I'm using Liftoff with a new Radiomaster Pocket, and I've learned that FPV controllers are nothing like the non-FPV controllers that I've been using on my DJI drones. I haven't even made it out of the free flight yet, but I'm guessing by spring I'll be good enough to start flying outside.
Excellent flight characteristics, and sames me from crashing my real drones when I want to practice something new.
I love this game! If you want to learn how to fly a drone, this is the sim to have. I love that it includes battery management and damage mechanics. A lot of other games don't have damage or battery management.

Good simulator to fly quad and understanding aerodynamics of craft and if you want to become a FPV pilot this game should be the your first spending in that journey
After destroying my FPV on the fly, I decided to search for advice on Internet, many people recommended this simulator. Therefore, I bought the game and played for 2-3 hours. Now I somehow can hold an altitude on my FPV in acro model. Hopefully, by the time, I finish the repair, I can fly better.

Yes. Graphics are what they are. But, I cannot say enough about what I am learning and how much fun I am having in the process. Definitely suggest for anyone looking to try FPV.
Best game i have ever played, more than just a game, improves your skills for real life. Nothing beats it, Liftoff is like a second life. Cant recommend it enough
Almost 30 hours in I'm finally starting to feel somewhat comfortable on mid-tier races. Great game, good physics. I have a 7 inch at home and it does feel remarkably similar.
I don't know which of the last updates was it but the new marker/path system is so good. I haven't played for 2-3 months and today I beat some of my previous records just due to new pathway vizualisation. THANK YOU
As a related note, it would be nice if you could add 'real life' interference like constant wind, rain, fog and signal strength issues. Flying outdoors and long distances isn't the same as a closed warehouse, yet it's exactly the same in game.

Love the liftoff product. I was sure there was issues with the game, but learned it was me.
After 55 hours I can say the game is working very well and I have developed the muscle memory to control my flight. Now I need to be able to fly without the god mode turned on. Two thumbs up.

A great sim for flying drones....Dont be like me and have about 3k dollars of drones stuck in trees on my mountain in colorado.... Learn to fly here....When I first started we didnt have these sims..
this is a really good flight simulator, i just got the cetus pro but i didnt want to crash it so i have been playing alot of this. this is a really good game for its price.
this is great to practice stick time and get better at flying FPV and its fun.
if you like drones this is a must have for learning and bad weather! Great community with tons of support. Graphics are nice and easy and the physics are as close to real life as any SIM I have played (Including trypFPV).

Picked this game as the simulator I wanted to use to fly drones. I feel pretty comfortable with an RC remote after flying Acro mode for 12 hours. I'll probably continue to put in hours until I'm not crashing in the game before I take the skills to real drone flying. But the physics feel accurate and I feel like I'm picking up the flying skills I need to become a beginner on a drone.
The courses are gorgeous and the soundtrack has no right being this friggin' good! There are tons of Workshop tracks and drones to download too for when you get adventurous enough.
This isn't a 'Game', it's more of a training simulator. You 'Will" need a real radio (RC Controller) to fly. Trying to use a game controller will make you pull your hair out and quit using the SIM. Now, if you are willing to get something like a Radiomaster Boxer Crush, you'll be ready for flying against other people, or flying a real FPV. If you can fly a Line of Site drone (DJI) and thats it, You can't fly an FPV until you practice on something like this. This SIM is super realistic. two thumbs up, 10/10 etc.
Great way to start your FPV journey. Easy to pick up even if you haven't flown before. A good variety of maps, a ton of drones, with lots more available to download. The physics are very nice as well, not as rigid and fake-feeling as some other simulators.

awful tutorial .dont enter calibration mode,theres no back button ,you need to restart the game to continue.while in the game theres no menu button(yep,you need to restart to continue),default senitivity is too high(atleast on DS5 and on Steam Deck.fix these stuff!cmon those have existed in the game minimum 2years
Great sim to learn how to fly FPV. Physics seem the most lifelike compared to others available.
When I first launched Liftoff, I was ready to dominate the skies. I imagined myself swooping through forests, zipping through gates like a pro... but mostly, I spent my time trying to figure out why gravity hates me. The tutorial told me to "take it easy"—great advice, except I was upside down in a bush the whole time.
The game gives you a perfect simulation of what it's like to spend hundreds of dollars on a drone only to crash it 3 seconds into flight. It’s not all bad, though. After several hours, I finally nailed a split-S... and then immediately celebrated by smashing into a wall. Liftoff does that to you. It makes you feel like a champion for a split second, then promptly reminds you that you have no business flying anything more complex than a paper airplane.
If you want to practice crashing without the financial ruin of real drones, this game’s for you. Just don’t expect to leave without developing a fear of trees.
I got this game to live out my drone racing dreams. Now, I'm still as far from my dreams as I was before, but also I'm afraid of trees. 10/10 would crash into the same wall 30 times again.
Relatively realistic flight behavior. There are some good maps, but many are quite small and designed for racing rather than freestyle and cruising/long range. It would be nice if the community could create their own maps and share them with everyone. The performance of the engine is not particularly good for the graphics on offer.

Its a great way to get into fpv drones and especially if you want to fly tight tracks with short corners and have absolute control over your drone. but if you wanna go more into the chill fpv drone part i would recommend liftoff: micro drones

I am using this sim to practice manual mode on my DJI Avata 2. It has proved to be very useful and probably saved me a many real life crashes!
Absolutly the best simulator out there. If your new to FPV like I was this is for you. Trust me. It will be the best $20 you can spend.

If you want to learn to fly full manual FPV, this is a great starting point. Much cheaper than repeatedly wrecking your quad :)
A good start to learn FPV and i absolutely recommend to play this before you fly your drone. manage to learn few tricks then do it with real drone. always come back to learn and practice few tricks. absolutely love it ♥♥♥♥

Absolutely required as "sim training" before flying a real-life FPV drone for the first time. I trained for about ten hours, and that gave me the skills to fly a DJI FPV, which you can fly in the game, and with the actual DJI controller plugged in to your PC.
Great for learning how to fly FPV. I went from a complete newb to having a good level of confidence in 60 hrs. I'm still playing the game now and feel like I'm improving and learning something new every time I fire it up. I play this on a Macbook Air (M2 2022) and it looks and performs very well. I use a DJI remote controller 3 (as I'm looking to buy a DJI Avata 2), I've reduced the spring from the throttle stick and it works perfectly. I highly recommend Liftoff if you are considering learning to fly FPV.
It's really good for learning how to fly if you're getting into FPV. It's also a really great racing game
good gdraphics and raelistic game play but it does feel a bit floaty
super difficult but step by step as you understand the principles and mechanics you will start to improve. But yeah, 3 hours in simulator is nothing and real progress will be around 30+ if no 50+. Trainings you will need to repeat 3-5 again and again especially the super basic height and corners. Basics first.
i found a drone already in the game that near matches the drone i fly in real life within the first 20 mins of me opening the simulator, and the physics engine is realistic enough to feel comfortable flying in the real world after about 15 hours of in simulator practice. I have had a few crashed but have not actually broken the drone. *fingers crossed*. The multiplayer mode has connected me with tons of great pilots that spur me to become faster in the races and precise through the labyrinthian mazes the community workshop offers.

The game is just boring. The maps that come with the game are ass. i dont know if its because the game is more racing aimed. i do like the amount f customisation availabe tho
The physics is very close to the real drone flying. This is a good simulator for practice before trying DJI Manual Mode in the field.
