amazing games my friends refuse to play, and I’m not entirely sure why. I don't want to rant since it's their prerogative, but usually, when it comes to this, I opt to play solo with randoms. Unfortunately, the game servers refused to match me up, no matter which region I selected.
So yeah, I'm definitely refunding :(

With friends this game is really fun and it gets really competitive I have played a lot with my friend and lost most and basically just insulted his entire bloodline over it.
A decent game to have in your party game night rotation. Hop on Discord, open the cam, have a brew with your buds, and have some good laughs... or spill blood.
