Описание
The Last DeadEnd(на рус."

Really liked it! very nice atmosphere and vibes
The game is bad in all the right ways with jank and unchallenging combat, bad English translations and occasionally unhinged lines of dialog and text. The game was made with a lack of funding and skill but a surprising amount of effort and definitely is worth the $10 price point.
8/10
The Last DeadEnd is an okay and kind of interesting action horror game, now what is the story. It has been many years since Farhad Novruzov has been in his hometown, having moved after the disappearance of his mother and moving to America to study abroad it has been a long time.
But when a national television channel is interested in doing a documentary of his homeland Farhad takes this opportunity as he is the most qualified to write the script, but after meeting his old friend and being given a recently discovered book the young man is soon thrust into a mission to stop the apocalypse, but can he do it or will he come to a dead end.
The likes, the gameplay is okay it's pretty simple just explore and kill any enemies that gets in your path, there's no real puzzles or anything just a simple shoot and proceed to the next level. The story was okay and kind of interesting as well as it used Zoroastrianism religion for the story, although there were some parts that were a bit confusing mostly because how it's written.
The graphics are okay despite some weird facial animations it wasn't half bad to look at; it had an okay use of color too. The levels were okay, pretty diverse and also the city levels is actually based on real locations which I found pretty cool. The voice acting was okay, it was serviceable kind of wooden and a bit strange in certain places, but it's serviceable. The enemies and bosses were pretty good, each one having their own unique design which are taken from mythology which was pretty cool.
The music and sound effects were okay nothing really interesting, except a few parts in the old city where we pass a radio and there was a song playing that was nice to listen too. The atmosphere in the game was okay could be pretty spooky sometimes, but after you play the game for a while it gets less spooky. The three different modes to play, survival mode, kill a certain amount of enemies and wave mode, we're pretty good time wasters after beating the main game.
Now the best thing in the game is these encyclopedia entries which are very good, basically when you play the game and look at certain things you're giving an encyclopedia entry about the characters, location and facts; I found them really good as it teaches you about the land and about Zoroastrianism. Now is the game scary, it can be a little bit scary, especially when you first play it and even after playing the game a second time there are still some things that can made me jump.
The dislikes, the game has no map you can look at when you get lost, but there should be a map as I was playing the game I got a bit lost, especially in the old city levels so I would have liked a map to see where I was are, but sadly there isn't. While I said the story is okay it does have some problems and it's mostly in its word phrasing, what I mean by that is the main character asks about an entrance to the catacombs where he and his friend played as children, but he says it like, by the way do you know if the entrance into the catacomb where we were playing in childhood is opened. It just felt like weird phrasing, I don't know maybe it's because of the English translation but felt weird and a bit off-kilter.
Also there is one level that's really, really stupid in the heading to Maiden tower level after seeing a crane drop a bunch of enemies will spawn, like before I thought they'd be simple to kill like the others, but turns out for some reason these enemies are basically bullet sponges, even the most powerful gun you can get cannot be enough to kill them, also there are a lot of them to kill. But in a walkthrough it told me how to kill them while not getting hurt, but still it did take like a good couple minutes before they were all dead due to the fact they were bullet sponges.
Alright now that I told you this The Last DeadEnd is an okay and kind of interesting action horror game, with an okay gameplay, an okay and kind of interesting story and very good encyclopedia entries. So do I recommend this game I actually do, it has its problems but it's not that bad, it's actually pretty okay for a time waster and it's like seven bucks.
yes
Pretty mediocre mix of an adventure and a shooter. For some reason some of the adventure parts are played in third person, but the rest of the game is in first person which I didn't liked. The whole game should have been first person imo.
Character models look pretty bad, story and writing also was rather bad. The levels are sadly mostly pretty empty which is a shame. The combat against regular enemies is ok (mostly zombies) but the boss fights are just awful, They are unbalanced and buggy. There is also one section of the game where a bunch of zombies spawn in and attack you which have for some reason way more hp than all other zombies, which are basically impossible to kill without abusing a glitch basically.
So overall, I have to give a negative rating. But it's not all bad. I kinda liked the historian aspect of the game and the first few combat levels are decent, later on they get worse tho.
Ufff... overall i really does not want to give this game a bad review but there are a handful of negative aspects.
At first i want to say that the idea of a re-created real city of azerbaijan is a wonderful idea and i would wish a lot more developer would do little projects like that
As i started my playthrough i was optimistic. The graphics and mechanics are ok, music and sounddesign too but nothing special and the spoken dialogues are audible.
The first thing i found strange was that as soon as you start with the exploration of the "city-parts" the game switch from 1st to 3rd person and all you do is run from a to b. It would be so much more interesting if you could explore the city like you explore the stages in 1st person and have a few events to find or puzzles to solve instead of the mentioned boring running around in an unfavorable camera angle which does not flatters the game. But at least a huge plus are the cats. My god the cats :3
But i was optimistic and entered the "dark city" and the dungeons, encounterd the first enemies and was thinking "aha, looks odd but someone needs to slay them, so lets go on" and then i faced the damn ravens. This little bastards are so annoying and the only thing to do is to stand in a corner and swing your axe and hope you will hit this little mfs by luck.
Next thing: The bosses. They are quite ok and i like the idea that every boss has a special way to defeat them but honestly it was always the same pattern. You enter - lose life until you figure it out how to kill your foe - die - do the thing the game want you to do - it is over. Maybe i am too hard regarding this topic but there was no aha moment, not a real interesting way to defeat them and no feeling that you acomplished something special. Also the endboss was much more easier as the guys before so from the pacing of difficulty, hm.
The story is not worthy to discuss, same goes with the characters and the overall dialogue quality. It is just there, a story about apocalypse and too fast and much story telling within a short game. I really like the enzyclopedia, i love enzyklopedias and every game should have interesting and useful information about real stuff or inspiring things, so thumbs up for that.
This game has also quick time events, not much but they are there. Thank god not Indigo Prophecy style but enough to fill two short sections what was quite ok but also nothing really new or special.
What i also found strange was, as i finished the game and looking at the achievements, there was just nothing. The game just doesn't count them. I entered again the last bossfight and suddenly i got one for the encyklopedia, chose the bad ending and damned azerbaijan+rest of the world, got another one and asked myself what the hell is happening here.
I really thought about to do a second playthrough before i review this game but overall i was too disappointed and the curve of interest really goes down as i played more and more of this. I like the idea and the environment, could have lived without the useless story but after some time i was only annoyed. Oh i also forgot the snakes, someone was thinking it is a fun idea when they come always from behind, congrats mr snake placer you did a bad job.
I also tried the survival mode for 3 minutes. Combat system is not exciting enough for such a mode, it may work within the game and scripted encounters but not in such a mode, sorry.
To end this lament, i really was optimistic at the beginning but the curve went downhill and at the end i was left with a feeling that i will not play this game again or even want to do a second playthrough. Even if it where only cause of the fact that i want my damn unnecessary and not life enriching achievements...
Oh i forgot, there are a handful of jumpscares and the lightbulbs in this game are of very bad quality, but if you played at least one horror game in your life you will survive that for sure.
was able to accept a large amount of jank but this game with poor combat then traps you with infinite respawning zombies and a bullet sponge boss make it infuriating and a total waste of your time and dollar.
A very succesful game that came from the surprise to reality. 12 points to Azerbaijan.
after playing for a good 0.2 i can tell you there is bad and there is the last deadend,I swear it might been a good game, But its clear that this game had alot of love but no skill and alot of used assists put into it, Like the over SIZED cat that run away from the dumpster , I dont even know why the phase of the game is fucked , like the guy was walking in the street god knows why , and when i walked into a group of fucking crows they made pigeon noise why the flew away , and the chapter after it ,Ah yea so many hallways are fucking wet thats the reason why you cant go through here, you know what else you can use? A FUCKING WALL.not recommend even when it is 2$
This game has a great story for a horror action game. Mostly the game is first person and it is played in the very creepy old city of Baku. Parts of the game are presented in third person view which depends on the are in the game the player is exploring.
While there are FPS elements there is much more to this game. The overall design is more exploration that an action shooter. The game world has much to explore over and above the core action.
The old city of Baku is walled village which is common in many medieval cities of the world. While it's a modern metropolis today, the old city is still present which is ideal for exploring the history of region.
There are some monsters to evade which may take a few tries to get past. The game world is rather maze like so exploration is part of the overall gameplay. The player has a flashlight to allow him to explore dark areas in the gameworld.
Weapons include a pistol and melee weapons to handle assorted monsters. The game is marketed as a shooter but much of this game is exploration.
The game uses the Unreal engine which makes it playable on modest performing machines. The game runs poorly on Intel integrated graphics. My P52 has P1000 graphics which is fine for playing this game at 1920x1080. This game supports Xbox 360 controllers as well as keyboard and mouse.
This game is often on feature so wish list it if you like an above average story and a good hack and slash action shooter.
Total shit
It really is so bad that it is quite enjoyable. I bought it for a few pennies and after getting over the awful voice acting found that, despite crap graphics and clunkiness, it's not so bad. Fun game just as long as you're not expecting an ace production.
Nice music, and pretty good Old City detalisation.
Sometimes its remind me Silent Hill with it parallel worlds.
Dark world is creepy sometimes nice surrounding effects that keeps you in tense.
But characters voiced awful, sound like lifeless robots.
SUPER SHORT GAME NOT WORTH THE MONEY
The Last DeadEnd is a interesting game which is combines different genres. Despite some minor visual compromises and frame rate drops, it still looks pretty good. Mystic-horror themes and humor elements makes this game more enjoyable. I also loved Zoroastrianism related story (bosses, puzzles). This game gives you a chance to explore Old Baku and learn its history. Anyone looking for a fun challenging gameplay experience should buy this game.
Good gameplay, nice scenery and sound effects. In complex you feel full immersion.
First you think that game going a little bit boring, but after playing 15-20 min. you will surprised well thought out scenario.
9/10
Not often i do a review, but here we go!
TLDR iknow, but bare with me...
Im on a slight 50/50 here, but have to say im not all that excited after finishing the game with both endings...
It started out great, and i love the voice-actor for the main character. The characters in general are descent, and i can't really say much about it other than that the dialogs are a bit akward and doesnt always add up... Most of the voice/dialogs are slightly monotone and there are not a lot of excitement in any of the communication...
The graphics are better than descent, but not hitting a high note on my list (even for being such a cheap game). It looks good, it has some good shading and the main character and most of the weapons look great compared to everything else. The environment is good looking, and i can tell they have spent some time on it, but it doesnt make the game better unfortunately...
There is no map in the game: fair... But walking around the town is a mind-breaker of its own. most of the time i had NO idea where to go, and i found myself just wandering around hoping i would find the right destination! Luckily the city isnt all too big, so i managed to find everything without having to spend way too long.
Now for the big bad wolf: the mechanics of the game... The overall controls is what really made the game a "not recommended" game for me.. Buttons are not always working when you want them to, the dashing is up to a point where it is useless and the combat system in itself (when it comes to moving around and killing stuff) is not a finished product... The "click to avoid" is a very cheap way to go in this game, and could've been done in so many other ways! It didn't fit in with the vibe of the game at all, and i think the scenes where this takes place could've been made so much better.
The "monsters" are okey; Nothing out of the ordinary... It follows the same procedure as most other horror games! I'd only wish for more monsters im afraid...
The guns are cool, but there are no indication on how much ammunition you have left, which is a shame... If there's not a HUB, i think you should still be able to check when you're almost out, cause moving into a boss battle without ammo is typically not a good idea...
Back to the combat system: What makes the combat system "bad" in my opinion is that the monsters are very random... If you mix random movement with random monster-behavior you can get quite stuck and end up in several akward situatuions! I found myself having to do all bossbattles several times because i had no idea when they died... On one go i were fighting the boss for 3-4 maybe even 5 minutes, and then the next time i tried i did it in under 20 seconds! The worst one was the "dark warrior" who reads your moment and tries to only interract on what you do. It was really tedious because i felt it was all random when i actually hit him and the fight took so long the entire atmosphere of the battle just dissapeared... Easily said; I got bored!
The jumpscares tho... They really got me in the beginning! I actually started sweating the first 30 minutes i played this game, so thats a BIG thumbs up! Unfortunately this stopped after about 45 minutes since it got really repetative and you learned when it was coming!
Conclusion: please fix the most obvious problems and make this game longer! It is quite a unique game, and it has a lot of potential, but it's just not making the scene for me as it is... Finishing an entire Horrorgame story in 3 hours is not... i'm gonna be fully honest, its not good!
I really wanted this to be good, but it suffers a lot from the same issues that made The Dark Years and Unearthed: The Trail of Ibn-Batuta had & almost no game deserves to be compared to both of those at the same time.
- Long, unskippable cutscenes with english subtitles that read like they were auto-translated and voiceover pronunciation by people who haven't seen/heard some of those words before.
- A mix of control schemes:
The game is split between an 'Light' world (which is quite well designed despite being populated by many stock Unreal civilians) and a 'Dark' world.
In the 'Light' world where you explore the city of Baku in Azerbaijan (which I will take their word for), you don't have a sprint meter & you have a flashlight and smart-glasses that you can't use. The smart-glasses would be helpful if there was some sort of navigation as (again, I'm taking their word for it) Azerbaijan is a maze of cobblestone corridors between dead-ends, random savepoints that aren't inside of the cutscenes and then cutscene markers that are often a few feet from the save point.
In the 'Dark' world, you can use your infinite flashlight (it isn't impossibly dark even if you turn it off because there is a gamma slider) and smart-glasses to identify pick-ups and translate ancient languages, and this is the main part where the game gets let down because the english translation is poor, the story becomes clunky and uninteresting (not even clunky/funny like Ibn-Batuta) the maze maps which although not particularly long, are long enough that the sprint meter you suddently acquire becomes immensely annoying; sprint meters add so little to most games and considering in the few sections where I am being chased by the ancient monsters of this games lore, I am doing so in cutscenes with quick-time events it is wholly unecessary here.
The 'combat' so far is uninspired and pointless, 2 quick-time events (one that only had one prompt) and then you get an axe which you use to cut off padlocks somehow and then you get a pistol which seems to auto-aim at the few snakes I've come across in the catacombs, either that or they have horrible hitboxes because I am sure I wasn't aiming where the 'blood' effect came from (but at least there was visual feedback), ammo seemed plentiful but I wasn't actually able to pick it up, so I think this is one of those games that uses the 'you don't have a flashlight, why would you need batteries?' system, where I didn't need ammo, so why should I be able to pick it up.
As in the 'Light' world, you'll often exit a cutscene, be given control only to walk a few feet forward and go into another cutscene, this happens a frustrating amount of times and it negatively breaks up the flow of the gameplay.
The combination of all of these things are what make this game unfortunately, unpleasant to play.
If the developers could remove the sprint meter from the 'Dark' world and add a cutscene skip or at least allow some form of faster dialogue advancement, and better (if there is any) navigation markers to the 'Light' workd; it would make the game a more tolerable experience as the story seems like it will be interesting; but the game hampers itself by making it a slog to experience it when there really isn't many tasks other than map running so far.
I won't return it, I hope this gets improved but it isn't recommended at this point unless you love janky cutscene dialogue that isn't funny/bad but the facial expression rigging is often quite awkward in a way that did make me want to continue playing it.
Its a very good "Bad game".
Sure, it needs better character animations, dialogs sounds a bit cheesy, melee combat is pure BS, but its very enjoyable.
Core gameplay is good, "enemies" don't feel too weak nor OP, atmoshpere is spooky when it needs to be, and beautiful when necessary.
IMO, only 2 thing needs to be done; rewriting the encyclopedia, and revamping the melee combat.
6.8/10 would recommend
Oh, and the amount of hilarious cultural references foreigners to Azerbaijan won't understand is through the roof!
