The story is the best of any call of duty if you want to watch a movie, the zombies is semi scary and not totally great, and multiplayer is dead unless you play shipment. Cool game.
Very Entertaining Story Line, The Platoon is made up of some very well trained soldiers, The First mission easily take the cake on (Best Mission Of Call Of Duty History) Award. If your Interested In A Historic Game that has to do with fighting in wars this is the one 100%. so realistic i almost got ptsd from call of duty lmao
I recommend playing the single player mode at least, but the game has some troubles for people in middle east region, the arrangement of servers is unfair, you could possibly wait between 20-150 minutes to enter the specific mode you want
part of the problem is that there is no one entering this servers
{players should be able to choose the server without 3rd party applications}
(I checked some streamers from other countries who casually play without this huge delay)
but if you choose the most common mode(say for example TDM) you will face some hackers or some people who want to spread toxicity for no valid reason + repeated maps + no fun
But I actually find the game fun, kind of...
The Campaign is great, I love the tank support mission when you on a Sherman, alone have to fight against a Tiger and a Panther at the same time.
But the Time Event is really really really bad
That's when your fps is too high and the "Time Event" is so Fing fast like 0.1s and you can't even read what button to press. You have to lock your fps to 60 to make the "Time Event" right
The devs don't even bother to fix this
Still a recommend when its sale :)
Bought it mainly for the campaign and hoping for the more oldschool COD feel going back to the WWII theme. Unfortunately it's just a short campaign with short missions. The resource management sucks and the shooting realism is terrible. I get that most weapons shouldn't be a one shot kill, but getting a headshot with, for example, the M1 carabine doesn't kill the enemy, and you need to spray away almost half a clip of a submachine gun to down one. This kind of destroys the whole use of the submachine gun in close quarters for me.
In short it fails as realism with the one direction move and gun until the next cut scene, but fails as an arcade shooter with the limited ammo and weapons choices. And the story is fully focused on the members of the squad without having any growth or development in them.

OK, to start I don't do multiplayer so this is about the campaign and I got this for $20.00 so for that price I guess its decent at best.
But here's why I hate CoD.
It takes 3 to 4 30-06 rounds to kill a guy. . . are you kidding me?
AI teammates couldn't kill a fly if they wanted to.
Tank controls are absolute garbage.
Continuity errors in weapons, like, why are the Germans carrying Soviet weapons en mass?
The stereotypical German bad guys are just atrocious and their accents are so over done.
The levels feel like a remake of a bunch of the other CoDs.
The "platoon" never looks at anyone but like, 4 people maybe 5, so we don't care about anyone else. Platoons even in modern day are about 36+ depending on attachments Etc. so what about the other 30 dudes.
Again, for $20 I guess I got what I paid for.
The start of the end for my interest in anything Call of Duty related. Loot boxes and unmemorable gameplay. I don't even remember what happened in the campaign.
Crazy that it's still $60.
I don’t know how to say it correctly, I will of course keep it for myself, but I would like you to read the reviews before purchasing. The game is difficult even at the minimum level, also impossible to control for me.

Returning back to the time when COD was still good and not just an R-rated Fortnite. This was the final COD before everything turned bad—excellent graphics, a great campaign, and multiplayer.
Absolute shit port. The QTEs make playing the game on PC impossible. Huge rip off even when discounted.

This game is awesome and graphics are amazing. If you want to play offline against bots, this or COD BO3 will scratch that itch as of 12 30 24. Not sure of other COD titles, I only own these 2. Battlefield V also has bot missions.
Call of Duty: WWII offers a surprisingly short but incredibly intense campaign. The story, though somewhat predictable, effectively throws you into the heart of World War II, allowing you to experience the conflict from multiple perspectives. The constant shift in gameplay, from infantry battles to tank assaults and even air combat, keeps the experience fresh and engaging.
However, the game has some significant drawbacks. The tank controls, unfortunately, feel clunky and unresponsive, hindering the enjoyment of those sections. While the air combat sequence is surprisingly well-executed, they are brief and don't offer enough depth to truly shine.
Ultimately, it is a decent game in the franchise, but its short length and relatively high price tag make it a tough sell at full price. I'd recommend waiting for a significant discount before taking the plunge.
The Campaign for COD:WW2 is amazing. There are very few stealth missions, but it adds to the WW2 feel. The complaint I have is that the tank controls on keyboard are HORRENDOUS, The mission involving the tank was supper hard, as I didn't have a controller with me, making controlling the tank a challenge. You can barely turn the tank to aim at your targets, and when you try to move, it moves in a random direction..
The fastest way to kill the enemy: sprint to the next (or previous) checkpoint. They evaporate :p
It's fun, but not worth even half the price. Lots of work appears to have gone into great art direction, little appears to have gone into map design.
Played previous version and wanted to try also this. Story is nice, but I wanted to experience the way till the end (Berlin). Ended it in 7 hrs (regular) and still have a feeling that this game could deliver more. Hope the dev who made tank mission is in good place.
This game does crash for me and i have no idea why but i would recommend people play this as it has great story telling and game play
i have completed this game long time ago, it was one of the best games i have ever go 100% Completion Achievements on, the Gameplay is very good, the audio is good, the Story is fun to play, i recommend this game, it's worth it on sale.
Stupid af health system and only way to do things is by squad actions when my boy is half way across the map. F this garbage.
I don't know who did the QA testing on the tank level. But they should be fired and perma banned from ever working in games dev. Uninstalled the game instantly. Completely useless level. Controls are 'FD' on PC and even with a controller the FPV makes it's extremely difficult. Add in two tanks on a very small map. My god. I want a refund.
I think this is the best campaign in COD history.I got it on sale for $20 dollars which is an absolute steal.If you get the chance to play this PLAY IT !
2 hours isn't much but its a must buy! game rn is 20$ but its damn worth it, everything is so realistic and game isn't even that hard

Fun game. Only gripe is the realism of your allies. They literally do nothing. They don't cover you so it's like you're always fighting all the Germans by yourself
Even with just the 5 maps, the zombie experience is phenomenal. Great work!
What's going on BO6?? How can it be that a game from 2017 looks better (atmosphere and immersion), has a multiplayer that is just fun and works, instead of constantly annoying me with far too many gadgets and streaks and the shop, the maps are mostly amazing and play great, they are also sensibly designed.
The campaign is miles ahead of the newer CODs, no pompous bullshit but simply first-class entertainment (BO6, for example, I had to stop after a short time because I couldn't stand the nonsense and ridiculous staging).
I wish I could experience a multiplayer like that again today, please sledgehammer continue this part and please don't copy anything from the newer MW and BO parts....

An absolutely spectacular game and one of the best COD games out there, From its amazing graphics to its interesting characters to its wonderful campaign, it is a BANGER of a game and one that should be recognised more by the gaming community.
In my experience this Call of Duty has the most replayable Campaign out of all of them. It is so immersive and honestly one of the most underrated CODs out there. Great Game.
Can I just say I played this game with my longtime friend on his Playstation the first time and I loved it
I decided to purchase it for myself when I built my pc and can I say it was mainly for the zombie's aspect.
And to be honest I do not regret it at all however there aren't really active players so if you are one for solo easteregs go for it else maby twist a friend or two's arm to join you for the adventure.
The worst matchmaking for multiplayer lobbies. will never play online.
i dont know why people didnt like this one , its one of my favorite cods, showing the harsh reality of World War 2, this game shows the humanity at its worse and everybody is just a dead man walking

The story's OK, but it could have been a little bit better, but that's what you get from a Call of Duty game. The other. reason why this game is getting a thumbs up is because of the story.
I would not recommend this game as it feels clunky with the limited sprint, but the Campaign is very fun. However, the Campaign strongly lacks replay-ability, with the few missions and the same thing over and over. Another thing that annoyed me was the fact that this game was incredibly historically inaccurate, for example, Pierson carries a Tompson gun with a 50 round drum mag, which would never have been given to soldiers. This is is just one of many historical inaccuracies, and I feel the Devs are truly sick to market this as, "Honoring the Memory of WW2" when it does almost the exact opposite of this. Go buy squad 44 instead. Its a better choice.

its not a bad game theres some mechanics that are better than others, but its really fun but very buggy alot of glitches and multiplayer is dead its a shame
its not worth full price but if you see it on sale then its worth for the zombies and campaign but dont expect multiplayer gameplay.
Various graphical bugs and difficulty spikes in the most random areas. The game can also decide just to frag you if it doesn't like you.
Already a few years old but the best WW2 game still - hands down! Good scenario (reminding us about the horror of the war), great graphics (set to ultra) and some pretty intense moments! Highly recommended.
It's like a jump to the past and to our childhood, when Call of Duty used to be a WW2 based game, going through the iconic settings of the great war as you'd expect from an old CoD... but with the storytelling of the new games that make it feel like it's taken out froma war movie.
Squad dynamic adds a great touch to the game, giving you constant support from different allies in different ways.
Mission vary enough to keep the game from getting boring, switching from infiltrating between nazi lines to stealth missions or all-out tank battles.
It's a spectacular game, and a must play for all old-school CoD fans.

(2nd play through) I quit because the QTE's are the worst!!!
I'm tired of being beaten up by a German over 40 times with less than a second to drag my mouse and interpret the key, then somehow press it on time, assuming I can read it or don't miss the mouse drag...
This review is purely based upon the campaign.
I expected a better version of the older COD WW2 style games. Sadly this is not the case. It feels like they wanted to let you experience WW2 through the eyes of a soldier, but they failed in doing so. Biggest issues are the overdramatized stereotype characters, lack of an original realistic and immersive story that makes you want to identify with the main character you play and in general a lot of historical inaccuracies, partly the result of having a very small cast playing the characters. As if a colonel at the front briefs one single sergeant on what to do...
All in all, gameplay itself was fun, just a very poor story that simply wants you to skip the very very long cutscenes as quick as possible or in general wants you to alt tab and do something else for 10min while waiting for the cutscene to end.
