It's KSP, everyone knows what this is. It works, it's fun. Play while eating popcorn watching the dumpster fire that is KSP2.
if you don't play this game you will never fully understand orbital mechanics without spending enough money to buy a mars rocket on college tuition
use mods to also understand nuclear fusion and advanced ballistics
my playtime is a lie (20x its value)
S-tier edutainment. When I get I handle on the simplified physics of the base game (will probably take dozens of hours), I look forward to trying out mods that expand on it (eg Principia) and that account for radiation, oxygen, etc (Kerbalism). Deep and really scratches a creativity and curiosity itch.
Yes.
It is fun, challenging, satisfying, and relaxing all at the same time.
If you haven't played by this point... well... don't wait for Kerbal 2 to become playable (long story short: big dev bought it and killed it) get this one! It's still good!
Seriously, this isn't cope.
The base game is still good after all these years and it will continue to be good and if it's not what you're in the mood for at the moment look into all the mods... so many mods.
I dare say this is Apollo 11 of space games, the single best rocket space game to ever hit virtual store shelves.
Unlike the 2, KSP 1 is a good game that can be modded to be enjoyed with friends
Great game play if you have a liking for SPACE. best played with Mods but don't if you have a "SHIT" PC. have fun and always get some nice srceenshots :)
Dres is not real
For me, at least, this game be one of the three: a learning haven, a fun, creative space, and an amazing time killer. I would 100% recommend this to anyone.
its Kerbal Space Program. If youre looking at it you already know what it is. There is a reason a specific subsect of people obsess over this game. If youre a science, physics, or space nerd you will enjoy this
it only took me 5 generations of the 'fartmaker' model to figure out you need heat shields to not liquify your guys. this is science, people!
This game can be frustrating at first but is super fun once you get the hang of the mechanics and terminology.
Very fun, I modded so it looks better but it is still very good without visual mods
Great game. Progress at your own speed. Genuinely hard to achieve things first time without having to arbitrarily 'punish' failure. You learn and come back stronger, enabling discovery of new and innovative ways to fail.
id recommend using mods once you get bored of the regular gameplay like RSS which is sick asf but yeah very good game 100% good even in 2025 and after the second one came out (KSP 2 is mid asf)
I've just started playing career mode and it's a great game. I've yet to have any issues with it, and absolutely no bugs as far as I can tell. I've never tried ksp2 just simply due to reviews and research, but based on that I would recommend this over the second one. Career mode is exciting, the furthest I've gotten is getting to orbit around Kerbin. It's a great game overall, highly recommend trying, especially for the price.
Just when you thought you were done with the game, you want to dive deep in it again and build a whole base on simili-mars. Fun, it just lacks some colony mechanics that were supposed to be implemented in the sequel but the studio decided to take the money and flee.
Bunch of fun! It is right on the border of an actual sim, but still manages to be easy enough for anyone to play it. Would 100% recommend!
absolutly amazing physics, and customisability definatly would recomend
Fun and enjoyable little game. I run on 20 fps on a good day but i like it when my rocket go kaputt. I definetly reccomend this to ANYONE, especially on sale for $10.
This game is by far the best way to gain an intuitive understanding of orbital mechanics. It's also "fun", in the way that a souls-like is fun once you vanquish a boss (in this case, once you return from a mission with loads of science points).
Didn't play for much but what I saw was very promising... if I had some time to devote to remembering the physics from HS/College. What did end up happening was spending about half an hour trying to dock between two moving objects in orbit, which was a painful (but hilarious) experience.
Strauss Zelnick, as CEO of Take-Two Interactive, holds significant power and responsibility over the projects his company undertakes.
When Take-Two Interactive acquired the Kerbal Space Program franchise, fans had high hopes that the sequel would uphold the legacy of the original. Instead, KSP 2 launched in early access with significant performance issues, missing promised features, and a lack of transparency about its development timeline.
As CEO, Strauss Zelnick sets the tone for Take-Two’s corporate practices. His leadership directly influences the strategic and ethical direction of the company.
One of the most controversial aspects of KSP 2’s troubled development was the abrupt closure of Star Theory Games, the original studio behind the sequel. In 2020, Take-Two Interactive reportedly poached Star Theory employees to form Intercept Games, effectively dismantling the studio. This aggressive maneuver led to mass layoffs, leaving many talented developers without jobs and raising serious questions about Take-Two’s ethical practices. Such actions not only disrupted lives but also undermined the continuity and quality of KSP 2’s development. The fallout from these decisions highlights a broader pattern of corporate indifference under Strauss Zelnick’s leadership, where the pursuit of control and profits came at the expense of human capital and the integrity of the project. This disregard for the welfare of employees further strengthens the case for holding Zelnick accountable in court.
By holding Strauss Zelnick accountable in court, we send a strong message to the industry: corporate greed and consumer exploitation will not be tolerated.
Ksp 2 is utter bullshit but 1 is still a classic. It's still the best way to learn orbital dynamics
The game has some quirks, but is overall very smooth -- especially considering the many game modes of building, space flight, atmospheric flight, landing, take off, etc.
I dont have a lot of money. I dont have a girlfriend. I dont have a university degree and i dont have good mental health.
But what i do have is 10 kerbals stuck on the Mun so i am content.
Made a rocket, it took off, it destroyed the VAB and launch pad, turned it into a cruise missile
This is one of the best games ive ever played i would recommend to people who are nerdy and like space games ahead of its kind for a multitude of reasons
great simulator game for everyone.
trial and error are big parts of the game; so don't worry if your first spaceplane blows up :)

=========================
this is a difficult game at the start that needs alot of trial and effort on your part but it is one of the most mentally rewarding games ive played
it's a fun game, and a good way to design spaceplanes, planes or rockets. I quite like aerospace so that will by default attract me to this type of game, i also like how it's put in a bit of silly way with the kerbals
trust. more mods equal more fun. TRry to understand the game. if you do, install bd armory and the addons u want. It is so much fcking fun
It's very fun, even better with mods/DLCs. 10/10
This game is awesome. Fun orbital mechanics. Me and my 8 yr old build rockets together. Super fun
Definitely the best space simulation game on the market. If you are looking at getting ksp2 don't. Get this instead
Very nice and well made game. Although mods can be a bit buggy.
Absolutely fun game and gives the chance to be creative and think outside the box. Hard to understand in the beginning but you understand it more later on in the game!
there are 3 types of KSP players, the second being the rarest,
1: people who bought KSP and hate space
2: people who play KSP every now and then
3: people who play KSP 90% of the time
Its amazingly playable and helped me alot with the knowledge over the game
This is a cute rocketry simulation with rich and complex orbital mechanics. Fun for all ages.
This game will consume you. no matter how you play it, if you are a rocket scientist or have no idea what you are looking at, this game makes you feel like you can go into your backyard and build an FAA compliant mars lander.
The ambition of the British Empire has been complete the universe will not dare speak against the vast and mighty expanse of the empire even with the deaths of many native populations in the lands his Majesty has said" I secured peace, freedom, justice and security in my new empire"
good game, spent 20 hours making a plane just for it to implode upon take-off
R E A L I S M. very good game. base game lets u have pretty much everything
I have loved this game since it came out. Such a fun introduction to orbital mechanics and engineering principles. Great for teaching important planning as well. Well worth the money.
it is good but there is a slight problem rockets tend to wobble lots in science mode and they also spin out of control but it is good overall so you should play it just a note ADD MORE STRUTS
It's really fun. I would wait for ksp 2, but if you want you can get this one for less money
Hell yeah, I love this game so much and am happy with the flight mechanics, although the wobbly heckin joints suck sorta
KSP is a fun, challenging game perfect for space enthusiasts. Its realistic physics and orbital mechanics make designing rockets and exploring space a rewarding puzzle. Every mission, whether successful or explosive is a learning experience. While KSP 2 fell short, this game is still thriving thanks to its modding community. Mods expand the game with new parts, features and entire solar systems, keeping it fresh and fun. If you love space and the history of space travel, give KSP a try.
a great way to learn orbital mechanics
