The Game
DeepLands is a First-Person Single Player Fantasy game with Puzzle game elements as well as some horror game elements. The player will play mainly as a man who will have to find a way through the DeepLands to find his wife and a way home. The game is set in a dark and mysterious setting in the Fantasy world named Áris.The Story
The story begins on Earth in the near future. The main character you play is a man who just bought an old house and is renovating it. Then all of a sudden strange things start to happen and then his wife disappears one day. Before even getting the chance to call the police he discovers that something is in the house... Then before he knows it he also gets dragged into the same place his wife disappeared into. But luckily he is not alone, a small friend is helping him on his journey through the DeepLands and into the strange world where he is looking to find his wife.Поддерживаемые языки: english

Unskippable cutscenes at the start with really poor animations. Is there supposed to be sound?
Moving makes the camera 'hop' up and down as if on a pogo stick, which gets worse if running. There's an instruction that says 'Blue means there's something to do' meaning unless it's blue, it can be ignored, but also if the dev needs to tell the player what can be interacted with using essentially a 'LOOK HERE' then it's more hand-holding than adventure. There's a hunger meter for some reason. I didn't go farther than the mansion as it's vastly empty except a few rooms, and quite frankly, feels unfinished & uneventful.
Fps is doing good nice story good jumpscares !

For An Independent developer it is clear some of the art work got loving attention. However most looks like standard game making program standard generated trails and dungeons. The use of classical music is okay but sometimes heavy handed. Player interaction with the game is limited . NPC's are crude and have very simplistic AI. There is almost no ability to vary from the predetermined story line. Player movement and combat moves are very limited. I had high hopes because it looked pretty; but I have to say it is slow, almost no action. It's a No for me
