Great game! Super detailed terrain, it's very impressive.
This game felt like it was early access to play
Controls are clunky on keyboard, the audio keeps resetting every 2 seconds and blasting my ears out, sorry but it's a refund. Really wanted to like this though.
Good to kill time and have some peaceful fun, runs on my potato pc that's a plus. 10/10 i need more upgrades and tire pressure modification
Pretty fun little game, as many of the reviews have already said there isn't an awful amount to do at the moment, someone summed it up perfectly as a free-roam rock crawler. I at times felt there wasn't much driving me forward with motivation.
THAT BEING SAID.
It's a very good game, the physics seem to be implemented well.
the models are nice and the customisation's seem to make a difference on the overall handling.
it runs with a keyboard fine from what i found but is better experienced with a controller or even better a steering wheel.
I have refunded this game for now, with the intention of returning to the game when i feel like it is a bit more well rounded.
it works well as a cheap and less stress inducing version of snowrunner or spintires.
does anyone know how to access the multiplayer? previous updates say it has been implemented but i cannot find anything about servers or multiplayer in game
This game is great! If you enjoy offroading then you are going to love this game! Super realistic physics and overall fun game play! A nice game to relax and play!
If you're looking for Snow Runners, this ain't it.
The rock crawling is kind of fun, and I do a little of it in a real jeep. This works, for kind of something to play around with and get a chuckle out of. The physics mechanics are actually kind of nice. In fact, I wish they existed in Snow Runners. The vehicle just feels better here.
All that said though, you're paying for a silly little rock crawling tech demo if you ask me. If that's up your alley, get it. If you're expecting a game out of this? Eh, you should pass.
I wish I could leave a "eh" review. It wasn't a yes or no recommendation. I was just curious what kind of rock crawling stuff was out there that wasn't Snow Runners.
It looks great.
Everything else is beta feeling. Some examples being low and high range on the transfer case and the vehicle brakes. They are there but they don't really work the way you expect. The low range doesn't give you a torque advantage and better low speed control it just makes it so you don't go as fast you've still got to give it all the throttle. I guess the vehicles have brakes. I couldn't tell the difference between rolling to a stop and holding the brake.
They also need to allow some type of mapping or dead zone modification for controllers. I tried several and only about 30% of the trigger throw actually engages.
I tried changing vehilcles and changing tires. Nothing made it better.
it just makes it not enjoyable.
Overall, I'd say 8.5/10 .
I like it, there's clearly a lot of effort being put into the physics of the game and you can definitely tell. I'm gonna support the studio because I believe in this game and what it could be. Some people said that there was multiplayer at some point, that would really add another level to this game entirely, being able to spot friends, mess with them and sometimes giving them a helping tow across a peculiarly difficult boulder.
It's a great game, it's fun mechanics but I feel like there's not much of a challenge or objective apart from the obvious climbing over rocks. Finished the first map in maybe 30ish minutes, maybe the rest of the game takes way longer but I can't imagine it being much different from the first experience. Pretty much every car customization is free, at least most of the ones that actually affect the ability of the car. I would love for it to have some cost or goal or requirement for purchasing every lift kit or bigger tire. Hey atleast the bumpers and fenders aren't free!
That being said, this game is exactly what it says, a rock crawling simulator. You really can't complete some of the trails without locking the diffs or switching it to 4WD. Maybe adding a damage model or parts wearing out that won't work as well as you complete each trail or take a hard hit could be cool? Gives you a sense of self-preservation and not just absolutely send it across every rock and stone (DRG reference).
I like choice of cars (which could also be paid so you have another goal to work towards), controller and wheel support is great (Xbox One controller, Thrustmaster T150 wheel) and feels good.
Way too easy, climbed through 3 whole maps in 2wd and high range. Enough said.
Also if playing on keyboard/mouse, cant even click the last few maps in fast travel because the description of the middle map covers them.
very fun if you have a steering wheel setup but over all 10\10 game
basic, simple rock crawling. customize several trucks or buggies with tires, wheels, suspension, paint and exterior. everything has what sounds like a 4 cylinder diesel so there is no engine mods n such. but a blast to play and the physics behave well.
Found this in discovery queue, and actually good for the price, although, runs on Unreal Engine, so it sadly comes with the issues of it, like weird edges on objects, and bad framerate, otherwise good though
its just like a phone game. it is very boring and the sound is VERY bad...simply put i do not advise this game.
For some, this is going to be pretty low on the content side. There's only six or seven vehicle frames to choose from, and you build off of those. There's two jeeps, ones like an 80's renegade and one's closer to a late 70's Wrangler, there's a Ford Fuggin' Ranger and a Suzuki Samurai/Jimny thing. There's Also a tube frame crawler buggy and an SUV tube frame that reminds me of a Bronco. I think the 7th is a convertible 70's Toyota Landcruiser or a late 70's Land Rover. That one I'm less sure on. The only difference in the frames seems to be wheel base. I've found longer frames to be less capable of completing course without errors than the small frames. On top of that, other than possible weight change (we don't have any metrics for weight, so no clue), 100% of the customization is aesthetic only and unusable. No winches, no jacks, limb guards do nothing (tbf, the trees are static and limbs go through the vehicle), nothing has a useable mechanic (yet?). I also can't tell any difference in wheel types. There are Mud tires, Rock tires, "old", tractor, general tires, etc., and they each have a three cellphone bar rating system (that is completely not explained), which I assume is for normal terrain/mud/rock (in that order). I have tried all the tires, all of them perform 100% the same when tested, according to my playstyle for these types of games (mudrunner, etc.)
You also have to purchase the customization items with in game currency you get from completing challenge courses, which isn't terribly hard to do. The challenge path is lined out with traffic cones, which when hit, penalize you with currency deduction. So far...I have found at least 7 courses where it is nigh impossible to complete without hitting at least one cone due to the angles at which the generate. I've had to make a 45+ degree turn in a five ft space to avoid hitting a cone...and failed, for instance. Also, on some of the courses, the actual ground itself will grab the back axle and literally not allow you to proceed. You have to drive over a cone in order to pass that particular checkpoint. Map 2, A-Course Snaketail right by the initial spawn is currently impossible to 100% due to this.
Now, all that sounds kinda lame, tbh. However, I don't think it matters. Once you realize that there are only like....40-45 courses and it only takes around 25k to fully customize all vehicles with useless aesthetic parts, you realize that the entire game can potentially be 100% in about 5 hours, maybe 6, in it's current state. Then, all you have is free climbing. Even the challenges become pointless because the traffic cones ONLY serve to reduce in game currency gathering. Once you own everything, you can just blast through courses or take different lines and it still counts as complete (you're going to be getting sub 40% completion scores, but who cares?). You learn that the game becomes vastly more fun when you no longer have to care about the devs terrible checkpoint system. You focus more on climbing things that aren't tied to challenge courses, which there is a LOT of. Some random climbable stuff seems crazy that it isn't at least part of a challenge course line. You can see a couple of these in the images the dev provides above. I'd also recommend that certain random stuff still have some form of quick trigger to pay a smaller amount of currency for doing. The first map has a super steep rock wall that's one of the best climbs of the map and you get zero reward for doing it. 100-200 cr for smaller things would be cool.
This is a free roam sandbox ( maps are pretty small, just a warning) off roading game set across four small maps with some badly designed "challenge courses" meant to earn you currency to spend on a very small hand full of useless cosmetics for seven vehicle frames than near make no difference. Don't buy it if any of that matters. To me, none of that matters because the climbing physics are good and it's the open world sim part that matters. Once you buy everything and 100% every course, the game gets 1000x better because you stop caring about useless shit and you just enjoy the sim for what it is: a game about doing a redneck thing most of the player base can't afford IRL. It's real good at simulating that, and worth the money.
Fun game but not a lot of content, I understand its not a big studio and I'm not faulting them on that. It had multiplayer for awhile and it was a blast but has since been removed. Hopefully the devs put multiplayer back in as i feel that is the main thing to come back to it for. That being said i do higly recommend this game!
Best rock crawling game Ive found. physics and terrain are great. Game is small and vehicles/customizations are limited, but it seems devs update it often so hopefully it continues to grow. Overall worth it!
its a pretty good game ngl, now that it has steering wheel support, i love it more
outstanding game ,highly recommend
This game is very fun and I would really recomend it if you like rock crawling or games like it
very realistic with near perfect physics.
Can't recommend at the moment as it doesn't recognise VRS wheel, pedals or USB handbrake. Recognises external shifter and game-pad.
Simple-great driving driving expreriance.
Great game to just explore and do some rock crawling free from time. maps aren't that big but fairly fun for the price. simple for any age
Pretty Nice Game !
Creator are also super active
Fun rock crawling game. good amount of customization. fairly realistic!
cada vez melhorando em fisicas e mecanicas
Fantastic and realistic rock crawling. The maps are challenging but fun.
Cool game!
Nice litlle game to relax while rock crawling.
Very open-access game for just plain old fun. If you like off-roading, crawling, and mudding, this is the game for you!
If you're looking to pass time driving trails in overpowered vehicles with little to no sense of challenge, progression, or achievement, then look no further. If you're like me, just get Snowrunner
This game is so simple that it is near perfection! It's truly a fun and blissful experience! Everything from the the great selection of car customization to the carefully crafted, yet seemingly natural maps and trails make this game so enjoyable! I may be a bit bias as the base car is essentially the first car I ever bought (a first-gen, short-frame Mitsubishi Montero)! It's also worth noting that I personally get a hyper-fixation itch scratched by playing this game, and not everyone will get the same euphoria high that I experience from "car go up steep rock". Nevertheless, if a simple little driving sim is something that tickles your fancy, then look no further than this masterpiece!
(I have 2 small notes)
1: When hooked up to the trailer and you interact with anything that requires you to press the same button to hook up the trailer, It disconnects. This could be fixed by simply requiring you to hold the button to hitch the trailer so a short press doesn't release it.
2: Some cosmetics you can and to your rig include a spare tire. The spare only matches the default set of rims and tires. It wolds be nice to see the cosmetic spare change according to your selected set of wheels
(other than these two little gripes this game is perfect!)
awesome
Very fun game with a truly standout driving physics system. I've clocked a ton of hours over the years on the spintires franchise, and while fun that series is way more focused on mud. What this game really reminds me strongly of is driving RC rock crawlers. My only slight gripe is that the tire friction is maybe a little too strong, but otherwise it feels very realistic. The game isn't super long, hopefully the dev can add some additional maps. That being said, there's plenty of courses and it is well worth the price.
This game is genuinely the best off roading/crawling games, all of it feels so real, the way that just the certain way you take a line, changes the whole way you need to take that trail. This game is amazing, the only complaint I have, is that its only single player. Me and my friends play games like snowrunner, mudrunner, beamng and more just to get closer to that crawling off road experience. I found this game and haven't wanted to go back to any of the other ones, but i have to because I can't enjoy this amazing crawling game with my friends. Other than it being single player, i could not recommend this game more. But dev, do you have intentions of adding multiplayer again? I read in a forum that multiplayer was in the game, but I don't see it today. so I'm curious if it will be back? Amazing game nontheless!
This game was a lot of fun. I ground out 100% in about 10 hours and would recommend! If you want a simple, chill but still fairly accurate off road trail game, this is definitely recommended!
Very nice. Please give us the option to disable cosmetic damage and to change resolution. Looking forward to future updates
i see a rock, i crawl over it. i am a simple man
Recommended game if you are into motor sports or rock crawling. Single dev so updates take time but does great work.Hopefully mod support will go live now that it has gone full release.
Fun game. Grab a controller and chill
great game :) imho best would be to also add mud challenges
It's not a game. It's proof of concept for physics-based wheels mechanic. And the mechanics work perfectly!
Unfortunately, there's nothing to play here. It seems that the goal of the game is to overcome several off-road routes marked with road cones, but there is absolutely no difficulty in it! You just need to move slowly enough. Seriously - you just hold the throttle and move the left stick on the controller in the desired direction. And that's it! The route is 100% complete.
I think that this game is based on a very cool technology, and damn it, mudrunner should have some competition at least, because saber interactive got lazy and are making some rubbish because of that. But for that you need to add a game here besides just cool physics.

Это не игра. Это proof of concept для physics based механики колес.
Honestly, the best rock crawler sim that exists. I prefer BeamNG for physics, but the pbr scans for this game are gorgeous. I hope this sells so the developer can have some more fun! I would love to see more locations.
Great game. It's like driving my r/c crawler without the need to charge batteries.
- Single hard working Dev
- Good simulation
- Not just a sim, but worthy investment
- Focuses on rock crawling and not some other arbitrary nonsense seen in other products similar to it
Very fond of it, I get excited every time the Dev graces us with a update
So much progress from early access versions. Really good graphics and enjoyable gameplay. Do you like offroad driving? Look no further.
This game is awesome and worth every penny. The developer is probably an awesome human irl, nice work. Look forward to what the future brings
Needs mod support, but other than that its a solid game.
