LithTech was way ahead of it's time during this generation of development. It's a casual shooter, at most low budget, but the engine itself is what saves the entire game from a lack luster story. I'm glad I fell down a City Interactive / LithTech engine rabbit hole, because I thought Monolith were the only ones who had their hands on this type of technology.
I can't seem to find myself to have tremendous hate for these games.. I catch myself enjoying them, and they are very short. Could be finished within an hour or two.
Despite not actually being part of the Mortyr series, this plays very much like Operation Thunderstorm. In fact, my review for Operation Thunderstorm was originally written for this game and then edited to fit contextually as I played them out of release order. The protagonist is joined by some friendly AI this time around, so instead of moving as a single indestructible soldier, you move as three indestructible soldiers, and the enemy AI seems to be significantly worse overall. All of the missions are once again very short, and one of the maps seems to be recycled, but the voice acting in this entry is greatly improved. If you like one of these games, you’ll probably like the other as well.
Another janky, short FPS that runs off the game engine that the first FEAR game used. For around a dollar on sale it's just barely okay. It's a shame that City Interactive doesn't have the later and better games that they made up on Steam at the current moment.
Too easy, too short, gunplay fun
I mean it's not even that bad lmao. It's one of those cheap City Interactive games from the 2010s. The game lenght is like 1.5 hours (not even kidding) but since the game runs on the Jupiter EX engine (same game engine as FEAR) the combat is atleast fun.
