Perfect if you are too broke to buy an actual drone!
If you want to learn to fly full manual FPV, this is a great starting point. Much cheaper than repeatedly wrecking your quad :)
Great for learning how to fly FPV. I went from a complete newb to having a good level of confidence in 60 hrs. I'm still playing the game now and feel like I'm improving and learning something new every time I fire it up. I play this on a Macbook Air (M2 2022) and it looks and performs very well. I use a DJI remote controller 3 (as I'm looking to buy a DJI Avata 2), I've reduced the spring from the throttle stick and it works perfectly. I highly recommend Liftoff if you are considering learning to fly FPV.
It's really good for learning how to fly if you're getting into FPV. It's also a really great racing game
good gdraphics and raelistic game play but it does feel a bit floaty
super difficult but step by step as you understand the principles and mechanics you will start to improve. But yeah, 3 hours in simulator is nothing and real progress will be around 30+ if no 50+. Trainings you will need to repeat 3-5 again and again especially the super basic height and corners. Basics first.
i found a drone already in the game that near matches the drone i fly in real life within the first 20 mins of me opening the simulator, and the physics engine is realistic enough to feel comfortable flying in the real world after about 15 hours of in simulator practice. I have had a few crashed but have not actually broken the drone. *fingers crossed*. The multiplayer mode has connected me with tons of great pilots that spur me to become faster in the races and precise through the labyrinthian mazes the community workshop offers.

The game is just boring. The maps that come with the game are ass. i dont know if its because the game is more racing aimed. i do like the amount f customisation availabe tho
The physics is very close to the real drone flying. This is a good simulator for practice before trying DJI Manual Mode in the field.
The de facto community rich fpv game/sim. Got my start here, and really credit this game and more importantly its community of AMAZING people with my entire career in this most amazing sport/hobby/lifestyle! Thank you LuGuS and Ploop and GMan and N8MX and MasterMekon and the god builder themself DerHonk! Do yourself a favor, get a transmitter with some reasonable gimbals, and fly some DerHonk maps; that's a bucket list item for sure and the craziest thing is he built dozens of show stopping masterworks.

I am able to practice with a simulated drone that is close if not the same feel as my actual drone by using the steam workshop. very useful
First 10min - either this game or my controller is broken... After 30min - ohhh... I'm just really bad at this. After 3h - I CAN MAKE A TURN!!!
I have never played a game where I would get stuck on a tutorial for over an hour. Don't have any experience with other FPV Drone simulators, but this game looks awesome.
This is nice training game. Especially if your goal is to be a real pilot&
As a new pilot, this is a fantastic simulator. It runs very well with low settings on my 2020 Mac Air, which is all I need.
I did have to buy a real RC controller, because it didn't have the settings to make a PS5 controller work like some other sims... but that was probably the better move in the long run. I bought a Radiomaster Pocket ELRS which should last me a while until I need something with more features.

I'm just starting out on learning how to fly an fpv drone and from complete beginner to being able to somewhat race on an fpv drone is pretty awesome. It took me a little while to get the mechanics down but now it seems like I am improving little by little. This has helped me immensely for my mechanics and confidence in flying a drone when I decide to do it IRL.
100% recommended. Good physics. OK graphics. Variety of drones and very good tracks.
Good simulator, i feel the gravity might be a bit off tho... but the maps are pretty garbage tbh, maybe 1-2 decent maps, most of them are incredibly small, and you cant download new maps, only modified versions of the maps thats already in the game

This is a very smooth running sim, not hiccups or glitches, very nice graphics, great selection of drones and good control of them. I use this and Liftoff Micro Drones and I am very happy with both. My controller is an InterLinkDX RC plane simulator controller I bought from Horizon Hobby to use with their RC software and there have been no issues with compatibility. Big thanks to the Liftoll development team, and to the community for supporting the team. I am not yet a drone pilot IRL but I am very confident that my work in this sim will translate well and drastically reduce the challenge of being a noob where real life drone flight is concerned. I look forward to my first step into real world drones solely because of this sim. Thank you, Liftoff team!!
UNPLAYABLE. no settings in game to fix the issue of over sensitivity. information all over the place online and even on the support page. Don't bother. Glad I got it on special and even then I want to refund it.

Flight rules are great! The course layouts are pretty good, but may take exploring before you can properly race them as course directions vary dramatically and is easier once the layout known. The boundary rules are sometimes wonky, if you bounce off of a wall, or miss a gate and have to get back into the air, but the same is true for reality. Overall a great game, and very immersive!
played a few sims and this one seems like the dynamics are the most life like for a trainer. wish I could skip all the notations and pauses during the training levels but it is what it is. still would recomend this to anyone wanting to learn how to fly FPV
This is a helpful simulator for anyone interested in flying FPV freestyle or racing quads. Physics is accurate enough that the transition to live flights is very easy especially after a while using goggles in the sim.
Edit: after doing the tutorial for the achievement, its shit one of the worst i played like you are controlling the person talks and resets your sticks then puts you back so that you drone flies away, you correct it and there is talking again and the drone flies away again and then you have to watch it again and then load the next lev, then talking again, then watching again, then talking again , then fly for a sec then talking then the drone flies away again since all your inputs are reset, reset, fly a second, talking, you drone flies aways since you inputs are reset, etc i gave up on the tutorial i couldnt pay any attention without getting more angry at this shit and it soured the game for me cant recommend the tutorial, just dont

Absolutely a gem of a sim! I can't get enough. Even though I've spent hundreds of hours on other sims, this one is the absolute best, hands down.
I have DRL and Liftoff. Both are excellent. I don't know which one I prefer.
I am a little disappointed with the DLCs of Liftoff.

Fun simulator that works on Linux!
dji controller 3 doesn’t work well with this game.
I learned to fly in Liftoff by following Joshua Bardwell's youtube video series, and I was able to fly my drone on the first try! The physics feel great, and I like that I can adjust my controller rates the same way that I can in Betaflight. I'm glad I can practice without risking breaking my toys, and it's nice to be able to "fly" when it's raining or dark outside.
Graphics are good enough, and everything looks crisp and clean in 4k. The UI is great. It rips along at 144fps (vsync locked) with my 4090.
It was easy to set up my Radiomaster Pocket to work in-game. If you need a cheap controller to use with Liftoff and later with your own drone, I'd recommend the Pocket because it's inexpensive and decent quality. I started on an xbox controller, which was terrible.
IDK what else to say. Buy it and learn to fly and have fun.
I got this as an alternative to the included flight simulator on the DJI FPV. Works great on M1 mac.
if its like the real thing because im about to buy a race drone and see i will give an answer once i buy and see how realistic it is because its a simulator game i need to compare but game is good and real challenging at times
I have this and FPV.SkyDive I like the tutorial mode in SkyDive but the race options in this are great
I'm an old-timer/slow-learner but have been able to use Liftoff to develop the skills to fly FPV professionally.
its really pitty that its not able to pair with DJI remote 2 and integra FPV.
FPV doesn't get detected at all, tried all and gave up. does any one help me in this? its DJI Integra FPV.
The remote doesnt get configured completely, the manual model help a bit but still channel is not been calibrated with it.
Hope Faceoff makes it better with newer devices
Runs smoothly on my Macbook Pro M3! With DJI Remote Controller 3. Absolutely in love with this simulator.
I've had only two simulators actually work well. Lift off and the free DJI FPV Sim. I find myself always using liftoff though I first learned to fly on the DJI FPV sim. At first liftoff seemed intimidating, and the DJI sim was like having an iphone for a sim. Easy to navigate and fly. Very beginner friendly, and paired perfectly with my dji fpv remote. But once I got to flying I went to liftoff due to the various quads, levels, and flight experience and I must say it is much better than the DJi App, but I say that now.. at first the Acro/Horizon/Level modes seems foreign when you're use to Normal/Sport/Manual modes when flyin... and the betaflight and various options in liftoff seem a bit much at first, but it was how i learned how to change my own pids/rates in betaflight once I start building and configuring my own quads. I see why Liftoff is the standard. Would be nice to try another good sim but everything else I've tried just doesn't work well with the dji fpv remote. Any suggestions?
