This game is my guilty pleasure. It's fun and apparently simple. Then you realize what you can do when you master the techniques. Super fun!
It's a game that requires a lot of skill to really enjoy, especially for things like climbing sheer wall faces. But it is fun if you can do that.
This is a really good game except on servers with lots of people game can lag
Fun little game, best played with friends.
Great game with challenging but fun puzzles that anyone can play. Also has some really creative and exploration points as well.
As a human myself, I find this game very stereotypical and thus I am offended. Approved.
the mechanics are easy to learn and its fun w just two people
Watched Get Good Gaming's video on this way back in the day and I thought it would be fun. turns out, unless you have two or more people playing together its rather mildly infuriating in single player. Yes I'm being lame and not using a controller.
I mean the physics of the game are so wacky and funny, and exploring the levels by finishing them and finding secrets is actually pretty cool.
AND playing this with friends is just the cherry on top, making it a super fun party game.
Give this one a big ol' thumbs down.
I personally don't care for how slow you move and found myself getting annoyed with the lack of control regarding body movement. 20 minutes was all i needed to know this game wasn't for me, not fun one bit.
its really fun and chill also challinging so i recomend it!
fun game, buy it so the developers have more money to make human fall flat 2
Silly mechanics, stupid gameplay, no complaints.
This game is simply amazing! i used to play it on my phone years ago with friends, it is SUPER FUN!!! You wont ever get tired of it!
This probably isn't the best choice for a challenging puzzle game - at least not of the brain-racking kind. In all honesty, the puzzles are as straightforward as can be. Silly physics are solely responsible for any and all challenge here because the player character quite literally plays like a clumsy sack of indeterminate substance.
To help solve the trivial puzzles, the awkward protagonist - referred to as "a human" in the game - is equipped with two individually raisable and triggerable (by mouse buttons or gamepad triggers) multi-surface-bonding hands. These can be used to operate levers to control various machinery, to place items on other items, in sockets or on switches to open doors, and next to taller objects to reach them. With a bit of know-how and coordination these hands can also be used to climb walls to skip sections of levels and to complete certain challenges for achievements in hard-to-reach places.
Frankly, the game can frustrate to the point of feeling outright tiresome. Movement speed is not the fastest. The "human" does not get to build anything more complex beyond inserting one or two missing bits in a mechanism. Picking up smaller objects requires a degree of precision - the hand might miss it and get stuck to the floor instead. Grabbing some adjacent surfaces when climbing is occasionally a bit unreliable. The game may feel very lonely in single player mode because there are no characters to interact with and no story to tie the abstract levels together. The musical score and the background sounds are sparse.
That said, if the mechanical peculiarities, general simplicity, and audio-visual minimalism are not too off-putting, then perhaps there is a calming, introspective experience to be found here. Losing is impossible - there are no enemies to fight, and the player character, along with all objects necessary for the completion of a level, will respawn should they ever find themselves out of bounds. Because of overbearing loneliness the rare bursts of uplifting music triggered by making progress become all the more pleasant and inspiring.
There are quite a few little challenges to perform in every level for achievements. These challenges are not too difficult but can still be enjoyable, although a few of them have ambiguous descriptions, are finicky, unintuitive, and sometimes even buggy with regard to how their respective achievements get awarded. Despite this, at the end of the day they all worked, and every single one of them is possible in single player mode - even those which require going into the two festive multiplayer lobby levels. Multiple extra levels, each governed by a theme, with their own achievements have been added since release. Unfortunately, the game features checkpoint saves only, and levels don't tend to loop back conveniently, so some achievements might necessitate starting the level again if anything is missed along the way because sometimes going back after a checkpoint is either impossible or would be too inefficient.
its a fun game to play with friends, but i don't recommend if you get motion sickness easily
Very fun and goofy and good parkour game (temporary review)
Chaotic and silly fun physics based puzzle game with crazy levels and co op support. There's a ton of different stages and usually different ways to go about solving them. The physics will make you giggle and the silly shenanigans you can get into with friends makes multiplayer feel very rewarding. The controls take a bit to get used to but that just adds to the madness.
Fun physics puzzle platformer for a while but gets boring soon.
Human Fall Flat is a party game in which you control your limbs separately. You need to reach the end goal of each level together, while moving objects, pulling levers and enabling mechanisms.
You travel through different worlds with different themes like the desert, medieval castles, constructions sites and many more. However, the goal remains the same, reach the end of the level.
The charm of this game is, like mentioned, that you need to use both triggers and the thumb sticks to look up, reach up, grab ledges (or people) and perform certain movements. Sometimes you can pull up your teammates from a hard-to-reach spot, sometimes you plummet into the abys when they grab you.
My favorite activity is to grab the ground, look up and take on a twerking pose, shaking my booty.
The graphics are ugly, blend, and simple, just as the developers intended. The camera and animation movements however are decent.
There is a simple track that plays in the background that does not add anything special.
Off course, the controls are horrendous. This is by design, but grabbing a ledge with only one hand, realizing that you are too low and try to pull yourself up with 2 centimeters per minute is skin crawling. The cringe when trying to reach a platform or ledge, especially when it fails, is real and sometimes I wanted to pull my hair out.
Human Fall Flat is very chaotic and when you try to do the same thing with six people at once, it will fail miserably.
This makes for frustrating and hilarious game sessions, especially with friends.
And that is the whole concept here. When playing with friends, this game can be hours of fun, but when playing with strangers without any form of communication, task separation or teamwork, the game feels horrible and you just try to keep up with the rest, who already reached the exit.
For a game this simple, and sometimes, boring, I think it is way too overpriced. For me, this is the kind of game that I play on a LAN Party and never pick up afterwards. I had some fun with it, but I would not recommend it if you do not have a group of friends to play regularly.
these game controls are great. And its so fun to play.
A bit shorter and easier than I expected, but a very fun and hilarious game when playing with many people. Definitely even a game good for the family it seems.
The local split-screen implementation with mixed inputs (Keyboard/Mouse + Controller) is incredibly frustrating and unreliable. Trying to get Player 1 on KBM and Player 2 on a controller is a nightmare. More often than not, as soon as the second player joins with the controller, the keyboard and mouse input for the first player completely stops working.
On the rare occasion - truly, once in a blue moon - that you actually manage to get it working, the game is an absolute blast. It's genuinely fun, silly physics-based gameplay that's great for both adults and kids alike. The potential for local co-op laughs is huge.
However, that potential is completely overshadowed by the sheer inconsistency and hassle of just getting the split-screen to function correctly. Seeing how rarely it cooperates, I simply can't be bothered to fight with the setup anymore. It's a shame, because the core game is enjoyable, but this persistent technical issue ruins the local co-op experience for me.
Cannot recommend if your primary goal is local split-screen with KBM and a controller.
Honestly, I spent most of my time breaking maps by abusing the climbing system to its fullest extent. Play with friends who aren’t dicks and are down for a chill puzzle-solver with some platforming.
This is one of the best games ive played on steam but there are also more really good games to if i would rate this game from 1 to 10 id rate it an 8 im sure everyone else would love it you should 100% try it
some puzzle games make you cry
some precision platformers make your cry
this game does both. but theyre not tears of pain, theyre tears of laughter cause this game is FRICKIN HILARIOUS
I cant stop laughing, this game is so funny lmaoooo. everytime you ragdoll body falls of an enourmous tower -- that you now have to reclimb -- or gets squashed by a giant box you cant help but laughing.
this is a good choice if you like puzzle games, precision platformers and/or doing dumb things with your friends in a video game.
incredibly fun with friends. puzzles are fun, movement and physics are hilarious
pretty solid amount of well-made built-in levels
after we beat the game, there's like at least 100 mostly well made user created levels, some of them can be pretty buggy, but some of them are insanely good. getting 200 hours out of this is pretty crazy and fun. fun with 2 people or more (I don't think we've had more than 4-5 at once)
Its a fun puzzle/platformer game and a sandbox game too but yeah thats all I have to say its a neat game to that you can play with your friends.
Absolutely loved this game, total fun to play with friends!!
This game is HILARIOUS. Grab a group of friends and play it together!
Engaging, fun platformer to play with friends. Lots of community content, and many achievements to be had, with funny ragdoll physics.
Human Fall Flat is a very fun game, it is an awesome game, I really enjoy it.
kinda just pure goofy and fun the movement is just funa nd the music is cool
Funny game, especially with friends. Take some time to use to controls, but it feel pretty unique, at least for me. Always love when level, or part of level can be done with different ways, and some levels have big shortcuts.
Great game full of puzzle and that kind of stuff,u need to use 100% of ur brain in game and think, fire game i recoment it! :D
Another legend in the section of "from frustrating to fun" - extremely worth it with friends, feels short but there's always Workshop maps to extend the chaos for another couple of hours!
it is a very fun challenge and requires patience for the reward at the end of every level
the game is great and i waited so long for the coupon to appear, but im' on apple and it wont even open. Just a black screen. Dont make me regret buying the game!
lost some braincells playing this game but very fun if u play with friends
I played this with my two siblings. We fought a lot, got stressed, and made fun of each other, yet we kept trying to reach the end together. In the end, we finally finished one of the maps. One of the best games I've ever played!
At the candy level, one of my friends figured out how to spin on the waffle boats. One of the funniest thing's I've ever seen in my life.
This game is the very definition on why people lack brain cells and brain stems
Condolences for those still stuck in the tutorial level, please enjoy this virtual pie
The campaign was a lot of fun and not too frustrating and the custom maps from the hub that you can download are pretty chill and awesome, bought it on sale very happy
decent game ONLY GET IF YOU HAVE FRIENDS :( its not really fun without since theres no voice chat
-Quick Review-
Human Fall Flat is a physics-based puzzle-platformer developed by No Brakes Games and released in 2016. Where you’re dropped into the game, laugh at the funny animation and antics, wave your arms around, and puzzle/parkour your way to the end of the level.
Hopefully you’re playing with friends, because this game is best enjoyed with friends! But you can play Human Fall Flat on your own or give the controller to your child to let them entertain themselves for a while.

-Detailed breakdown review-
Gameplay: The Controls for Human Fall Flat are pretty simple; you can play with a controller or keyboard and mouse, as usual I used Keyboard and Mouse. For Keyboard you move with WASD, jump with spacebar, aim where you’re grabbing with your camera which is controlled by the mouse, the right and left mouse buttons are used to grab with your hands.
You’re dropped into the level (literally) and need to get to the end-goal-objective somewhere in the level. All the levels have different themes and are floating in space. If you drop off the map, you will seamlessly “fall-respawn” to the last checkpoint you had.
One of the biggest praises for the game is that the levels are fairly open ended. In other words the level can be finished in a nonlinear fashion; Once I get dropped into the level I can play by the rules and solve the puzzles to get to the end… …*OR* I can channel my inner spiderman and parkour my way to the end.
There’s a total of 28 levels to get through, the developer No Brakes Games has released new levels over the years, which is always great! Personally I love it when developers keep making stuff and supporting their games. One of the strongest points for Human Fall Flat will be the Steam workshop which will give you downloadable fan-made-content for new levels and player skins! If you want to see just how far a game can go with community content just look at Garry’s Mod, or Skyrim.

Conclusion: I’ve enjoyed playing Human Fall Flat. But I’ve had the most fun playing with a group while in voice chat… The problem is my friend group doesn’t want to play anymore, so I was stuck playing through the rest of the 3/4's of the game by myself.
But I digress! It’s nice to occasionally play games which are simple, don’t have some deep lore storytelling thing going on. With Human Fall Flat, what you see is what you get. If you like it pick it up and enjoy! If not, give it a skip.
Loved this game ever since i was a kid, so much to do, nice destruction features!
I love this game, i have beaten all the levels on switch and decided to pick it up on pc for the sale, its super fun puzzle game with unique characteristics, very fun game to play with friends
This game is a fun puzzle game you can play with all your friends.
Simple, yet fun
as per 2025 this game still fells great but only if you bought it on sale ,also i would recommend playing online or with frnds more than local
They keep updating and giving everyone free maps, 10/10 love it!
The ragdoll physics alone are worth buying the game for.
