Outlaws of the Old West is a massively multiplayer survival MMO with a huge world, thousands of items and a modular building system. Survive the wild, build your own homestead, defeat villainous bandits and work with others to tame the Wild West.
Multiple biomes and changing weather affect not only the types of resources you can harvest, but also the animals you encounter.
The scale of the environment and harsh climates will challenge the player's knowledge of the land and ability to survive.
Launching with an initial massive play area of 144km^2 that will only get larger it's easy to get lost in the wilderness.
Use anything you can get your hands on to survive.
Satisfy your basic needs such as hunger and thirst and protect yourself against dangerous predators like animals, bandits, and other players.
Preperation, wit, and a strong gumption are necessary to withstand the harsh environment.
The temperature and climates will also affect your ability to survive so be sure to bundle up!
With a real-time day to night cycle, temperature, and changing weather, one must be prepared to endure the elements.
After the sun sets, nocturnal wildlife and lower visibility make for a fun and different experience.
Be prepared for a frigid night as temperature will drop!
A multitude of tools are at your disposal to craft, farm, or build your own home.
There is a tool for every need.
As you progress, you will discover there are many uses for each.
From arrows to bullets to buckshot, dozens of weapons and ammo types can be crafted to hunt or fend off unwanted guests.
With melee to long range, there is a weapon to suit your every need.
Go wild with explosives if you're feeling destructive or use a slingshot to get the job done quietly!
A plethora of varying wildlife roam throughout the land.
Some species may even be tamed.
Make sure you are properly equipped as not all are friendly!
Hunt animals for survival.
Gather their resources to satisfy hunger or even dress your character.
However, if you are unprepared, you may find yourself dinner for a hungry critter!
Enjoy leisure time with some good old-fashioned fishing.
Try your luck with a rod or fish traps, but you will most likely need some bait first!
Use your tools to craft items, chop trees for wood, farm the land or mine for precious minerals and ore.
Build your very own cabin in the woods or a ranch for you and your posse.
The land to build on is boundless, any area you can walk on can be a perfect place for your new home or business!
The structural support system, ability to rotate at any angle, and destruction tools make for a more realistic building process.
A detailed and in-depth modular building system makes it all possible.
Mix and match hundreds of clothing and items to create your own personalized Wild West fashion.
Craft as many outfits as you want and you'll never have to wear the same thing twice!
What is travel in the Old West without a horse?
Find a desirable mount and tame it to make it your very own.
Don't forget to give it a name.
Trade with other players to create a thriving community.
If you trade through the Auction House, you may end up having a bidding war with fellow players.
Though be careful who you do business with in lawless lands.
Craft wagons to transport large amounts of goods to distant locations.
Set off on a journey through the west or sell a ride to a stranger.
The utility of wagons in the west should not be overlooked.
Fend off crazed miners while mining for riches.
We all hope to strike gold!
Gain experience through your actions in the game and level up your character's stats to become the toughest in the west.
Careful of your actions they will affect your player's morality.
You may become wanted and NPC bounty hunters will be on your tail.
Players may also seek to claim the bounty on your head, if you're an outlaw.

This game is sadly abandoned as i really enjoyed it when it released. however there is another game that looks similar to this on steam it's called Frontier Legends worth a look. not released yet but there is a demo currently for it.
The game is abandoned. Snail/Wandering Wizard prevents further development.

We honestly can't afford to keep self-funding this game but we're doing our best with what we have. We had a 1.0 update planed which we were hoping would allow this game to have a second breath of life. (New character models, pieces, engine update etc) We're not allowed to launch that as 1.0 since Wandering Wizard does not agree with the amount of content. (That is their right of course) We're stuck because we can't afford to keep self-funding the game and we're not allowed to launch our 1.0 As for our "Wrestling Game" that is self-funded through our mean green sales and has nothing to do with outlaws or Snail/Wandering Wizard.
This was posted by my boss in Discord as part of a conversation and I figured I'd better share it here since not everyone has/uses Discord and I didn't want those people to be left out.
I can say with 100% honesty that we want to give our players the 'world' (a digital old west world of course :steamhappy: ) but there ARE a lot of things that go on behind the scenes that we unfortunately cannot talk about in detail that sometimes dictate what we can or can't do.
someone help i found out how to start solo but now multi player won't let me in cause of.
hey dude can you make a video on how to get onto a multiplayer server using the method of starting with battle eye cause when i do it. well it doesn't work and i can only play in solo. please help. the (message says Game needs to be restarted via BE launcher to properly start or update the BE service.)Please help.
Shit set up bought it couldn't play it because when you download and install it they have a file that wont load proper onto your PC to allow you to even open it its so stupid wanted to play wit my husband and it is messed up stupid mad bad
This game suffered a slow, lingering death, and was abandoned. It had *some* potential, without being really worthy of purchase at any point. It's as if the developers had a great idea, then suddenly forgot it. What's worse, it was killed, rather than left to die. Look into it, and you'll find a big name behind it's demise, that has made actual games all gamers have heard of. Consider this when buying games from that big name in the future.
The first time I've been a victim of a cash grab. No updates in years. Why does Steam still offer this game? DO NOT BUY!
The Game is super bugged, if you die your body glitches off the map and you just lose everything that you've farmed for, for hours, horses get stuck on rocks and it takes forever to get them back on track, the game just needs worked on

I really enjoyed playing this game. I still try to play now and then, but it's getting harder to play because more things are are going wrong and there is no one to fix them. This game hasn't had anything done to it since 2020. I'm amazed they are still selling this game. Shame.
Yes is the game is abandon ware, but I run my own server and friends and me still have a blast. And to the all negative people that say this dev is a s h i t show, they had copyright problems that killed this game. So for me is still thumbs up, ohh and don't use the crap win 11 spyware when you like to play old games.
If you're a fan of the "survival" type games, hunting, wilderness game play, this is the game for you! Build your own shelters, gather, hunt, make cloths, cook food, crafting, and much more! This is one of my two all time favorite games!
Early Access | Windows 10 game
Compatibility
Sadly, this game isn't 100% compatible with Windows 11 as of January the 1st, which has been a major disappointment. So to play multiplayer COOP, you will need Windows 10! It's stated in the Steam store's 'system requirements'.
Single player gameplay
Getting started on single player has been a lot of fun, but I have been kind of 'lost' without proper guidance. I have done some research into things, such as reading the Wiki or watching YouTube videos. I like the modular building system, which allows the player to quickly errect structures, to suit the player. There are many different workstations and I haven't progressed far towards the more 'advanced stuff'.

It's been four years of no updates - this was the Wild West era of alphas stealing funds from good natured folks. Great success for the devs on that front.

I like the unknown of outlaws all of a sudden attacking you. I do not know if you can sell things like food or honey yet. I wish the animals were more aggressive.
Great game! very large map, great graphics, best crafting system I've seen on games I played. don't waste your time on official servers they don't work well, Play on private online servers, or play single player, they both work very well, for me anyway(win.10). I know the Developer has stopped work on it but it's still a very good and fun game. worth every bit of the 5 bucks I paid for it. There is a learning curve to it though, watch a few YouTube video's first. Remember some will like it and some won't, and that's ok.

A lovely shell of a game that retains a dedicated remnant population.
It could be so very good if only the developers would turn their eyes to it once more or, perhaps even better, they'd sell it to another group willing to finish it.
It fills a niche that just isn't well exploited currently.
This game is a typical early access scam.
Gameplay:
This game was abandoned after the first minute of early access.
The devs never had any intention of working on the game, no communication and no answers.
A beautiful trailler, which makes you want to play, at least to go and see what it's worth, but in reality the game doesn't resemble the trailler.
The game isn't finished and never will be, it's full of bugs and trouble comes very quickly, the hope at the release of some update let us believe that it could become something but it hasn't.
There are no players in the game, and he alone is a deadly bore.
Graphic design:
It's not pretty, and there are bugs everywhere: collision bugs, graphic bugs, NPCs that are only there to decorate badly.
Developer gone, and don't let them come back.

Abandoned game. Sad cuz it HAD potential. Hasn't seen an update since 2020. I still have it installed as I play with friends on a private server and we just build cities. Don't waste your hard earned dollar on this.
The Game looks abandoned, last update 2020. It was never great the way it was. Super horses, you could get your horse going and jump like a god with it. If you're looking to burn time in yet another farming survival game go for it, but it's still in early access and hasn't been updated in 4 years so...
Abandoned and unfinished. Do NOT buy. Just play RDR2 singleplayer instead, or if you can play RDO in a solo session or on console, do that. This game is an absolute scam.

When a game is more chore-ish and cumbersome than actual life then I rather do my chores here at home...
More early access alpha theft. Game hasn't updated since 2020... Steam really needs to implement some type of system that tracks all "alpha" release games and if they haven't been updated in a certain amount of time either remove them from the sales list or make the game $1 until it updates.
so far its a great survival game ill update reviews as i go. i like the building a large cabin and living off the land and hunting trapping etc. very cool, looking forward to travelling to towns and see what happens. i seen a hunting party off in the hills but i kept my distance, just in case they were not the friendly type lol. not sure why this game did not go forward in popularity and progressive development. this open world of the wild west survival, is great! im hooked. its now one of my favorite games to play. the bad reviews are just petty complaints from perfectionist if you were to ask me, the graphics and landscapes are beautiful.
