Goat Life is an asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The Russian asset flipper, Vyacheslav Shilikhin, took the basic platformer template from Construct 2, slapped a couple of asset flipped sprites on it, and dumped the results onto Steam as a cash grab scam.

Look for yourself... these are all exactly the same game!
The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Goat Life" is just a very old, very basic Construct 2 template for a simple, badly made platformer that's been reskinned lazily, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so this copy+paste of it can't be recommended.
Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off. Asset flips are an insult to both PC gamers and to professional game developers who create genuine, high quality PC games. Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have. They make it harder for gamers to find genuine games made by honest developers.
To cement the position of this asset flip as nothing but a cash grab, it was dumped onto cheap nasty shovelware bundles very shortly after launch. Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from Vyacheslav Shilikhin.
Got a coupon for this one. I do not recommend purchasing it at full price. It is a simple platform game with no variety, 12 levels of the same thing, no sound and no music. I finished it in 16 minutes, younger people will finish it in 10.

I personally did not like playing this game. It's very simple and only takes about 10-15 minutes to complete as there are only 12 levels. Besides, the game does not include music or any other sounds.
Even though I like the idea of playing the character of a goat, I think it's a rather boring gaming experience. It might be an interesting game for children but could be more fun with background music. The game could also be improved by adding more levels and giving the possibility of changing the goat's physical appearance (e.g. color of fur).
I bought the game during sale, so it was 75% off but I still think it's not worth the money.
This is probably one of worst game I've ever played:
1. Gameplay is just F*cked
2. you're going to die sometimes (I know that sounds stupid)
3. Probably level 6 is not possible to pass
4. Graphics isn't bad (I know really helpfull)
5. Gameplay is probably for 10-15 minutes (I gave up after 8 because of 6th level)
6. No music (Quiet gameplay)
final results: -2/10

I was a lvl 1 goat when I started this game, 10 minutes in and I beat the game and I am now a lvl 35 goat fecker.
Thats how Goat Simulator works, wait a sec. wrong game.

Easy to master, very simple physics.
It's a fun, one hand needed game, jumping around pretending a hungry goat avoiding halloween pumpkins and other stationary, but one touch to die objects.
Controls are arrow up-down-left-right, and that's all!
Dev plz add some new levels so it worths it's money.
Very good game! It started out challangening but then I mastered the deep mechanics and it turned into a cakewalk. Would recommend to grandmas and housecats!

If you're old (like me) and remember Manic Miner and other ZX Spectrum games from the 80s, this is for you. Well worth the 79p I've just paid.
I bought this 99-cent game on sale for 40% off and I still want my money back.
