very fun game, pretty good graphics, very fun storyline some people may not agree with me but i stick with my opinion tho
the atmosphere and story of the game were very good i would like to finish it again :)
If you wanna watch a war movie get A DVD don't get this game
An absolutely spectacular game and one of the best COD games out there, From its amazing graphics to its interesting characters to its wonderful campaign, it is a BANGER of a game and one that should be recognised more by the gaming community.
In my experience this Call of Duty has the most replayable Campaign out of all of them. It is so immersive and honestly one of the most underrated CODs out there. Great Game.
Can I just say I played this game with my longtime friend on his Playstation the first time and I loved it
I decided to purchase it for myself when I built my pc and can I say it was mainly for the zombie's aspect.
And to be honest I do not regret it at all however there aren't really active players so if you are one for solo easteregs go for it else maby twist a friend or two's arm to join you for the adventure.
The worst matchmaking for multiplayer lobbies. will never play online.
i dont know why people didnt like this one , its one of my favorite cods, showing the harsh reality of World War 2, this game shows the humanity at its worse and everybody is just a dead man walking
Efsane bir 2.dünya savaşı oyunu, Steam dolara geçtiği için alınmaz ama konsol platformlarında 200-300 tl verilebilir
The story's OK, but it could have been a little bit better, but that's what you get from a Call of Duty game. The other. reason why this game is getting a thumbs up is because of the story.
I would not recommend this game as it feels clunky with the limited sprint, but the Campaign is very fun. However, the Campaign strongly lacks replay-ability, with the few missions and the same thing over and over. Another thing that annoyed me was the fact that this game was incredibly historically inaccurate, for example, Pierson carries a Tompson gun with a 50 round drum mag, which would never have been given to soldiers. This is is just one of many historical inaccuracies, and I feel the Devs are truly sick to market this as, "Honoring the Memory of WW2" when it does almost the exact opposite of this. Go buy squad 44 instead. Its a better choice.
one of the best cod campaign's ever multiplayer filled with cheaters tho kinda hard to find a lobby unless you in shipment 24/7
Overhated game when it came out, zussman putting in work tho
Probably my most favorite game out there cause I LOVEE WW2 and this just simulates it very very well
DIE IN A FIRE YE WHO PUT THE QTEs IN THIS SHIT GAME
10/10 IGN Game of the Year
its not a bad game theres some mechanics that are better than others, but its really fun but very buggy alot of glitches and multiplayer is dead its a shame
its not worth full price but if you see it on sale then its worth for the zombies and campaign but dont expect multiplayer gameplay.
Various graphical bugs and difficulty spikes in the most random areas. The game can also decide just to frag you if it doesn't like you.
Already a few years old but the best WW2 game still - hands down! Good scenario (reminding us about the horror of the war), great graphics (set to ultra) and some pretty intense moments! Highly recommended.
It's like a jump to the past and to our childhood, when Call of Duty used to be a WW2 based game, going through the iconic settings of the great war as you'd expect from an old CoD... but with the storytelling of the new games that make it feel like it's taken out froma war movie.
Squad dynamic adds a great touch to the game, giving you constant support from different allies in different ways.
Mission vary enough to keep the game from getting boring, switching from infiltrating between nazi lines to stealth missions or all-out tank battles.
It's a spectacular game, and a must play for all old-school CoD fans.

(2nd play through) I quit because the QTE's are the worst!!!
I'm tired of being beaten up by a German over 40 times with less than a second to drag my mouse and interpret the key, then somehow press it on time, assuming I can read it or don't miss the mouse drag...
This review is purely based upon the campaign.
I expected a better version of the older COD WW2 style games. Sadly this is not the case. It feels like they wanted to let you experience WW2 through the eyes of a soldier, but they failed in doing so. Biggest issues are the overdramatized stereotype characters, lack of an original realistic and immersive story that makes you want to identify with the main character you play and in general a lot of historical inaccuracies, partly the result of having a very small cast playing the characters. As if a colonel at the front briefs one single sergeant on what to do...
All in all, gameplay itself was fun, just a very poor story that simply wants you to skip the very very long cutscenes as quick as possible or in general wants you to alt tab and do something else for 10min while waiting for the cutscene to end.
My favourite bc it has the greatest storyline
Underated, deserves more love, but needs a remake to be more realistic.
One of the last good campaigns from Call of Duty.
The graphics are insane.
If you love WWII shooters the campaign alone is a MUST.
MP and Zombies are still semi active to this day.
I've seen alot of people on Steam giving hate to this game, but it seems pretty unfounded. It's a Call of Duty game so the campaign is short, but it's easily the best WWII game you can play from (not too recent years).
I'm currently playing for the 5th time since it released about 6 years ago; I've finally got a graphics card powerful enough to play on max settings, 4k, 60fps and it's still a really nice looking, cinematic experience.
It's the closest thing to Band of Brothers you can get in game form, with a campaign focused on squad mates and characters. It's bloody too, with dismemberment and limbs flying off (right up my street). If you get a good price, play it! My only regret is that it doesn't go on for longer!
Call of Duty: WWII offers a classic return to "boots-on-the-ground" combat, reviving the series’ roots with its World War II setting. The multiplayer mode is a standout feature, providing fun, fast-paced action with some fresh additions like the War Mode, which takes players through multi-stage objective-based maps, and Headquarters, a social space that feels like a mini-Destiny hub where you can relax between battles
The campaign, while full of action and spectacle, has been criticized for its lack of strong narrative coherence. The storyline feels disjointed in parts, and the characters often don’t offer much depth until the latter stages. Despite this, the moments of intense combat, such as beach landings and bombed cities, provide memorable experiences
The return of Nazi Zombies mode is also a highlight, delivering a dark, action-packed twist on the traditional formula
The overall experience, especially in multiplayer, keeps the game fun and engaging despite some flaws in the single-player story
Very Good, Recomended to buy, the online Multiplayer still exist on 2024
this is the most underrated call of duty game of all time, even though it turned 7 years old about 4 days ago it still compaires to cods recent games, 100% my favorite call of duty game would recommend
its terible the graphics suck and the gameplay is so lagy
its a nice one for one map on zombie where you camp its a nice one thats nice
It would be really nice to see a new World War II game from Call of Duty!
I only bought this game for the main campaign. And it's horrible. I honestly think CoD II was better... from 2005. The only good thing I can say about it, is that the cinematics are nice. (except stuff clipping through eachother and stiff movements all around. But the graphics are good!) So only buy it, if you want to watch a movie... an extremely incoherent movie, which tries to be touching but makes no sense. (just one example: you decide to save a single person, so you sacrifice a couple hundred or more... and then you should feel proud about it.)
The gameplay is extremely limited, invisible walls and killzones everywhere. And a crapton of scripted events. Scripted events everywhere! More of an interactive movie than anything. Would not recommend at all! (Go play some good old CoD2, it has the feeling, it has the music, it has the gameplay. So it's better in every way, except graphics.)
Good Game,nice graphics,good campaign.
Black ops 6 is bad call of duty is woke I dont want nicky minaj in FPS my immersion is ruined and its not military anymore just put kamala harris and joe biden as main protagonists
The single player story mode is awesome, experience WWII in first person as a solder, that's exactly what I want
brilliant graphics
Story mode enjoyer here, was a good campaign only reason I bought it.
Great game NEVER TRY CAMPAIGN ON VETERAN, there is nothing but dispair and disappointment awaiting
Campaign mode is too short
2nd best cod ww2 campaign. Zombies is meh to awful. Multiplayer there's no point even talking about how much that failed.
Call of Duty: WWII marks a significant return to the franchise's roots, delivering a first-person shooter experience set against the backdrop of World War II. Developed by Sledgehammer Games, this installment aims to provide players with a more authentic and immersive depiction of the war, stepping away from the futuristic settings of recent entries. Released in 2017, WWII focuses on the European theater, capturing the intense battles and personal stories of soldiers during one of the most pivotal periods in history.
Campaign Overview
The single-player campaign of Call of Duty: WWII follows Private Ronald "Red" Daniels, a young soldier from Texas, as he embarks on a harrowing journey through the war. The narrative begins with the D-Day invasion of Normandy, a meticulously recreated sequence that sets the tone for the campaign. Players experience the brutal realities of war through Daniels’ perspective, alongside a diverse squad of characters, each contributing to the emotional depth of the story.
The campaign is structured around key battles and events, including the liberation of Paris and the Battle of the Bulge. The storytelling effectively balances action-packed gameplay with quieter moments that allow for character development and reflection on the impact of war. The camaraderie among soldiers is a central theme, highlighting the bonds formed in the heat of combat and the sacrifices made along the way.
Gameplay Mechanics
Call of Duty: WWII retains the fast-paced, fluid gameplay the series is known for, while introducing some new mechanics that enhance the experience. Players navigate through various environments, engaging in both large-scale battles and smaller skirmishes. The game features a mix of infantry combat, vehicle operations, and aerial engagements, providing a diverse gameplay experience.
One notable addition is the "War" mode, which presents a series of objective-based missions where players must work together to achieve specific goals. This mode emphasizes teamwork and strategy, diverging from traditional deathmatch styles and offering a fresh take on multiplayer gameplay. The standard multiplayer mode also returns, with classic game types and new maps that reflect the historical context of the game.
Visuals and Audio Design
Visually, Call of Duty: WWII impresses with its attention to detail and immersive environments. The graphics engine effectively captures the gritty atmosphere of wartime Europe, with realistic character models and destructible environments that enhance the gameplay experience. The level of detail in the environments, from bombed-out buildings to lush forests, adds to the immersion and authenticity of the setting.
The audio design plays a crucial role in creating an authentic experience, with a powerful soundtrack that complements the action. The sound effects of gunfire, explosions, and the ambient noises of battle contribute to the overall atmosphere, making players feel as if they are truly in the midst of the conflict. Voice acting is also notable, with performances that lend emotional weight to the characters and their experiences.
Community and Replayability
The multiplayer component of Call of Duty: WWII fosters a strong community, allowing players to engage in competitive gameplay with friends and fellow enthusiasts. The game features a progression system that rewards players for their performance, offering various unlockables such as weapons, equipment, and cosmetic items. This system encourages players to continue honing their skills and experimenting with different loadouts.
While the campaign provides a compelling narrative experience, its relatively short length may leave players wanting more. However, the robust multiplayer options and ongoing support through updates and seasonal content provide ample opportunities for replayability.
Conclusion
In summary, Call of Duty: WWII effectively captures the essence of the World War II era while delivering engaging gameplay and a compelling narrative. The return to historical roots offers a refreshing change for longtime fans of the franchise, and the diverse gameplay modes ensure that players can experience the intensity of war in various forms.
With its attention to detail in visuals and audio, alongside a focus on character-driven storytelling, Call of Duty: WWII stands out as a noteworthy entry in the series. Whether players are embarking on a solo campaign or engaging in multiplayer battles, the game provides an immersive experience that pays homage to the bravery and sacrifice of those who fought during this tumultuous time in history.
Call of Duty: WWII multiplayer delivers a thrilling and nostalgic experience that brings players back to the roots of the franchise. The fast-paced gameplay is intense, with a range of classic maps that beautifully capture the essence of World War II battles. The gunplay feels satisfying, with a solid arsenal of weapons that allows for diverse playstyles.
The introduction of War Mode adds a strategic layer, where teams must complete objectives, making every match feel dynamic and engaging. Additionally, the divisions system provides a fresh take on class customization, allowing players to tailor their loadouts to fit their preferred combat roles. While the multiplayer mode can be chaotic, it’s that very unpredictability that keeps the adrenaline pumping and the gameplay exciting. Overall, Call of Duty: WWII multiplayer is a fantastic experience for both longtime fans and newcomers, combining classic gameplay with modern enhancements for hours of action-packed fun!
A nice break from the COD of now. Good storytelling, and some very cinematic campaign moments. Great pickup when it's on sale if you're a fan of WWII or storytelling.
The most authentic, best and most terrifying WW2 game. A true masterpiece
I don't really play much Call of duty, but when I got this I fell in love.
Love it.
The single-player mode is good. The story is good and so is the gameplay.
The graphics are great.
The game is a little harder (on regular difficulty) than other COD games I've played, but not too difficult. I like the introduction of the stealth mode, especially the fact that you can usually choose whether to go stealth or guns-blazing (usually stealth is easier).
Unlike previous COD games, this one feels much more realistic: the movements, the lack of a crosshair (when shooting from the hip), everything.
this is a highly underrated cod game the campaign is really good!!
