Detect , download and decode unknown or story telling signals. Manage and Maintain an electrical system to improve your systems and make it more efficient. Detect more signals, earn credits and upgrade your systems to improve their performance.
Find story telling signals that will give you more data and will tell the story of explorers out in the space.

A bl**dy great game that I have played for years, both on and offline (you can run this game from its executable without opening Steam). Once I have learned the main loop of the game, it became a breeze to find signals and enjoy the atmosphere of the setting. To me, personally, this game has the same zen vibe as the trucking games (ETS2 and ATS) and the Farming Simulators.
There are still some things I haven't discovered yet that exist in this game. For example, I remember reading on the forums that there is a giant alien mothership/UFO hidden underground that can only be discovered with the Mars rover - I've yet to get to that stage as I am mostly upgrading the antennae and other equipment around the base for now.
I can't thank the original developer of this game enough for making it! Even though I've played this game for a bunch of years I am still very much enjoying it and look forward to finding things I haven't yet...

Signal Simulator is an absolutely finished game with no unfinished parts in the slightest. But despite that, it is still a good game in different ways for different people. Want a game to chill out and relax to every day? Signal Simulator may be just for you. Want to have some excitement? Well... there may be a non-spoiler guide or two to help you out.
Regardless, the gameplay loop is very clean, and there are a variety of touches that are very nice. You can even listen to radio and watch movies in the game while you search for signals! And that's pretty dang awesome. If you play this game blind, you'll find it as a relaxing experience that every once and a while might surprise you. And that's why I recommend this game.

Great game once you figure out how it works, athmosphere is good and it feels very eerie. Nothing does happen usually, its just creepy to get the signals. If you're wanting to get a game like signal simulator, that is still being updated and has more content and story, I really recommend looking into Voices of the Void, its free on top of all.
An intriguing SETI experience that unfortunately seems unfinished and has several problems and inaccuracies. Its alleged spiritual successor, "Voices of the Void" is a very different experience. This game feels more "professional", made by an enthusiast; while the other feels very "amateur" by comparison.
Another piece of shit
Bad game i can't get a signal i look at guides and it does not work i know how to do it i just can't pull it of.
So the game works i just can't get the elevation and this a word i can't remember.
Mostly anti-climactic. And eventually boring. My last 35 signals were all random, without any progression of any sort of story.
But hey at least you have an easter egg floating in the sky every day with some dudes face on it. OOoooOOooo SPOOKY
i just wish one day the dev will come back and add new stuff its a great game
Dev abandoned the game, his account just stops having activity after 2021 so probably passed away or something.
