this game is a really good first look into aerospace concepts, very fun!
not the looker but content wise this game surpasses ksp2 play this one.
jeb is now in a permanent orbit of the sun with no discernible ending where he is alive and well foreseeable.
10/10 would sacrifice astronauts for the pursuit of science again.
its fun its kinda limited and we have to weld everything its not to bad though its expensive though unless you have money to blow don't buy this overall 8/10
This is the game that convinced me to study aerospace engineering in the real world.
One of my favorite games of all time, the modding capability is massive and while after so much time you may run out of things to do, there are plenty of challenges and variances for you to do. This is game is so good its too bad it never got a sequel :(

It has very good quality graphics as well as some really good physics going with the simulation.
Nothing is more entertaining and infuriating to sit there and build a rocket for hours and then launch it only for it to go absolutely wrong in 2 seconds.

One of the most entertaining games I have ever played if you enjoy building things. I played for a long time on xbox before I got a PC and it is so much more fun!
I lost several kerbals due to my ability to land and to design a working spacecraft. 2 kerbals were stuck on sun orbit with no fuel, 3 crew members were stranded on Eve, and a rescue mission failed because I forgot to add batteries and it had no power trapping more kerbal on eve 10/10

Hands down the best space rocket game out there. The game by itself will keep you busy for years, and when you add mods then you got yourself a life-long game to play.
A fun game that deserved a better sequel
Awesome game to understand the physics of rockets. But you need to be very consistent since its a hard game
holy shit i love this game
first ~200 hours are stock, learning how to actually play the game (like when you learn to drive you learn how to properly drive/survive when you pass your test)
next ~200 hours you'll dip your toes in some modpacks to make the ShitFuck9000 go ftl or attach an M2 to it
and from there onwards you'll have a love hate relationship with RP-1 which i am loading up as i write this review and smoke a bowl.

how to install CKAN go to your browser of chose and search CKAN install, then when downloaded go to ksp on steam and right click and go down to 'mange' then go to 'browse local files' then open files go to downloads and then drag CKAN into your ksp file and then there you go
Very good for understanding orbital mechanics and is just a fun game. Jeb goes booom
Take the game seriously and you have probably the best space simulation game in history! It's still incredible to me that KSP, such a goofy game with goofy characters and goofy physics, still makes extremely good use of real life physics and scientific formulas to provide a surprisingly good simulation of astrophysics (obviously gameified and still arcadey) and brings about a quite in-depth system for creating fully functional rockets, space stations, rovers, satellites, relay satellites, commnet satellites and so much more. This game has taught me more about things like Delta V, inertia, friction, atmospheric pressure, atmospheric density, gravity, orbital mechanics, orbital manoeuvring and more, much better than any science or college class ever will.
Don't take it seriously and you end up launching the Ballsniffer Mk. 7 into the side of the Mun at Mach 20000 decimating poor Jeb before he even got a chance to breathe.
10/10 Regardless of playstyle!
better than KSP2 by a long shot. Unbelievably moddable. May require a NASA PC if you add too many parts. Kill little green frogs in a multitude of ways. Commit genocide under the cover of a space program. 10/10 would recommend
The best space flight sim game there is. Build rockets, space planes, anything that you desire and reach for the stars. The graphics are fairly basic, but you can easily improve that with mods. The gameplay is also amazing since you can build anything and explore the many moons and planets in the Kerbol solar system.

I'm not really good at building stuff but this game is very fun. As long as you have the skill of making a moon rocket (which i don't have yet) or something like that you'll probably have a lot of fun.
This game was an absolute gem on it's own, before modding on my PC. Now my PC is outdated and I'm playing KSP on a steam deck with Bluetooth enabled mouse and keyboard, the magic is back! It's seamless once you get it going. I had maybe 500 hours on record before buying it on steam (mostly beta-earlier times).
Buy this game over the second one. It is amazing, has a great modding community, and is a great introduction to the series. If you are a science/rocket geek this is for you. There are a lot of space games but I haven't seen a game that replicates the freedom but simplicity that this game has. Great for learning the basics of orbital physics if you get technical.
After the super underwhelming release and subsequent news about KSP2, KSP1 reminded me on what amazing game it is. Slap some mods into this game and it looks even better than its "sequel."

Do not buy Kerbal Space Program 2! This here is the one you want. Very chill and pleasant game about space-exploration and a good bit of physics. This game is a milestone in game-development itself. Highly recommended

Don't get KSP2, just get this, download CKAN, and mod this instead. This game is a fun relatively realistic space sim with fun and silly elements and even without the comparison to its abandonware sequel it is a really fun game that I would absolutely recommend for anyone interested in flying in atmosphere or in space and interested in building air or space craft. I urge anyone interested to ignore KSP 2 exists, the dev team has abandoned that game, leaving this ironically the more fully featured game, especially when paired with the vast modding community KSP 1 has.
Two is not always better than one, at least when it comes to KSP2 vs 1. Buy this over the sequel.

I love this game, had it for many years, might write more details later but for now, just get the game! Esp. for Linux (like myself) and Mac users, who didn't even have access to the utter failure of KSP2 which was also only on Windows.
