Quenches my shattered dreams of illegal weapon manufacturing and Generation 7 Fighter Jet designs.
This game is great no matter what you do wether its launching kerbals succsesfully or blasting them into the side of the mun if great... oh and dont let jebedia have full control or an entire cup of coffee.
so dope! I suck at this game unless i play in spacex mode where I get points for building ships that blowup.
worth the money! this game is great. you gotta be a pretty good engineer and a good thinker, it can be hard to learn but its worth the learning.
More than ever, this game is relevant.
You probably heard of the disaster that KSP 2 ended up being, but if you did not, know that this first opus, this KSP is the one you're looking for if you want to explore space while using realistic physics and methods.
As a base game, it is solid on its own but, it does have a few shortcomings and bugs.
This is why, while I do not recommend modding the game from the get go in order to understand what you are actually modifying, it needs to be said that the modding community for this game is still going strong almost a decade after the final release. They have come up with their own mod manager (called CKAN) and most mods are compatible with this final release of the game - we're talking abandonned mods by their original creator being updated by members of the modding community for the final release. You can expect more content, more game mechanics, updated graphics and visuals, textures etc... Most of what you would need it there in the game. Even multiplayer support - although this one is capricious so no promise on that front. What I can promise though, is that mods on CKAN are free.
Speaking of pricing, 70 bucks is expensive - considering the expansions which are mandatory imo, and even with modding in mind. Just know it goes on sale regularly and can drop to below 40 bucks, which is a bargain. So maybe wait to get it, but know it will be worth your time and money.
sent a kerbal into space to collect data in a shitty rocket not even expecting him to make it to the moon, and the rocket proceeded to leave him orbiting the sun for 10 years. still trying to get him back 10/10 game
I didnt evenn get to duna ( requires some brain usage ) and the game graphiics a bit bad so i recomend installing a few mods
i love the little green guys on the right hand corner of my screen every time im flying and just the quality of the game is truly amazing i really recommend it if your looking for a fun creative semi realistic space game!
:)))
Hey kids? Want to learn literal rocket science? No? Ok but what if we made it fun? Like, REALLY fun? Well boy howdy do I have a game for you...
This game has great physics compared to other rocket games.
Great Game, everything I remember about it. Creativity, tedious work, accomplishments, and wxplosions.
It's a lot of fun. Especially with mods. It's not worth 40 dollars alone but with mods, I've gotten over a thousand hours of gameplay from it. One of my longtime favorites and probably will be long into the future.
Kerbal Space Program is just one of those must-have games everyone needs. The replay-ability is second to none ranging from continuing on to build rockets and spacecraft, to only concentrating on aircraft if you want. After exploring most of the planets I found myself spending an entire year just building tons of different types of aircraft. Love some KSP!
this game is so much fun. at the time of writing this i think i have around 7 ish hours on the game and well, i suck at this game, but this game requires patience and is pretty hard at first. i can tell when i get better at this game or master it ill have double the fun. i will say if you do not have patience this game is not for you.
A game that keeps on giving. Knowing that the next planet is within reach but at the same time so far away creates a heavily addicting game. With so much control over all parts (literally) of your spacecraft, you must learn and rebuild from every failure, making every successful launch so much more rewarding. I have spent so many hours in this game and still have not reached the outer planets with anything more then a hastily built probe randomly fired off out of the solar system. I would describe this game as Educational, Rewarding and the perfect space exploration simulator.
i am kerbaling it, ohhh i am kerbaling you need to goon jeb, goon, for the space program!
Kerbal Space Program (KSP) isn’t just a game about rockets and space — it’s about taking on the vastness of the cosmos with creativity, persistence, and, above all, a sense of humor. Whether you’re carefully designing a space station or launching a rocket that’s destined to explode in a fiery ball of chaos, KSP offers a uniquely satisfying experience that combines complex physics with boundless fun.
At its core, Kerbal Space Program is all about building and flying spacecraft. The freedom to design everything from basic rockets to complex interplanetary craft is what sets it apart from other simulators. The intuitive building system allows for intricate designs, and the game's realistic physics engine means that even the smallest design flaw can lead to catastrophic failure.
That’s the beauty of KSP — each launch is a lesson. Will your rocket go to space, or will it explode halfway through the launchpad? There’s always something new to learn about aerodynamics, fuel efficiency, or staging mechanics. Success comes from experimentation, trial and error, and, of course, the occasional well-timed parachute deployment.
Exploration is where the game truly shines. KSP’s solar system is beautifully designed, with planets and moons that beg to be explored. The sense of scale is awe-inspiring, and every successful mission to another planet or moon feels like an incredible achievement. Navigating spacecraft through orbits, performing gravity assists, and landing on celestial bodies all come with their own challenges, but the satisfaction of pulling off a perfectly executed mission is unmatched.
The game’s career mode adds depth, requiring players to manage resources, upgrade their space center, and meet specific mission objectives. It’s not just about exploration; it’s about building a sustainable space program. You’ll need to carefully balance the design of your spacecraft, your funds, and your crew’s safety to make sure your missions are successful.
What really sets Kerbal Space Program apart is its unique sense of humor. The little green Kerbals that pilot your ships are endearing, and the fact that they have no idea what they’re doing adds a layer of humor to every mission. Watching a rocket launch and explode in a spectacular fashion, all while your Kerbals panic in the cockpit, is as hilarious as it is frustrating.
Graphically, Kerbal Space Program isn’t the most cutting-edge, but it’s still visually charming. The bright, cartoony aesthetic of the Kerbals and their ships gives the game a lighthearted feel, despite the often complicated mechanics. The environments are vibrant, and the simple, clean design ensures that the game runs well even on lower-end systems.
Sound design is functional but minimal, with engine sounds and mission alerts that serve their purpose without being distracting. However, the sound of a successful touchdown or the hum of your spacecraft’s engines is oddly satisfying.
Let’s be real: Kerbal Space Program is tough. For newcomers, it can be incredibly daunting to understand all the systems at play. Orbital mechanics, gravity assists, and fuel ratios aren’t easy to grasp, and your first few rockets will likely end in disaster. But that’s the charm of the game. Once you begin to understand the mechanics, everything starts to click — and the sense of accomplishment when your rocket reaches orbit or lands on a distant moon is unmatched.
Kerbal Space Program has a thriving community, and the modding scene is a big reason why. Players have created everything from new parts and spacecraft to entirely new solar systems, expanding the game’s already vast possibilities. The modding community keeps the game feeling fresh and allows for limitless creativity.
Kerbal Space Program is a masterclass in balancing complex simulation with fun and creativity. It challenges you to think critically, plan ahead, and embrace failure as part of the learning process. The sense of achievement you get from mastering orbital mechanics or landing on a new planet is hard to beat. It’s not for everyone, but if you enjoy a challenge and have a sense of humor, there’s no better game to explore the stars.
A brilliantly challenging and rewarding space exploration simulator with endless possibilities and a ton of charm.
A Hilariously Challenging Adventure Beyond the Stars.

So far, I love this game. If you love space games, give this a try. It does have a little learning curve, but it sticks fast.
As always, have an amazing day. God bless.
As a spaceflight nerd, this game is awesome, I totally get why it is so loved. Cult classic if you ask me. If you are any bit of a spaceflight nerd, this game is a must play. As an added added bonus, this game can can run on a potato
Played years ago and just came back to it, better than ever. One of the all time greats!
I started a new job at a Spaceship company and this has been a professional development tool. I know more about the things my real GN&C engineers are doing because of KSP. I even am getting them to help me with design and staging requirements. Can't recommend KSP enough! What a ride!
It's great. I love sending space frogs into the sun at incredible speeds.
this one is a classic, very educational, and fun.
it takes a great amount of commitment to learn the ropes though.
I wish it supported modability on the workshop but then again TakeTwo gutted the studio and this game's sequal which makes KSP1 the undefeated champ of space games to date.
id say it is worth the price if you want to commit.
The Cunt-Fuck 3000, containing roughly 20 kerbals, is en route to the Kerbol system's star. Godspeed.
Very fun game. starting the game might not be as fun but the more you play the funner it gets. I recommend starting with sandbox mode learning the game mechanics then jumping into career/science mode but sandbox is arguably the funner game mode. Very modable game and is so much fun with the 1000s of mods for this game.
I love this game like i love my monsters, not addicted but dedicated
very high content game, could do with some graphical improvements. very happy with my purchase. 4.5/5 stars
Kerbol is very bright, get graphics mod to make jebediah good looking, gmae is very addicting, my wife just left me after I reached to save bill kerman instead of her from falling into a river
This game will test the limits of your creativity and critical thinking. Be patient
pretty good game! i could see myself getting A LOT of hours in KSP in time cause this cause theres just so much to do, and so many diffrent air and space craft that you can try to build. there are still some bugs and glitches, but you dont need a good pc to run it. i dont think it is worth the $40's, but if its on sale, HECK YEAH!
One of the best games ever created in the category of "games that would be ideal to have on your computer if you were stranded on an island for 10 to 15 years".
Cult classic. Very dated graphics. Unfortunately doesn't run as well as it should with modern hardware because it's an old game. Still, incredibly fun and kept alive by the insane modding community. Highly worth it.
Don't play the sequel.
This gam made me vely smart. And after 240 hours I finally learned how to use staging, and how to leave atmosphere. I rate it a solid ksp1/ksp. Buy it or u explotana.
very good game and entertaining makes you feel like a good rocket engineer or scientist,
This game is in my top 5 games of best games ever.
If you like to build and explore, try this out. It's not a high score or instant gratification kind of game, though. Achieving your goals could take a while, but you'll have a lot of fun and probably learn a thing or two about space exploration in the process.
please note, i allegedly have 257 hours of playtime at the moment of writing this. 95% of those are from leaving ksp running so that i dont have to locate the correct game and save file when i come back to it the next day. i probably only have 5 or 6 hours at the time of writing this. but they are all worth it...
Fun but quite challenging. Definitely need the help of guides and other third party content to fully enjoy this game
amazing but technical game, I suggest doing some Youtube tutorials to figure out how everything works before you go crazy!
Download CKAN the second you buy the game, you will find mods in your game you dont even remember installing
this game is great for those who want to learn about orbital mechanics and rocketry, this game has taught me most of what i know about the game, its very hard for the first time but as you play longer and longer you will learn from mistakes and never fall for them again.
Good game planes and rockets and lil frog
First it makes you want to kys, then you learn about aerospace physics and engineering. 11/10.
Good game, insane mod support, fun, and replayable!
i love this game but after while sometimes you need a break but then your like you know what... i miss the mun and it sucks you back in and you want to create more and more complex stuff its a very good game some of the missions though kinda suck and repetive
frustrating but addicting, plus a little real life physics. great game overall.
I study aerospace engineering, honestly this game is really useful to visualise many of the maneuvers and effect of going into a heliocentric orbit and stuff like that. If you get really into it, it might also help you understand launch windows and round trip Hohmann transfer missions, of course this is all with a significantly reduced difficulty than real life, still quite cool.
I only play career mode so I can't speak for the other modes, but the tutorials are honestly really helpful and it's one of the only games which I would say the tutorial really explains some of the hardest parts of the game. For example achieving a rendezvous was conter-intuitive for me as simultaneously trying to match V and matching position seemed really complex.
The career mode is quite well made, starting with small rockets to play with and basically only the Kerbin orbit as possible missions from the game. Then you conquer the moons and land on them, get more science and progress through rocketry.
Eventually you venture out into the solar system and send out probes to other planets, after that you can finally send out maned missions to other planets and try to land on them. This is all a pretty reasonable mission profile in my opinion.
Yes the physics can get quite janky when you speed things up, water surface tension is extremely high so you very easily break everything when landing large crafts on water. Some missions forces you to collect data on extremely mountainous dark side surface parts of the moon and is almost impossible to do. Rockets tend to behave like snakes without many structural reinforcements, and they do weird things when they get too long. However all this as part of a game just makes it more fun and amusing to watch, and if it was a perfect simulation, I don't think nearly as many people would have enjoyed it.
A brief Summary about this game, you manage a space agency where the 2 hiring traits are courage and stupidity. this game is also best with mods.
KSP is my all time favorite game.
The greatest thing about games is learning STEM withouth realizing it.
In KSP you learn about DeltaV, Orbital Mechanics, Interplanetary transfers and so much more.
All of that combined with the great feeling of for example your first Mun Landing makes it hours upon hours of fun!
Harsh learning curve, but amazing game. Great mods as well.
