Perfect for practicing when the weather doesn't allow it or you simply don't want to crash while trying new tricks.
Not the best visuals, but imo it feels way more real than any other sim I've tried so far.
Great simulator! Let's you build a digital version of your quad, well, for the most part so that you can get some great practice and break it in game instead of in the real world! Best physics I have seen yet!
I have only been using this simulator for a few weeks but I believe it is the best tool available for anyone starting off in the world of FPV. I have recently purchase the 2 newest DJI FPV 'Whoop" style drones, the Avata 2 and the Neo. I am exited to start flying but I'm also ensuring that I have the necessary confidence to operate them prior to taking off.
For the price Liftoff is money well spent!!
Closest thing to flying. So much fun after you get used to acro mode.
The game is fun and I feel that it translates quite well to the real world. It's not perfect, but... what is?
Be careful with the confidence you gain in this sim. Replacing parts is a lot more expensive than pressing 'R'
Just gotta get use to it. Pretty easy to understand. Put in that work. I feel like the avata 2 will be easier
Ive been playing Liftoff for 17 hours and I finally feel like Im getting the hang of FPV. I havent tried out my drone yet, but I feel a lot more comfortable. Cant wait to do the real thing. Cool game!
Great simulator, if you are just starting your FPV drones journey. Also this particular one was recomended to me by people who have the extensive experience with drones in real life. This is probably the best "hand straightener" before you can touch the real thing.
Also tip for newbies who struggle adjusting to the controls and may be frustrated by constant crashing the drone into smth: miracles (i.e. successful landings and fly-through-tight-spots situations) begin to happen after 10 hours in, after 30 hours miracles start disappearing and some real skill showing.
The realism of the models and flying characteristics are accurately transferred to real life. The camera angle adjustments also help relate to user preferences. Detecting controllers ( Boxer, Zorro etc.) also relates to not having to use something like an XBox controller.
Having been a complete beginner 2 times, first one transitioning successfully to a real 5" and second one these days after almost 7-8 years of not touching anything, i can confidently say that learning in the OG Lift-Off is the best way to get your FPV up to a pretty decent level.
Sure there are other sims around on steam, but these are going to be harder to learn on as a first timer.
After your first free flights go straight to race with gates at straw bale, and stay there until you are decent at throttle management and turns.
IT'S GOING TO BE A STRUGGLE at first , but the benefits are absolutely worth it.
Obstacles are pretty forgiving, in the sense that your drone will pretty much go through foliage and all the LIGHT crap around you without too much hassle, and the bounces on solid objects are pretty much always recoverable when you start developing skill; and this is is another benefit that gives you much more sticks time, instead than leaving you miserable swearing on the ground or under some foliage shit that is hard as bricks.
Bind reset on your REAL RADIO, i wholeheartedly suggest to avoid gamepads like the plague, then bind turtle mode and go to practice.
Never tried Velocidrone, as some people tend to have very good opinions about it, but here on the convenience of steam and steam remote play, when it comes to LEARNING, OG-LiftOff is KING in my opinion.
Then yes, when you get to a decent level, get also LiftOff Micro Drones and Uncrashed.
Amazing sims with different traits that in my opinion are more suited to already decent pilots.

Bought Velocidrone and honestly i wish i dind't for that price, just get this and Liftoff Microdrones.
Micros and Woops , physics-wise, feel much more like the real ones in Liftoff Micro Drones than in Velocidrone.
I would say LO Micro Drones flies almost 1:1 specially in 65 class.

5" quads are certainly very good in VD, but honestly that software looks super old and it's not fun to fly.
Lift-off is just a better and funnier package all around, and these guys are not even on Steam.
Just Get the Lift-off series and Uncrashed and you are fine TBH.
love it all the FPV you tube channels recommend practicing on a game FPV simulator. I think this is the best and most user friendly one. I use my Flight controller in USB mode.
Every time I start the sim up I see some improvement. Has to be saving me a ton of $$$ learning on liftoff as opposed to IRL flying.

Worth buying it with all the DLC if on sale, it has HUD and simulated damage which is a plus!
good for practicing as it is a very realistic game with great graphics and physic engine. also good if your a brokie who cant afford a real one.
The best sim for actually flying. Other sims have better graphics but that's not the point of a sim. Liftoff does it best.
If you are looking into getting into FVP or just like simulators in general, I would highly recommend this game. However, if you are very new to flying FPV drones, it will take some time to get comfortable with flying, but after that, it is really fun!
Really fun and detailed sim, the graphics are pretty good and I really like the freestyle mode. I would appreciate more info on the tricks but overall really fun and great for the price
Great game to practice and train your muzzles for when you fly your real fpv drone . at first i thought there is no way this sim whould help with fpv piloting but hey it does
Lots of tracks to learn to fly on. spent about 60hours in this simulator before i got my first FPV drone and can easily say it was worth it to keep practicing here to get the confidence to fly a real expensive drone.
I am learning how to fly ACRO so I wont damage my Avata 2 irl. I'd rather invest many hours here than paying for repairs or a whole new drone. So far the experience is great, fairly easy but challenging at the same time. Just know that it is worth the while you spend here, at first it may seem hard but you'll get the hang of it.

This game was so fun that it made me want to built my own IRL FPV drone. I abandonned the project when i saw how much it was and how much dedication you need to have to own a real-life drone like those shown in the game. I looked at videos about drones, and now i feel like i know everything about drones even tho i don't own one. This game is so great that it developed a passion in my life. 10/10, would buy a drone.
Great game to get used to and practice using fpv drones. I am a first time user to fpv and at first found this very difficult - yet easy to navigate and practice. Now I can fly with less crashing and bouncing, building my confidence.
good sim but best of all is downloadable maps as you can have endless map and racing combinations
I'm using Liftoff with a new Radiomaster Pocket, and I've learned that FPV controllers are nothing like the non-FPV controllers that I've been using on my DJI drones. I haven't even made it out of the free flight yet, but I'm guessing by spring I'll be good enough to start flying outside.
Excellent flight characteristics, and sames me from crashing my real drones when I want to practice something new.
I love this game! If you want to learn how to fly a drone, this is the sim to have. I love that it includes battery management and damage mechanics. A lot of other games don't have damage or battery management.

Good simulator to fly quad and understanding aerodynamics of craft and if you want to become a FPV pilot this game should be the your first spending in that journey
After destroying my FPV on the fly, I decided to search for advice on Internet, many people recommended this simulator. Therefore, I bought the game and played for 2-3 hours. Now I somehow can hold an altitude on my FPV in acro model. Hopefully, by the time, I finish the repair, I can fly better.

Yes. Graphics are what they are. But, I cannot say enough about what I am learning and how much fun I am having in the process. Definitely suggest for anyone looking to try FPV.
Best game i have ever played, more than just a game, improves your skills for real life. Nothing beats it, Liftoff is like a second life. Cant recommend it enough
Almost 30 hours in I'm finally starting to feel somewhat comfortable on mid-tier races. Great game, good physics. I have a 7 inch at home and it does feel remarkably similar.
I don't know which of the last updates was it but the new marker/path system is so good. I haven't played for 2-3 months and today I beat some of my previous records just due to new pathway vizualisation. THANK YOU
As a related note, it would be nice if you could add 'real life' interference like constant wind, rain, fog and signal strength issues. Flying outdoors and long distances isn't the same as a closed warehouse, yet it's exactly the same in game.

Love the liftoff product. I was sure there was issues with the game, but learned it was me.
After 55 hours I can say the game is working very well and I have developed the muscle memory to control my flight. Now I need to be able to fly without the god mode turned on. Two thumbs up.

A great sim for flying drones....Dont be like me and have about 3k dollars of drones stuck in trees on my mountain in colorado.... Learn to fly here....When I first started we didnt have these sims..
this is a really good flight simulator, i just got the cetus pro but i didnt want to crash it so i have been playing alot of this. this is a really good game for its price.
this is great to practice stick time and get better at flying FPV and its fun.
if you like drones this is a must have for learning and bad weather! Great community with tons of support. Graphics are nice and easy and the physics are as close to real life as any SIM I have played (Including trypFPV).

Picked this game as the simulator I wanted to use to fly drones. I feel pretty comfortable with an RC remote after flying Acro mode for 12 hours. I'll probably continue to put in hours until I'm not crashing in the game before I take the skills to real drone flying. But the physics feel accurate and I feel like I'm picking up the flying skills I need to become a beginner on a drone.
The courses are gorgeous and the soundtrack has no right being this friggin' good! There are tons of Workshop tracks and drones to download too for when you get adventurous enough.
This isn't a 'Game', it's more of a training simulator. You 'Will" need a real radio (RC Controller) to fly. Trying to use a game controller will make you pull your hair out and quit using the SIM. Now, if you are willing to get something like a Radiomaster Boxer Crush, you'll be ready for flying against other people, or flying a real FPV. If you can fly a Line of Site drone (DJI) and thats it, You can't fly an FPV until you practice on something like this. This SIM is super realistic. two thumbs up, 10/10 etc.
Great way to start your FPV journey. Easy to pick up even if you haven't flown before. A good variety of maps, a ton of drones, with lots more available to download. The physics are very nice as well, not as rigid and fake-feeling as some other simulators.
Awesome and a really good SIM in my opinion!
